The moment I walked in, I immediately felt the vibe. The best part was that I got access to the Wi-Fi right away, which I was looking for. The bartender was friendly, and I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere.

Google
What an amazing bar experience. I cannot express how considerate they are here with the service. Norell is quite literally the best bartender I have ever had in my life. I was a Marine and I have gone to bars all over the world and not a single place has offered service that matches this man, Norell. Low price drinks with an amazing vibe. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you are in Deep Ellum. It isn’t club vibes, but they offer amazing chill vibes for a good night out. If you end up having Norell as your bartender, consider yourself blessed. This man is breaking the stigma of the “rude bartender” feeling you get a lot of times in bars (ESPECIALLY in Deep Ellum). Come to this place if you don’t want the club vibes of every other bar here in Deep Ellum!!!

Google
This was a great accidental find! We found it pretty early in the day so there were very few people. But it was exactly what we needed after a day of travel. The bartender was very welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxed. Next time we visit, we’ll try the patio.

Google
Deep Ellum bar and music venue. Casual, with a laid back and old school vibe (think late 80's hole in the wall) music was hoppin and drinks were just fine, not overly crowded, with a great nix of people. Friendly staff and service. Come fir the live show, stay for the vibe, if u rock n roll

Lynn

Google
We walked for a while trying to find a chill place for drinks with a nice ambiance and no cover charge. I’m so glad we found this place! We had an amazing time and made lots of friends.

Erin Auchterlonie

Google
Lovely bartender here - she was super helpful for a lost little traveller 😋 but seriously, nice and helpful in choosing a beer from an unfamiliar selection offering testers to help me choose. I went with the Texas Lager and highly recommend it for the tourists who want a lighter beer. Great atmosphere and happy people for an early Friday hour

Nathaniel James

Google
Bar staff were great, drinks were excellent and loved the 80s music. Totally fit the vibe.

Great spot loved every second

Yelp
Best live bands and the most kind, intentional bartenders I've ever met. You gotta go!

Zack G.

Yelp
A dive bar in the heart of Deep Ellum, amazing live music, with NO COVER! I don't know if they always have music but we were here late on a Saturday night and the bluesy band performing was incredible. The bouncer caught us do a double take when we heard the music and we were in there in a heartbeat when he said there was no cover. After about 20 minutes the whole place was packed, standing room only. We only ordered a couple beers but there was a good selection of local stuff on draft.

Sammie H.

Yelp
Great service and the atmosphere is amazing! I went for my birthday and the place was crazy busy, met new people

Ashley R.

Yelp
Super friendly staff and nice chill bar during the day. I haven't gone at night but the drinks were good!

Tonyia F.

Yelp
Cool and calm dive bar where you can just chill and vibe. Bartender made specialty drinks, provided excellent service and drink prices were super reasonable. The outside patio was real chill, wish the music was just a tad bit louder. Music selections was a variety of everything. Older mellow crowd right in the middle of chaos, which was perfect for me.

Melissa Rose H.

Yelp
This spot reminds me a lot of New Orleans, which is a great compliment (I love NOLA). Parking in Deep Ellum is pricy, but worth it because I have found Uber pickup is always a mess in this neighborhood. Love the late evening outdoor vibes on the patio as the place gets more full throughout the night.

Rosann M.

Yelp
I love coming to this bar, the ambiance and the service is the vibe! I would recommend a frozen coffee here, it's amazing! I've never had a frozen coffee alcoholic drink taste as good! I would recommend Elliot as the bartender, he does an amazing job!

Sheldon W.

Yelp
I looked this place up on google which stated they had a patio in the back that would allow me to smoke cigars. Upon arrival I had a cigar in hand and there were only two customers inside. I stood at the front door to ask the bartender behind the bar if they had an area to smoke. He quick told no and to "get out of here with that." Confused because I could clearly see the back patio, I asked again and was told "no." The customer at the bar pointed to the back patio. So a third time I asked about the backed patio. The bartender the stated, "yes, I have a patio if you run through. Which I did do. Once I got to the back I seen ash trays at every table on the patio so I knew smoking was a normal occurrence there. I was looking forward to relaxing and having a few drinks here but because of the lack of customers service as if I did not belong there I chose to go elsewhere. Unfortunately I would not recommend this bar.

Yelp
Thursday nights at Twilite lounge are where it's at. Im from Austin and the regulars and staff are so welcoming. It's a safe place if you're looking for a good time. Reen and Norell are amazing and great bartenders. Come here if you're looking for a great time!

