The best restaurants and bars in Rochester | Eater Twin Cities

"Looking to eat gluten-free? Most of the offerings at Twigs Tavern & Grille are gluten-free, so no need to fret about ending up at a place with limited GF options. Especially for those particularly sensitive, an entire section of the kitchen—appliances and all—are used to prep the gluten-free options. When the weather cooperates, Twig’s expansive patio is the place to be." - Cinnamon Janzer

Google
Excellent food and ambiance. Their Gluten Free menu is the largest and best I've seen anywhere in this country. We will be back!

Stacy Platz

Google
Food is fantastic! There are definitely a lot of unique choices. 4 stars is due to 2 things: We had made a reservation for 7:15 and they were late having a table ready for us. They need to do some updates with their chairs, they are pretty uncomfortable. Otherwise prices are good, table service was good. They are one of the main restaurants that have gluten-free options. Pictured is the greek chicken kabobs for an appetizer and a spicy Hawaiian waffle melt.

Google
Amazing! Hot rock was fun. Didn't think we would get full on the combo but was plenty of food. Drinks well made and my wife didn't like the first drink (flavors were not in her liking, not made wrong) they took it off the bill no problamo. Drinks are also priced well. We sat outside for a very good time. I recommend everyone to come try the hot rock and sweet and sour sauce and pineapple bourbon sauce!

Google
WOW 🤩. If a person is gluten free a must stop!! Full gf menu. And not a up charge like so many places charge an extra arm and leg for a gf bun or gf pizza crust. My friend who is not gf had a great meal too, there is a full menu for non gf too.

Google
We had an amazing time at this place! The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. They have a great selection of gluten-free options, and almost all of their desserts are gluten-free. We went twice, and the first time we sat outside, which was a lovely experience. The second time, it was a bit too cold to sit outside, so we went inside, but it was still a great experience. The atmosphere was great, and the drinks were incredible. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and delicious dining experience.

Google
Absolutely amazing service, thank you Taylor (our server). Super patient service, really good food, it was fresh and yummy. My mom, who is gluten free, finally got to look at a menu and see more things she could have than she's ever seen. They are super Accommodating to gluten allergies and have an entire separate part of the kitchen for it. Deserves 5 stars. 👍

Susan Milana

Google
Amazing menu and Gluten-Free! I was able to have foods I haven't had in years because they made the gluten free.

Mel Mc

Google
Great gluten free dining experience. They asked upon entering if a GF menu was needed. I was able to order pan fried walleye (a MN specialty) and it came to the table with a GF tag on it. Tasty food, attentive service, would recommend this place to others and will return again when back in the area.

Yelp
Twigs is, in my view, the best overall restaurant in Rochester. Located on the main level of a very mediocre hotel, the restaurant shines for several reasons: great ambiance, varied menu, beautiful presentation, an attentive staff, and, most importantly for me, a commitment to modifying any menu item to accommodate their guests' dietary needs. The owner-chef has dietary restrictions and has committed herself to gluten-free options prepared in a separate, gluten-free kitchen served on gluten-free plates, other allergen-free options, and low or no-sodium versions of virtually every menu item. All you need to do is let the staff know, and they'll work with you to deliver a superb meal that meets your needs. Every time we're in Rochester, we make a point of enjoying dinner at Twigs. Our first meal was their unique Hot Rock Grilling, similar to the Japanese Shabu-Shabu, where the diner cooks their meal. At Twigs, sliced meat or seafood will be delivered to your table with a 650-degree rock, where you cook and season your entreé to your liking. Dipping sauces and sides complete the experience. At subsequent visits we ordered lots of small plates to share. Favorites include: Cucumber pear caprese, Greek Chicken Kabobs, and a Mini Ahi Taco Bowl. All were excellent.

