The Best Portland, Oregon Bar Patios | Eater Portland

"The back patio of this Nob Hill bar known for its karaoke is a haven year-round, lined with Japanese maples, ferns, and passionflowers among its various decks. With quieter nooks and more social standing bar areas, that patio works well for a wide range of events. Pets are welcome, as well." - Nathan Williams

I loved the drinks. The food was great! I wish prices were better or happy hour was longer. Overall the outside seating awesome. Service was awesome.

The ambiance here is great. I usually don’t frequent this area but parking was not that bad and it was very easy to find. It doesn’t look big from the outside… but it is very spacious once you’re inside. Also there is an outdoor patio that is wonderful and very spacious and peaceful. I would recommend this place if you enjoy Karaoke on Wednesday’s and just an all around chill place to hang at.

Google
A cool neighbor bar and karaoke 🎤 Even though we didn’t indulge in a good song or two, we were able to enjoy the happy hour and some bites. The atmosphere was light and easy on a Sunday afternoon and we were happy to see Taco Mondays. Definitely look forward to returning!

One Star – I Was Attacked by Security for No Reason I had a terrifying experience last night (July 11th) at SW 21st Karaoke Bar. Out of nowhere, a security guard physically attacked me without any provocation whatsoever. I was not causing trouble, I wasn’t drunk or being loud—I was simply trying to enjoy my night. This was completely uncalled for, and no one from management did anything to stop it or even offer help afterward. I left shocked, hurt, and honestly afraid for my safety. I’ve never experienced anything like this in a public venue, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. If you value your safety and well-being, avoid this place. I’m filing a formal complaint and taking further action, because this kind of behavior should never be tolerated in any business, let alone one where people go to relax and have fun.

Google
Erin, our waitress, was pretty rude the entire night for some unknown reason. We dropped quite a bit of cash and she stilled treated us like trash. Overall food and drinks were good though but service is what means the most in a restaurant like this and tonight's service missed the mark by a mile.

Google
Food was really good, drinks were good. However, KJ accepts bribes to let other singers go earlier. Huge bummer. But if you have a TON of cash to burn great place to sing multiple times. I don’t necessarily blame the KJ, he might just not make enough money. Not worth the time if you’re not wealthy and can only tip a normal amount. Watched the same person give him a $20 and then a $50 to go earlier, at that point, why not just rent a karaoke room for an hour and sing all the songs you want? Doesn’t make sense to me. But regardless, I won’t be back.

Google
Wanted to love the place. It has the most unique vending machine ever. Karoke sound was fine, however asked the bartender to call a cab for us cause we had a few....I know I live in the age of Uber and cell phones, however didnt want to deal with it...after drinking a couple more drinks and waiting outside for like 25 minutes thinking cab was on its way, went inside to use the bathroom, bartender says "oh by the way, the cab I called said it couldn't make it"...Thanks for letting me know and making sure a compromised customer got home safe...

Google
BEWARE KARAOKE KJ Jada!! On Sunday evenings . She seemed very un-educated about running sound in karaoke. The music was much louder than the singer. Asked to turn me up. She turned me down!! Skipped my turn. NOT letting me know. I should put a song in before my turn comes up.! She seemed rude and short with me. Very rude!! Some KJs just seem to be there to make the money. NOT. carrying to make the songs nor the singer sound spectacular!! This info is coming from a KJ. !! However the food was great! The atmosphere was quite cool! Lots of dance floor! Bartenders very pleasant! 😉

Yelp
Amazing amazing karaoke vibes! Make sure you sign up early on to sing, we had about a 2hr wait time between getting there and singing! The workers are all really kind and quick! Did not get food but the fish n chips did look yummy!

Yelp
We stopped in for a friends event tonight. This place has a great vibe. Very comfortable and welcoming. I ordered the chicken breast and battered fries. Holy shit! Best fries anywhere. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I am a dark meat guy but these were so moist and juicy I forgot they were breasts. Music, good vibe and fantastic food a trifecta of awesome. The back patio you will have to see for yourself. No spoilers here. Just super f'n awesome! Highly recommended to all.

