We drove for 35 minutes with high hopes about this place since it is a family owned, local business but it was a just such a disappointment! The cup cakes were not fresh, seemed like they were frozen and then thawed to sell! The cream was so hard that it just fell off the cake. The taste was okay, nothing wow or memorable! Mind it, they were quite pricey for not-fresh goods that you would normally expect from a family owned business. The only good thing is that they had all gluten free and some vegan items. I don't know why a cinnamon roll couldn't be vegan! Wish they had a few chairs and a table for customers to sit and enjoy their goods, they definitely had some room for that. Not everyone would want it for to-go, especially for people who were traveling so far to try their place out for the first time. Anyways, we won't be visiting this place again, after such a subpar experience! (I was generous for giving this place 2 stars)

A true gem for anyone with gluten or dairy allergies! Twice Baked is one of the few bakeries that truly understands how to make allergen-friendly treats without sacrificing flavor. Everything is 100% gluten-free and or dairy free, which makes it a total safe zone for kids and adults with food sensitivities, no second guessing or ingredient scanning required. We came in looking for something sweet for our little one who has strict dietary needs, and were blown away by the variety and quality. The baked goods are not only allergy-safe, but genuinely delicious, moist, flavorful, and made with care. The staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable.

Was next door at the optometrist. Saw they had vegan options. Walked in nice place lots of vegan vegetarian options. There cupcakes, cookies, Bundt cake , donuts and ice cream. All gluten free. Decided to try the filled cupcake and Bundt cake. Had good texture and sweetness. Everything is labeled very well so you if it vegan or vegetarian or egg free.

Stopped in for a cinnamon roll which were all sold out. We purchased a brioche bread loaf which was so good! Also carmel cheesecake and an enclair. All was excellent!! Staff was friendly and welcoming. All goods are gluten free will definitely go back.

A patisserie with everything gluten and peanut free. Also breads, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, and some many other baked goods. No place to eat inside, but lots of parks in the area

Twice Baked was the bakery I chose for my wedding. I went in a bit blind -- gf baked goods aren't always the best, but I didn't have time to sample my options before the wedding. They knocked it out of the park. Having celiacs, I've visited a lot of gf bakeries. These desserts were on par with the best I've had. Dahlia was responsive when I had questions about nut allergies and celiacs in our group. She helped me determine how many desserts we should order. But the biggest mark of success for me was the lack of leftover desserts at the end of the night. Everyone raved about the tiramisu cups, cupcakes with raspberry frosting, and cream puffs. The cake was moist, flavorful, and balanced - not too sweet - and many guests tried multiple of the miniatures. I am so thankful to Dahlia and the team at twice baked for being such an important part of our day. We love food, and it was important to us that our desserts were actually enjoyable. I was very pleased with how yummy these were, and that I had bridesmaids to save some for me to enjoy later ;) Highly recommend when you are looking for a bakery catering service. They knocked it out of the park!

SO SO SO GOOD! I ordered a birthday cake for my sister with a ton of food allergies, and whoever I spoke to on the phone (wish I still had her name!) was really helpful with all my questions double checking if the cake would be safe for her. Everything is very thoroughly labeled, and very delicious. The cake was super rich and tasty, and my sister grabbed a bunch of assorted pastries while we were picking up the order (the cake is down a strawberry in the front and no raspberry thumbprint cookies pictured because she ate both as soon as we were in the car.) Definitely coming back!

This gluten free bakery is the OG of the Long Beach/Los Alamitos area. They have been in business quite a few years and they do everything! Cakes, Cookies, breads, pastries, cheesecake, pies, pizza dough, pudding, doughnuts- it's amazing. Most items are sold fresh, but they also keep some of the breads frozen. They offer quite a good selection of dairy free, soy free, vegan, or corn free items. They carry some items every day, some on certain days only, and they accept preorders and design custom desserts as well. In the small shop and on social media they post the day's offerings; they sell out quickly so it's best to preorder or arrive when they open. It can be overwhelming! I pre-ordered a few of my daughter's favorite items for pick up on her birthday, a Saturday. The vegan doughnut holes are good sized, glazed, with or without sprinkles and baked fresh Saturday mornings. She loves the blueberry but also tried a few of the seasonal pumpkin spice. The banana pudding is creamy and delicious. I brought home an apple turnover for my other daughter. Most items we have tried were delicious. The only issue I had was with the frozen artisan rolls - they were a bit dry, but that may have been due to my reheating skills. At some point i will buy some fresh and see if the consistency is better. The owner is a wonderful lady, and her dedication to quality and providing tasty desserts and breads for gluten free diets has stayed strong over the years. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Can't wait for the holidays!

