Fantastic flavors and presentations at Twelvemonth! We went for a family dinner on a Friday night and the place was hopping. Every dish was really quite tasty, especially the tamales. Good cocktail and mocktail menu, and good selection of wines and beers. The space is beautiful too, with high ceilings, lots of space, and a gorgeous outside area with tons of seating. The entire menu is plant-based and vegan, which made the vegans amongst us ecstatic of course. But then the omnivores were happy too because it's just really tasty food! Can't wait to try the prix fix tasting menu, but one of us didn't want it, and it requires full table participation. Next time then.

What a treat! This restaurant is truly impressive. If you're vegan or not, it's just a delightful experience. The Chef crafted the menu so cleverly that you don't even realize it's vegan. Great drink and cocktail menu, impressive interior and delicious food.

Met a friend here for lunch. Vegan restaurant with a good number of options. We forgot to take food pictures, but the presentation of both our our dishes and drinks were nice. I ordered the Korean fried “chicken” sandwich - definitely recommend. She ordered the Twelvemonth salad - recommended. I can’t remember the name of our cocktails, but they were delicious flavors and well presented. The building is decorated with a cute touch and gave a really comfy and happy, relaxing vibe. Service was great, with the balance of attentive, but not overbearing.

Might be new favorite restaurant of all time. Everything we got was incredible, perfectly seasoned and cooked. I couldn’t even pick a favorite. I can’t wait to come back! The atmosphere might have even surpassed the food.

Bar and main dining are Gatsby inspired and gorgeous. The mushroom starter was the best plate we ordered. Crispy well seasoned trumpet mushrooms. The beet salad was decent but not any different than what we have all already tasted. Disappointed in the corn gnudi. Because they used masa, they were not fluffy pillows, which is what I expect of gnudi. They were dry and heavy. They arrived in a corn sauce that saved the dish. Overall a great experience, I’m very picky when it comes to vegan. I’m spoiled by ABCv in NYC and PLANTA in Miami. Big shoes to fill.

I had never been to a vegan restaurant before but was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was at this restaurant. They are very creative in making vegan dishes flavorful, delicious, and healthy. I was very impressed! The drinks and desserts were very good as well. Staff were all friendly and courteous. The women’s and men’s bathrooms, which are tastefully decorated, shared the sinks and surprised some people when they walked in thinking they went to the wrong bathroom. I would definitely want to return and bring my family who are not vegans for this unique experience.

So my daughter, hubby and I didn’t feel too good after eating here! My man had gas, daughter was nauseous and I became bloated. I give it a 4 because food was okay, different tasting, clean and creative! The service was excellent from the hostess to the bakery and the waiter! Even other employees were so attentive and helpful! I enjoyed it so much and the atmosphere is amazing! It could have been something we ate before but I did have a meeting at this location which I did not attend but I would come back eventually for the bakery and salad! The salad was so good! Btw healthy food will and can upset the stomach so don’t blame the restaurant. It takes a bit for the gut to clean through. I hope my review doesn’t give you a negative vibe I’m just being honest for us people that love meat/dairy but know we should stop. Take baby steps because it’s a huge change! Thank you to everyone who works at the place for being awesome!

I came here for dinner and drinks with friends. Their food is more vegetarian and vegan when they first opened. I think they change their menu now to add more options from time to time. It has a nice vibe for group and family gatherings. The food was fresh and flavorful. They are located in downtown Burlingame so it’s great location for hanging out and walking around. They have a large outdoor patio, enclosed restaurant and a separate area for the bar if you want to come for drinks. I did this another time on a separate visit with my husband on a date night to come for a night cap. They have interesting collection of cocktails and mocktails. It was a comfortable atmosphere with its own unique pieces of furniture and alchemy science type vials at the bar if you look up at the alcohol bottles while sitting at the bar.

Yelp
Id say I was pretty surprised with this one. I've avoided it for the lo gest time but caved in because I heard they had great cocktails. We made reservations just in case. And this place was massive!! I remember the old brewery was here. Good times. I really like what they did with the place. There's great aethetic with what they had to work with. Maybe when the weather gets warmer, we can try the outside. Service was a bit slow in the beginning, but once we got the orders in, they came flying out. Great attentive service from all staff members. My favorite for the night was definitely the mushrooms. I could eat that alllll day. I enjoyed trying new cocktails. And given the limited time we had, I stuck with 2. The bar looks like it has a different vibe so maybe it's worth checking out. Long story short, you won't miss a thing knowing it's a non meat restaurant. Delicious curated dishes for everyone to enjoy. Cheers!

Yelp
I've been here multiple times - mostly the bar and only once in the main dining room. But having just been back and only having the bar happy hour menu, I'm remembering why my bf and I don't come here more often. The menu is extremely small for the happy hour which is between lunch and dinner service. It changes seasonally which can be good so you have a variety but from our experience only the bah mi and crispy maitake mushrooms was worth the price. This time I tried the Korean fried chicken patty and honestly was very let down for ~$19 considering it was just the sandwich (and it was a brand name patty) with no fries/etc. being vegan you learn to cook and when you go out your expectation especially at a vegan restaurant is to have different from what you can make at home. The drinks were good - flavorful and unique. What really was disappointing and stood out this time was the service. We sat at the bar and multiple servers walked past without acknowledging us for much longer than should happen when it is mid afternoon and slow. Once we did get going on drinks and food order it did come out quickly which was nice but the attitude from the bar worker was so unfriendly and uninterested. They didn't seem like they wanted to be there. We left hungry and disappointed as it is a gorgeous restaurant that has a lot of potential. Maybe it's just the bar at happy hour that sucks but for a mid/higher end vegan restaurant that has a huge bar space you'd expect a lot more from them. I recall the main dining space having great food and options (albeit the service was slow but we came when they had first opened). But the bar seems to be such a disappointment. Not sure I can convince my bf to go back there since we drive from quite a ways to go there.