Yelp
Get the frozen Irish coffee! It was the best drink I've had in awhile. The crunchy coffee grounds on top make it. The service from Lora was great!

Stephen A.

Yelp
Great place to have a drink listen to some music and make new friends. Great atmosphere wasn't overcrowded for a Friday night had a immaculate vibe and they even had gender neutral bathrooms. Bartenders were helpful and attentive and super friendly.

jess f.

Yelp
i don't care about the saints and i hate karaoke but i will say that i'm happy twilite has managed to stick around in the neighborhood despite essentially all of the other long standing bars shutting down. would recommend if you're looking for a place to grab a basic drink and sit on a patio away from the chaos that has become deep ellum.

Alexa B.

Yelp
Get the Irish frozen coffee but add peanut butter screwball! LoLo recommended this and it was amazing!

Michael L.

Yelp
This is my type of bar! Very cool design and decor. Great music and great seating. Also the bar tender was really cool and helped with cocktail selection

Rick B.

Yelp
Hole-in-the wall dive bar in Hipster-Central Depo Ellum! Nothing fancy in ghe Twilight Lounge; just an old fashioned pub. Limit your mixed drinks to 2 ingredients to avoid overwhelming the bartender. But the bar is well-stocked, and the casual vibe is a welcome relief from the frenzied prep-school polish of many Deep Ellum bars! Def stop here for an Irish Coffe; frozen from a machine - it is perfect. PERFECT. If you want more Irish Whiskey in yours to make it kick harder - Jameson awaits behind the bar! Sadly; the frozen Jack & Coke is no longer available. Or at least it wasn't last night. That concoction would've really brought out the trailer-trash element! Hah!

Mike D.

Yelp
They sell Malort. 5/5 Only adding more text so that this post counts as a review rather than a tip. They have an interesting bathroom I guess. Stickers of the Fyre Fest guy are on the wall.

Sarah S.

Yelp
I. LOVE. TWILITE! There is no other bar in the Deep Ellum area like Twilite. It is a very laid back and relaxing bar and by the way, they have the BEST frozen coffee drinks. Seriously y'all, it's like drinking a Frappuccino but with alcohol. While you are there, I highly recommend trying out that drink! I wish I caught the name of the bartender who was working this past Saturday afternoon because he was so friendly and provided my group of friends with exceptional service. They also have an outdoor patio, and it is PERFECT on a warm, sunny day! Highly recommend Twilite, they are wonderful!

Marina R.

Yelp
Our bartender was so so nice. She was working on a Sunday afternoon. We came in for drinks and wedding planning. The wells were only $3 each. The seating was really cute, they had booths inside and out back they had a patio area with chairs. At night its lit really nicely. On this afternoon there were only about 2 other groups of people there, and the vibe was so chill. I will definitely come back , i felt extremely welcomed. & thats important to me. Thanks, Twilite. Xo.

Eric K.

Yelp
First time at this place, lured in by the jazz/reggae band. Upon entering the acoustics were a bit off so unfortunately the band sound a lot like noise but you could tell they were really good. We decided to sit outside because the bar wait was too long. We ended up waiting a bit outside anyway but after that the service was great. It was a little hot but for the most part it was a good spot to be in the middle of all the action but still be able to carry on a conversation. We will be back! Had a good time :)

Foster C.

Yelp
The best spot in deep ellum. Down to earth but cool. Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Lots of good memories from that joint.

Mitchy M.

Yelp
Twilite Lounge is a popular spot in the Deep Ellum neighborhood. For me, I have the best times there Sunday-Thursday nights. That's when it's not as crowded and you can really appreciate the space. Depending on the night, you might get a chance to listen to Lee Fields & The Expressions on the juke box or you might hear live music, possibly with a karaoke twist. Either way, Twilite has a smooth sultry feeling that is best enjoyed in person than reading about on my review. Space on the patio is a premium, so if you get a table with your friends, cherish it. Parking is Deep Ellum normal.

Hannah P.

Yelp
Love this place! I live down the street and can walk to it. It's pretty much the perfect bar for any occasion. Not sure why it is showing closed, it definitely isn't!

Hayden B.

