The Best Restaurants in the Tri-Cities, Washington | Eater Seattle

"Located at the Columbia River Mall, the ten-year-old Kennewick favorite was the Twigs’s franchise first attempt at expansion. Today, the restaurant offers modern fare like a pan-seared wild Alaskan salmon over cilantro citrus rice with veggies and a roasted red pepper corn relish, and — for dessert — fried, powdered sugar-covered doughnut holes served with caramel, chocolate, and Amaretto cream sauces for dipping. Open for dine-in, takeout, and delivery." - Kelly Knickerbocker

A Mixed Bag with Room for Improvement ⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ (2.5/5) We visited Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar for lunch and left with mixed feelings. While a couple of items stood out for decent flavor, the overall experience, especially the service and value, didn’t quite meet expectations for a mid-range bistro. 🍽️ What We Ordered: 1. Fried Calamari – Lightly crispy and seasoned well enough, but the portion was small for the ~$20 price tag. The artichokes and pickled onions on the side were a nice touch and helped round out the dish. 2. Avocado Toast – Served as four half-slices of toast with a thin spread of avocado—decent, but underwhelming. The scrambled eggs were passable but felt commercial. The arugula salad on the side was overdressed and heavy on cheese, likely gorgonzola. 3. Steak Salad – The steak cubes were overcooked and arrived cold, which was the biggest disappointment. Though the salad greens were fresh and plentiful, the dish was heavy on cashews, and the cheese flavor was intense. 4. Breakfast Burrito with Fries – I didn’t try this personally, but our friend said it was not memorable. The fries looked average—crispy but nothing special. 💁‍♀️ Service: Service was polite but lacked attentiveness. After being seated, we waited about 10–15 minutes to receive a drink order. Only two glasses were brought out for three people, and when our appetizer arrived, no utensils were provided. We had to request basics that should have been automatically offered. We did appreciate the server accommodating our request to change tables for better sun however. 🎨 Ambience: The interior had a retro-upscale family restaurant vibe—maybe reminiscent of a 1990s aesthetic. Some might find the design nostalgic, though it felt a little dated to us. The lighting fixtures were interesting and varied in design, which added a little flair. Pricing falls into the $30–40 range per person with an appetizer, so expectations were naturally higher. 📝 Final Thoughts: Twigs Bistro has potential, but inconsistencies in food quality, small portions for the price, and inattentive service made the visit less than ideal. While we enjoyed some elements like the calamari and fresh greens, it’s not a place we’d prioritize returning to—especially given the number of great dining options in the area.

We were pleasantly surprised to stumble across this fine establishment on our way through town! An absolute delight after driving hundreds of miles and being challenged by “road food” and rest stop survival rations! Instead of ordering the most expensive dishes, we went for comfort food so as to not shock our systems. The wife got Shrimp Street Tacos and I got the BLT. If a place can’t make a decent BLT, it’s a safe bet they probably suck at everything else too! The drinks were delightful! Our meals, both exceptional! Looking forward to stopping in again, soon!

Google
My wife and I love this restaurant for date night. They have a lot of great food and drink choices. We have enjoyed everything we have had here. I highly recommend the pork belly yakisoba and the mandarin mango mojito! The service has always been top notch and the staff is very friendly.

Google
First timer and this place did not disappoint! The atmosphere was comfortable, with a little sass. Everybody was friendly and made me feel like I’ve known them all my life. The food was great and our waiter, Cameron, made my first-time dining experience fun and memorable! I would definitely recommend Twigs to everybody and anybody!

Joanna L.

Google
I had such a lovely experience at Twigs Bistro, thanks to my wonderful server, Cameron. The bacon burger sliders and fries with Gorgonzola cheese were absolutely delicious—comforting and full of flavor. But what truly made the evening special was Cameron’s warm and thoughtful service. Dining out alone can sometimes feel a bit awkward, but Cameron’s kindness made the meal feel welcoming and pleasant. Thank you for a great dinner and even better hospitality!

Twigs Bistro: Where even the zucchini shows off I’ve been to Twigs more times than I care to admit, and it’s always a win. Last time I had the Colette steak and it was downright glorious—juicy, perfectly cooked, and clearly made by someone who respects a good cut of meat. But the real surprise? The zucchini. I don’t usually get excited about vegetables, but this zucchini had its life together. Tender, flavorful, not a soggy mess—honestly, it was the overachiever of the plate. The drinks are also consistently great—always with some fun twist that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a secret on the menu. One sip and suddenly you’re contemplating if you should’ve gone to mixology school. It’s got great vibes, killer food, and the kind of drinks that make you forget you were “just getting one.” Highly recommend.