Sometimes I crave churros , doughnuts and chocolate croissants and unfortunately there are not a lot of places that make them gf and dairy free! Some of the items are a dairy free, and some of them are not. My favorite dessert was a churro! I gave the exact texture of a gluten churro! I took a bite out of each one, and I have to say the churro was the best! The girl at the counter was very helpful! It is a very tiny place, so there is no place to sit!

Was looking for something sweet and this small shop came up. A little pricey but i really enjoyed these treats. I tried the sugarfree cheesecake and a sugarfree pumpkin muffin. Both were good.

Twice baked made our wedding cake! Dahlia worked with us to get the flavor and fillings and look exactly how we wanted them! We needed enough cake to serve 160 guests and the cake had to be gluten free and vegan. Dahlia delivered no problem! Our cake was a HUGE success. My husbands 100-year-old grandfather said the wedding cake was his favorite part of the meal which made the whole family love it more. Many had guessed the cake was gluten free because I have celiac but were surprised to learn it was vegan. Choose twice baked for your event you won't regret it!!! 10 stars!! FYI their in-store goods are wonderful too. We love the vegan bar and churros.

I got a pumpkin cupcake and brownie for me and my son after school. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the texture of the cupcake.. it was gritty and tough. I like my cupcakes fluffy, airy and soft. Perhaps because it was gluten free and vegan? Not sure.... The brownie was delicious... worth $6.00 ... probably not. But I do enjoy supporting small businesses. The shop was really cute and seemed clean. The service was ok. The brief 45 seconds wasn't all that pleasant... she did ask me if I wanted napkins or utensils... that's where the 2 stars came in... not a fan ... didn't feel welcomed and won't be back. But my experience may not be yours ... good luck to this business though.

I live minutes away from this treasure! They serve desserts for many different food restrictions and I love that. I can't have a lot of sugar right now so this place has been God sent to help with my sweet cravings. Staff is great! The desserts are out of this world.

If you need gluten-free goodies, Twice Baked Bakery is a must-try. It's a bit hidden, but worth seeking out. They have a great selection, some keto-friendly treats, and the staff is incredibly helpful.

Twice Baked is a heavenly place. The owner is so kind and lovely to interact with and has created a special place with tasty treats. I enjoy the vibe of the shop with its decor and mostly the pastries. The reviews are true. They managed to re-create the Mother's Circus Animal Cookies and my gosh... I couldn't get enough of them! So I bought 8 to take home back to the Bay Area. I ate a few and have been freezing the rest. They keep really well in the freezer and their consistency doesn't change when I take a piece out to defrost. The other thing I got that I ver much enjoyed was their orange almond cake with cream cheese frosting. I saved it for 4 days to eat on my birthday and it was still so moist and flavorful. I had gone on Saturday to see if I could get churros and donuts, but they sold out so quickly! So get there early. I will very much miss Twice Baked and hope to return down south if only to get more circus animal cookies to take home.

I am a regular here!! I love this bakery; the owner and employees are so kind and always willing to help. The desserts are just delicious, and the vegan loaves are my favorite item to buy. With so many food allergies, I love knowing that everything I have here is safe and I won't be hurting later. I live 21 miles from this bakery, and it is worth my time to come here weekly. The atmosphere here is inviting, cute, and clean, and it also feels magical..

What an amazing place. Clean, smells yummy and most baked good are visible. I was greeted with a warm smile and the gluten free goodies were top notch. With dietary restrictions this place is a must!

Absolutely glad they have a keto bakery spot near me. I saw they had keto ice cream definitely going to get some next time !

