Where to Drink Margaritas in Orange County for MargaritaCon | Eater

"The margarita is one of the world’s most popular cocktails, so it makes sense that this Rancho Santa Margarita Italian restaurant would feature one alongside other Old World-influenced cocktails. The house margarita here keeps it simple, with lime as the only citrus taste alongside Astral Tequila Blanco and simple syrup, making it a great drink to pair with Mediterranean chicken or other protein-forward entrees." - Robert Spuhler

House bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar was good. My daughter liked her spaghetti with meatball. Meatball was a bit grainy for my liking, but my daughter still ate it, so no problem with that. I truly enjoyed the berry salad with pecans. That's the highlight of our restaurant visit.

Google
Its order first, then find a seat, just a heads up. But, man, this place was the bomb. The food was really, really good. Fast and delicious. Service was fantastic. I had the lamb, and my wife had the picata. Overall, it was superb. My only issue was that they ran out of cheesecake, but that means it's really good, so order it with your meal.

Google
An italian restaurant with a drive-thru, and an atmosphere half fast-food, half restaurant. I had a chicken parmesan made with overcooked pasta, very dry chicken, hyper concentrated tomato sauce. After this dreadful dish, I tried the tiramisu. That was horrible too: what is supposed to be cream is a plain sugar tasting paste, and layers of dry sponge looking layers. The whole thing was a really bad experience.

Google
Mexican Italian restaurant who know how to cook just as much as they know how to give proper portions for a $20 dish. A rip off to say the least and the food was as tasteless as their decor when I went and returned the dish due to it being inedible. You would think their prices would mean the food at least tastes good, you’d be wrong though. It’s a shame really, I always wanted to try this place and had high hopes for drive thru italian food, but they missed it on all marks. Do yourself a favor and try literally any olive garden if this is your favorite italian place. Source: An Italian American who likes food

Google
We always stop to grab a bite here when we are in the area. They have a good selection of food to choose from and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food comes out very quickly. It's always hot and yummy. It's not the best Italian food, but it's worth trying. The portions are decent too. Thanks Tutto Fresco!

Here is our ti go place first breakfast on weekends for over 3 years. The food is good the atmosphere is great and service is good as well. Is bug and you can choose which vibe you like to eat your food. The dinner also is great.

Google
It's been at least 3 years since I've died here, and the food didn't disappoint. Normally, I think restaurant ravioli is "no value" for what they give you, but my mind was changed when I had the lobster ravioli. Tasty, and PLENTY filling - definitely value for the money. And...in 2025 where a sandwich alone could cost you over $20.00, I was pleasantly surprised that most entrees came in UNDER $20.00. The food came out in 20 minutes, which is not bad, and it was relatively crowded ( Friday, 7:00pm). Definitely looking forward to making more frequent dining stops here in the future.

Google
This place is really good, great food and good prices. Really love to come here.

Yelp
food was absolutely amazing chipotle chicken pasta 9/10 it had a lot of complimenting flavors and didnt feel as heavy as i thought chicken tortellini 7/10 very comforting and delicious spinach and artichoke dip was SO GOOD service was good, we have to find a seat (someone will bring menu) and then go up to the stand to order and pay at the same time

Yelp
Absolutely ridiculous. Apparently they got a new manager making up the rules. So now if your meal comes with salad and a side pasta, and you decide that you'd rather have some extra pasta instead of the salad that will be a wopping $10 up charge. At that point I might as well get an entire whole order of pasta. $10 dollars for some extra noodles instead of a salad. I've been coming here for 15 years and this is the first time someone has even brought up the notion of an upcharge for noodles to replace the salad that I don't want. Noodles are about the cheapest ingredient on the planet. What was so great about Tutto is that they always tried to be accommodating and treat the customer right by being reasonable. The staff told that there are a ton of new rules that won't allow you to change the sides anymore without a $10 upcharge. If you want steamed veggies instead the salad or pasta, then you better have $10. Manager should be retrained in customer service or fired.