Yelp
This was a fun place to sing and enjoy friends Helen is amazing and please please give her the best love when there! Food was yummy service was great! Only thing i can say that i was not a fan of was the DJ little rude ( could have been a bad night) but still... it's work we may not like it all the time but people are paying to be there you could be a little more kind. But other then that fun fun

Tyger L.

Yelp
Karaoke is poppin here, but what sets the vibe is the dope ass bouncer, Mutt. As a POC This bouncer made me feel so welcome. They expressed their efforts to create an inclusive environment and I witnessed firsthand as they handled rowdy frat kids and maintained a zero tolerance for their bullshit. This bouncer's welcoming nature alone made me want to come back to this bar. Straight up. Mad respect. Aside from that, affordable drinks, hype environment and accessible parking. Pull up, this is a worthy bar to support in PDX.

Yelp
Came here during happy hour and ordered sweet potato fries and started things off with the Strawberry Basil Tom Collins... that drink hit the spot on a searing hot day! The fries were tasty and served with ranch and ketchup, can never go wrong. Loved the Strawberry Basil so much that I got another one and then also got the SuperDog. Would definitely come back to Portland to visit this bar!

Matthew V.

Yelp
Do not come here after 10 if you hope to sing. Do not come here if you want to sing more than one song. This karaoke site socks hard. It's my least fav hangout. At least the food is good.

Yelp
Update...there's a $5 cover on Fridays & Saturdays that thins out the crowd quite a bit :( still fun

Mike J.

Yelp
I live next to this place and it's the worst possible neighbor. If you like drunk people screaming , throwing up, puking, peeing, smoking outside your window this is your bar. The security does nothing to regulate the outside area and it is always chaos. they break so many rules and everyone in the neighborhood hates them. Its also bad food and bad bartenders that over serve patrons.

Kelly S.

Yelp
The bar was fun(ish) but the hallway leading to the bathrooms and outside area smelled like straight B.O. The female bartender with the gauged ears said they didn't make AMFs so we asked for a different kind of mixed drink and she said no to that as well. We weren't sure why as we'd only had one drink the whole night. I asked her if she could make me something strong but sweet and she responded "No we don't do that and you asking me that makes me not want to serve you at all" Expensive drinks, cheap but good food, OK service. The food was really good. Sweet potato fries with ranch- super bomb. Highly recommend

Yelp
This is the best Karaoke spot in Portland. It's got a fun crowd with great drinks and food. Everything was also well priced. Helen the bartender is one of the best, and I'll definitely be coming back here.

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite bar in Portland! The atmosphere is always chill and wonderful, the staff is so talented and amazing, and the food is really good! Definitely recommend the loaded quesadillas with chicken! James is such a cool and knowledgeable bartender and Ryland is one of the best KJ's I have ever seen! They both really know there stuff and are two of the many reasons I keep coming back! This has been my regular spot for over eight months and I can't see that changing anytime soon.

Yelp
We really like this place. They've got tables in the front for you and your pup as well as a large seating are in the back where you can bring your pups to! I'd seated outside there's a "mini" beer back there for beers and some cocktails but no wine. Be careful, depending on the season it could be raining tree stuff all in your hair and drinks (not the best). This is what drops them to a 4 star. Not their fault but sucks none the less. You can even smoke in one section of the back. They don't have a lot of beers on tap but do offer Tecate which is my go-to when we're on a budget. Service here is always great. Gas that dive bar feel without that dive bar service. Food here is good. Their wings for wing week we're my second favorite out of the 7 I tried. Even came with a little dipping sauce which I never thought I'd consider a positive assuming they would all offer ranch, etc; but not the case. They have a fun vending machine that is worth the visit. The wife got me a got a sweet eye patch out of it! Oh yeah, GREAT happy hour. Think it's your typical 3-6p but I think it's at least daily!

Yelp
place is dirty and gross. trash on sidewalk and dirty entryway. food was 1 star and drinks were overpriced and watered down. skip this one.