Yelp
On the good side, the ambience and space is beautiful. The cocktails and mocktails are great as well. And the wait staff is very friendly, and good with recommendations. And we got a complimentary dessert since we were celebrating a birthday. On the flip side, the service was very very slow. We ordered 4 items to share - we got 2 items relatively quickly, but it was literally more than 30 mins after the first 2 items that we got the rest of the dishes. Drinks also took a lot of time to arrive (the last time we were here I had canceled my second drink since it hadn't arrived by the time we finished our meal). The food itself was a mixed bag - the Tagliatelle was solid, and Red Kuri Gnocchi was interesting with the laksa broth. We found the Radish cake too chewy, and the Not Paella rice a bit overcooked.

Yelp
I visited Twelvemonth after stumbling across it while searching for a cafe to go to. Their bakery is separate from the restaurant, with its entrance on California Dr. The shop itself is quite small, with only about four seats, but the ambiance was charming and had a great atmosphere. Service was also quick. I was particularly excited to visit because of the unique croissant flavors, and I decided to try the earl grey and grapefruit croissant. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The pastry lacked the flakiness I look for in a good croissant and was a bit dense. Flavor wise, the grapefruit overpowered the earl grey, which was disappointing. I had high hopes for this one, so I was pretty bummed that it missed the mark.

Yelp
This is a perfect place when the sun is shining, and even when there's a touch of wind, to come and sit in the outside lounge...order a cocktail and some of their wonderful vegan appetizers! My favorites are the maitake mushrooms and the vegan delicious lumpia! Dogs are welcome on the beautiful patio with heaters and a fire pit. Erin served me a refreshing Juggernaut Chardonnay from Sonoma County and Agustina made sure when we got a touch of coolness that the heating lamps were lit and my friend's pup got a fresh bowl of water. If you haven't dined at luxurious, healthy and friendly Twelvemonth, you must! At LEAST once a Month!

Yelp
TwelfthMonth in Burlingame is a gem for anyone who loves thoughtfully crafted plant-based cuisine. The moment you walk in, you're welcomed by a charming space with gorgeous green interiors--lush plants, warm lighting, and an effortlessly chic aesthetic that makes it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal or a cozy date night. The service is quick, attentive and pleasant. But the real standout is the food. The crisy fried mushrooms were such a delight. You couldn't tell they were mushrooms, and the dip just took the fried goodness to another level. My friends got the eggplant parm and the crispy fried ''chicken''. They polished their plates! The tater tots were yum. I got the radiatori in red sauce with a dollop of ricotta and pesto. The red sauce had a little spice kick which was perfect. However the standout for me was the ricotta. The texture and flavors were so good, I didn't miss the dairy version! Whether you're vegan or not, TwelfthMonth proves that plant-based dining can be indulgent, creative, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Found this bakery/ coffee shop while searching on bakeries. It is on California street and it is connected to the restaurant but this one has different entry. It serve various pastries and coffee. They use Verve coffee. Itvis small shop with only 2 table for max of four seat. We order latte, mocha, almond croissant and lemon donut. The latte is average. The donut and almond croissant are yummy. The service is pretty quick There is not parking directly in front of the shop. You can park at the parking load. Looks like there is no restroom

Yelp
Twelvemonth is the kind of spot that makes you feel like you've stepped into something a little more elevated, yet still comfortable enough to relax and enjoy the experience. It's an upscale, all-vegan restaurant that's a true treat for both your taste buds and your aesthetic senses. From the moment you walk in, you're hit with a cozy, yet modern atmosphere--think soft lighting, chic décor, and a welcoming vibe that feels both refined and laid-back. Now, let's talk food. It's clear that everything here is crafted with care and intention. We started with the **croquettes**, which were crispy on the outside with a perfectly creamy inside--so satisfying. The **radiatori pasta** was a highlight too, with a bold, herby sauce that packed a punch, even if the portion was a bit on the smaller side (more of a "fine dining" size than a comfort-food portion). The **Japanese curry** was perfectly balanced, rich and hearty, yet not overwhelming, and I'd totally recommend it if you're craving something warming and savory. Finally, the **paella** was beautifully presented and tasted every bit as good as it looked--saffrony, savory, and a delight for anyone who loves a well-seasoned, flavorful dish. Service was top-notch--attentive but not overbearing, and the staff was genuinely knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience even more enjoyable. As for the prices... yeah, they are on the higher side. For what you're getting, it's definitely a splurge, especially with the small portions, but the quality is undeniably high. It's not a place you'd go for a casual bite if you're watching your budget, but it's perfect for a special occasion or when you're in the mood to treat yourself to something deliciously different. Overall, Twelvemonth is a must-visit for anyone looking for a vegan dining experience that goes beyond the usual. The combination of flavor, atmosphere, and service is top-tier, and if you're into refined plant-based cuisine, you'll definitely leave satisfied (even if maybe just a little hungry for more). Would I come back? Absolutely, but maybe next time, I'll just bring a bigger appetite.