Note: This review is only for the keto products. The service was really great and so was the ambience. Keep in mind this store is geared more towards gluten free than keto but I bought only the keto products cause the rice flour and other starch based are not great for my blood sugar. I bought the pumpkin muffin , cost about 8$ which was my best actually. It was a little dry but once microwaved a bit I'm sure it would be soft . My second favorite was the citrus lavender cake. Normally, I would never pick such a flavor for a pastry (but my options were limited) because lavender can be a very strong flavor that gets overwhelming quite easily and then paired with citrus -- those are both competing flavors if your base is almond flour. However it was soft, moist, filled with lavender and had this great icing on top, ( the icing is not Keto though has starch in it, so may kick you out of ketosis) tasted great----- still overwhelming for my palate ( personally) . My least favorite was the cheesecake. It was crumbly instead of creamy and it tasted like it had marzipan in it. Crumbly usually means it was not baked using the bath method but im not too sure how they made it. I Was definetly not a fan. I usually get my keto cheesecake elsewhere so it was my first time here. I tried so hard to eat it but could not go beyond one spoon. However if you like your cheesecake crumbly rather than creamy , you will enjoy this . It's just not for me. Would I go back?---- maybe if I'm buying for someone who is looking for gluten free or vegan items but definitely not keto

Corn bread and garlic focaccia were good. Service is always fast and friendly. I would stop by more often if I were in the neighborhood. Charming ambiance.

I came here to get an anniversary cake since my husband has a gluten intolerance. I called ahead, and the person who helped me was very sweet. Upon picking up the cake, I ended up getting a cheesecake and jalapeño and cheese bun. I tried the cheesecake and the flavor was somewhat dry and bland. The crust also had an odd taste. We tried the red velvet anniversary cake and it was really disappointing. The cake was very dense and didn't taste like red velvet at all. The flavor was also dry and bland. The cream cheese frosting didn't taste like cream cheese at all - it had a refrigerator taste to it. Overall, I was really disappointed. The cake I ordered was, I believe, 6" and it was over $50. Pretty pricey, in my opinion. I typically make my own GF cakes, but this time around, I just didn't have time.

These cupcakes where so hard the kids couldn't even eat them one kid had an allergic reaction to them. They to expensive to be that nasty never again don't recommend.

Great gluten free baked goods with so many of them vegan and free of other allergens. I can't do gluten or dairy and always find great stuff. I especially love their chocolate bundt cake, artisan bread, challah (special order), dairy free tiramisu (usually special order), babka, berry mini loaf, and brownie. They always do interesting seasonal stuff and special items too (if they have the pot pies, totally recommend snagging one!). We got our wedding cake there too and it received rave reviews, even from those who aren't vegan or gluten free. Super helpful and friendly staff too. So grateful to have this in our neighborhood

I found out two years ago that I am allergic to egg and it's so hard to find both gluten free AND vegan treats so I was so excited when my mom found this place and bought me a hostess cupcake which made my day. It's a little too pricey to come weekly for a treat but I come as often as I can and I always make sure I come by for special occasions cupcakes. The staff is always so nice and it's so clean and bright inside. I highly recommend to anyone who needs gluten free treats, especially those who love donuts because gluten free donuts are so hard to find.

I had a craving for something vegan, chewy, sweet... and I knew exactly where to go! The s'mores cookies are a staple in my order but I've also tried most of their other treats. Some of my favorites include the wonder bar, their cupcakes, the jam thumbprint cookies, and their scones! The only goody I personally didn't enjoy was their cinnamon roll, but that's ok, not everything can be a winner. The staff is always very welcoming and I love the pink walls and cute atmosphere. They also sell very reasonably priced merch; however, the treats aren't the most sensibly priced, making them a once in a while treat.

I unfortunately did not take pics, but the items were beautifully decorated with care. I came here for the allergy free baked goods. My grandson is allergic to everything. This place came thru for us. They were able to accommodate every one of his allergies. OMG! I was able to get cupcakes n cookies for him n he was beyond happy. He love the soft texture, the frosting was his favorite. I'm so grateful for this place. I'll be back of them for my only boy.

Twice baked is a wonderful little bakery that makes delicious treats accessible!! I have my own share of dietary restrictions, and I feel like every treat that is vegan or soy free or gluten free or allergen friendly or anything of the sort is always trying to be healthy. Sometimes people don't want a chia seed brownie!!! Twice baked nails this and I am so impressed by the way they are able to get authentic baked goods without incorporating gluten and animal based ingredients. The service is also always SO NICE. The owner is usually there working and will tell you in depth about any of the treats they have. The rest of the staff have always been super kind and chatty. You can also order things ahead of time for parties, or call and ask if they have your favorite treats available. My very favorite thing is the almond flour thumbprint cookies with fruit jam. I also really love the macaroons and the s'more mocha cookie! Definitely go here, if you're gluten free or not!!!