Yelp
NEVER been treated so poorly by such PATHETIC staff. I specifically went out of my way to verify what time they do last call and what time they clear out, because I wanted to be considerate and polite. The bouncer had previously told me they close at 2am, despite the bar's online description saying 2:30am. The bartender assured me that they didn't close until 2:30am and let me order a last drink around 2am. I'm sipping my drink when the aggressive bouncer gets in my face and asks me "What do you think you're doing?" I explain to him what the bartender told me (which of course contradicted him oh boy..don't ever contradict an insecure man child security worker). At which point the bartender suddenly completely flips her stance, denies what she told me previously, and makes up a completely different story, in order to take her co-worker's side, that I was apparently supposed to take my drink outside (this was never discussed as a requirement; in fact, I was the one who brought up going outside and asked her if I was ALLOWED to take my drink outside IF I wanted to, and she said yes). I CALLED THEM OUT ON THEIR BS. They couldn't take it. I complained that I was being told one thing by one staff member (the bartender), and then treated unfairly by a different staff member. Of course, these two were nowhere near big enough people to admit fault, take responsibility, and fix the problem. Instead, they were petty, they lied, and told me to "get the fuck out of here" after I had already put my drinks down and was already headed out because I knew there was no reasoning with these pieces of shit. The bartender couldn't take the truthful criticism I had given in front of her colleague, and she got defensive and lied in order to save her own butt and preserve her relationship with her bouncer co worker, at the expense of integrity and customer service (let alone being a decent human being). I genuinely hope terrible things happen to this bar, its owner, and its staff.

Yelp
Went bar hopping over the weekend on 21st Avenue and stumbled across this bar. I've been past this bar before and knew I wanted to check it out because it always looks so busy so I knew it must've been good. Drinks are priced good for being a bar on 21st. I got a cider for $5. The bar area was really busy but I was served quickly since the bartenders are attentive. It's hard to hear people talk since the bar gets really loud. They have karaoke every night that starts at 9 pm. It gets packed around then! Karaoke is definitely the highlight of this bar. They have a patio outside that is spacious. They also have a Photobooth. This is a really fun bar with a lively crowd. Perfect for a group of friends on a night out.

Yelp
Been coming here off and on for almost a decade. Back patio is beautiful and I've always loved sitting outside and enjoying it. The guys behind the bar are friendly and their food is better than average, nothing extraordinary but always decent especially if you need a late night bite. Recently I've come in a few times and there is a female bartender I hadn't met. Needless to say I haven't had one positive experience with her. I let it go the first 2-3 times because I understand people have off days and it's only human. But every single interaction is short and rude no matter how friendly I am, she makes you feel like you need to apologize for being there. You say thank you and she walks away. You try to smile and be friendly, she looks at you like your existence angers her. I think I said thank you 3 or 4 times as I was cashing out and leaving my tip(always at least 20% being someone who also works service and relies on tips) and she grumpily snatched it up without so much as a glance. This is during the day when it's not slammed/full of drunken college kids, I know how those nights feel and would maybe understand if that was the case. Sad to say her service leaves a sour taste and makes you not want to come back.

Yelp
21st Ave has done a great job during COVID, turning their back space into a well spread out, fun outdoor setting. The food is tasty and drinks are great. I also got a free surprise birthday beverage when we went and just quickly mentioned it was my bday. When times are tough for bars 21st still brought great customer service. Looking forward to when things are normal again and we can karaoke into the night, especially in December. Holiday karaoke!

Yelp
Totally fun bar in downtown portland. Great staff, good drinks, fun karaoke with a very diverse type of patrons. Love the place.