Yelp
Upscale ambience, the interior is a mixture of green plants and dim lights, creating a perfect cozy yet elevated atmosphere for dinner with conversations. Food menu here seems to rotate seasonally. Prices are on the higher side with the food portion being on the smaller side. Flavors here always have more complexity and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. Service was great and they all seemed to be very familiar with each dish and the details, as well as giving recommendations

Yelp
Came by for dinner the other night and it was a tasty experience. Twelvemonth seems to have taken over a brewery and has been meticiously remodelled into a grandiose bar, gigantic patio dining, along with a huge dining room. Parking was available on the street or in city owned lots nearby. The bathrooms were behind the bar that separate into a washing area before being segregated into a gender specific stall and then a urinal/stall. Our waitress Kai was super chipper...and very enthusiastic.... Started off with the crispy maitake mushrooms and they were decent. The were fried with a relatively thick batter and served with a ranch-like sauce. The croquettes were decent with a crispy outside and soft and warm inside. Moved on to the twelvemonth salad which was light and refreshing. Adding the falafel added some protein. The not paella was unique in the sense that there were numerous vegetables served on an iron skillet topped with some crispy rice. The radish cake was unique and was more beany than a traditional Chinese radish cake. The tagliatelle pasta was excellent with super fresh pasta and fragrant cheese. The potted pudding was unique too.

Yelp
So many fining options! Private meal, group meal, outdoor seating, bar seating, group event, and great vegan options! Loved the food and great service.

Yelp
My sisters, mom and I were looking for a cute lunch spot to go to, and we came across Twelvemonth as an option. We don't usually visit vegan restaurants, so we decided to give it a shot! - PARKING - There are several parking lots around the area, just be sure to check payment requirements and time limits! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - We actually entered through their bar first, and then were rerouted to the entrance to the restaurant. There's an outdoor patio area and indoor seating area. I loved the jewel-toned decor and interior design, everything felt so elevated! Service was prompt and accommodating, especially with my baby nephew. - FOOD - Maitake Mushrooms: Probably my favorite thing from the meal! Perfectly fried, and not too oily! Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich: There have been times when I ate a vegan meal and couldn't tell it was fake protein - this sandwich, however, I could tell. Still it was a delicious sandwich with fresh ingredients and great flavor combinations! - OVERALL - The ambiance here is amazing, and service is great. I did enjoy the food, but the portion sizes were a bit smaller than anticipated compared to the prices.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this restaurant because I've gone to some vegan restaurants and enjoyed them. Sadly, the food fell short of the mark. Beautiful interior, absolutely wonderful service. We made a reservation for 5 and were greeted and seated promptly. They walked us through the menu and offered a chefs tasting menu. We decided to pick our own dishes. APPETIZER: MUSHROOMS, CEVICHE The mushrooms were super tasty with the sauce! But almost like, how can it not be, when you're eating fried food?! The ceviche was good as well. I enjoyed the citrus flavors; my friends thought it was overwhelmingly citrusy. MAIN: "NOT PAELLA" - a hint of citrus, good, but I would have liked the rice to be a bit more crispy. BBQ PLATE - did not like this one...flavors were strange. On the sweeter side and the balls were quite dry. GNOCCHI - good flavor, a bit of spice that gave it a nice kick SCIALATIELLI - also on the sweeter side, like sweet corn; was good on the initial bites but was a bit overwhelmingly sweet after more bites TAMALES - enjoyed the flavor and texture; just the right amount of saltiness and a mild sweetness from the sauce; tamale skin was also not super dry like some other places Unfortunately, many of the mains were a let-down :( I did like the Tamales and the Paella. In the end, I found the appetizers more enjoyable than the main dishes. Beautiful restaurant and the bar looked busy; maybe that's the way to go?

Yelp
We've been here twice for special occasions, a birthday and an anniversary. This dining room (and outdoor patio) is absolutely gorgeous and elegant. Service is excellent. Both times, we enjoyed the drinks, appetizers (especially the maitake mushrooms and panzanella), and desserts. The entrees are a different story. On my first visit, I got the turnip cake, which I didn't love. Husband got a pasta dish which he really enjoyed, so I thought maybe I'd ordered wrong. We returned over a year later. I got the new fall dish of a gluten free Red Kuri Gnocchi. My waitress highly recommended it and said she loved it. It had the texture of play-dough, extremely gummy and unpleasant. It had a pastiness to it, as though it wasn't fully cooked. There were Asian style flavors with some pockets that were overly salty. I ended up sending it back and sharing my feelings with another waiter, who said he's gotten that feedback before. He asked if I wanted something else, which I declined. Nothing else on the menu really appealed to me, so I said I'd skip straight to dessert. Again, the desserts were good, so at least we ended the meal on a high note. Then we received the bill and were shocked to see that they had not removed the gnocchi (but had comped the dessert). It was $32, which is a lot to pay for a dish that was sent back. I might go back to try the bakery (which oddly is never open when the actual restaurant is) but I likely won't return to the dining room for a very expensive and disappointing meal.

