Highland Park Patio Block Party Surprise Reopens After Pandemic Closure | Eater LA

"I note that Twisted Oak Tavern in Agoura Hills has closed as of Sunday, ending a more than decade-long run for the casual spot, while the Camarillo location remains open and continues pouring the group’s own and other locally brewed beers." - Farley Elliott

Google
What a great find! The food at Twisted Oak Tavern was absolutely delicious. I had the brisket burger and it was spot-on… Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and full of flavor. Easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. I also discovered a new favorite beer called Liquid Candy (Tarantula Hill Brewery) and the name says it all… It was smooth, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to enjoy (7.5ABV). The space itself is very clean and well maintained, with a modern, open layout that still manages to feel welcoming. The courtyard in the back is a standout. It gives off a cozy backyard BBQ vibe that makes you want to hang out a while. Service was great across the board very friendly, attentive, and fast. All around, Twisted Oak is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to when in town. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for great food, beer, and a relaxed atmosphere.

I’m officially hooked—these empanadas were beyond delicious! Beautifully plated, bursting with flavor, and totally addictive. Loved relaxing at the new high-top table out front. And can we talk about this gorgeous July weather in SoCal?! Pure bliss!

Our 40 year reunion was here and the venue service food didn't disappoint. Staff was on point.

The food was just okay. We ordered the pork belly for an appetizer, and it was mushy, and whatever sauce they used was overpowering. The Buffalo cauliflower was a big win. Delicious! My friend got the Twisted Oak burger and that was pretty good. Meat was seasoned well and cooked perfectly (meduim). We also ordered the triple mushroom Flatbread. It was a little bland with so much potential. The service could have been better. My friend ordered a side of aioli and it never came. Everytime we tried to order something, he walked away before we were finished talking! Strange. Oh and we ordered 4oz beer flights...BEWARE! It's about $5 per 4oz sample. Never had a place charge by the sample. If you can get past the mediocre food and eh service, it has a nice ambiance inside and out.

Google
Elevated tavern set in a moody industrial space with tall ceilings and ample seating both inside and out. The menu covers the brewpub basics but then goes over the top with entrees like their Stout Braised Beef Short Rib. The dish of succulent beef was rich in flavor, fork tender and bathed in a savory gravy that complimented it perfectly. The grilled salmon salad made a strong showing as well. The tart balsamic glaze coupled with the creamy ricotta cheese made for a symphony of flavor worthy of acclaim. I would be remiss if I failed to mention their vast selection of local craft beer on tap and hearty list of custom cocktails. Whether you're in the mood for a burger and fries or braised beef short rib, the Twisted Oak Tavern is sure to please your palate.

Google
Twisted Oak Tavern is an excellent place for both food and drinks, offering a unique mix of a restaurant and brewery. The menu has a wide variety of options, from creative appetizers to hearty main courses, and everything is well-prepared and flavorful. The craft beers brewed in-house are also a highlight, with plenty of choices to pair with your meal. The service is professional, friendly, and efficient. Staff are knowledgeable about the menu and always ready to recommend dishes or drinks that fit your taste.

Google
Good drinks, nice atmosphere, and food that is so good, my wife and I are already contemplating another 1.5 hour drive from home for another visit because there is still plenty to try on their menu! The braised short rib was amazing, and if you come in while it is still Oak-toberfest (Server Jonah made that joke and I thought it was perfect), you need to try the pork schnitzel with the mushroom gravy, it was spectacular.

Google
When we ate Camarillo was pretty empty so we could just walk in and get a table. Nice looking place. Service was ok. The Diablo chicken spicy sandwich was excellent as were the fries. Drinks were strong.

Yelp
Well - the funniest part is my wife and I don't go out to dinner frequently; but when we do, my wife is all about the deals. For Twisted Oak, we have been a few times recently and want to provide some feedback - which is all positive. The Happy Hour is the way to go when possible as they have a very generous meal. The carnitas and fish tacos are surprisingly good and big and delicious. You get 2 pretty big tacos that will definitely fill you up relatively quickly. They also have a flatbread - with two or three options - that are really good. The Happy Hour drink prices are very good as I believe it's like $2-$3 off of draft beers and $3-$4 off for mixed/well drinks. My wife likes the skinny spicy margaritas and I am a fan of their beer selection. The staff is always very kind and accommodating and will work with you on finding what you want to eat or drink. My favorite menu item hands down is the peanut butter and bacon jelly burger. This burger is probably one of my favorite burgers all around. Unfortunately, it is not on the Happy Hour Menu, but it is worth paying whatever they want to charge you. Twisted Oak has a very spacious inside and a fun, eclectic patio that they share with the wine bar place, a few doors down. Please make sure and check them out and support a good local business.

Yelp
Three star rating for the following reasons. Pros: 1. The waitress was nice and attentive 2. The flat bread was good Cons: 1. The water taste like literal ass - I don't drink anything else so I ate without any liquid 2. They took the best item off the menu - they used to have this amazing salmon dish with little potatoes and this yummy Au just. It's gone 3. They put like 2 oz (if that) of chicken in their loaded nachos. It's. Not. loaded.

