Wow. Fresh bagels, breads, pastries and cream cheese. The Everything and Cheddar Old bay bagels were out-of-this-world. Everything seasoning on the top and bottom of the bagels; I’ve been looking for that for years. Thank you for the smiles and wonderful experience.

Hidden gem. Veggie sandwich was a genius flavor creation. Worth every dollar. Bagel with cream cheese was one of the best in Frederick and muffin was yummy. Coffee was eh but they did say they were working on brewing their own cold brew I believe. We will try that out next time. Coming back.

My wife and I booked Twin Bears to cater the sunday breakfast for our wedding weekend and we were so happy with how it turned out. The bagels are delicious (all sourdough, so make sure you like that style of bagel), the spreads are unique and tasty, and communicating with the staff was very easy. The owner was so friendly and kind. From booking to delivery to eating, the entire process was fantastic. Thank you!

Not our first visit, but our first time getting bagel breakfast sandwiches. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The bagels are just the right amount of crusty and chewy, and oh so fresh. We got the veggie sandwich on an everything bagel. They've put some thought into these flavors, the combination of pickled and fresh veggies, with pesto and cream cheese, is spot on. The smoked salmon on a triple sesame bagel with cream cheese and capers was absolutely decadent. They do not skimp on the salmon either. Sadly the coffee tasted old, and the two sandwiches took about 10 minutes to prepare, but absolutely worth the wait. The staff is so nice and helpful. And of course you HAVE to try the sourdough bread.

Delicious!!! We have been trying to visit for months and finally made it. Everything was super yummy! We bought lots to take home and enjoyed bagels and muffins in the shop. LOVE the selection of drinks in the cooler And the black coffee was delicious. So good and highly recommend this beautiful bakery.

Fantastic experience! Super family-friendly and the baked goods are to die for. Our favorites were the blueberry scones and bagels. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Frederick!

We stumbled upon Twin Bears recently and I’m sad it took me this long to find out about them! First, the layout is great. They have all of the offerings lined up and everything is baked fresh. Second, the team is always so helpful and provides great service. Third, the baked goods. WOW. One of the best bagels we’ve had is at Twin Bears. We are equal opportunity bagel connoisseurs, but the salted, plain, and Cheddar old bay are out of this world. They also offer muffins and other seasonal goods. And of course, the Sourdough. My son and I go every week now to get a loaf for the week. Love supporting this local business!!

You'll smell it before you walk in! Yummy bakery. Get there early as they are popular and probably sell out on some items early on. Staff is friendly. Bread is good. Coffee and drinks available. Visit the Frederick Soup and Comfort food joint across the street then hop over for a dessert and hot drink. This place is a Frederick gem.

If you love quality bread and pastries and a good story, pop into Twin Bears Bakery. A product of COVID, the two owners opened a full fledge bakery inside a historic mill after baking break out of their home during the pandemic. Now, guests can walk into a beautiful bakery filled with antiques from the original bakery. Behind glass are many bagel varieties from original to sesame. I went with their veggie bagel sandwich on a sesame, fennel, and poppyseed bagel. It was delicious! To go, I got their brown butter chocolate chip cookie and sesame bread. Both were delicious! They also sell drip coffee from a local roastery that's worth trying. If you love good food and baked goods done right, go here!

I was impressed with this place. We came late on a Sunday, so I don't think we got to see it in all its glory. But the muffin and bagel we got were good, and so was the loaf of Polish Rye. The owner also asked us how everything went, which was lovely. My husband is a Long Island bagel snob, and he said, "Good. Different from New York bagels, obviously. But good and obviously fresh." I asked, "So like The Maryland Bagel, the best it can offer with local grains and yeast and water?" He agreed.

Hands down the best bagels in Frederick! Every bagel is fresh, perfectly toasted, and full of flavor. Friendly staff and great vibe -- I keep coming back!

Finally, a bakery in the heart of downtown! Twin bears has been around for a while at local farmers markets, common market etc. but open their brick and mortar shop in January. For a bakery they have great hours as they are open until 4 most days. They have a variety of fresh baked breads (sourdoughs, rye, and others), bagels, sweets, and others. The inside is very clean and open as you can see all of the bakers and staff working diligently. The open concept is very inviting and the staff is always friendly. They have plenty of outdoor seating and the location has ample street parking. My only gripe is they do not have a grill so if you get a bagel you're really only limited to a cream cheese spread.

Stellar variety of baked goods. Super fresh and superb flavor profiles. Enjoyed the cheese bagels and herbed cream cheese. Service was speedy even though there was a queue. Very popular spot! Love seeing into the active bakery too, adds to the experience.

I stopped by shortly after their 6am opening to be welcomed by the aroma of fresh bread and bagels. Oh my! My choice: whitefish salad with red onions and capers on a still warm triple sesame sourdough bagel. Was it as good as it sounds? Oh my! I could not resist a chocolate cherry scone and a vegan chocolate chip cookie. A nibble of both tells me they are as twice as good as they looked. Oh my! They also serve smooth and robust Cannon Coffee, roasted in Hagerstown. Top notch! What a great addition to the Frederick County food scene. I can't imagine going for bagels anywhere else. PS: To the reviewer who docked this amazing bakery one star because he perceived they offered a limited variety of bagels, please note that the best bakeries make their goods FRESH DAILY and often SELL OUT of many things as the day wears on. For the best choices in a great bakery, ARRIVE EARLY. There were nearly a dozen tantalizing bagel flavors available here at opening. You snooze, you lose.