Yelp
Lowkey hidden gem. You wouldn't expect much from an Italian spot with a drive-thru, but this place delivers. The lasagna was solid--cheesy, meaty, just the right amount of sauce. The chicken Alfredo with broccoli was rich and comforting without being heavy in a bad way. It's the kind of food you go to when you don't want to think too hard--just warm, familiar, and filling. Even the Caesar salad was fresh, and the free bread? Dangerous if you're hungry, in a good way. Customer service was genuinely friendly, which surprised me for a fast-food setup. You don't get that kind of energy at most places like this. Spent $40 for two entrees and a salad, and felt good about it. No frills, just solid food when you need it most.

Yelp
As always, great service, reasonably priced, tasty food delivered to our table quickly frin the kitchen. I tried their new Seafood Cajun Pasta descibed as a mix of seafood & pasta in a Cajun butter sauce priced @$29.00. When it arrived, it was a large sized bowl chock full of a seafood medley: mussels, scallops, giant shrimp and sausage resting a a generous portion of pasta and all swimming in the Cajun butter sauce. I was unsure how spicy the Cajun butter sauce would be but while it was very flavorful, it was not soicy at all, at least for me as someone who uses Tabasco like some people use ketchup. The seafood was all delecious and not fishy or musy in taste or texture. The giant prawn crowning the dish was yummy but really messy to eat. The legs were really spiky and painful to hold with your fingers, and wasn't worthy of the pain to see if I could retrievecand meat from them. Extra napkins accompaying this entree would have been a nice thought. Despite those very minor isdues, I would re-order this entree again.

Yelp
Another great experience with 10 of us having dinner! Erika was a doll, she brought all the food to our table with Palo, and she was able to serve us the Eggplant Rollatini, which used to be on their menu and is fabulous! So if you know about it, and like eggplant, it's delicious. Then I had the usual Baked Ziti w. eggplant, mushrooms & meatballs. We all had a great time, and the food was exceptional, as was their tomato sauce. It's a really nice interior with Italian music playing in the background. We had lots of delicious desserts, I think we had about 4 of them. The Spamoni is delicious, the Mud Pie great, Carrot Cake and Hot Brownie w. ice cream. Can't wait to return, this place never disappoints, and is a real winner!!

Yelp

Yelp
If I ever get lost, just check Tutto Fresco because there's a 99% chance I'm here, living my best (and most carb filled) life. The lasagna So good it made me question every life choice that led me to eating frozen lasagna in the past. The Margherita pizza Let's just say if I had to choose between it and my long-lost childhood dreams the pizza wins every time. And the garlic bread? Oh. My. God. If I could legally marry it, I would. Crispy, buttery, garlicky perfection. I may or may not have whispered "I love you" to it before taking a bite. Tutto Fresco, you have my heart and probably a permanent reservation for me.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience here each time I go here for lunch or dinner. The pasta I tried today was really good and creamy. I like how the noodles is not too hard. The customer service was good. The waiters would come check up on you to see how we we're doing.

Yelp
Good italian food with lots of selections. You at the counter and pay, they deliver the food. they have a nice typical italian decor and vibrant colorful paint. Accessible and lots of parking in the area.

Yelp
We were driving to pick up some donuts for a potluck when we stumbled upon Tutto Fresco. The drive-through pasta aspect caught our eye. We took a U-turn to check it out. I was craving some Italian food and this met the mark. The pasta was freshly made. We came inside because we had time and it's not a fancy place with no frills, but the food is delicious! It was super busy during the dinner rush, but a quick order at the register and 10-15 minutes later, our food was ready to bring to the function. We ordered the cajun chicken pasta (8.5/10) and the meat bolognese (7/10). I enjoyed that the pasta came with bread, balsamic vinaigrette, and parmesan. Our friends enjoyed it too and we'll be adding Tutto Fresco to our casual eats and takeout rotation.