Yelp
Finally, I sat and ate at the restaurant. FOOD The food is fusion (western with Asian influence). The menu is not huge, which is a good thing since that means all the dishes are specialities and are made to perfection. The flavors were wonderful and unique. I tried the crispy mushrooms (recommended by staff) and Grilled Cabbage. The drinks were also pretty good. SERVICE The service was friendly and attentive. This brought my rating of Twelvemonth up a notch. AMBIENCE -Up-to-date and eye-pleasing decor. -Booths and tables -Indoor and outdoor seating. Private rooms are available. -Excellent bar scene -Good for families and large parties. -Can be a little nosy but still enjoy a private conversation. The only thing from bringing a *****, in my subjective opinion. BONUS Excellent bakery on the side. You have to enter the bakery from the side. Definitely visit. See my separate review of the bakery. For a date or family, it is an excellent choice. This is my rating system to help you gauge my rating. I feel it is a dis-service to over-inflate ratings. I don't want you to be disappointed with your experience. Ratings are based upon the kind of business and expectations. A business will be rated in consideration of its intended clients. A To-Go shop or hole-in-the-wall will be compared to similar businesses and rated thus. Anything under three stars is not worth mentioning. Meh. *** stars - Good overall. Some aspects are above the notch: food, service, and/or ambiance. Worth your time. **** Stars - Exceptional, short of perfect. ***** Stars - Perfect in all aspects. Food/Product Quality, Service, and Ambiance

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. I've been several times and eaten in the main dining room and at the bar. I was recently lucky enough to snag some Bakehouse treats (they sell out, so get there early!) and everything was delish. In general, the bread is a highlight. The spicy Korean "chicken" sandwich I had at the bar was a standout because of its house-baked bun. If they bake it in-house, you should buy it!

Rohit D.

Yelp
Great ambience. Awesome food and a wide range of drinks. Despite the crowd, the server was very attentive and prompt. Definitely a place to go and enjoy some time spent and have a great experience.

Melissa G.

Yelp
The good: the dinner menu at this spot is AMAZING. I had their prefix menu and EVERYTHING was delicious. Last Sunday they only had space at the bar so we decided to try their bar menu. The sliders and mushrooms were so good! The bad: their bar menu had this one item called Bagna Cauda and it was just offensive. Cold vegetables with toast and miso sauce. It's probably my own fault for ever ordering raw vegetables but I thought they would be amazing. NOPE. It was cold veggies with vinegar and then toast. The toast was bomb, but this dish needs to be removed from the menu STAT. It brings down all the other amazing items. The service is decent. Everyone is a little too serious for my taste. Like I just want some bomb vegan food, that's all. But honestly the good about this place is so good that I will be back. Please take out this bagna cauda nonsense, maybe we need to get a petition signed.

Yelp
Food was great but overall, the restaurant lacked in service. We went for a friend's birthday and there was six of us. We all shared everything family style and let our waitress know before ordering and she was very kind. Usually at nice restaurants they are extremely accommodating on adding more pieces to appetizers to make sure everyone at the table gets a piece but this restaurant wasn't so we would have to order 2-3 plates. We actually don't even mind paying but it's a little silly to order a whole other plate for one piece. That was the first red flag because almost every other restaurant accommodates to this. Another issue we had was our waitress wasn't totally present the whole time, it took us a while to flag her down. We all ordered mocktails and I had one that was so disappointing and gross, none of us could finish it. I kindly explained to our waitress and asked if I can order something else and she immediately took the drink away so I assumed I wasn't going to be charged but I was, not the end of the world but for a nice restaurant they shouldn't have charged for that if they took the drink away. I didn't make a fuss, just paid and left. Overall the food was incredible! But the portions were so small I'm not sure if I'd ever go back because the cost to experience wasn't great.

K C.

Yelp
This was my first experience with a 5-star type vegan restaurant. This place is really top notch. I was treated with great customer service and the food was exceptional. I plugged and tried the 7 course dinner and was it completely amazing. Every dish was beautiful and tasty. From the appetizer to the dessert.

Yelp
Disclaimer...I am a tried and true meat and potatoes, dairy loving type with a somewhat limited appreciation for vegetables. That said, LET'S TALK Plant -Based!!! Some vegetarian friends of ours raved about Twelvemonth and said that we absolutely had to try it. Well, getting me to go too far afield for any restaurant (let alone one that is plant-based) is tricky these days, but when my vegan brother and sister-in-law came to town I decided to give it a try. Not going to lie...I was kind of dreading it...especially after checking out the menu...I mean, Bean Stew? How good can that be? Well, it's my turn to eat crow because I could have bathed in the Fifth Crow Farm Old Indian Woman beans stew. The depth of flavor was incredible and left me wanting to order a second round. We also sampled the Roasted Beets and Bagna Cauda which were excellent, but it was the Crispy Maitake Mushrooms that did have us ordering seconds. They were perfectly seasoned and fried. The whipped ranch put them over the top. I had the Radiatori for my main course and it was superb. It was the perfect balance of acid from the red sauce, herbaceousness from the pesto and creaminess from the ricotta. Another standout was the Yucca Gnocchi which was absolutely mouthwatering. Two folks in our party ordered the Scialatielli...which sounded great as described, but fell short in the flavor department in my opinion. One of the folks said it was fantastic and that I just didn't have all of the flavor elements mixed together in my bite. Others in our party had the Radish Cake and Carrot Curry and raved about both. The desserts were also wonderful. We had the Malasadas and Oat Milk Soft Serve. Very yummy. The moral of this story is that I learned that plant based-food can be absolutely awesome! When vegetables are treated with creativity, care and respect the outcome can be delicious. Thank you Twelvemonth for enlightening me. Aside from the restaurant being absolutely beautiful with different bar and dining spaces both inside and outdoors, I would be remiss if I did not mention the wonderful staff. From the hostesses, to the bartenders, waiters and bus staff every person who we interacted with was friendly, kind, accommodating and helpful. It was such a pleasure to interact with each one of them. I would go out of my way to go back to Twelvemonth, not just for a great plant-based meal, but for a great meal period!