Yelp
Still love and recommend Twigs for offering an outstanding culinary experience in Rochester. But, something is off since my last visit a year ago - service! Way off. Host stand people were pretty much clueless and looked like they belonged at a freak concert. Our table service was pretty much non-existent. No personality, avoided eye contact, curt, and non-attentive to the point of near non-existent. You folks can do much better. This is also my second trip to Twiggs where I have really been 'bugged' by a nuisance fly. And my pasta dish had obviously been waiting a while under a heat lamp. Maybe this isn't the great dining venue I once thought it was? Needs some serious QC.

Yelp
Made a reservation for my husband's milestone birthday and requested a nice table, good service, and a little birthday dessert in the end. Did not get any of those. The service was mediocre, at best, and very impersonal. But the food and the drinks are outstanding! I will give credit or credit is due. The appetizers were off the charts yummy in the main course of chicken and waffles and one of the burgers was stellar. We enjoyed a martini to kick off his birthday evening and ended with an old-fashioned. Again, the food and the drinks were great. But the service and requested specialness of the night were not there at all. Definitely will get food "to go".

Yelp
The ambience is very nice with a very convenient location. I watched the Rochester Parade on the patio. However, the service issue was tentative at best. I had some grilled chicken kebabs that were probably four stars and a watermelon storm drink and a Mojito. The first drink was good, but I didn't know it was gonna be served up as a martini so I was a little off. The second drink was supposed to be a basil ginger Mojito, but there was only one one basil leaf. Zero mint leaves. Zero. No ginger. It tasted like sweet & sour. Gross. I never do this with drinks, but I'm going to have to send it back. Manager came & offered to remake but admitted they didn't have ANY mint. Weird. My recommendation was do not put Mojitos on your menu if you don't have any mint. Basic drinks 101. She took it off the bill.

Yelp
Twigs has a very nice ambiance inside and out with patio seating complete with fire pit to indoor tables and booths or bar seating. Extensive GF menu offerings. Make a GF gal feel normal with all of the offerings! The service was great all 4 times we either are in or took out! Wish we had a restaurant in town that was this accommodating and contentious as well as delicious to boot! The Strawberry Rhubarb Mocktail was fantastic. The onion rings were ordered on every visit!!! They were perfectly cooked and seasoned with a light crispy batter. Chicken and waffles were a close second to our "regular" order. The mini Belgian waffles were super cute and the chicken tenders were breaded, large and filling! The Parmesan crisps were unexpected delicious .. almost like a fried savory chuck of elephant ears sprinkled with Parmesan! I'm pretty particular about my fish and am pleased to report that the walleye was a nice flakey white fish that was meaty and filling: not fishy! The fried Sweet and Sour shrimp were huge! And also filling. . . You can always order the entree over the appetizer if you also wish to try some of the side accompaniments... Thick cut fries, mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries to name a few! Glad we were here a week to try most of the menu! When the shrimp nachos are your weakest link then I think you're doing pretty great!

Bob C.

Yelp
Philly steak sandwich they asked how you wanted the meat cooked. I said medium rare. It came well done with a roast beef consistency. No seasoning. 15 French fries most little hard pieces. Grilled Ruben so thin arbys had three times the meat. Grilled chicken dry n tasteless. Kids chicken strip meal 2 strips about 1 Oz each low grade meat. Food on the floor Dirty walls Filthy windows Sticky table. I will never return to this restaurant.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! When I noticed it was at the hotel I kind of had a second thought because I've had bad hotel food in the past. But when we walked in we were pleasantly surprised, turned out to be a nice quaint restaurant. They asked if we had reservations and we did not, it was going to be an 1.5 wait, fortunately they had seating the bar. The bartender was fantastic, hard working girl. The menu was so vast I couldn't make a decision. She gave me some suggestions! Needless to say her suggestions were top notch. I can't eat gluten and this place has the most extensive gluten free menu with a second kitchen!!!!! My meal was fantastic I had gluten free fish tacos and had a pita small plate. Definitely will go again if I am in town!