Yelp
I've had nothing but extremely mixed experiences coming here, all depending on who's working what night. I'll start with the positives: The food is delicious (especially the fries!), the karaoke is a blast, and the DJ who usually runs it is amazing and very kind. (: The bartenders on the other hand... eh. There is one woman in particular who has ensured that I never come back here, which is really unfortunate (again the fries are seriously so good). Every time I've gone and seen her (she seems to work a lot), she has been really rude and nearly drove my girl friend to tears. She seemingly intentionally made our drinks as weak as possible with the wrong flavors, and when we would ask super nicely if it was possible to have it corrected, she would snap at us. This is normally never something I would ask a bartender or service staff because I have to deal with Karen's every day at my job, but when you get the same drink every single week, you can tell when it's intentionally super off you know? It seemed like she was always super pissed off having to serve us, and she would throw our ID's back at us and slam our drinks on the counter. The final straw however (no pun intended) was when my partner asked for a straw one night from her. She gave us the meanest look and told us that a straw would cost $1 each. We were super confused because we had come here a million times before and never had to pay for a straw, and it seemed very malicious and personal. We turned to the bartender next to her, asked for a straw, and he gave us some immediately, free of charge without even hesitating. She got angry and walked away. That was the first time in my life I didn't leave a tip at a restaurant/bar. It was such a gross and weird experience, that we decided it would be best not to come back, since it seemed this woman absolutely hated us and we weren't welcome. I'm not sure if we did something to upset this woman, because we've never been rude or picky or anything to any of the staff here. It's super unfortunate, but we genuinely don't feel safe coming to this bar because of the person making our drinks. Someone told us that it might be because we looked like a non-heterosexual couple, and they had similar experiences with the same bartender when they took a female presenting person on a date there. When she went with a man, her experience was completely fine and pleasant. I'm definitely not trying to insinuate anything here, but it left us feeling unnerved. I hope to come back here one day and get those fries again, but we'll probably wait until she's gone. If that bartender is reading this, I hope you're doing okay and figured out whatever was going on in your life (:

Yelp
Portland wing week $5 for 6 wings! You get both drumsticks and flats. Peach HabaJaba is the featured flavor. The wings have good flavor and is not too spicy. Out of the three places we have tried so far, these wings had the most flavor. Giving this place 3 stars because they ran out of the creamy chimichurri dipping sauce that was suppose to come with the wings.

Yelp
Been here twice now over the last couple weeks. They've opened up a huge courtyard for outdoor seating, spaced well apart. Food has been fantastic both times (cheeseburger and spicy chicken club). Will be back for sure.

Edgar D.

Yelp
One of the worst bars to come to. The service was terrible, terrible terrible. Don't come here.

Yelp
Apparently I get the pleasure of FTR this event :). Tamara, thank you for getting us all together at 21st Avenue. UYEs are quickly becoming one of my favorite things. The Happy Hour was fantastic with $3.25 margaritas, $4 food items such as nachos & salads, and $1 oyster shooters, yum! To drink I had Monopolowa and soda, with extra lemon & lime wedges. It was priced very fair at $5 a pop, with freshly sliced fruit, and they weren't stingy with the wedges. Most importantly I have come to really care about this lovely group. We always have fun, I adore them, and am happy to call them real life friends. Added bonus I met Deb, whom I had never met before, and she is one awesome lady!

Yelp
In the COVID era - Twenty FIrst Ave has rolled with the punches and created a beer garden in their parking lot, complete with astro turf, picnic tables and social distancing. We had a fantastic time here on Thursday! Service was a bit slow but we enjoyed the company of our friends and we hardly noticed. They even gave us complimentary drinks because of the wait! our server was so polite and kind, we will definitely be back!

Erik L.

Yelp
I visited this place for the first time on Saturday. At first, it seems like a very divey night club -- dark, loud, karaoke, etc... But if that's not your jam, there's a back patio that's MUCH quieter, lots of space, a bar outside. These guys cater to many bar experiences. The best thing about this place is the food. It's all incredible -- get the loaded quesadilla... you won't regret it!
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
My friend and I went here last Tuesday for her birthday lunch. The bartender immediately greeted us. We sat the bar. I ordered a sour beer and my friend did as well. I then ordered the Oregon Runner bowl and a side of jo jo's. My friend got the sliders and the queso dip. The food came out quickly and was amazing! I usually do not enjoy kale and quinoa but in this bowl is a different story! The jo jo's where also amazing. Perfectly cooked. I also stole some of my friends queso dip. I could eat that dip with a spoon on its own! I will definitely be back again. Great service, great food!