Google
I travel a lot and I have to say this is one of the Top 10 restaurants that I’ve been to in the United States so far. Went here for lunch, I sat at the bar. The staff was great the only issue is that one of the bartenders kept trying to take my plate before I was finished, and sometimes it was hard to find her because she was working the bar and floor. Plus she wasn’t as friendly as some of the other staff, other than that, I had a great experience! One other small thing is, I wish you could add better items on the happy hour menu.

Google
If you want the BEST customer service. The BEST food and a great atmosphere with EVERY meal, this is your place to dine. I have never had any sort of bad or less than wonderful experience here at Twigs. A great place to eat with family, friends or a quiet night with a significant other. Never a disappointment. The food is hands down amazing! . Ask for Dom as a server and tell him Nick and Fay sent you! 😉

Yelp
Visited Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar on a Friday during happy hour (3 to 6 pm). Customer Service: We were greeted right away and asked if we preferred bar or dining seating, which was appreciated. Our server stopped by shortly after we sat down to walk us through the menu and happy hour offerings. Throughout the meal, the server checked in several times and made sure we had everything we needed. Food: We ordered the pesto margherita chicken from the regular menu, and the fish taco, calamari, and ultimate lemon drop from the happy hour menu. Everything came out in a timely manner and was full of flavor. The calamari portion was on the smaller side with less breading than expected, but still tasty. The lemon drop cocktail was delicious and refreshing. Ambiance: The restaurant is located within the mall area and has a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere that made for a nice dining experience. Would definitely return for the great service and happy hour options.

Yelp
The service and restaurant was nice, but the food was horrible. How do you go wrong with pizza... they served a margherita with zero marinara sauce. A margherita pizza's two main ingredients are mozzarella and marinara. I don't know what this was, but it was not good. We also had the pork belly and grits... there wasn't much flavor... very bland.

Yelp
Twigs is a nice, upscale restaurant in Kennewick. The interior is very well designed and the architecture looks great and well maintained. The food overall is very flavorful and I like how diverse the menus are. Happy hour is pretty diverse and I like how there are different tiers for different food and beverage options. The Orange Chicken salad was good and I loved the taste of the chicken. It was a good size and the Under the Sun pizza was completely covered with meats. That was appreciated and left us feeling full. The hostess was very warm and welcoming upon arrival. On this occasion I couldn't tell whether it was the server or bartender's fault but the drinks too quite a long time to come out. The Moscow mules were ordered together but came out at separate times. The second round took even longer. I wish a manager would have touched our table to assist in our experience but that didn't happen. Despite the service, I would recommend this establishment.

Melinda D.

Yelp
The reputation of a delicious martini brought me into this establishment, the service keeps me coming back. One of their best servers is Dom. Every time I come into Twigs, he greets me and my guests by our names, with a smile and an upbeat welcome. He is incredibly attentive, remembering our favorite drinks, anticipating our needs, and making suggestions according to our preferences. Dom goes above and beyond to ensure we have a great time, and always remembers to ask for our rewards information so we can earn points for the next visit. Our food and drinks are always great, but the service from Dom leaves a lasting impression that brings me back time and time again.

Yelp
This place is my new favorite spot. I don't live in Kennewick, but if I did... I imagine this would be my regular date night spot. Don't be fooled by the shopping center location. The food is spectacular and the service is tremendous. I highly recommend the Korean pork tacos and the calamari, the pecan Caesar was also fantastic. Because we came in during happy hour, I made the choice to order several happy hour bites rather than a large entree. Everything I ordered was really good and the co-worker that joined me also thoroughly enjoyed his food. I look forward to hopefully dining here again in the future.

Yelp
Food here was amazing! It was quite busy for lunch around 1pm. We were seated as a larger party right in front of the doors and every time they opened a cold wind would hit hard. Apart from that, atmosphere is great. Service was a bit slow, waiting quite a while to get our checks and again to be rang up. Conveniently located at the mall, great place for a delicious bite!

Yelp
Great service, amazing taste of food. We decided to go here instead of Olive Garden and so worth it! The atmosphere reminded me of a nicer Cheesecake Factory! Very nice.

Yelp
I got the pasta with steak. The steak was chewy and then it was almost crumbly toward the middle, super weird and tasted like it was heated up or something. The pasta sauce tasted worse the store bought canned Alfredo. Not good food. The service on the other hand was impeccable! Probably the best I've had in years. Probably won't be back.