Yelp
Everything was delicious! Our server was attentive even though they were obviously very busy. We usually sit outside, but with the warmer weather we chose to sit inside and it was very nice and not too loud. I had the country captain chicken... amazing. It was so good. My husband had the spicy Hawaiian chicken melt waffles ... just the right amount of sweet and spicy. They have so many options there is something for everyone.

Yelp
My god superior good here esp for GF eaters. Here are photos of my wife's gluten free dinner & dessert that I was forced to help finish PS Had the Walker in white wine & equally good

Yelp
I have celiac and had a great meal when visiting Rochester! I love that they have a gluten free frier and the service was very speedy. The drinks were great as well, I'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
We absolutely LOVE Twigs! My fiancé has a gluten allergy and they make the best GF food in town with a completely separate kitchen to avoid cross-contamination. The risotto poppers are incredible. Fried pickle burger, shrimp tacos, and ribs are my personal favorites! Must try!

Cheryl S.

Yelp
* I spoke to the managers after the meal and one of them very graciously took my meal off of our bill. The host gave the gluten-free menu to the wrong person so making a choice was very difficult. Finally decided on a Ruben sandwich but was told that was not on the gf menu (that's how we discovered the mix-up) and that it couldn't be made gluten-free. I ordered the gf Philly cheesesteak but the meat is actually pot roast and my first bite was all fat. The meat was so bad that I couldn't eat it. I was never asked if I liked it or not and even though I couldn't eat it, was charged full price. There are no cheese substitutes if you can't have dairy. I was told the fish was wild caught but when I looked it up I found out it was actually farmed. Sadly, it was not a great experience for a place I was really looking forward to.

Sandy A.

Yelp
I had the scallops on rice. It was very tasty . My daughter had one of their steaks. She couldn't stop talking about it. We loved the surroundings. It would be great to come back in the spring and sit in the outdoor garden. I do suggest calling ahead for reservations. We went without reservations the first time and it was going to be a 2 hour wait. So we came back the next night with a reservation.

Sarah S.

Yelp
Twigs was recommended to me by a friend who has celiac's and knew I was spending a lot of time at the Mayo. I am highly sensitive to gluten and haven't seen a menu this extensive in a long time. I had a procedure where I couldn't eat for two days and planned on going to Twigs after. It was a Tuesday night and there was a one hour wait but there was immediate seating at the bar. I couldn't wait! Food was delicious and service was fantastic. I had the chicken tenders and waffles. Yummm. I will definitely be back if I need another great meal.

Yelp
Outstanding food! The smoked meatloaf was impressive, the service exceptional, nice decor and the meal was priced at a great value. Really, one of the finest restaurant's I been to an a very long time. Super waiter as well. I highly recommend. Be sure to have reservation.
google avatar

Gary P.

Yelp
One of the most unique restaurants we have been to that cater to all and even make good tasting gluten free entrees. We ate outside and loved the atmosphere. The service was slow but they were swamped. Better have reservations!

Yelp
6 weeks of living at Centerstone due to needing treatments and surgery for cancer, you order enough. Everything is always great and the Gluten Free menu is amazing! Patio is lovely for outdoor dining. Love the butternut squash ravioli and the pineapple chicken blue flatbread (minus the blue lol). Only complaint was the tomatoes not being flavorful in the caprese small plate but the rest was amazing!

Yelp
I had dinner at Twigs with my husband and daughter on May 8, 2025. I just want to say that the service and food were horrible. the waiter we had was not attentive and he only came by to ask for our order and when the food was ready to serve at our table. I ordered the Philly burger and was a soggy mess! the bun was wet from the sauce or ketchup and had no flavor except the wet soggy bun taste! my daughter had the chicken strips dinner and was not crispy and very dry! the manager or whoever was there to supervise came by and asked how everything was going. I told her the burger was not very good and should not be called a burger because it was soggy with lots of ketchup or sauce on the bun! The only thing she said was that she would let the kitchen know and if I wanted a new one after telling her it was not very good! LOL! Also the onion rings were doughy and not crispy! I will not go back to eat there after that bad experience! Please train your staff how to provide customer service and your cooks how to cook because it was not good food and customer service was bad!