Yelp
As far as patios go, this place is rad. If you are just passing by on the street, you would probably never know this sweet spot exists back behind the bar. And the inside of the bar itself is very roomy. Do yourself a favor, make the time to visit for some happy hour food served up every day from open until 6 PM and happy hour drink specials Mon-Fri 3-6 PM. They have a nice selection to choose from. $1 oyster shooters are a favorite of mine. I'm also partial to the sliders. The spinach and artichoke dip is great for sharing. The patio is quite spacious so it's a good spot for groups. I was there a couple of days ago when it was about 100 degrees outside and because it is covered by a huge, shady tree, it was quite comfortable in the late afternoon. Service when we arrived was order your drinks and food at the bar and they would bring your food order to you as the server had not yet come on duty. We didn't wait long for our order to come out though. The server came on duty right after we got there and we never had to get up for anything. I've been coming here for years and have been remiss for not giving them the proper praise they deserve. 2016 - Review # 46

Yelp
Fun & happening place on a Sat night. The crowd was young & the karaoke was classic. Fun & affordable place to grab a drink with friends. It's pretty loud inside - I'm clearly getting old

Yelp
Cool little karaoke bar. Came here with my colleagues and we were able to get a few songs off after 9pm. The service at the bar was quick and simple, the fries were good too. The men's bathroom had only one stall and one urinal, the door opens right into the urinal so it's a bit inconvenient. My colleagues requested a few songs for karaoke but he then noticed that his request kept getting bumped down and others kept getting priority for some reason. We didn't ask but we thought it was annoying. Anyway, great bar, gets pretty crowded and they had contests going on too.

Yelp
L O C A T I O N Between 21st Ave (duh) and Johnson St. It's street parking and an easy walk able distance from all the other local bars/ lounge if you want to bar hop. This was my last stop before my group called it a night and we were not disappointed. F O O D Got the //Fries// ($5) and it came out hot and fresh from the fryer. Got some beers too and it was good. S E R V I C E The bartender was friendly and fast to serve drinks. The staff overall were pretty cool. O V E R A L L This is one of the few places open late that has KARAOKE(9pm-2:30am)! This was a perfect way to relieve stress and sing the night away. The DJ was cool and kept the vibe going. The staff was great. This place has booths if you want to chill and get away from the music. They have Happy Hour everyday from 2-6pm and Late Night Happy Hour Sunday-Thursday 12am-2:30am.

Yelp
I NEVER write reviews the night of unless a. it was amazing or b. it sucked so bad i had to call them out, right then and there. This is the latter. I am a karaoke host, visiting from San Diego. Having a great time so far, enjoying the city. Then we went to 21st. Got there around 10pm. Ordered cocktails, which were weak, but hey, we're used to dive bar pours, so I just said OH WELL, and started ordering doubles. I put my 1st song in for karaoke at 10:15pm. The KJ, who was singing with another customer when we arrived, told me it would be 40 min for my song. Cool, it's busy, I get it. Around 11pm, I get called. I sing my song. Right after my song, I go up & put a 2nd song in, around 11:10pm. Then we watch the same people sing over and over, people who sang after my 1st song, singing twice, and every 2-3 songs, the host feels the need to sing over someone's chorus, or just take over people's songs completely. smh. I've seen this many times, so many KJ's who are just there to showcase and sing every other song, usually to try to impress drunk ladies with their "skills". LMAO. So, around 12am, I check to see when I am next. He says "12 are ahead of you.". wow, ok. I can wait. Then, the bartenders start watering down my drinks. Mind you, I am not slurring, not stumbling, completely lucid (to the point where I can compose a serious review an hour later), yet there are charging me double prices for less than single drink strength. ok. So now, its 1am. I've heard the KJ call 4-6 names who did not show up to sing. I ask when am I next, he says in 8 songs. An hour before, I was 12 songs from singing. then 8 people sang. then 4 or 5 didn't show. There is no way in hell I am still 8 songs down unless he is jerking the list. Which is exactly what this sad tool was doing. Keep in mind, I tipped him twice, despite only singing once. I even told the crowd to tip him after my first song. This complete douche deserves zero tips, and zero business. He is the epitome of the small fish in a tiny pond. Don't bother wasting your time or money on this drunkard's tourist trap. Unless you love watered down drinks and plan to bang the 50 yr old KJ, you're in for a sad night. ;)

