On the recommendation of a friend from Kazakhstan, I decided to try out this newly opened Uzbek restaurant, and it turned out to be an amazing experience.
First of all, be prepared for a truly authentic atmosphere—no one in the restaurant speaks English or Czech, and most of the guests seem to be from Uzbekistan or Kazakhstan. This immediately gives you a sense of authenticity. While the language barrier might seem daunting at first, it’s actually part of the charm.
The staff may greet you in a typical post-Soviet style (not many smiles), but once you become a regular, you'll notice that they remember you and become more open, friendly, and even start giving you big smiles. It’s almost like building a relationship with someone, haha.
As for the food, it is simply delicious. I’ve visited the restaurant multiple times, which has given me the chance to try almost everything on the menu, and I can confidently say that every dish is outstanding. The homemade fried Lagman noodles are a must-try, as is the succulent beef stew known as Dzhiz. But the star of the show is undoubtedly their signature dish, Plov—a rich, flavorful fried rice that will leave you completely satisfied.
No matter what you order, you won’t be disappointed.