Yelp
Simply my favorite bar in Deep Ellum for all the best reasons: - Always can count on great live/local music, usually in the Americana/blues/rock direction. - No overwhelming list of beers or craft cocktails-- just a solid selection and bartenders you can trust. - Vintage Deep Ellum space with that raw feel. The booths are comfortable booths and the back patio is larger than you might expect. - Manages to be cool but not pretentious. Not theme-y or overly concepted. A place you can fall into whether you're on a date or with a group of buddies. One significant complaint though (no one's perfect). The 1-in-1-out bathroom is a serious struggle when it's busy. Otherwise, keep doing what you do Twilight and chase that money, ok? ;)

Kristie A.

Yelp
Deep Ellum gets another new bar, and I'm thrilled. Finally checked it out last night and I liked it. It has a nice bar area with comfy seats. Plenty and plenty of booze. There are booths on the back wall that looked cozy. They have a patio too that I didn't get to check out, but will soon. I like that this place is not super loud, they have a cool juke box, and the Rangers were on the TV last night. Welcome to the 'hood. Can't wait to get to know you better.

Elvira S.

Yelp
Super awesome service. Small place but they don't make you feel small! AMAZINGLY CHEAP DRINKS!!!!! Come have a great time off $20!

Eve K.

Yelp
Cool spot in the Deep Ellum district for a few drinks. 4.5 stars. Highlights: - Ambiance: red leather couches, chandelier, and study in the back. LOVED the decor. Also had a patio out back - Service: nice, helpful, chill bartender - Drinks: interesting menu on the chalkboard - Music: jukebox which is always fun Lowlights: - Moscow Mule was just ok and no copper mugs which are so standard these days Liked stopping here a lot. It was mellow in the afternoon and would return to check it out at night.

Amber E.

Yelp
While on a bar crawl I stopped in here. The first bartender was easily (understandably) overwhelmed but was irritable and rude. We were ready to tab out and leave. Then Andrew showed up. This dude is awesome. Very chill and personable, great energy, great at his job. He shared some of the chicken salad his wife made for him because we said we were hungry. He brought out snacks, let us sample some of the signature drinks. Totally made up for the 1st awful experience.

Marie T.

Yelp
This bar is located in a pretty busy area, but the bar wasn't too busy. It had a moderate number of people and I was able to get a drink quickly. Drinks are very well priced, and tasty too! Paloma for $7? Not bad. The atmosphere is kind of like a gypsy dive bar. Plenty of hipsters frequent here, based on my visit. My friends and I sat towards the back where there are some lounge chairs. It was VERY DARK. There is also an outside patio towards the back but it was very crowded, so we didn't get to check it out. Our primary reason for this visit was to see some live music, but the performer was scheduled to go at 10 PM. We felt like that was way too late, and there were no opening acts. Not sure if this is a regular thing, but maybe it's to cater the younger crowd? I don't know about y'all but if a concert starts at 10 PM I'm not coming. Overall, this wasn't a bad spot to check out in Deep Ellum. I wouldn't mind coming here again for a drink.

Dana J.

Yelp
One of the best little spots in Deep Ellum, it's a particular favorite when day drinking on a Saturday! If Elliott is behind the bar, order a cocktail - he's a pro at slinging excellent drinks!! You'll get great service too!! Love drinking the Ruby Red, and there's always a frozen coffee drink ready to go as well!! Husband likes the Dirty Paloma. Patio out back, fun crowd, a "must stop" when bar hopping!!!

Dacia B.

Yelp
Tampons, hairspray, lotion, and peppermints in the lady's bathroom....this is the main reason I'll be returning to this bar. Tequila shot=good Coffee drink=good Bar tender=good Atmosphere=good Bathroom= Heaven

Candy R.

Yelp
How the heck did it take me so long to visit this place?! Not only do they have a kick ass jukebox, the beer selection is like pretty daing fantastic. Live bands and a good size patio towards the back, divey as f&$k. Awesome employees and great atmosphere. See you soon!

Zachary A.

Yelp
Live music and simple beer and liquor list. Prices exact same as rest of street but inside had a more sensible divey feel. Outdoor area for lounging and indoor for dancing. Tight entrance so definitely could be issue if band is popular, but overall a nice spot for a Friday night.

Venus C.

Yelp
I've had Twilite bookmarked for quite some time. Fortunately, a group of my Yelp friends met here Saturday around 6pm. The place was fairly empty. Feeling adventurous, I told the bartender I wanted something sweet & non-carbonated. He hooked me up with a great drink. After everyone had a drink in hand, we headed to the outdoor patio area. It was just a tad cold that evening but the heated lamps in the outdoor patio area made it very comfortable. The ladies' restroom at Twilite was quite impressive. It had all the toiletries without an attendant and extremely clean for a bar. Upon closing my tab, I was shocked at how inexpensive the drinks were. I will definitely return to Twilite!