Yelp
Food was amazing and definitely gave a homey/comfy vibe. When you order, you go up to the front bar to order and pay, then they bring you your food at your booth. We got the chicken tortellini, chipotle chicken pasta, and spinach and artichoke dip. Food came out quickly and servers were nice and checked in frequently. I see it as a reliable simple place to go when you're craving a homey bowl of pasta. Also, the free bread was great, very soft and flavorful with the oil and balsamic vinegar.

Yelp
Family friendly atmosphere. Everyone was terrific. Food was pretty decent. I had the lamb and it was very good although not a huge amount. Service was attentive. I liked the people that work there. Nice indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
Good was very good. Prices are good. I ordered a Cobb Salad that was very good, just didn't like how the blue cheese was given too clumpy. Staff was super friendly and location was clean. The he portions are huge.

Yelp
The food was amazing !! Will be coming back everytime I'm here!! The fried zucchini are the best we've ever had . Service was great too!

Yelp
This was my first time here on a week day and for what it is I'm actually teeter tottering whether or not I'll come here again for lunch. It was nice that there was a lunch special which is what I got. I asked the server/order taker to help me decide on what to order of what's her favorites. FYI you order at the front and if you're dining in they'll bring you your food to your table. On the menu, the lunch special is served Mon - Fri until 4:00pm lunch-size portion of paste (excludes Gnocchi al Carne, Lobster Ravioli, Truffle Shrimp & Cajun Seafood) and petite caesar salad. You can also substitute garden salad or soup $1 more. This was a good deal. I just don't know if the pasta choice I got was something I'll get again. I got the chipotle pasta with blackened chicken $17. I just felt the chipotle sauce overpowered everything. On the menu it said that the chipotle pasta comes with linguine, blackened chicken, sautéed red and yellow peppers, tomatoes, corn, onions, chipotle cream sauce. You can also substitute shrimp for $18. I just didn't taste the rest of the ingredients like the tomatoes, corn, and peppers because it the chipotle cream sauce is overpowering. Chicken was definitely blackened and a bit dry. I only ate half of the pasta even though it was already a smaller portion. I enjoyed the Caesar salad and bread that came with the lunch special. One of the servers also asked if I wanted olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I also asked which was better, the calamari or the fried zucchini because I'm a fan of both. The server said she enjoyed the calamari more and she's right. The calamari was crispy and the sauces that came with it are two very different flavors. One was tomato basil and the other was a jalapeno tartar but it wasn't even close to being spicy at all. I didn't even know there were jalapeños on there. I also ordered a glass of Lambrusco. Altogether I spent around $45 including tip. Maybe next time I should order a more authentic pasta. Ambiance was okay. 3-4 table booths were dirty when I was trying to figure out where I wanted to sit. Bathrooms were acceptable. The area gave an old rustic feel. Oh I forgot to mention this is the only Italian place that I know that has a drive thru, which I saw a few cars there waiting in the line while I was leaving. There's also plenty of parking and they do cater and hold private parties here if you're interested.

Yelp
Went back today had the same thing unbelievable lobster ravioli the sauce is like a thick lobster bisque with the arugula and tomatoes. Nothing like it.

Yelp
Another great trip to Tutto Fresco! Came for lunch with the family after church, and it was not crowded at all. We were seated promptly, and the staff handled everything at our table. As it got busier, the transitioned smoothly to handling orders at the counter, but that was not the case for us. We opened with the spinach and artichoke dip, and after allowing it to cool, it was just as tasty as I dreamed it to be. My daughter enjoyed the fettuccine alfredo, and it was a good sized portion consisting it was a kids meal. My son and his cheese pizza became fast friends as well - it was a touch on the basic side, but for a kids pizza it hit the spot. My mother ordered the antipasto salad, and it was massive. Could be shared if not treated as a meal for sure. Wifey ordered the Fontaine, and it was a touch greasy for her liking, but she enjoyed it nonetheless. I ordered the chipotle chicken pasta and it was wonderful. Creamy, full flavored, and just enough heat to notice it was there. Overall, the seats were clean. The table was freshly wiped. And the restrooms were spotless! Special shout out to the forethought that went into putting a large floor drain with a grate under the urinal. Someone was thinking ahead, and the underside of my shoes thanks you. Lastly, I want to give all kinds of kudos to our server. She managed the floor so effortlessly, with a great attitude, and her smile was authentic and bright! Thank you, Erika!

