The 20 Best Brunch Restaurants In Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Members of the official biscuits and gravy fan club, you have a new meeting place. It’s at Turmeric & Co., the new kid on the Hunter’s Station block, where you’ll find cumin biscuits smothered in turmeric gravy. Add the pork belly on top and attack it like a five-time eating competition champion defending their title. They also do a great shakshuka with perfectly runny eggs slumbering in a perfectly spiced tomato sauce. For a touch of something sweet, go for the golden milk millet porridge with warming turmeric and a delightful chew." - jackie gutierrez jones 2, ann walczak

Nashville’s New Restaurant Openings - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Hunter’s Station has a new Indian fusion restaurant with the only full cocktail bar in the complex. You can take your Bay of Bengal with mango and genepy inside or on the outdoor patio with bowls of street maggi, cashew korma mac and cheese, and the kachkumber salad. How do we know? It’s already on our Hit List." - jackie gutierrez jones 2

Turmeric & Co. - Review - East Nashville - Nashville - The Infatuation

"Thanks to Turmeric & Co., there are finally signs of life at Hunter’s Station. Taking over the former Picnic Tap space, this Indian fusion spot is the kind of place to keep in your back pocket for nights when no one wants to cook, and you have zero plans to change out of your sweatpants. But don’t mistake the come-as-you-are aesthetic as an excuse for basic dishes because the food here is anything but. Case in point: the creamy cashew korma mac and cheese, the light and bright kachkumber salad, and the vegetal saag gnudi. All are worthy plates to lure you from another 90 Day Fiancé binge on the couch. Also, Turmeric & Co has the only full-service bar in the complex, and the drinks—using things like corn milk, elote, and garam masala—are worth a visit all on their own. photo credit: Kelli Dirks photo credit: Kelli Dirks photo credit: Kelli Dirks Pause Unmute The barren warehouse-like space has been turned into a lush, fauna-filled escape with Bombay flair. Grabbing a table inside is fine if you’re with a few friends, but when you’re flying solo or with your better half, the bar seats are set up for quicker service because you’ll grab the staff’s attention first. Getting your food and drinks can take a while here, so don’t expect a speedy exit. Food Rundown Vada These crisp, savory donuts dipped in sweet homemade chutneys are a great starting point and make the run-of-the-mill bread appetizer seem sad. photo credit: Kelli Dirks Kachkumber Salad There’s a lot more happening with this salad than meets the eye. Cucumbers, fruit, and sweet onion are mixed with garam masala and lemon to create a bright, crunchy counterpoint to the rich dishes on the menu. It’s easily one of the best things here. Saag Gnudi Tender knobs of gnudi sit simmering in a creamy spinach saag stew. It’s rich in all the right ways and just works. photo credit: Kelli Dirks Cashew Korma Mac And Cheese The korma seasoning and black salt street snack crumble are doing the work here, elevating your standard mac to something that snaps your palate to attention. Cashew Coconut Cookie Probably one of the biggest misses on an otherwise notable menu. It’s hard and chewy, like an old piece of taffy. The flavors are there, but the texture makes this dessert fall flat." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Service was great! We got there shortly after opening, we had our order taken immediately. Food came out quickly, the bowls were aesthetically pleasing, plentiful, and absolutely delicious. The honey bee tequila cocktail was a perfect match. What really made the difference was our server. She went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We came in and everyone was so kind and welcoming. They helped us order what we were wanting and made an exception to add chicken to the lunch special for us. It was nothing short of amazing. The flavors just burst in your mouth! We had the coconut vegetable curry with chicken and we are so full and happy. The lunch portion was even more than I could eat and came with basmati rice and a salad. Everything was exceptional. Will definitely be back! And so reasonably priced! Wow!

Absolutely loved my evening here yesterday! I ordered the tandoori salmon bowl and the chili mango margarita and ate it with the garlic naan we got for the table. Everything was fantastic, but the salmon was especially delicious. I tried the lychee martini my husband ordered alongside my margarita, and it was hard to say which I loved more. The drinks weren’t too sweet and had nice complex flavors. For dessert, the staff brought us some syrupy fried dough balls (I think they were called gulab jamun), which was the perfect way to cap off a meal. It was absolutely enough food to take some home for lunch, but I couldn’t help myself and went home happy and full. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy an evening. The staff is kind and welcoming, the vibe is great (the ferns hanging from the ceiling are a nice touch), and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Turmeric & Co. has quickly made its way onto our rotation of neighborhood favorites. We’ll be back - maybe for brunch, because I’ve heard that’s great too. And we’re planning to take guests here when they visit and want to eat great food in East Nashville!

Google
my boyfriend and i stopped by because we were in the mood for some indian food and it did not disappoint! we both got chicken tikka masala (typical, i know) and it was fabulous. the garlic naan was incredible too. on top of the food being amazing, the service was great!!!!

Google
Loved this find! The rosewater in the lychee martini added just the right touch of sunset and the pork bites were tender and plentiful with just the right touch of fresh crush with the green onion sprinkle. Will definitely put this on my mental food map of treasure spots!

Google
I got the pork bites, chicken tikka masala bowl, and garlic naan. My chicken tikka masala only had four pieces of chicken, wish there were more, but they were larger I’ll concede. It was delicious and it came with a salad I really enjoyed. Pork bites were great with a nice spice to them. I got this delivered and all of that + 20% tip was $39.40, all in all not bad. Will get again. Didn’t take a pic before I started eating whoops. Great meal!