Teri L.

Yelp
Food was excellent- service outstanding. Booth uncomfortable- furniture needs updating. My biggest concern was that we were asked to leave immediately following our bill being paid. The restaurant was not busy and there were many open tables. Our family traveled over an hour to a centrally located business so we could visit and celebrate together. We were offended to be asked to leave.

Tristen B.

Yelp
Came to Twigs for my good friend's 22nd birthday tonight. Needless to say we will not be coming back in the future. Of our group of 9, 7 of us were 21+ years old. When we ordered beverages, the waiter had to get the manager to check our IDs. The manager (blonde, heavyset woman) refused to serve us alcohol and stated that the only way she would accept our (genuine) government identification was if she called THE COPS and had them verify our IDs. WHAT?? Either Twigs needs to purchase an ID scanner or find a different ID verification expert, because this lady's "there's hardly any ridges on the back" and "it just doesn't feel right" methods are inaccurate. If she's so concerned about alcohol law then she probably shouldn't have 15 year olds running margaritas out to tables! On top of all this, service was slow and one of our medium-well burgers was still mooing!!

Yelp
This was an unexpected gluten free oasis. They have SO many options and are so accommodating and welcoming. We sat inside and I thought the interior and ambiance was very nice. Our waiter was attentive, timely, and everything came out as we had asked for. I thought the GF onion rings were excellent. I made one major mistake though - I ordered pasta, knowing fully well that I probably should have leaned towards something more grill-like (baby back ribs, burgers, steak, etc.). I thought my pasta wasn't very good and I would recommend ordering something different (as I mentioned, there are A LOT of options). The prices are very fair, and the serving sizes are plenty big. I wish we were in the area more often because I would slowly try to make my way through the many GF options on this menu!

Joan W.

Yelp
Great food served fast. Warm atmosphere and pleasant staff. We had a grilled chicken Korean and a cheeseburger wrap. Both were great and very filling.

Mary A.

Yelp
Three of us had dinner on a Saturday night. The patio was very pleasant, and the servers were kind but not organized. A server came by with a tray and asked, "Is this yours?" (It was not.) We had to ask for silverware three times--including from the person who came to ask,"How's it tasting?" (We were anxious to find out, too.) My husband said his steak was fine, and my Korean BBQ tacos were tasty, but too overstuffed and soggy to eat without utensils. My daughter ordered a rice bowl and was terribly disappointed--unseasoned chicken, unseasoned black beans, unseasoned corn on top of very bland cilantro rice. I know how beloved this restaurant is for its GF kitchen, and a bland dish like this could also definitely fill a need for a certain clientele. But we could have put something nicer together at home.

Martin M.

Yelp
Never had a bad meal at Twigs. All gluten free meals are flavorful bc and delicious. You would never know they are gluten free. Since they have two separate kitchens my daughter can had GF that she medically requires and I can have from the regular kitchen. Highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Jim T.

Yelp
My son took my wife and I to Twigs this week. Although I live in Rochester, I had never visited. Choices. The menu has so many choices. Now, that would usually send off an alarm as it is hard to pull off a complex menu well. I had the Parmesan crusted Barramundi. It was crispy on the outside and Tinder on the inside. My wife had the meatloaf. I sampled it but it was a little too smoky flavored for my liking. The service was impeccable. The restaurant adjoins a hotel but don't let that stop you from stopping by this local gem. Many gluten free choices too.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
Fun place with perfectly acceptable food. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Had chicken fingers and fries that were good but the best side dish was the garlic asparagus. YUM.
google avatar

Tosha T.

