"A smart Italian restaurant where the owner and his team strive to ensure that “everything is perfect”. The cuisine is firmly based upon classic dishes but is interpreted by the talented chef in a light, modern style. Well-presented dishes show care, quality ingredients and well-judged subtlety, especially with their flavours; the homemade pasta is a highlight. A substantial wine list includes some impressive French and Italian producers." - Michelin Inspector

"The narrow lanes of Shuangcheng Street lead one to Tutto Bello, an establishment of over two decades beloved for its quality ingredients and cooking. The majority of its wines come from Italy and France; the multitude of hand-picked wine glasses shows how much thought owner and Hong Kong transplant Samson Mui puts into the restaurant’s beverage options." - MICHELIN Guide Taipei Editorial Team

It was my favorite Italian restaurant in Taipei some 20 years ago. I haven't visited it for 20 years. To my surprise it's still open for business. Very good business. Unbelievable. The chef Mr Mui still runs the kitchen. The waiters and waitresses are still professional in waiting on table. Every dish is prepared by heart. The choices still beat my imagination. I tried to give them hard time with my orders. They can manage to meet my ridiculous demands. Bravos.

The best of the day- blood pigeon, full of flavours and very very tender. The sauce, the proportion..everything on the plate is just perfect. Lobster was good too but I didnt understand and enjoy that much about the curry sauce and spinach. The service was relatively disappointed.. The waiters didn’t explain all dishes in details, didn’t let us taste the wine we ordered, did something wrong on the receipt and I had to go to them because none of them noticed that I was waving my hand..

It really needs talent to tell merits from faults in this restaurant. Sending all my regards to those haters .

Food: The food is OK, but not good enough for the price - it costs more than a lot of Michelin started restaurants, but the food is not at that level). Nor is the food Italian - sure some of the dishes contain pasta, but that is about it. Service: The service is far too slow and they lie about how long things are going to take. We had a strict deadline with our babysitter (two and a half hours), and they kept on saying the food was about to come... It didn't. They also ignored me - I don't speak Chinese and so they didn't consider me worth talking to - which made the experience somewhat unpleasant... They also don't care about allergies (see below) - bring your epipen! Atmosphere: The atmosphere is OK. But there are too many things that a naff such as cheap paper towels and chipped ties into the bathroom. It cost as much as a (two) Michelin started restaurant in London - but the food isn't anywhere near as good, the service is appalling and the atmosphere is nothing to write home about. Not worth your money (or time).

Came here for a birthday celebration date, they did not disappoint us. Very nice hospitality and got a great ambience. Pasta dishes was exceptional and beyond our expectations, however with the price that came with it we expected to be larger portions. Phenomenal lobster sauce. We both order a dessert but since we were here to celebrate birthday, they also served the chocolate surprise, which brought a nice performance. Tasted as good as it looked! However the charge was apply to our bill.

When we first went into the restaurant, there wasn't anyone at the counter to receive us. We had to find our own way in and ask if we had a reserved table. We sat down for about 5 minutes, but no waitress came to give us menus. We had to ask for them ourselves. After we ordered our food, I asked for an "iced cappuccino," and the waitress even confirmed my order. I pointed to the one I wanted. But then another waiter came over and said they didn't have the alcoholic drink I ordered. I was confused because I had asked for coffee, not alcohol. It turned out the waiter heard something wrong. Conclusion, I took my friend to celebrate her birthday, but I didn't think it was worth the money.

Chef Mui consistently delivers exceptional dishes, showcasing a mastery of culinary skills. Most of the dishes are impeccably executed. However, what I adore the most is that whenever I crave a plate of perfectly al dente pasta with exquisite flavorings, my thoughts invariably gravitate towards this place, often leading to me ordering not just one but two plates. I must also commend the outstanding service provided here.

A favorite for our family, my dad loves this place and brings me every time I visit him in Taipei. Their unique interpretations of Italian dishes create an amazing symphony of flavor & taste; I’ve never had anything here that I haven’t loved. I highly recommend this place as it is quite special & in a foodie capital like Taiwan, it is one of a kind! Definitely get a reservation and it’s a perfect place for a date to impress.

Yelp
Food was delicious but over priced. had the salad, fillet, and white mouses.

Yelp
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. How does this place has 4.5 stars? I'm guessing they switched chefs? Also this is not "real Italian" coming from someone who has visited Italy. For the price, the food does not perform well. My family ordered the prix fixe menu (6 courses) and we were all disappointed as only 2 dishes stood out amongst the 6. The 1st course was a salad with scrambled egg topped with truffle and a slice of ginger. It was ok but I felt that if I had truffle in my kitchen, I can easily recreate the dish. My 2nd course was supposed to be scallops - but the restaurant said they ran out and had to substitute it with shrimp scampi. We were the 1st people there as 6PM was their first seating. This restaurant was obviously not prepared to serve what was stated on their menu. Have you ever watched documentaries on exemplary restaurants? Check out Chef's Table if you haven't. This would not have happened at a restaurant that is high quality. Also this dish was meh. Nothing special. 3rd course was a beef soup. Tasted regular and I could've gotten this at a night market. 4th course was pasta with truffle. This dish I liked, but besides the truffle, nothing else stood out. 5th course was the wagyu beef which I really liked. It melted it my mouth like butter. 6th course was a cheese plate. MEH. If you are a high quality restaurant, you should offer cheese I've never tasted. I've had each one of those - blue cheese, parmesan, cheddar, etc. They asked if I wanted coffee or tea..I asked for decaf coffee to which they came out 10 min later telling me they "ran out". How can a high quality restaurant NOT have decaf coffee. If you don't have this option, do not offer it to your patrons. Overall, I WOULD NOT recommend anyone come here. My family was disappointed with the amount of time and money spent. in addition, it is obvious the wait staff have not had formal training in serving a high ambiance restaurant. This restaurant would never ever achieve even 1 Michelin star. I just looked up the chef and googled him - no info to be found about him.

Yelp
Best Italian dinner I had in years. As an European I often went to Italy for business and around Taipei it is pretty rare to find quality Italian food. Warm people, did not see the Chef but the Manager is all ears. Wine choice is up to any palate. (PS) Ask for the prosciutto dish for appetizer with a glass of Martini or Campari...

Yelp
4/26/16 dinner. Taipei's hidden treasure, tuck away behind the imperial hotel. If tutto bello was in a Michelin city, I'm not sure too many restaurant could serve better food. The chef does his thing without ever letting the diner forget that he serves great product. 20+ years of amazing food. The duck confit on capellini was too die for.

Yelp
A great place for real Italian, one of the reasons why Taipei is consistently ranked as a foodie destination (its ability to attract and retain chefs from around the world who decide to settle down here). Chef's menu is always interesting, and always a pleasant experience.

Yelp
A long time safe bet in town, consistent Continental cuisine, cozy nouveau bistro surroundings & wine-friendly staff. A solid 4-stars IMHO.

Yelp
The restaurant was very expensive (even by American standards and pretentious. The service was slow. The food was mediocre. The oxtail was measly. The mashed potato tasted like it is from the box. There is no warm and fussiness from the waiters.