Vanessa K.

Yelp
We had an awesome experience on 6/16 thanks to Megan, who impressed us not only as our server but also as the bartender who seriously nailed those drinks. They were the best alcoholic and mocktail drinks I've ever had. We were pleasantly surprised to learn she made them herself after I complimented the drinks, and it only made us appreciate her more. Megan struck the perfect balance of attentiveness and privacy, checking in just the right amount to make sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. She was kind, professional, and made our drive from the Seattle area feel less draining. The food was also so so delicious and portions were reasonable for the price. Compliments to the chef! Also s/o to Twigs because it's actually a good happy hour menu!! I had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate to come again if I'm in the area!

Ashton W.

Yelp
The food was good but definitely not worth the price, other than that the service was amazing and the server was very accommodating to me changing my mind constantly, we were sitting next to the fire place which was so warm and cozy and perfect for date night.

Laura H.

Yelp
Excellent. Great flavors, nice selection on the menu. Great staff. This is the extra mumbo jumbo because Yelp requires 85 characters for a review.
google avatar

Kacey J.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in tri cities. Delish cocktails and food. The ambiance is amazing too, lots of natural light. Sevice is always delightful. Can't go wrong going here!
google avatar

Jack C.

Yelp
Ok so it was really busy and service was a little slow but I feel that was bc they were a bit understaffed.. but we didn't let that stop us and we'll I'm glad bc this steak salad was solid! I'd suggest adding some croutons and bacon myself but seriously solid and was the perfect size to make a happy plate. Worth a visit and a drink for sure!

Carlos A.

Yelp
A few years ago it was ok. Last week it appears that Twigs is compromising quality. All ingredients as if from frozen sources. There are so many lunches in life to enjoy. I can't afford to waste another one at Twigs. I'll not go back!
google avatar

Marcie P.

Yelp
Delicious food. Nice ambiance. Not welcoming about service animals. I felt uncomfortable being questioned and with the way we were treated.
google avatar

Steffanie R.

Yelp
Our food was incredible and highly recommended the Peanut Butter Burger...a friend ordered one and another ordered one to go...I got two bites before it was devoured!!! Wasn't sure else what to expect with a peanut butter burger but so amazing!!! Our waiter was incredible as well as the bartender. They gave our group great service...plus it was our waiters 10 year anniversary of working there!!! That should say something in itself. Ambiance was nice inside and out. Plus the price was reasonable as well!
google avatar

Nicole H.

Yelp
Best spot in the area! Happy hour is such a good deal. Stayed for dinner and got a giant serving of pasta with another martini. Thank you Adrianna for the amazing service!

Kiley P.

Yelp
The food and service was amazing. Our server Cameron was also on top of everything. Thank you for the great atmosphere as well.
google avatar

Melinda P.

Yelp
Very PNW vibe, solid food selections, and good cocktails. If you are craving an amazing burger, this place satisfies and has one of the best flavored burgers made w/fresh local beef. I had the Kraken (GF&DF) and it was still off the hook. I had the orange Old Fashioned which had a fun twist and was a happy hour special (happy hour 7 days a week, ya'll!) My son had the prime rib dip which was decent. The drunken donuts at the end are worth the visit. I can only have a couple bites but it's totally worth it EVERY TIME!

Yelp
I'm from Portland but was visiting Eastern Oregon. Grandma said she'd just tried this place a couple weeks ago & said it was great... I ordered the Chicken, Bacon, Avocado sandwich except instead of a bun I asked for the basil wrap. It comes with a BBQ sauce but I asked to skip on that. A side salad with ranch. Con- I don't like that they grilled my wrap. My kid got Mac & Cheese- it's a fancy noodle lol it isn't Kraft- so if your kids are particular & don't like any other but Kraft I don't recommend. My kid didn't eat it :( My grandma ordered her Turkey, Bacon wrap however my grandma was adamant that the last time she came in her tortilla wrap was green... that was kinda a fiasco. About Twigs: it's cooled with AC. Covid-19 friendly- it appears some people who are I'm assuming vaxxed without masks & ones with no vax or masked up. (I only mention Covid because some people are concerned about that) Service was good until my grandma complained about her wrap. Food wise- it's decent however I wasn't thrilled that when I asked for no bbq sauce they didn't listen. I ate my wrap anyways since we were hungry but the attention to detail was missed. Would I return, I would but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Yelp
Had Huckleberry Martini and grilled mahi tacos. Martini was good, good flavor very sweet. Fish tacos lacked flavor and fries were a bit stale. Not served very hot or even warm. Needed a chipotle sauce or something to give dish more flavor. Not worth $19. Sat at the bar, server was nice. Cool place.