Haiyang H.

Yelp
We dropped by here for a drink one night and the bar tender was awesome and it looked good inside. So we came back for dinner over a Friday evening. We ordered wine and food. Everything was delicious and the service was great: - our bar tender last time gave us some sampled Riesling. We came back and started a bottle. Loved it too much and we ended it up finishing two bottles. It was economical, crisp and fresh. A bit touch of sweet. Wonderful - roasted beets - it was light and refreshing. Sweet beets came through. Loved it - fried mushroom- love it! Sauce was great and mushroom was perfectly fried with the right texture. - some pasta dish. It was a bit spicy. I am not a big pasta fan. We have some leftover to go - radish cake - my absolute favorite. Great texture and flavor combination. Definitely a must try. - carrot curry - it was more of a Thai curry. Pretty tasty All food was nicely plated. Service was wonderful throughout! We didn't mind that there was no meat/seafood. Loved it! Interior was wonderful. Feeling 'alive' yet polished? They also drew a nice crowd over too. Nice place with nice people. We would like to come back.

Ryan L.

Yelp
Service was great and atmosphere was great. We had multiple people attending to us throughout the meal and they were all incredibly nice. The rest of the experience, including food and drink, was not so great unfortunately. Ordered the fig cocktail, but they were out of it so I had the Cactus instead. This tasted really good, was small for the price, and had a white table salt rim instead of the advertised black lava salt - guess they were out of that too. Not a big deal, but I was kind of disappointed. After this, I ordered the Temporanillo wine by the glass and they were out of that too! Very strange to be out of so many things on a relatively small drink menu on a Tuesday. We started with the mushroom appetizer and it was great! Amazing flavor, texture, and sauce. Easily the best thing we ordered. For main I had the Radiatori and it was fine - I wish the red sauce had a bit more flavor or kick, but I enjoyed it overall. My party had the gnocchi and complained that it was crumbly on the inside like someone forgot to add water to the pasta dough and waaay too sweet, really not edible unfortunately. We also had the not-paella which I tried (good) and the curry which my party said was fine. Honestly judging by the other reviews, maybe we just came at an off-night. Some things were tasty, but most was just OK at best. They also have 20% as the lowest tip option on the machine which is a pet peeve. Overall things were just fine, but did not match what they're pricing and many minor things (and one major thing) that just left me scratching my head at the end of the night.

Sachi U.

Yelp
Got a cinnamon bun from here. Not much quantity left at noon time, so they offered us to buy something from the display case. While there was a fly buzzing around in said case, landing on the pastries. Service was also not personable, and no adequate seating indoors.

Deeps S.

Yelp
Been wanting to check this spot out for a while. The restaurant is stunning - high ceilings and plenty of seating. This is an all vegan restaurant and they also have a bakehouse. We ordered the eggplant dip and the beets for appetizers - the eggplant dip was a letdown - was very average, the beets were very flavorful. For mains we ordered the following: - Radiatori - straight forward arabiatta sauce, nothing special - Hot Chicken sandwich - this was so flavorful, definitely a must get - Bahn Mi - standard, tofu was cut too finely Overall, the food was underwhelming but the ambiance is wonderful - would come back for drinks Would give a 3/5 for food, 5/5 for ambience- rounding up to 4

Anandita S.

Yelp
This place is beautiful with the most friendly staff. Became here for lunch last week to celebrate my husband and the customer service above and beyond. They were super friendly, explaining the menu and listening to us. Which is very rare most people just take your order and leave. The food was definitely fresh and delicious . We were able to try vegan meat items which we did not feel like they had any cross-contamination of meat. if you like vegan or vegetarian options, this is definitely your place to be

Steve V.

Yelp
We met some friends here for dinner and I was skeptical about the meatless concept, but it was a great meal! There is street parking and a free lot across the street, but it was pretty full on a Tuesday night when I was there. The restaurant has two parts, with a bar area to the left and has a Restoration Hardware vibe. There is also outdoor seating that looked awesome of a good weathered night. We sat in the back right corner at a round table that was way too big for us. We started with the mushrooms and the eggplant miso dip. Both were amazing and the sourdough that came with the dip was the perfect accompaniment. I tried a couple of the pastas and they were tasty. The sauce on the orrichiette was a bit rich. There was a bug in one of the green pieces and they kindly replaced the dish quickly, but did not comp anything. Otherwise, the service was great!

Yelp
Plant based dining. Located in the downtown area. Public lot or street parking. Really nice heated outdoor patio. Indoor dining is nice as well. Great customer service. Food is tasty. Parking can be challenging on a busy night.