Yelp
Almost everything is available as gluten free. They have a separate gf kitchen with a large menu. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. Gorgeous flowers and atmosphere. Fast service with a smile
google avatar

Yelp
Thank you Twigs for serving AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS GF food along with regularly prepared food my spouse will eat!! I wish you were closer to home!! This was such a treat!!
google avatar

Carla F.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant and excellent service! There are lounge areas with leather couches that are so comfortable and perfect for socializing and relaxing. The menu is extensive with lots of options but my favorite thing is that they have 2 separate kitchens - one for regular cooking and one for gluten free cooking. This ensures true gluten free dining. My husband and I both got fish and it was delicious. Definitely recommend!

Amy E.

Yelp
Best Food ever for gluten free! A whole menu for gluten free patrons. So use to eating cardboard, this restaurant was magic on the palate. Best filet and desserts we've had. Very nice gentlemen waiters. Joe the manager was very accommodating. Would 100% recommend trying this place if you're gluten free!

Callum G.

Yelp
Y'all this was goated good food amazing service and the ambiance was fitting with the theme twigs the hot rock was cool to!

Yelp
This was our second time enjoying Twigs and we were off to a slow start as we didn't get a server for 30 mins. This is when John S. stepped up and took care of us after him recognizing we had been overlooked. Everything from then on came out in a timely manner and there was plenty of follow-up with sincere service. Great food with lots of different flavors. So many good cocktails from choose from. The Gin and Parrot was amazing. Thank you for a great experience and thank you for taking care of us.

Kris D.

Yelp
They have now added Chicken & Waffles to their menu, both regular & Gluten Free! You'd never know the waffles are gluten free, deliciously crispy outside and fluffy inside! The chicken was crispy, but a bit oily. All in all? I'll definitely be ordering it again!

F S D A.

Yelp
You need to reserve a table if you wish to dine at Twigs. You can do it online. The layout is very good and the ambience is close to a fine dining atmosphere. The outside garden seating area with a fire pit and gas heaters is unique and very pleasant. The food however is NOT cooked to order. We ordered an appetiser and it arrived 10 minutes after the main course!!! The soup was great , tasty & filling. The main course came COLD just 10 minutes after we arrived. We returned them ( two dishes ) and came back luke warm !!! The waiter threw the check on the table twice ( once when he brought the bill and a second when he returned it after payment) . I was counting on returning back but this experience would deprive me from enjoying this fabulous setting.

Yelp
Twigs has a fairly large menu so there's something for everyone there. First off I have to say that our service was fantastic. We were part of a group of about a dozen people that last minute decided to eat at Twigs, we were able to be seated, have all of our food arrive relatively quickly and they have a system set up to pay from your phone which was clutch. I had their poke bowl which was pretty good but a little confused by being between a Tex-mex and more typical pan-asian flavor profile. It was a little on the higher side of the price range for a place like this, but that may come with the proximity to Mayo Clinic. 3.5/5 would be my score overall.

Deb W.

Yelp
Good food with good variety, friendly atmosphere. Close to clinic, lots of parking. Very clean

Johnny P.

Yelp
so to start off the girl that took me to my table was very slow and didn't understand us and secondly the manager tara smelt like BO, i would not recommend this restaurant
google avatar

Tom B.

Yelp
We love this place. My daughters both have an issue with gluten. They have a separate area just for gluten free. Been there a few times and never disappoints

Anna M.

Yelp
The food was delicious. I ordered off the gluten free menu and my companions ordered off the regular menu. Everything we ordered was very good. What a relief not to have to worry about cross contamination with gluten. We dined there twice while we were in Rochester. The inside dining was nice with booths and tables and the outside tables have umbrellas to provide shade. Whoever tends all the beautiful flowers and plants in the outside dining area sure does a great job. I've never seen cattails in a city garden before. Last but not least, the cooks and the waitstaff did a great job!

Titus A.