Phillip B.

Yelp
I really couldn't figure the vibe the first couple of times I went in. Walk in the door. Look to the right. A casting couch awaits you. Look up. You'll see the typical unfinished ceiling adorned with ceiling fans and a couple of cool chandeliers. Look down and you'll find a decently etched concrete floor just waiting for feet and spilled drinks. Over to your right you'll find the wall is lined with "diner booths". Check out the walls. Bricks and antique wall paper decorated with pictures of Jazz and Blues artists and other treasures, like a picture of Burt from Deliverance. Take your gaze and feet straight back to the end of the room by the bookcase. Open the awaiting door to a really cute and comfy patio. Welcome to the Twilight Lounge. Beers are cold and reasonably priced. Wells are not watered down and decently priced. Bad attitude is not welcomed here. All flavors of the rainbow are. Live music, karaoke, friendly staff, and, the best juke in DE. It's all right here folks. All, under this one roof.

Ben E.

Yelp
Put a twinkle in your eye Yet another excellent addition to Deep Ellum has arrived. Twilite Lounge is a great bar for when you are in a convivial mood wanting to sing, dance or hear a great band with a lively group of people. The main room is large with chandelier and stage/living room set up. The back patio is probably the best ground level patio in Deep Ellum, full of shade and tables. Most of all, the bartenders know how to properly keep up with demand and after a few visits will probably know what drink to start preparing for you on sight. At least the do with me (maybe I do have a problem). Plus they have wait staff that will serve you if you're in a booth or out on the patio. No need to rush the bar. The musical acts that show up are varied, check their calendar online. My favorites are the Freeloaders, they carry a jazzy New Orleans beat and a raspy tune. Spontaneous dancing has been known to happen. Come on Thursdays for possibly the most creative karaoke night in Dallas. The KJs will dress up and do all sorts of antics to get people up on stage to release their inner rockstar. I especially like the color commentary and awards presentations. The stars come out at Twilite

LaKeshia S.

Yelp
I went here for a friend's birthday. We got there around 10. It was not so happening and the music playing wasn't jazz. The live band started around 10:30. The decor seemed ok. It was dark, the couches were comfortable, the cocktail I ordered was great. We had a great waiter. The restroom was clean. They have a HUGE patio! It was already packed. They don't serve food here so eat before you get here. Once the band started playing, the atmosphere was much better. Also they have BOARD GAMES! We played connect four! I would come back just to play the board games and have the Nola Pimm's cocktail!

Devon A.

Yelp
Nice place. Good bar with a decent selection of whisky and beer. It is NOT a cigar lounge, for some reason people think that. Nice patio out back. Good place to drop in for a drink.

Alexis B.

Yelp
In a neighborhood of bars, Twilite Lounge doesn't stand out. Crowded. Typical selection of beers and wells and mixers. Of all the places we hit up on our night on the town a couple of weekends ago, Twilite was probably the least memorable. Not a bad bar, but you've got to be pretty good to stand out in Deep Ellum.

Kaia V.

Yelp
Wah Wahhhhhh Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! They USED to have a megatouch machine, but they got rid of it about a month into being open due to lack of use. Sadness!! Their happy hour is still great though, and they've added two new frozen drinks - an irish coffee, and a french 75. They will run you $6 each though, so watch out for that. Wells are $3 from 4-8pm.

Michelle J.

Yelp
3.5 Aside from the incredibly rude doorman, our visit to Twilite Lounge was nice. We went to listen to some live music and have a few drinks with friends. Although we arrived fairly early, the place was crowded. We lucked up and got a table and the waiter was very prompt and attentive. The atmosphere was casual with a diverse and lively crowd. I never used the restrooms because from our table I could see that the lines were incredibly long. Ultimately the location is perfect for bar hopping and great music. I'd return again in the future.

Austin S.

Yelp
I've been here twice, and I absolutely love this place. Andrew may be the best bartender I've ever met. Both times I've been, I've gone for the music, however his skill behind the bar is equally entertaining. The bar has one of the best patios in Dallas. One night it was empty, aside from Danny and a couple others. The other night it was packed full of people watching American Horror Story. While bizarre, it definitely led to en eclectic mix of people. Another huge bonus, is while the bar itself is small, they actually spent money on the sound system.

Brooke M.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! Great service, awesome vibes, an outdoor patio and a juke box with a great selection of tunes. This is a great spot to duck into if you want to go somewhere comfy and not so crowded.