Yelp
For my birthday this year, I got to try this wonderful higher end dining experience designed for the plant based eater in mind. It took me way more than twelve months into my vegan journey to get here but better late than never! The chic decor with both indoor and outdoor seating puts this spot on the map. Their fully plant based menu is exciting to see and I was excited to try some of their offerings. Started with their Fried Maitake Mushrooms and the House Bread. The former were the clear standouts: crispy mushroom chips with a fantastic dipping sauce. The bread was good but didn't blow me away as I had hoped. For our mains, we indulged in their Radish Cakes and Italian Dumplings. I enjoyed both of the dishes and their presentations but would definitely go back for the latter. The dumplings were simply divine and topped with edamame and a house cream added to its perfection. My only suggestion would be for them to incorporate some more high protein options into the mix. The use of legumes, tempeh, seitan, etc could really up more of their dishes without losing its culinary integrity. Plus it would get people to eat their "where do vegans get their protein" tongues lol. Thanks Twelve Month for a great experience!

Yelp
Delicious food in a beautiful atmosphere! We had the tasting menu with wine pairings. Every detail of the food and drinks was fascinating and meticulously well thought-out. The tagliatelle was our favorite (paired with a peppery Chardonnay), but none of the courses disappointed. We'll definitely be back to Twelvemonth, and I think we'll start eating upscale vegan food more often, in general.

Yelp
Really love the way this restaurant looks and love that it's vegan. I have been there at least two dozen times and also have tried almost everything at their bakery. The restaurant food is mostly miss, and a bit unhealthy, given a lot of dishes are fried, carb heavy, or have fake cheese. I would like to see cooked vegetables take center stage in at least a few dishes, like the ones at the old Millennium restaurant in SF. The pasta dishes are disappointingly just pasta and sauce, with no other ingredients. Feels a bit like the chefs can't make a real dish on the spot and need to depend on already-made sauces to put a dish together. I think the restaurant food has lots of room for improvement, but again I appreciate there is a vegan option in the neighborhood. The bakery items are fair to good, could be less sweet, and sometimes weird-tasting to me. They try to be creative, and that's mostly good, but some flavors don't mix well. I would stick to more traditional items. I would like to see the chocolate chips be real vegan chips, so that my kid with dairy allergy can eat the chocolate chip cookies. I also hope in the future I can buy birthday or special occasion cakes at the bakery, as those are the best kind of cakes to get for a party with people of various dietary concerns (good vegan cakes are hard to find). Overall, I appreciate having a vegan bakery in the neighborhood and I'd go here instead of the other bakery on the same block. The best part about Twelvemonth is the bar area and the outdoor area. They are great gathering spots for drinks and all sorts of functions. I appreciate they open (relatively) late for impromptu drinks. I also like that they have great non-alcoholic options.

Yelp
Made a reservation for a celebration dinner and were seated promptly, the inside of the restaurant is beautiful! Our server was attentive and came to check on us often. We started with a few drinks and they were all delicious and unique. We got three appetizers and two entrees to share between the three of us: Ceviche: 4.5/5 - wasn't quite sure what to expect as it was a new menu item but this was great! The mushrooms had a nice texture and the dish really resembled ceviche in flavor Fried green strawberries: 3.5/5 - the strawberries were more sour than expected, I think it would have paired better with a sauce that has some sweetness to it to balance it out Crispy maitake mushrooms: 5/5 - my favorite dish of the night! The batter was crispy, I love that it was fried with pickles, and the sauce paired very well with it! Lentil cake: 3.5/5 - I liked the flavors of this dish, as well as the fried potato underneath, some elements of the dish didn't feel very cohesive though, and the béchamel had solidified by the time it reached our table which gave it a not-so-pleasant texture when we cut through it Scialetielli: 4.25/5 - was surprisingly sweet especially at the first bite, but I found myself enjoying it more as I kept eating it! The pasta was a bit too firm, but the corn added a nice brightness to the dish that made it feel like a summer dish! Overall, I enjoyed the flavors of the food and enjoyed seeing what could be done with vegan food. It's definitely on the pricier side and we left not feeling that full as there wasn't a lot of protein in the dishes, but I would come back especially to have more of their appetizers as their menu rotates!

Yelp
I visit this restaurant often and really enjoy the ambiance. The drinks, appetizers, and desserts are consistently excellent. We tried the radish cake this time--I preferred the original recipe from when they first opened, as the current version isn't my favorite. I also ordered the BBQ plate for the first time, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me either. That said, the service is always attentive and friendly.

Yelp
Date: Saturday, August 5th, 2023 Time: around 8:15pm Party of: 2 to start then about 6 more a little later *Rittenhouse Rye Manhattan ($15) *Monkey Shoulder ($12) x3 *Pear Pressure ($16) *Cola ($4) The hubby and I were meeting some friends up. We arrived early, so we decided to grab a drink at the bar. It wasn't very busy, so we easily found two seats. After ordering, I went to inquire about getting a table outside since we had more people joining us. They said they'd come and get us once a table opened up. Apparently, we were next on the list. I think I checked in once, but we were never contacted. I made sure to tell them I was at the bar and where. We ended up giving up and just staying inside since there was plenty of room. I can't remember if we had more than one bill going, but the above was on ours. I started out with the manhattan. It was nicely balanced. Switched to straight scotch afterwards as I wanted something a little boozier. I can't recall how the pear pressure tasted, but I remember liking my cocktail here. Service was great. The bartender was nice and friendly. Good place for a drink stop. The inside bar has a nice vibe and the outdoor patio is cozy with firepits. Definitely my kind of ambiance. But next time, I will get that table outside!