Kathy S.

Yelp
Dinner at Twigs is always something to look forward to -- great food and a fun atmosphere -- and Rhiannon Johnson's exceptional bartending skills and lively conversation enhance the evening. Do yourself a favor and head over to Twigs!
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
Always amazing !! Good food ! Happy hour is on point!! Customer service is always 100%

Jen B.

Yelp
This has become our date night spot on Sundays. We always sit in the bar area and Lizzie takes fantastic care of us. She is friendly, attentive and has great suggestions from the menu. We enjoy the calamari here, the artichoke hearts and pickled red onions elevate this dish. The grilled ribeye is delicious and seasoned perfectly each time. A must try for desert is the sticky cookie!
google avatar

Ryan R.

Yelp
The food the cocktails and appetizers always top notch. The Gorgonzola fries are to die for. Their deserts are also very good so save some room for that. It's also a great place to slam a couple of lemon drops while you are out shopping the mall. Seating is always available at the bar. Great Big Back Rooms if you are having a dinner party or hosting an event. That can get expensive in a hurry if everyone doesn't pay their own tab or for their own drinks. Had food to go from here several times during the pandemic and they never disappointed me. Great service and they are always there to greet you when you enter and helpful when you are leaving or picking up some take out. Cute too. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back over and over again. Fair priced for the quality and service. Not cheap. But you are worth it.
google avatar

Jordan E.

Yelp
The fries and Gorgonzola are what I go for! They are incredible!! The pork tacos , margarita pesto chicken, + their extensive drink menu is my fav! 10/10 recommend.

Kent M.

Yelp
The service was good. The atmosphere was good. However, the Fish and Chips were awful. The batter accounted for more than the thin piece of fish. The fish, skimpy as it was, was sandwiched between thick tempura batter. The cold slaw was missing the dressing. If you love fish and chips like I do this is not the place to go!
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
the new italian smash is so flavorful i love it! one of my new favs here especially for lunch.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Brunch menu was super creative. All meals very good and prepared well. Want to return!
google avatar

Gail C.

Yelp
I've eaten here twice now, and both visits did not disappoint. The Orange Chicken Salad has delicious flavor and the chicken was cooked perfectly! It was so good my first visit that I had to order it again on my second visit yesterday. Yummy! My friend ordered one of the brunch bowls and was pleased with his dish as well. Lots of flavor he said! The service is excellent, the food arrived quickly and is presented beautifully. Love the lighting inside, warm fireplace, and all around nicely put together. I'll be back!

Terri A.

Yelp
really drinks are 25.00 not coming back. Ridiculous. I know the economy is crazy but your drinks are not better than any other restaurant. You are driving customers away.
google avatar

Pnw F.

Yelp
This place was sub par at best. We ordered two burgers and kids noodles with parmesan. The kids noodles had sooooooo much butter it was gross. The burgers were so greasy it was gross. I expected a quality burger and not a grease soaked burger bun with very little toppings or sauces to the burger. And don't get me wrong all of these areas of preference are subjective, but there is also a difference between a cook trying to make the food good and one trying just push out an order. Just try is all we,d ask. We may try it again in the future but we will have no rush going back. Definitely won't try the burgers that's for sure.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Over the years I've always ordered my favorite menu item: moroccan beef with the gorgonzola sauce. The past couple of times the seasoning on the beef tasted like an American seasoning like McCormicks or Johnny's seasoning salt. Also the last visit the cup of gorgonzola was only 1/2 full. Bring back the moroccan seasoning and fill the cup!
google avatar

Krystal F.

Yelp
I absolutely love twigs and their fresh menus. I really enjoy their ahi appetizer and their flatbreads are out of this world! Don't forget to try martinis!
google avatar

Shaun R.

Yelp
Dinner for three on a Monday night, generally expecting things to be quiet, but there was a wine show in town so business seemed brisk. Quick and professional, big space for sure, nicely broken up so it doesn't feel like a barn. Service friendly and speedy, but I admit to a pet peeve is a server that is not sincerely engaged in taking care of the table, with a strange sense of fake-smile disconnectedness, and definitely acknowledging other servers while interacting with us. Not cool. Food good to very good, we shared the calamari and flatbread for apps, with the flatbread one of my favorites. For mains we had the truffle pasta, halibut, and I had the peppered salmon, which was good but frankly over cooked and dry. Flavors were great, but execution lacking. Didn't really examine the wine list, but the cocktails are pretty solid, we sampled through the Cucumber Coconut Mojito, the Cadillac Margarita, the Angry Pineapple Margarita, and while the margaritas were reported good, my impression of the clove orange old fashioned was somewhat weak. Overall, it's ok. Nothing really wrong, but nothing really stood out as great, and there were a couple of strange doubts in my mind.