Chrisy J.

Yelp
The ooonly thing not available, was food. Not an issue with several eateries nearby. Awesome staff an environment, def my new Sat night go to! Try the Irish Coffee.... Deep Ellum is back!

Shaun S.

Yelp
Easy. Breezy. Fun. Good drinks. Cool bartenders. There you have it! Twilite in a nutshell. Ahhh...yes...I guess you want a little more details...huh?! Well... I usually go on Thursday for the Good Luck Karaoke! That's the FUN. You don't have to know how to sing. I love it that you get the entire range of singers. All the way from hell naw you can't sing! To DAYUM you should be on America's Got Talent! Regardless of whether you can sing or not, you get the same amount of applause. Why? Because it is fun to cheer, clap, and chant! They have these really EASY couches. They are comfortable and beckon for you to get a really strong drink and chill for a while. The bouncer is really cool. He doesn't give you a hard time at the door. Again, EASY! They have one bar. But you don't have to wait too long for a drink. Again, EASY! Awesome patio! = BREEZY Food is not served. But, we had food from Stone Deck Pizza and they let us bring it in...no hassle, NADA. They have some cute lil twists on drinks. Dark and stormy, Ginger Mojitos, Frozen joints... **BONUS** The women's bathroom is to DIE for!!! If you are in Deep Ellum and you gotta use the ladies room...I don't care how many blocks you have to walk, get your booty to Twilite. Your yahoo will thank you for it.

Summer D.

Yelp
I was beginning to lose hope wandering around Deep Ellum that I would ever want to come back to the area. Then I wandered in here. Funky atmosphere. Good and attentive bartenders. Seems out of place for a city like Dallas. Happy hour from 4-8 daily. The bartender Andrew is definitely memorable and how nice to have a bartender actually ask if you like your drink and make suggestions. Cocktail menu didn't have alot of diversity but I know he'll whip you up something great if asked Jukebox in the corner played some oldies but goodies at a level low enough that you can have a conversation. I hear they have live music some nights. Casual and friendly clientale. Expect folks to bring you into their conversation if you're sitting at the bar. I didn't check out the patio because it is winter but there were lots of folks out there smoking. Very nice job in the CLEAN ladies room with all the goodies without the annoying attendant waiting for a tip. Figures I find this spot on one of my last days here. Go enjoy it for me a time or 2.

Maddie M.

Yelp
Courtney served us on a busy Saturday night, during our friends going away party. She was on point! Attentive, anticipatory, and always around when any of needed anything! She also gave us great drink recommendations! Thank you so much, Courtney!!

Kristy A.

Yelp
Great place to drink, but when I told the bouncer to call 911 because someone was having an epileptic seizure the bouncer said it wasn't his problem and that if I didn't call 911 it would be on me and not him. So I had to borrow some random persons phone since mine was dead to call the ambulance. What kind of establishment hires someone who doesnt care about another human being.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Great pub in deep ellum. Great beer choices with cool lil patio outback and a couple of tables out front. Just a few other day drinkers there on a Friday afternoon when I arrived. While out back many more folks seem to arrive just after 3 pm. Totally dog friendly! Think I met 5 dogs and that was INSIDE! LOL! I was in big D for the Toadies show. After sitting down with my 1st beer I heard a song from their new album. When getting my next beer ANOTHER Toadies song from 1995 played! And 15 mins later yet another! I was in Toadies heaven!Really dug the vibe of the place and peeps were so friendly and cool. Check it out next time you are in the area!

Lauren R.

Yelp
My absolute favorite bar in Deep Ellum! Their patio is quaint yet huge considering the area/layouts in Deep Ellum. They have live music almost every night - or so it seems. The women's restroom is always stocked with hairspray, mints, etc. - excellent customer service. If you're obsessed with Deep Eddy Grapefruit Vodka, like me, get the Ruby Twilite! I've tried just about every cocktail I've ever seen which includes Deep Eddy Grapefruit and theirs wins, hands down! They also have a great selection of local beers and their frozen coffee is bomb. I almost regret leaving this review and telling you about how amazing they are because Twilite Lounge is one of Deep Ellum's best kept secrets!

Mohamed A.

Yelp
Cool dog friendly patio, low key bar with hippie/hipster/hip clientele(many of them are regulars). Live music, good cocktails(according to a friend) ,relatively big selection of local beers and a 6 to 8 happy hour. Situated in an interesting neighborhood(Deep Ellum).