Incredible selection. They do a really great job. It's such a blessing to have all of our food sensitivities accommodated. Staff is amazing very informative and friendly. The place is clean, and the goodies well stocked in a very pleasing matter. Highly recommend.

For a small bakery, they have an awesome selection, diverse in nature & delicious in tasting. I arrived about 11am, got a selection of croissants, in almond, raspberry & chocolate. And an Apple turnover & delicious Decaf coffee for immediate consumption Fast & efficient

What can I say about this place...it's simply the best!!! I'm grateful for them. They have such an amazing variety of gluten free goodies. The best part is that they have donut day. I hadn't had a donut in 15 years until they started making them. They make wonderful cakes too. They satisfy all your baked goods needs and they especially come through during special occasions and holidays. This is a 10 star bakery.

Thank goodness for this bakery. The variety of baked goods is incredible. It's so hard to find a gluten free and nut free bakery. They also have so many other food accommodations. My allergy daughter was SO happy! Thank you!

We got all sorts of tasty treats for my sister-in-law, who has gluten sensitivity. Usually gluten-free options are limited in a bakery, but this place can cater to all of your dietary restrictions and come up with great-tasting baked goods. We didn't get to taste the goods because they were given to my sister-in-law. I'll have to ask her for some feedback. During this time of COVID, they are very careful with social distancing. Only two customers are allowed inside the store at a time. They are also accommodating, allowing us to pick up our purchases later after our son's soccer game so the food wouldn't have to sit in the sun for two hours.

i decided to take a road trip to try this gluten free bakery. bought a lot of goodies for me and a few others to try. I loved their circus animal cookie, but lemon bar was a bit too sour for my taste. i'll update this review when i try more of what i bought and when my parents and siblings try what i got for them edit 1: i loved the lemon crinkle cookie and apple crumble cobbler was ok. my mom love the pumpkin roll and pumpkin cheesecake. the pumpkin maple cupcake was too maplely for her liking. my dad thought the vanilla cupcake and chocolate chip cookie was ok. edit 2:i tried their keto lavender cirtus cake. while it wasn't terrible, i didn't like it that much. but i guess it's passable for keto folks. but given keto desserts are gamble in regards to taste, i won't hold it against this place. so far i'd rate this place 4.5. out of 5 stars, but i put 5 since i can't do half point ratings

so today I discovered Twice Baked has keto/non-dairy ICE CREAM!!!! :) omg. I had no idea. I bought the vanilla bean + choco chip. my hubby and I had both for a snack with their keto cookies. OMG. THANK YOU Twice Baked!!!! :D

I have Celiacs disease and with that comes some anxiety around getting glutened. But here at Twice baked, my only anxiety is around what treats to buy! They have a HUGE selection of gluten free goodies! I've enjoyed every pastry I've bought here. They do not disappoint. The staff is really nice and always patient with me when I take a long time to decide.

I believe that anybody who starts a business is 100 steps ahead than anybody else , it really takes a lot, my respect to these ladies working here. I really wanted to like this place but for how pricey it is customer service needs to be way way better, most serve fresh pastries and focus a lot more on flavor. I understand is keto and know things will not be the same as a regular bakery, just might need to pay more attention to what's been sold and quality control. It was just ok!

The strawberry shortcake was soooo yummy definitely my favorite! It's just such a far drive for us but it was worth it.

Amazing treats and bread that hit better than probably any other GF bakery I've been to. They have a really varied selection when it comes to ordering ahead, pretty much any bread product. Everything has one or more other allergen-friendly labels.