The best sourdough I've had--so fresh, chewy, and flavorful! I also tried a bagel with their fig cream cheese and it was absolutely amazing. You can really taste the care and quality in everything they make here. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole bakery has such a warm, inviting vibe. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

The setting looks splendid in this industrial area. I found the interior setup impractical; the barrier between staff and customer combined with the ambient noise made it hard to place an order, much less ask questions. I was also a tad disappointed that while they advertised bagels, they only had salt bagels and pumpernickel. Don't get me wrong, the pumpernickel was good, but it seems like a customer seeking bagels might want something other than two relatively fringe bagel varieties. The quality of what they had, also including an oatmeal loaf, was high, and I combined my bread with a variety of spread and dip options over the ensuing week to great effect.

Wow. What to get? We ended up getting salt bagels, a loaf of rustic wheat bread (sliced) and focaccia. All very fresh and delicious.

My family and I love coming to Twin Bears Bakery. We used to get their sourdough bread at the farmers market so we enjoy being able to get it anytime now. We also love their chocolate chip cookie. It's delish! The space is so nice and open as well and the service is great. We will be back.

Great bread and superior customer service. Stopped in with my elderly father and one of the owners offered conversation, bread knowledge and even a tour of their building. My dad lost his wife, my mom, of 61 years just a week earlier and we were both still emotional . The staff needs to know how much their kindness and patience meant to me. The bread is the best! I love sourdough and they know sourdough! I am very appreciative that one day I was trying to get there to purchase their wonderful sourdough rye bread before they closed. I called to say I was coming and they told me that they had the bread and to come even if I was going to get there past 4 pm: they would keep the door open. I arrived a few minutes past 4 and was able to get the bread. The rye is baked with nigella seed which I just love! Ambiance is simple and friendly: good people, good product.

We love it here! Their bagels & scones are phenomenal. Our favorites are the everything rye bagel & the blueberry buttermilk muffins. Still waiting to try out their cookies that I heard are fantastic! The staff & owners are so kind as well, we love supporting them. Just keep in mind if you're early risers like us- in the early mornings they space out their bakes on a schedule so that they're fresh for the main time crowds (like 10am). But then you risk getting sold out if you go at that time too so have to play around with a good timing to go. Either way totally worth it :)

1st time customer. Great spot. In and out quickly. Small menu but big on taste/flavor. Great bagels, muffins and scones. I really recommend the scones- especially with a bit of Irish butter!

These bagels are like no other. The fermented sourdough make them light and fluffy. There is a nice variety to pick from, as well as toppings. Quite possibly my new favorite as I might start to crave them!

Late lunch time for a 1st visit. Bread selection was complete but muffins and bagels were gone. We picked two - spelt and olive oil and classic sourdough. Counter help was working on 1 st day at job, but others jumped right into teach so no delay at checkout. Will need to visit earlier in the day to do the full bakery experience.

Simply the best. The fresh bagels are the best in the area, crisp outside and tender inside. The cookies, holy cow! The scones, the whitefish salad, the cream cheese options - everything is delicious and top notch. Staff is always very helpful, welcoming and reliable. A bright, clean, welcoming streamlined space with a few tables to eat and easily accessible for carry out. Bravo!

Excellent place for bagels, baguettes, galettes and loaves of bread. I came on a Sunday afternoon and they had regular counter service with several fresh loaves on display. It was the end of the day so there were 3 plain bagels and a sesame seeded bagel-I bought the last ones, they were fresh and crusty and chewy awesomeness. Savory asparagus galettes were enjoyed later at home with a quick warmup in my toaster oven. Baguette (also the last one) was superb both for snacking on the way home and was great for dunking in soup. They have beverages and spreads for the breads, and it's a casual vibe. The staff are friendly and warm, and I was happy with what I had at 3:30...arrive early for the best selection of breads!

One of the best bakeries I've ever been to. We have tried their bagels, cookies, scones and muffins. Everything was absolutely delicious. I even think that their scones and muffins are the best I've ever had. The service is great as well. The owner chatted with us the first time we've visited and explained about the locally sourced ingredients. This bakery is an absolute gem and should not be missed by locals and tourists alike.

Twin Bears bread and bagels are spectacular. My favorite breads are olive oil loaf and the Miche. I partial to the pumpernickel but honestly everything is delicious. I find their products at Common Market, Sunday drops or Frederick Farmers Market. I can not wait for the new restaurant/store to open later this year!!

I discovered this wonderfully delicious bakery at the Sunday Frederick Farmers Market. I love anything sourdough and they do not disappoint! Their bagels are so good - chewy and crusty and just what I want! Their breads are outstanding. I was missing BreadFurst from DC but now I am happy. I hear they are opening a store front so yyiippppeeeee.