Yelp
I loved dining here. First, the environment felt very elevated and upscale. I loved the furniture choices and lighting. My friend and I mentioned how the sound proof the dining area was in comparison to the bar. It makes sense! Usually bars you want to feel bustling and busy, versus dining you want to actually have a conversation. I am fish forward so looking at a menu and realizing everything is curated for my diet feels amazing. I wish all restaurants had such robust veggie-only meals. I got the carrot curry and it was quite filling! As a table we ordered the fried mushrooms and fried strawberries. I liked the fried mushrooms texture more than the strawberries but both were tasty. For my drink I ordered a mocktail, I forget the name but it was giving ~strawberries~ which was a 10/10 for me !! Highly recommend if you want something different and high quality! Thank you!

Yelp
This was such a special place! The exterior seating was nicely laid out, the interior of the restaurant had a tree in it! And the bar area had wonderful semi-private seating. Service was excellent at lunch time and I cannot more highly recommend the spaghetti with confit artichoke, parsley, mint, artichoke chips, and Meyer lemon. I can honestly say this was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had.

Yelp
Had a wonderful lunch there and then Immediately followed with dinner the next day. It is that good!! We have walked past this busy place multiple times but never had the urge to join the noisy crowd, nor the non meat eater crowd. But a friend really want to go there so we 5 girls ended up eating lunch there. The dishes were all tasty and beautifully presented. Vegan wasn't even in the picture as we ordered the signature burger, Korean bbq chicken etc etc. Of course these are all plant based ingredients but they tasted better than their meat counterparts. Food were so good that I came back with more meat eating friends the next night. From salads to desserts, we tried out different selections. And for sure, we are coming back real soon to have more of the same or venture to other dishes. All thumbs up. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Love the high barrel ceiling.

Yelp
First time at Twelvemonth vegetarian restaurant, and it didn't disappoint! Great location in Burlingame. The weather was hot and beautiful, so we opted to sit outside with our sweet pup. However, when I checked inside, I saw that the interior was open with high ceilings--so nice! While waiting for our table, we sat in the bar area, where they served appetizers. Just a heads-up: the bar menu is different, and you can't order from it once you move to the dining area. Our server recommended the crispy maitake mushrooms and Lumpia Shanghai, and both were absolutely delicious!

Yelp
Not a vegan food hater, but this place was a bit too pretentious with average service and dishes that were hit or miss. Definitely not worth the hype or the money. Had the omakase - a $75 per person tour through their best dishes and felt like overall it was hit or miss. Couple of snacks the beginning were just OK including a weird pickle like thing on stale toast. Raviolis were gummy, too thick and cold and there seems to be a huge salad focus... The carrot curry was good - I think we were mostly excited because it was one of the first warm things we had eaten - but a bit heavy ultimately. The best thing we had was the falafel dish which the kitchen told us was a mistake. Rather than say "hey we got you this extra thing "they made us feel bad because they delivered it by mistake and we had started eating. This is all compounded by the fact that there was no welcome, no description of the menu and even the Omakase items weren't explained - just put a card down in front of us so we could read along for ourselves. It felt like the servers had barely any training, didn't know the menu, and the whole thing was just average as a result Had the pudding for dessert which was like Jell-O chocolate pudding. Unremarkable.

Yelp
Space: Loved the entry through the outdoor courtyard with the green house and bar space entry off to the side. Interiors is a really great looking space, inside and out. Lighting created a beautiful mood & so well appointed: Service & Food: there was likely garlic in one of the dishes although I was asked if any allergies-The only downside of our meal. Otherwise beautifully prepared vegan food and delicious and filling. Creative pairings.

Yelp
I've been here two times. The food is okay, nothing mind blowing, but good for being vegan. The ambiance is stunning and I would recommend going for that alone. Service was great, everyone that works there was very kind. Drinks are too alcohol forward in my opinion.

Yelp
Such a beautiful peaceful place in Burlingame. Indoor and outdoor is both spacious and beautiful. The food is so beautiful as well with many dishes having cute flowers! *CHILLED ASPARAGUS $10 - black sesame aioli seemed really interesting! But could be more nuttier. Still delicious and a refreshing app. *TWELVEMONTH SALAD $17 - Tasty, loved this one. Citrus dressing was strong. I loved this one. Half of us preferred the asparagus, half of us liked the salad, I was on team salad. SWEET POTATO GNOCCHI $30 - they're orange and purple from the sweet potatoes, this made the dish much more fun. It was chewy and good! NOT PAELLA $27 - yep, the name's kinda confusing, it's more like jeweled crispy rice! I liked the veggies underneath it. But I personally didn't like the hard crispy rice. My friends liked a lot though! ***RADISH CAKE $27 - We were a group of 4 girls and 4 dishes weren't enough I guess. Glad we ordered this one. This was our favorite. We're a group of asians and we've tried the OG radish cakes at dimsum places that are less than $10 for sure. So yeah it's a bit overpriced for the portion but I loved their take on it - it's not greasy but just chewy and healthy. I loooove tempeh and they made it a great accompaniment. well that definitely still left room for DESSERTS! SOFT SERVE AFFOGATO + Amaretto $25 - lol we kinda balled with this one. Soft solid was solid! If you like amaretto, you get a big amount of amaretto to take home I guess. MISO CARAMEL CAKE - Wow it's sweet and salty, maybe a tad too much. Definitely can taste the miso. Comes with dalgona sugar. So interesting to try!! Brownie - super cute with flowers. It came with some fruit jam which I'm thankful they put it on the side. We made reservations for a thursday dinner. But there were plenty of seats so didn't need to. Service was nice. Overall, a beautiful place to be on a beautiful day.