Yelp
Great bar! Good drinks, nice decor, have only eaten there a few times but was good We go to the bar often

Alexis T.

Yelp
Very nice and clean interior. But very noisy. Can be very crowded around dinner time. Food is ok. Nothing special but good quality American food.

Shirl W.

Yelp
We had our "Foodie"family recommend Twigs in Kennewick. Oh my gosh what a yummy place to eat! There were 7 people in our party. Our waiter Austin was so knowledgeable about the food and flavors he answered all the foodies questions. We ordered things he recommended, We had two steaks, the mashed potatoes and gorgonzola fondue was so rich, full of flavor try them for sure. We had a salad, a taco and fish and chips. Our fish and chips were better than he had on the coast! I had the Kraken burger, best burger I've ever had, the meat was cooked perfectly and the sauce, bacon cream cheese was perfect, could of had a gallon and a spoon. Great food, great service, great time.
google avatar

Taj T.

Yelp
Twigs??! What happened?? My first experience was amazing, while this one fell flat. The "Crab Mac n Cheese" was so bland. The cheese was gooey and of great quality, there were enough pieces of crab, and the breadcrumb top was decent, but all these components couldn't come together to make a dish that made me feel anything more than "meh". The WORST atrocity was the "pear and beet salad". The vinaigrette was full of so much sugar that I took one bite and wanted to spit it out. I felt like I was eating dessert. A salad is supposed to be light and refreshing, but this drenched diabetic disaster made me feel bad about eating a salad! The salad wasn't the only dish overloaded with sugar. In the "Mezza Platter", the tomato salsa was similarly candy sweet. A tip to the restaurant: give us several spoons, otherwise the hummus, cheese, and mashed olives all combine together to make one gunky mess.
google avatar

Amanda F.

Yelp
Every time I go I get the seafood mac and cheese. It's awesome. I haven't been there in a while but I will be back. Great place for lunch.
google avatar

Nunya B.

Yelp
Enjoyed a Martini lunch during a conference. Swapped the vodka for gin and had a gentleman's blue cheese martini. So good! Big group was seated and served quickly. Bulgogi tacos- mmmmm!

Ella TS Q.

Yelp
Bruschetta not so great. Drinks were wonderful. I got a grapefruit something that was amazing! Service was stellar and ambiance was nice.

Jan W.

Yelp
The food and service are always good. It's a quiet, comfortable place for a get-together with friends. They have gluten-free options. The only negative is finding a parking space can be difficult.
google avatar

Kassandra S.

Yelp
This place was good and conveniently located at Columbia mall. I had a chicken sandwich which came with cheese, lettuce, tomato, chipotle bbq aoli, bacon, and avocado. I didn't care for the aoli, but overall the sand which and fries were good. I also got a side of macaroni and cheese which was amazing. Typically the kids version always looks like "Kraft", but this wasn't. It was a curly pasta, and tasted like it had multiple cheeses in it. I will be back to try some of their appetizers and Drinks which also looked good.
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
Twiggs provides excellent service. I love their martinis and creme brule. The atmosphere is inviting and perfect for a date night, nice group gathering, birthday celebration, etc. Save room for dessert!

Jan R.

Yelp
Great food service and atmosphere! I love to meet friends here for lunch or dinner. Service is wonderful, food some of the best around. good to make a reservation as it's a popular place to eat.

Yelp
Love this place! Delicious food, great ambiance, definitely a great date night spot. The staff is always very welcoming & provides wonderful service. Their halibut & salmon are two of my favorites - very tasty! The fries with the gorgonzola fondue are unmatched (heavenly). Definitely recommend this place!!

Yelp
Our sons wedding was in Eagle ID and we live in Moscow ID. We needed to find a restaurant near Eagle that could accommodate around 30 people for the rehearsal dinner. We looked at a number of places however none offered the size of room or were very expensive. We called Twigs and they had the perfect combination of fine food, space and flexibility to accommodate our needs. The manager was great the space was perfect, the food excellent and the service outstanding. Over all we were very pleased with the experience and highly recommend Twigs for your special event. Next time we in the Boise area we are certainly going to stop by for another fine meal.