Yelp
I really had fun during trivia night! The whole place (well, the side that we were on) was packed and the trivia host was great. There was only one waitress (who was awesome and sweet) so service was a bit slow but you could tell they were doing their best. The spinach artichoke dip was delicious! Red pepper flake on the top made it a bit spicy but it had a lot of flavor and I appreciated the fact that it was served with pita AND tortilla chips. Also ordered the battered fries because someone else did and damn, those are some of the best fries ever (I'm an expert...trust me). Other friends enjoyed their food as well, although it took a while to come out, and all of our beers were great. Solid food, solid people, great trivia night!

Yelp
Favorite happy hour spot Sunday. Yes this is the happy hour portion. Food truck bowl we added egg. Yum!

Yelp
HUGE chicken Caesar on happy hour for $5! The bacon is delicious also :) definitely glad I stopped on today, just what I was looking for. Super friendly staff, clean inside.

Yelp
I've been here three times - twice for food + drinks and once for drinks. STAY AWAY from food. We ordered a bowl the first time that was supposed to come with tortillas. No tortillas. 2nd time it was supposed to come with a fried egg, no egg. 1* for managing to serve alcohol

Kerrisah F.

Yelp
This place is ridiculous. Went in and they said "we're done serving." At9pm even though I called and it clearly states they close at 11pm. Then she just walks away very disrespectfully. Not impressed.

Yelp
This bar is my go-to kareoke bar in the Portland area. The atmosphere is one of a kind, and the energy is welcoming and uplifting. What I like about this place is that it offers kareoke, but also has other parts of the bar where you can sit in a booth where it is more quiet. They also have a super cute patio with a bar that's great in the summer :) I have brought numerous friends here and every single one of them loved this place. The service is always great, the blonde bartender Natalie has served me multiple times, always with a smile and very personable. Everyone who has served me there has been very friendly. The food is good, my favorite is the quesadillas! I also wanted to note that I appreciate the owner (Mike) for taking care of an issue that happened outside of this bar. My friend was assaulted by a drunk stranger and I had pulled out my taser to protect her and the stranger let go of her. Mike followed up with us about what had happened and was concerned for our safety, which I sincerely appreciate especially in the Portland area. This place is awesome and I will keep bringing my people here :)
google avatar

Alison T.

Yelp
Totally in agreement with this place's current 3.5 rating, but what the heck I'll round up to 4 stars :) Snagged a patio seat last nite. (BTW they have only about half of the backyard cleaned up and open at this time.) Service was a tad slow but it wasn't an issue for us and the place was busy with quite a few large tables. Decent portions, yummy beers. Will be back!

Yelp
I used go here when the really nice girl Bri was always working! She's awesome. The last two experiences I've had were really crappy with these two new girls I've been seeing more of. The girl with the short blond hair refused to serve me a second drink the other night.. what in the world? It was the most ridiculous thing ever. We were not even tipsy and had ONE drink, how could you possibly feel more comfortable serving me water? The bar was slammed she must have been feeling lazy. I wanted order two drinks from the brown haired girl with long and hair and glasses for happy hour for myself today, she refused to give me both and missed my happy hour pricing. She was also really rude last time we had an encounter with her as well. I will for sure find a new local place to go instead of coming here again. These two kind of almost feel like bullies ya know? They are just really rude.

Yelp
I came in here with some of my girlfriends and like the fact that it was a pretty hoppin karaoke bar. The big downside to it is the bartender gave my card to someone else and then had the nerve to say the girl use my full name when closing up the tab. My last name is Greek and really long I doubt she knew my first and last name. Long story short they don't have a good system for clothing tabs. And this ended up being a very inconvenient costly experience for me without a proper apology from them.