Yelp
This review is for the bar! I went out with one of my friends to this spot for some drinks and light apps. The ambiance is super aesthetic. It's in the old Steelhead Brewing space, so there's 2 entrances. The bar is in the back of the space, so if you enter via through the California Ave entrace, you'll want to walk all the way back to the bar. There was plenty of space, and the bartender got us our menus quickly. Drinks are delicious, and averagely priced for the area (think $16-20) They also serve bar bites. Keep in mind that they're a plant-based restaurant, so there isn't any meat. We got the apple hand pies, and tater tots to eat while we were eating. Both delicious! I would definitely go again for the bar, but i'd probably skip the actual dining experience since i'm not vegetarian/vegan (totally cool if that's your thing)!

Yelp
5 stars for ambiance and location. It's a bakery, bar, and restaurant. Food is decent, plant based. Service was ok. A bit on the pricey side.

Yelp
If you're in the bay area looking for a classy and modern vegan dining experience, this is the spot to go to! We actually went here for the first time for dinner and they have a special multi-course menu that they offer for dinner. However, this time around we came for lunch. For an appetizer, I definitely recommend getting the crispy maitake mushrooms - they are extra crispy and seasoned well, served with some sort of ranch dressing. We also got the korean "fried chicken" sandwich with tater tots on the side. The tindle patty was very tasty and there was just enough cabbage and gochujang glaze. The patty buns are house made and are amazingly fluffy and warm. Tater tots were nothing too special, I thought they were on the plainer side but they came with ketchup and the sandwich itself was delicious so I'm not complaining much. We also got the radiatori pasta which came with red sauce, ricotta, and pesto. Service is very efficient and you will never have to wait for a refill for water or to have an empty plate be taken. It's definitely a good spot to take your significant other for a special date night or your friends/family for a special occasion.

Yelp
I'm so happy there is a plant based option in the peninsula that is beautiful, with tasty food for everyone. It was a perfect place to have a nice lunch with some vegan family members. Huge appreciation for the designers of the restaurant, all the decor is beautiful and the layout is great, with a stunning bar area. Food is on the pricier side, especially for the portion, but everything was tasty. We were especially impressed with the flavor of the vegan lamb, and the pasta we delicious as well. The only feedback I could give is on the hostess service. We walked in right as they opened at 1130 on sat, and the hostess made a big deal about how she was really going out of her way to find us a table since we had no reservation. It made me a little uncomfortable, like we were seriously inconveniencing her, even though the restaurant never got more than half full while we were there.

Yelp
Last night's dinner at Twelvemonth was a disappointment. I was excited to introduce my companion to their plant-based fare. Seeing a post about the reintroduction of the radish cake to their menu was the perfect excuse, as I loved that dish during their soft opening and over the months that followed. Radish cake: Unfortunately the dish is not the same upon its return. The cakes were awful. There was no discernible radish in the cake, which was just an overly-chewy flavorless chunk (think mochi gone wrong). There best things about the dish were the pickled radishes dotting the top and the tempeh (which is a new addition to the dish). The sauce seemed toned down as well. No real heat. The radish cake stayed unfinished. Gnocchi: These were ok. Soft and pillowy, but the sauce bland. I lost interest after a few bites. Beets: A dish I've ordered before. Tasty, but my dining companion noted a lack of real zaatar flavor. The notes he picked up were sesame and nigella seed but not the other spices. Panna cotta: Textural failure. Thin, gummy, and flavorless layer under some citrus chunks and other bits. Sodas and cocktails: Most satisfying part of the meal. Rhubarb citrus soda was light and refreshing. Service: Descriptive but slow. We sat for quite awhile before our server came over for drink orders. Long pause between each course and when we were asked for our dessert order. I can say after numerous visits that I am no longer enthralled with Twelvemonth and don't plan to return anytime soon.

Yelp
Gorgeous ambiance, super attentive and friendly staff. There was minimal options for food and I got a chicken nugget that I paid (an added) $14 for as a top to my salad. Salad (Autumn chop) was dull with almost no flavor. Probably won't come back. Hungry and sad customer :(

Yelp
Planned a visit to twelvemonth with a friend on a Thursday night. See Julissa Js review. I made reservations through Open table and was able to select birthday as our birthdays had just passed by! We ordered the twelvemonth bread, beets, not paella paella and chochoyotes and two mocktails. Mas o menos and windfall were both tasty mocktails and started the night strong. The bread was fluffy (though vegan as is everything!) and the butter was perfectly salted for balance. Beets were so tasty and herby with a slight kick. The chochoyotes dish was tasty, wish I'd gotten a pic before they poured the sauce. No menu dessert for us this time but they did bring an icecream which tasted almost like soy icecream for our birthdays! I've included a picture of the kids menu and dessert menus and the decor in the bathroom. The whole place had a fun aesthetic, great for pictures, date nights or GNO! Very art deco and darker green tones. I'd be interested to try the outdoor patio when weather warms up with friends! **one thing I wish they'd done is ask us if we have any allergies as vegan substitutes often utilize other high allergen categories ex. Soy, nuts. Etc. **