Yelp
Twigs? Turds, perhaps. Went to this place -- in theory -- for dinner. Asked in advance the maître d' regarding hour when the kitchen closed. Was told 9:30. Returned at 9:00. Was told -- with "Minnesota nice" passive-aggressive attitude -- that the only option was the bar. Plenty of available tables, but didn't want to make a stink. So at the bar I sat. And sat. And sat. While the bartender chatted endlessly with the one other customer. No greeting, no menus, no nothing. The maître d' / Head Turd returned to behind the bar, attending to some meaningless task. I interrupted the bartender to get the attention of maître d / Head Turd and asked him to give me the menu containing the alleged food that he told me that they allegedly serve. He slapped the menu on the bar and left. Still no service. The time now 9:25. I left. Had crutches, so maybe this place discriminates against those with mobility issues. FYI, I had eaten here over the summer with 2 other people, and found the food mediocre at best.

Yelp
My husband and I eagerly look forward to dining at Twigs when we are visiting Rochester. This year we have an extended stay. As I just had surgery we ordered pick up. The order was wrong, only one was gluten free, the sides were wrong and the two people who handled the situation seemed stressed and uncaring. Talk about major disappointment. Now, instead of ordering frequently during our stay, I'm not sure if we will return. So sad.

Betty T.

Yelp
The gf menu is amazing. The service is hit or miss. This last time, I had to ask three times to get a straw. I have a medical condition which can make tipping my head back difficult. Then I had to ask for a spoon when he brought my soup and wait while it chilled as he took his time coming back with one. There were no napkins or flatware on the table so we had to ask for that too. When our food came, my husband's was fine but mine was nearly cold. He didn't come back until it was too late to ask him to have it heated up. My husband was done already. A very disappointing experience. We are usually very generous tippers but gave half of our usual. I suppose he thinks we're cheap instead of him being incompetent.

Yelp
We stayed at the Centerstone last weekend specifically so we could just eat at the hotel after a long day of prom dress shopping. Sadly, we were not allowed to be seated. We were a large group. 6 moms and 8 teenage girls. It was 7:30 pm and we asked to be seated. I stated we could be split up into separate tables or whatever was easier. The young girls at the hostess stands said they'd have to ask the manager. That was strange.... The girls come back and say they will seat us but it will have to wait until 8:45. We said fine and we'd wait. The girls sat in the hotel lobby and we grabbed a seat on the couches on the other side of the wall in the waiting area. Long story short, as we waited for mom #6 to come down, we still had empty cans from the hotel room. We were talking about our next round and waiting for the last mom. The manager comes over to our group and says "you need to leave....you can't be in here with your drinks". From there one mom engaged with the manager and things went from 0-100 MPH QUICKLY. We were all leaving as we are compliant people.....no problem. We totally get it as we should have tossed the cans on the way in. We were honestly planning to start a tab as soon as mom #6 came. I am a small business owner. I was shocked by the way the manager actually yelled at us. We were never asked to toss the cans or start a tab. It was "you need to leave". I went to the bar to try to talk to her. I just wanted to get contact info on the owner or anyone to tell them how we were treated. I specifically wanted to just tell Tamera, the Manager, that you shouldn't keep yelling things back at the customer as you walk away. I am a mom of 5 and tell my kids not to do that. I expect a "manager" to know better. Sadly I never really had the opportunity to finish a sentence with the manager. I just wanted to calmly talk and ask for contact info. I know my friend was in the wrong. I did say that right away. The manager was very emotional and all I could get was "your friend CAME AT ME" (she never left her seat) "you are lucky I even agreed to seat you" (not sure why...it was a Saturday night at 7:30 and we told them to split us up and we were willing to wait an hour and 15 minutes) and then a bunch of very emotional statements. The worse thing was that our kids had to wait in the lobby later on for meals to be delivered. Both times they were down there, the employees at the desk were STILL talking about our group. That is beyond unprofessional and not acceptable. But at least our teenage daughters were able to see first hand how bad it looks to gossip about people....especially customers. My advice. Don't go with a big group as it doesn't appear to matter if you are willing to split up. Even though it wasn't crowded...it doesn't matter. Do not ever make the mistake of finishing a drink before you order a new one. Our intent was 1,000% to order drinks once our 6th friend showed up. We just never got the chance to order, throw our cans away or anything. It was a strange series of events and reminded me of when I was in college at closing time getting yelled at by the bouncers to "get out". I'm a 53 year old CPA and have never been kicked out of a place EVER (besides bar closing time when I was 21 LOL). We never got to experience the food there. But I can say that Wild Bill's Sports Saloon delivered delicious food very quickly and it turned out to be a great meal anyway. So I recommend Wild Bill's as it's just a couple blocks away if you are looking to actually get served.