Yelp
Pros: happy hour 3-6pm, front outside seating and awesome back patio, servers + bartenders = cool cats, locals' bar Cons: I'm an alcoholic Located on the west side of NW 21st, between Irving and Johnson, there sits 21st B&G. The front has four picnic tables and inside there are two sections: one mainly for dining with booths and free standing tables, and the other section is the bar with stools and small intimate tables. If you go all the way to the back, there is a magnificent patio with a pond in the middle and a wrap around deck. All of this sounds like a family friendly, easy going, laid back bar, which it definitely is to a certain degree, but don't be fooled. It's not for the faint hearted. It's a rocker bar and a sports bar all in one. You come, you drink, and you roll. But most importantly, it's a neighborhood bar. Everyone knows each other and sticks together. The bartenders know the regulars by name and are the absolute sweetest. I like this bar.

Yelp
Love the back patio, looking forward to getting here when the weather is a bit nicer. Drinks were strong, service was great. The very pleasant bartender was happy to chat with me and my half in the bag, solo drinking self.

Yelp
As a business owner, let me give you guys a tip, if you're short staffed then make sure you service your customers in order and not skip as you like. And second, make sure you know your drinks. Waited 10 minutes just to order and then had to wait for the bar tender to make 4 drinks at the same time, woohoo. Not only did the bar tender not know how to make the drink but he left the drinks half way there and went to serve 3 other people while we're waiting, woohoo. Overall, never again, woohoo!

Yelp
If you're not a local it seems like the DJ won't let you karaoke. 2 requests and over a hour and a half and seeing the same people go over and over (including the DJ who sang a song herself) we took our money elsewhere.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoy this bar as a hangout spot with friends. The service runs smoothly, the patio seating is pleasant and provides plenty of space, and of course there's karaoke to top things off. The bar never seems too crowded and offers several local beers. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're ever looking for a bar in the area

Yelp
This place has been upgraded a ton over the last few years... Karaoke every night starting at 9pm, dog friendly patio, great happy hour prices (and all day Sunday) not the largest draft list, but the vibe, and price warrants 5 stars to me.

Yelp
Had the Glisan Wrap and it was delish! Really fresh and loved that they lightly toasted the tortilla, it was a nice touch. Great selection of local beers on tap. Can't wait for the sun to come out and enjoy the patio. Fun vibe! I'll definitely be back!!

Yelp
Sweet happy hour. Tons of items for $4. Nice patio out back, even in winter. Service was kinda slow but we weren't in a rush. I'd go back. I had the Caesar and tot-choes (tot nachos) and two pbrs for like $11. Food was good. We spent a good 2-3 hours here. The left side is more quiet for chatting. Lots of people watching here. Inside and out. Also we came here after work and didn't feel weird being in scrubs. It was divey/casual.

Yelp
My friend and I came in on a Wednesday night after flying in for a vacation. I was on East coast time and exhausted and hungry and she was just hungry. After an unpleasant experience of not being able to find a vegan option elsewhere, we were really happy with the friendly service and vegan options. They have a vegan beet burger but I decided to go with an avocado, lettuce and tomato sandwich by leaving off the bacon and the blast sauce from an existing sandwich. I truly appreciated their willingness to make a few modifications - it was delicious! And the jo-jos were yummy too.

Yelp
Never judge a patio by its interior. Don't be diverted by the walls of smoke and red velvet as the "dive bar-esque" impression of 21st Bar and Grill is not for the faint of heart. Continue on and you will discover an outdoor oasis of paradise that is hard to match - think The Secret Garden meets Never Never Land. Enchantingly lit by the shade of tall trees and colorful patio lights, this takes garden picnic to a new level! Stop by after work to enjoy a slow glass of wine and calamari, or bring the out of town guests for a fantastic ahi tuna burger. My one warning: don't mix the two worlds. Either come for a tranquil outdoor experience, or brave the indoor elements of bar food, video poker and intoxicated sports fans - both have their place of social importance, but should not be engaged in simultaneously.