Yelp
Wow, my son wanted to try this place and we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was and the service was excellent. We ordered one meatball sandwich with fries, a small side of garlic cheese bread and they gave us some bread with vinegar and olive oil as well. We ordered online and picked it up on the drive through window. The girl working drive through was very nice. We had already ate so we just got home for our son, but we definitely will try this restaurant soon. Also very affordable for the amount of food you get, portions were huge.
google avatar

Kareen-Grace T.

Yelp
Used the drive-thru to order food. I didn't realize the menu was completely different from the dine-in, but it made sense. I ordered an avocado turkey grilled sandwich with fries and a chicken pasta dish called "camera." Both were delicious and satisfying. I thoroughly enjoyed the camera dish. The rigatoni was perfectly al dente. The sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, and caramelized onions all worked together, making the dish addictive.
google avatar

Yelp
This is not fancy food but it's comfort food done so well. The marinara sauce is tangy and delicious, garlic bread hits like it should and portions are generous enough you will have leftovers. The staff is friendly and helpful, we arrived ~45 minutes before closing and while we kept ourselves moving we were never rushed by staff. My friends who have been lots say the quality is just as good for take away too. Great spot for casual family meal. I can't wait to head back to California so I can return!
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
Yummy, what else can I say? Easy to order on the website. Picked up the order and enjoyed the meal. I ordered the Turkey Bacon Avocado Panini. Amazing!!

Lisa B.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this little gem when my friend asked me to swing through the drive-thru for some food. But as soon as I saw how charming it looked from the outside, I decided to go inside instead--and I'm so glad I did! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The place just had that perfect welcoming vibe. My friend ordered the chicken parm sandwich (not pictured), and she raved about how amazing it was! It comes with a side, and the portions were generous. I went with the meatballs and a side salad. The meatballs were hearty, packed with flavor, and smothered in a perfectly balanced tangy red sauce. The salad was fresh and crisp, loaded with toppings--definitely not just an afterthought! This spot is a fantastic find, and I'll absolutely be back to dine in. A bonus? They do have a drive-thru, which might make you think it's just another fast-food place--but trust me, it's so much more than that!

Yelp
Absolutely love this place for Italian . Amazing customer service by everyone!! All staff keeps checking in on you and everyone is literally always polite. This is truly fresh Italian for each plate. Very family friendly. Lots of parking. Amazing selection of dishes for everyone- kids and adults.
google avatar

Rob W.

Yelp
This place is such a hidden gem. Unfortunately, the neighborhood isn't that great, but it has been improving. Anyway, I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. Normally, I go for the roasted chicken or chicken piccata. As of late, I tried their pesto chicken panini. Holy cow is that sandwich great! Also, quite possibly the best grilled cheese I've ever had. And the tomato soup it comes with, top tier. For a favorite pasta dish, gotta go with the chipotle chicken pasta. Apart from the food, I've experienced nothing but the best customer service. All in all, I would say this place deserves your business and you should try it out.
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
10/10 loved tutto fresco! I wanted a basic chicken with veggies and potatoes and they didn't not disappoint. I ordered to go the girl on the register was very knowledgeable and kind, the order only took about 15 minutes considering how busy they were.. And the food was still hot once we got home. My order was a grilled chicken with potatoes & veggies and it still came with a side salad so I did a basic garden salad with balsamic dressing. My friend got the chicken Marsala with pasta & a ceaser salad. 10/10 will be back to try the rest of the menu!.
google avatar

Adri R.