First time customer and you would think for being a first time customer they would rectify the issue or offer something back I spent $60 and very dissatisfied. with their service I ordered the flourless keto cupcakes and we all ended up with upset stomachs, when I spoke with the manager all she could say was that she knows that people have experience upset stomach from the monk fruit having erythritol in it as that can cause an upset stomach you would think since I was doing this for a birthday and Mother's Day or just to buy them that they would disclaim that to and let me know instead of relying on me that I should've been educated in the category pretty much she said people usually know this what they can have or not have not if your new to it so as a company you shouldn't assume you should let the customer know instead of being blinded by it and font indulging that info plus when speaking with the manager was fully aware that's what caused the upset stomach and still didn't offer a refund of any amount all she said was thanks for letting me know maybe we will make that one of our disclaimer ... really ??? be aware if your not satisfied and/or get and upset tummy issues especially being a special occasion they will shine it with just thanks for letting us know the other cup cakes that didn't get eaten as I over bought got thrown out I'm very displease with this company especially how the manager handled the issue and me being a first time customer.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this: I cried eating these pastries. It has been 7 months since my celiac diagnosis and it has turned my life upside down. It's taken quite a while to get used to, and I haven't had any baked goods since my diagnosis until now!!! I finally got to step into a bakery where I could eat anything in sight without feeling like the odd one out for once. It was amazing being able to feel like that again, and they taste so good and so much like how I remembered as the gluten versions. Thank you so much twice baked!!!

I'm always on the hunt for a great gluten, free and grain free baked goods and I was excited to try this place. Had a couple of their daily baked goods was for donuts and we're awesome, also had some cookies which I enjoyed and Bundt cake which was also pretty darn good. Definitely going to come back here again. Service was excellent super helpful staff in a small corner strip mall location.

Good gluten free food, friendly service. Ambience is meh, sterile and boring. Visited from the SF Bay Area where the gold star is Mariposa, this was close enough and despite being in the corner of some random shopping plaza was a shining star of gluten free food options in the LA area from our experience here. Lemon bar was by far the best from what we tried.

Great option & friendly staff. It's not a close drive for me so when I can make it I stock up. Getting GOOD GF goodies is is worth the trip.

Once upon a time, my vegan sister introduced us to Twice Baked's lemon/lavender biscotti. Morning coffee has never been the same after enjoying this delicious confection. These dandies are to be shared with those you love. What makes this bakery even better? The S'mores and pastries! These amazing delectables have made a huge difference during our holidays, too. Found this hidden gem last year! I can't even list everything they have just go! You will not be disappointed. Gluten free corn free dairy free etc. I don't know how she does it but it's all delicious! They will even put your name on a list and call you when they're making special things. Just go!

I am so glad I found this place and so close to our home. My son has multiple allergies (allergic to cow's milk, eggs, peanut, treenuts, sesame, etc too many to mention). It has been very hard to find a bakery that makes vegan, dairy free, nut free, etc cakes and cupcakes. So for the past 2 years, I have been experimenting on ingredients and recipes to make my own cupcake to feed him whenever there's birthdays and holidays. It's always a hit or miss for me. Now, I found Twice Bakery, I don't have to experiment anymore. They are a life saver and they have great and amazing customer service. They are all so nice and always have a great and beautiful smile on their faces right when you walk in. They interact with my son every single time. Aside from great service, most importantly, their goods are delicious and you couldn't even tell the difference with the usual cakes or cupcakes we eat. My son never had an allergic reaction to their cakes or cupcakes. He loves them a lot and can eat more than 2 but we never let him. I highly, recommend this place especially if you have multiple allergies like my son. Cupcakes are bit pricey but you get what you paid for...definitely worth every penny. Even if they are gluten free, vegan, dairy free, etc... they are moist and super delicious. Even I eat them and all our guests on every occasion. They couldn't tell the difference. P.S. I forgot to also mention.. They were so nice to accomodate my super late notice order/request for a cake for my son for his daycare party. I sent Dahlia an email for the request only few days prior (less than 4 days) with a super simple cake design. She was kind enough to accomodate but with a higher price than usual for a 6" cake, which was totally understandable (it was my fault anyways). It was delicious. Thank you again, Dahlia and team! You guys are the best and we appreciate all of you.

After recently discovering a dairy and gluten sensitivity, I'd been super bummed about not having the occasional yummy pastry treat. Twice Baked to the rescue! This business is personal, and you can tell from the moment you walk through the door of this *all gluten free* bakery. People ask them, "is everything really gluten free" because it looks like a regular bakery...and their offerings look really delicious! I was so impressed by the kind attention to each customer and their pastries are absolutely delicious. So much so, I re-read the menu a few times to verify that what I was eating was really dairy and gluten free. I was going to get "just one thing" and left with seven! Absolutely worth a visit, and if you have time to plan ahead, they seem up for anything.
