Filipino Chain Jollibee Is Opening in San Antonio in 2020 | Eater Austin

"I’m reporting that vegan food truck Curcuma Kitchen is closing on Sunday, December 13 after still not making enough sales despite a recent influx of business; owner Rachel Musquiz decided to close, will work on retail products, and is open to possibly reopening the truck next year." - Nadia Chaudhury

The mango lassi was really tart and I couldn’t finish it, which was disappointing because I normally love mango lassi. The naan wasn’t cooked properly (they replaced it, but the second one was still undercooked). I ordered a dosa, and the sambar looked and tasted like it had been frozen and reheated — same with the chutney, which wasn’t mixed well. The paneer tikka didn’t have much flavor and the cumin overpowered everything else. The dosa itself was decent, and the gobi appetizer was okay, but overall the food just wasn’t great. If you’re looking for good Indian food, this probably isn’t the best spot. I did ask for my food to be spicy, and I did say things were fine early on — but the issues became clear as we continued eating. The undercooked naan, tart lassi, and frozen-tasting sambar and chutney were all problems during the meal, not days later. I posted my review when I had time — like most people do. Posting a review several days later does not change the quality of the food that was served to us that night. Also, the only leftover we had was the paneer tikka which already tasted filled with cumin. Attached pictures show why I thought the food was just warmed up and was frozen and given to eat. My review reflects the experience we actually had, and I stand by it. The pictures are from the day itself and not 6 days old.

Very lovely place! The aroma as soon as you enter was welcoming and kind of sealed the deal for me. Came for lunch on a random Wednesday. I had the crispy shrimp & butter chicken. My girlfriend got the curry chicken, pretty “basic” selections but they were amazing I was really happy that we found this place. The food was seasoned to perfection, the Naan was so fresh and soft!

Overall an enjoyable experience and highly recommend this place for dine in or take out. The atmosphere of the dining area is fun given the space they have to work with to create the intimate settings. The food was delicious and have a nice balance of spice to them, and are great for both indulging yourself or splitting things family style at good price point. Definitely enjoyed the curry and dosa items, and naan made great addition to anything. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, and attentive to the customers. I would come back again many more times.

I visited this newly opened Indian restaurant when I was very hungry, and it truly hit the spot! The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic flavors. The place has a warm and positive vibe, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy a meal. The staff were cordial and attentive, and I was pleasantly surprised when they offered me some additional sweets. A lovely gesture! Wishing the team all the very best for their journey ahead — I’ll definitely be coming back.

Excellent choice of both North and South Indian food on the menu. Samosa chat was great, dosa as well. And entrees also great. Didn’t try any of the tandoori or biryani, but the chicken and lamb dishes were great. Decent street parking. Worth checking out

Delicious delicious delicious. That's all I have to say. If you are in Philly and want to eat Indian food, this place is a must. Their chef/kitchen team is/are very talented - so much of the appreciation is for him/them.

Yelp
Turmeric as a spice is a beautiful bronze color that typifies the best of Indian cuisine. As a dietary supplement it offers health benefits to joints, heart and cognitive function. As a restaurant at 12th and Spring Garden Street, Tumeric Indian Kitchen offers a small corner oasis of south Asian food that is comfortable and delicious. I found the appetizers (Gobi Manchurian, Samosa Chaat) more interesting than the mains (Apricot Chicken Korma, Tumeric Chicken Tikka). The Gobi was lightly crisp with a pleasant sweet/chili profile that was addictive, and the street food star Chaat that allows the chef to throw in a variety of crunchy snacks that amuses as it strikes all the right tastebuds. Yet, the Apricot Chicken Korma while tender chicken and nice mellow yellow sauce, lacked the mild sweetness of other kormas and left me wondering why I couldn't taste a hint of apricot. Liked it, but I was hoping for something more rad. Their Chicken Tikka was chunks of right out of the tandoori roast chicken over a bed of red and green vegetable slivers, but without sauce. The bird was the focus, and could have been more with something interesting to blend with. We can forgive forgetting the Garlic Naan until we finally reminded them of it, because when we got it, it was hot steaming and a strong dipper for the remaining korma gravy. Love that Tumeric Indian Kitchen is only two blocks from my son's house, and that it certainly enriches the neighborhood. It is actually the second Goa house on this stretch of Spring Garden. A promising sign. Four Spicy Stars and a Mango Lassi!

Yelp
From the moment you walk in and are met with the wonder smell of Indian spices, you know food is going to be delicious! The service was top notch and you could feel like they care about the customers. We ordered a bunch of dishes but the Tikka Masala and the Salmon Tandoori were our favorites. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
They canceled my delivery saying they were out of one item. Didn't try to reach out or replace.

Yelp
Run don't walk to this dining experience! I highly recommend, this is the best Indian food I have ever had! We walked from our hotel across from The Reading Terminal, it was only a 15 minute walk. We don't have Indian food in our area ware from so we went a little overboard ordering and everything we had was amazing! We had the apricot chicken korma (chef's kiss) my wife had the chicken tikka masala. We also had the cheese and garlic naan, yum! I can't remember the other two side dish's we had but one had chickpeas and the other had cottage cheese like squares with peas and it was delightful. My wife had the lemongrass masala chia tea (hot) and I had iced tea both were delightful! We also had an order of dosa (plain) it was very good! The mango chutney was my favorite that I've had at an Indian restaurant! Like I said my wife just kept ordering. We took a ton of left overs home and if it is anything American chili it will be even better tomorrow after all the spices meld together. The place is nicely decorated with black table clothes and brightly colored napkins. The seating is a little limited but we had no problem getting right in. They had 3 tables that seat 4 and then a larger table for like 8-10 and then they had bar seating in front of the windows so if you're a solo person you could sit there.