Yelp
Atmosphere: This is a hotel restaurant. However, it tried to be modern and got stuck somewhere in the middle. The gold mirrors on the ceiling were an interesting touch from the 80s and 90s. Bites: I ordered the parmesan polenta. Never again. The polenta was bland. It is topped with an overcooked poor excuse for an omelet. That's topped with some kind of sausage tomato green onion stuff with a sauce that tried to give this dish some kind of taste. Failed! Then the potatoes...think fried Styrofoam. Tasteless. Only the pre-made dressing for the side salad was good. Cleanliness: This place has these table toppers that I took a picture of. It's covered in some kind of sticky something. There are no bathrooms for the restaurant. Service: Not good. No host to seat anyone. Then one came running up. The manager didn't seat anyone but was sitting at the bar on her laptop. Our server, Malcolm, forgot my drink. Then, it took about 10 minutes to take our food order. Never checked to see how we liked the food. Overall, I wouldn't come back here for anything. There wasn't anything good here. I don't recommend this place.

Yelp
Great food and service. Twigs has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. They also have a pretty big menu to choose from which includes an entire gluten free menu as well!

Yelp
While I immensely appreciate the Gluten free menu, I am sad to report I didn't love this restaurant. First, the atmosphere is nice although lighting is dark and the decor is dark which was less appealing to me. Next, the service. I found the service to be good overall. The server came right away to see what I wanted to drink and established that I am on a GF diet. He returned to the table with 2 Brazilian bites, which was a nice touch. As for my meal, I ordered the chicken trio with a risotto cake and tomato, served 3 different ways (a fresh slice, baked and I'm honestly not sure of the third way). Let me say I had high hopes for this dish! The server told me the white cream sauce was to die for. So, I was a little disappointed when my meal came and it was much smaller than I would have expected for $17. The sauce was good, he was right, although there are so many things I would change about this dish if I had made it myself. Maybe sun dried tomatoes for a little tang, maybe some shiitake mushrooms or something to gourmet it up a little, considering the price. I'm not sure if I will return although I did appreciate the extensive menu and commitment to providing us folks with Gluten allergies a place to dine.

Yelp
Very nice place, contemporary great service, the location isn't the greatest, a bit of a walk to Mayo but we sat outside in their patio and its very cool. I recommend the BLT.

Yelp
I made a reservation here for our anniversary and it was every bit as lovely as I'd hoped. The patio dining area was the perfect way to spend a summer evening, our waiter was knowledgeable/attentive & the food was incredible. I'd recently been diagnosed with celiac & heard from someone else with the disease that Twigs had two kitchens, one entirely gluten-free. The menu is huge & the seasonal cocktails were fun. My husband ended up ordering from the GF menu as it pretty much was the same (minus one item). He loved it too!

Yelp
We've been eating here for years and sadly Twigs isn't what it once was. Not a single order has been right for the last 4-5 times and we've had to wait to get things fixed while everything else got cold. Last night was especially bad when the manager was rude and condescending when we asked about an order for someone with us with an allergy. So sad that things aren't what they once were even just a few months ago.
