My family and I checked out Turtle’s Bar and Grill on a Saturday evening, and overall, we had a great experience. Parking can be a bit tight, and you may need to park on a steep levee, so keep that in mind if you’re visiting during a busy time.
The atmosphere is fantastic—Turtle’s is located right on the basin, and the waterfront views are beautiful. Watching the boats come and go added a relaxing, scenic touch to our evening. Indoor seating is somewhat limited, so you might have to wait or choose outdoor seating if it’s busy.
The ordering process is a little different: you grab a menu, then place your order at a window. Once your order is in, you’re given a beeper that lets you know when your food is ready—super convenient.
Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. We shared the seafood platter and gator bites, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. In fact, we all agreed the gator bites might be the best we’ve ever had.
The bar area was also impressive, with a solid selection of drinks and a laid-back vibe. We’re already looking forward to going back!