Yelp
Chicken piccata paired with a Caesar salad is a classic combination that's hard to beat. It's always a pleasant surprise when a place exceeds our expectations, especially when it looks like a simple to-go spot but delivers on flavor.

Cynthia D.

Yelp
Counter girls are always so nice and sweet Great service Love the menu selection I order items that aren't listed on the take out but call in they make it ! Prices are fair The grandkids love the kids ravioli and the mozzarella sticks So yummy highly recommend
google avatar

Dennis L.

Yelp
The service is excellent. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The food was just average. The texture of our sandwiches were good. But the chicken in both our chicken panini and parmigiana sandwich were dry the flavor was decent. The starter bread is outstanding. The ambience is nice and the bathrooms are clean.

Kai M.

Yelp
Amazing customer service, first time here and they were so quick to help out and give us some menus. Friendly and amazing people working here, the food was great. We were bummed because the IHOP had us waiting and no one would approach us at our table to even get our drinks. This place immediately had us seated, gave us water and took our drinks. IHOP sucks. Absolutely would recommend this place!
google avatar

Dang P.

Yelp
Came to check out this place with a friend and was very pleasantly surprised. The ambiance here is super chill and casual. You order your food at the front counter, grab an empty table, and your food is brought out for you shortly afterwards. For our food, we chose the chicken marsala and the fettuccine alfredo. For the price that we paid, it was totally worth it. The food was delicious and filling. The entrees were also served with focaccia bread and a salad. Love it! Would even maybe tried the drive through one day.
google avatar

Alee A.

Yelp
Went in today, through drive through this time. Ordered ahead my all time fav (chicken chipotle) lunch special with a side of salad. Really hit the spot. Salad was fresh and the pasta delicious as always. Love it

Lindsay A.

Yelp
All Food is amazing!! Delicious pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads, soups! This list can go on and on!! And the bread they give with balsamic sauce! I could drink it!! This place is great!!

Eileen C.

Yelp
Smells amazing and the cheese was BUBBLIN' when it came to the table. SAURRRRRR GOOD!

Lucero M.

Yelp
My kid loves Tutto Fresco. Especially the side bread and they are always really nice about giving us a bit extra when asking for more. Service great! Ambiance perfect! I will keep coming here many many times if the 10/10 treatment continues
google avatar

Vivian P.

Yelp
I was craving chicken piccata and pasta. I was not disappointed. It was delicious and the chicken was so tender. The bread is so good also. My first time at Tutto Fresco. Service was friendly. I will be going back to try other dishes.
google avatar

J. R.

Yelp
This is a go to for lunch and a togo for dinners for me. The use to have a fabulous vegan meatball which broke my heart to see it go. But they have so many Veggie options and the people that work here are a well oiled machine! They improve the dining experience and are always and i mean always happy to serve you. I enjoy the patio on a nice day but the booths offer nice privacy for a work lunch. Try not to fill up on bread so you can enjoy the meal.
google avatar

Yelp
When I first time I saw Tutto Fresco, the main thing I noticed was that it was an Italian restaurant with a drive-thru. What kind of Italian restaurant has a drive-thru? After church one night, my young son was craving Italian food. We only went there because it was the closest open Italian restaurant. Fast forward a few years and Tutto Fresco is now my favorite restaurant. The entrees, the pasta, the salads...everything I've had on the menu is terrific. Even their soda fountain is great. My go-to order is the baby lamb chops with spaghetti squash instead of potatoes, but the Chicken Marsala. Chicken Parmagiana, Chicken Picata, Roasted Chicken, all of the Raviolis, the Truffle Shrimp, the Pescatore, the Calamari, and the salads are outstanding as well. Their dining room crew has been there as long as we've been going and is as good as it gets. They start you out with soft, hot bread with a plate of olive oil and vinegar to dip in. The order taking staff (you walk up and order at a group of cash registers) and the amazing kitchen staff (they have so many different entrees to prepare) are unfailingly good as well. The only thing that historically wasn't great was the older restrooms, but they completely remodeled them, and now the restrooms are five star as well. There are a lot of great choices right near Tutto Fresco now (Cane's, In-N-Out, Chick-Fil-A, Rubio's...), but Tutto Fresco is the best of the bunch.