Google
We have eaten lots of Indian restaurants around Nashville, and mmmmmm…. The taste and quality of the food is perfection! Another big deal is that the dishes are always clean!

Google
The Tandoori Veg Platter was sooo good! And I sampled my sister's Massaman Chicken--also terrific. The staff was helpful to avoid gluten, and the drinks were delish. A perfect score!

Yelp
From the service to the food I will give them a 10/10! Turmeric & Co. can be found in Hunter's Station Food hall in East Nashville. Welcomed with great conversation and tips on what to order this was an experience that I've talked about since I've been. The salad, meatballs, croquette, and their cake of the day!! We got a coconut cake that was to die for! BIG thank you to TJ, Damien, Ocean & Sous Chef Ben (giving us all the ingredient on EACH dish) for such amazing service. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
This was a great spot to visit! The bartender TJ made my friend a mocktail based on her likes, which he specifically came over to question to make sure she got a mocktail she enjoyed! The food was well flavored and great fusion adaptations. I find many fusion places are too centered around the American palette, but this spot is great for the mix of Indian and American flavors. Also enjoyed talking to Damien, the director of the restaurant. Really friendly dude. Overall, would recommend !

Yelp
I cannot say enough good words about this spot! It's located inside Hunter's Station food hall. The menu looked so amazing we had to get some tips from the server to narrow it down! They pride themselves on their cocktails! Alot of the cocktails on their menu have aperitifs. The food is meant to be shared. My favorite bite being the onion pakora, it's simple but amazing! The service was amazing. Shoutout to TJ, Damien, Ocean & Sous Chef Ben for such amazing service. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
I hate to do it but I would not recommend this place to a friend. For a food hall the food was overly expensive, extremely slow and not tasty. The service unfortunately was not the best. We ordered three dishes the lamb meatballs, chicken 615, and butter chicken tostada. The lamb meatballs is one of those India Italian type fusions I would not mix with a heavy tomato base and not well seasoned lamb. The butter chicken tostada was probably the best of the bunch with a well flavored balance and crispy tostada. Unfortunately there was a massive chicken bone that could've easily taken out a tooth if I had bitten into it. The chicken 615 hit you in the mouth with its oil and very small pieces of chicken. The pickled vegetables on the side were delicious especially the cabbage. We were given complimentary Naan as our food took so long to come out. For three small plates without the best taste this place was highly overrated and I'll not be heading back.

Yelp
Let's support this place! East Nashville finally has good Indian food along with solid cocktails. Their cauliflower is a must order. The naan is fresh and plentiful! Pictured below is the salad, so colorful and the chicken had lots of flavor. They spruced up Hunters Station with their plants so it's really a lovely setting. Service is fantastic, they even do table side! Make them your next stop, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Great, semi-upscale addition to Hunters Station! Ambience is a little fancier than some of the other spots here, and while they offer some table service (as well as bar seating), you can share a table with folks who get food from other restaurants inside -- so everyone can pick what they're craving. We got a handful of dishes to share. Our favorites were the Aloo Papdi Chaat, the butter chicken tostada, and the cauliflower. Each had terrific flavor and texture. We definitely want to try the lamb meatballs next time! Cocktail menu was intriguing, and they also have a pretty extensive wine by the glass menu as well as a stocked bar. Generous pours for the price. We'll definitely come back.

Yelp
This was one of the best adhoc choices we made in Nashville. Great service, flavorful authentic India spices (coming from someone who has been to India before). Highly recommend!

Yelp
What a great place! It became quite busy just after we arrived, but the staff handled it beautifully. They communicated well and courteously. We order the Aloo Papdi Chaat, the butter chicken tostada, and the Makhani Trotolle. It was all incredible, but the Aloo Papdi Chaat really stood out. We were given vada on the house and it was great, too. We're looking forward to returning and bringing friends. The vibe was friendly and warm. We really had great interactions with every staff member. We felt really welcome, and that the staff was proud of their menu and service. Drinks were great, too. I got the Sailor Maker (I might have that name wrong.). It was a tad sweet for my liking, but a very well crafted cocktail in any case. (See photo.)

Yelp
I finally went to Hunter's Station today after avoiding it for a year or so due to many of the eateries closing up shop. There were a few new places I wanted to try, one of which was Turmeric & Co. (OMG Indian food!!!). Thrilled beyond thrilled that it was absolutely delicious, the presentation was just shy of being gorgeous, and the service was outstanding (T.J.!!) Yup - I'll be back sooner, rather than later Please give them some love when/if you can!

Corey J.

Yelp
Wow outstanding service, food and environment. The food was beautiful with complex fun flavors. I have eaten at the best Indian restaurants from Washington DC to Florida. This one is special, due to its small natural. Keep it up TC your winning-Ocean was the server and is awesome!

Jessica B.

Yelp
Great food and staff! TJ had great recommendations and was so great! The flavors were unreal!

Paula H.

Yelp
Indian with a contemporary twist that any ambitions foodie can appreciate. We loved every dish we ordered. I was so engulfed in what I was eating that i had not time to stop and take photos.

Kirsten C.

Yelp
This is my first yelp review because this is how good the food and service was. When we went, we were told the kitchen was closed, but as we were exiting the chef decided to make us a few courses to try. It was worth every moment. Everything we ate was mouthwatering. The chef, Angel, was absolutely amazing. This is a fairly new restaurant in Hunters Station but I imagine it will be packed soon. Don't walk, run here!

Yelp
Amazing food you can't get anywhere else. Service was exceptional..staff were personable and attentive