Yelp
My first time trying the chocolate cake it came with vanilla ice cream and a strawberry sauce/jelly it was really good and moist highly recommend!
google avatar

Tiffany N.

Yelp
My brother ordered food to go from this restaurant as we wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving early with Italian food. We ordered chicken alfredo pastsa, lasagna, and received bread with multiple to-go olive oil and balsemic vinegar mixes. The proportions were just right. The chicken alfredo pasta can be very filling within just a couple bites. The to-go containers are a nice, sturdy plastic and I was able to microwave my food (with the lid off) at work the next day. When looking at the menu for the prices, I'd say they are moderately priced. The food is very delicious and worth it. I would definitely consider dining in next time to have the full presentation of the meals served.
google avatar

Lauren N.

Yelp
The food and service were great! To start, fresh complementary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar was provided. We had the calamari, chicken parmigiana, and pesto chicken panini. Everything was cooked perfectly! The calamari was fresh and tender, fried to perfection. The chicken parmigiana was very tasty with the side of spaghetti. The panini was also very, very good! Both entrees came with a Caesar salad which was also very good. We will definitely be back to dine here again!
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Went to meet up her with friends from out of town. Such great .food & Service everything was delish! Dine in or drive through. Good stuff!!
google avatar

William C.

Yelp
This place has the best panini sandwiches and salad and garlic bread. They are all so delicious and fresh. I love coming here. I probably come here once every 2 weeks or so due that I am in the areas so often especially on the weekends. The food tastes great the day after when you warm it up. The turkey bacon panini is my go to. Get the fries and the ranch as well. Good to go!
google avatar

Dana F.

Yelp
Drive through spent a lot for meals the Labor Day weekend here Spinach ravioli was kids portion for the price Panini sandwich didn't have a few things I spent extra to add on the sandwich .. I will give you though another chance someday

Jesse P.

Yelp
I don't understand what happened to this place. This is the third time in 6 months that they royally screw up my order! With inflation being where it's at, you would think that with the new 20/hr minimum they would be able to higher competent people. How hard is it to train them to open each box before bagging it and read back the order as you hand it to the customer? I guess it's partly my fault for not pulling over to the side and inspect my order. SMH. In a nutshell after paying 50 bucks, I get home to an order of mozzarella sticks and a sandwich? Really? Not to mention it was 9:30pm so there's no way of going back, what a joke. I can't make this stuff up!!

Christina W.

Yelp
Even with milk and wheat allergies I had an incredible meal here . We love this restaurant and thank you for providing gluten free options!

Sarah B.

Yelp
Tutto Fresco is the best! I love the concept of a drive-thru where you can grab delicious, freshly made pasta on the go. It's so convenient, and they never skimp on portions. Plus, they always give you an abundance of their incredible bread (and it's some of the best bread you'll ever have)! The Cardinale and Fontaine dishes are my absolute favorites - I highly recommend both. Tutto Fresco is also a delicious and affordable option if you need some catering! There are many options here and the great service is also a plus. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Christine S.

Yelp
I love this restaurant so much! Drive-thru Italian is such a need, haha! The warm bread and dipping oil/balsamic every time is fabulous. I always get the goat cheese prosciutto salad with added chicken and it's enough for two people, very satisfying with a good value. I've had multiple pastas and love them all. Love the carrot cake dessert. Unfortunately, their gluten-free menu is not truly gluten-free as they boil the pasta in the same water and cross-contamination takes place. I'm not gluten-free, but it does limit the people I can bring here since some of the closest people in my life absolutely cannot have any gluten. My family has hired them for catering and they got the order right for 30 people. My entire family loved it. Whether you drive-through, eat inside, or take it to go--I recommend this spot! I've never had a bad experience and it's highly craveable.