Yelp
3.4 stars- I want to be fair - CSUCI Grad weekend :/ Very slow service. It took such a long time to just get to order our food then to get the food .. all together over two hours. I understand, I get it sometimes people call out but this was bad. Very bad. It's a big restaurant and it was not packed from what I could see. They had live music ! A plus! I just felt like they kept saying sorry but didn't truly care because they'd say ... "We have a few graduations." Then forget about us. We should've left as we weren't really tended to. We were so patient. After all the waiting they wanted to charge $1 per person to cut the cake brought for our grad. Our own plates and utensils were brought. We didn't need staff to cut it as a Bundt and pretty easy to do by us. It's a cool place, very spacious with tons of seating but definitely understaffed. It is locally owned , so I do not want to be too rough with my review. Food was ok. I just had nachos and two beers. The beers were super cold which is a plus. My friends liked their meals. I'd return in the future and update my review if I have a better experience :) An automatic 18% gratuity is added despite the level of service for large groups. Please be aware and understand that service charge.

Yelp
My Fiance found this place on a trip up north. Glad we stopped by. That thick cut rueben sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Messy but really tasty. She got the PB and J burger and she really liked it. The flatbread was also good. Nice combination of flavors with the flatbread. Will deftly be back here if i am in the Oxnard area

Yelp
Have lived in Camarillo for 33 years and just found out about Twisted Oaks Tavern. What a find! We had a fantastic experience thanks to our waiter, Jonah. He was extremely attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Drinks were refilled quickly, food recommendations were spot-on, and they checked in often without being intrusive. Excellent service from start to finish. Great ambiance. Highly recommend dining here--and ask for Jonah if you can!

Yelp
Yelp for the win- again! Visiting for wedding with family and don't know the area. Wanted a place which fit all of our guests dietary issues. Julie was our server and she made us feel so welcome and valued. Menu and cocktails are innovative and enticing. We had our own room in the front, but admired their quaint secret backroom. Please order the herb fries as an appetizer! Pork belly sliders were also a hit. Amazing evening- great for large groups. EXCELLENT service and value for yummy food.

Yelp
A group of 14 looking for a spot to have a celebration dinner and conversation. Twisted Oak was the perfect spot. They held the back room for us - fairly private and fairly quiet. I ordered the mushroom flatbread ($16). My wife got the forager burger ($18.50). Both were delish! Despite being a large group, Julie, our server, got all the orders correct. Our water glasses were kept full. Service was excellent.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place. Not sure why we waited so long to try it out. We had fish n chips, I loved the hand cut fries- and the coleslaw. I had the Saigon wraps- chicken and an amazing spicy peanut sauce. We also had the potato skins. Listen this place isn't fancy (not overly casual) but what they do, they're doing right. We will be regulars here now.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place! I've been here many times! My family went this evening, a Monday night. We sat on the back patio. My truly favorite place to sit! The decor is wonderful, twinkle lights, market lights strung all over. Little plants and funky, cute items hung on the wall. Ok, enough about the patio. The food was delicious! I had the tuna melt. Best tuna salad in so long! My husband had the Hawaiian pizza and not a bite was left! My daughter had the special, Diablo Chicken salad. Very spicy and huge! She took half of it home and I get it for lunch tomorrow! Yay! Our server, Samantha, was really outstanding! She came back several times and made sure we had everything we need. I was very impressed! Highly recommended!!

Yelp
First time here, and I must say I had a pretty good experience. I met up with friends for food and drinks. The dining area is large and spacious, with ample seating at the long bar. This particular night they had live music by way of a guitarist singing a wide variety of songs, classic to modern with a country to old rock take of each song. It wasn't too loud, the music was tasteful, and the ambiance was relaxing. The service was fast and friendly, with our waitress seemingly being one of our party whenever she arrived. She did a great job reading the table and the need. She was never interrupting but rather added to the conversation. The loaded nachos were filling, coating my stomach like your typical bar food. They were neither soggy nor greasy, but rather crunch and tasty. This place lost points on the weirdly flavored creme brûlée that had strawberry Nesquick powder on top. The powder was unnecessary and left an oddly synthetic strawberry flavor. Most importantly for a bar is their decent beer selection. I got a flight of beers to sample 4 of their wide selection. They have a few beers of each type from local breweries. Overall it was a good time with good buddies. Well that's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.
google avatar

Craig M.

Yelp
My buddy and I had the Twisted Oak and PB&J burgers (we split so we could try both) with salad, fries and pretzel appetizer with killer dipping sauces and I had a lemonade. All were fresh and top notch! We were created and treated extremely well throughout our visit. The inside was very clean and comfortable with great music playing as well as the Dodger game up on a few monitors. Really enjoyed my time there and will definitely be back.

Yelp
Not bad, wings were marginal and the fries were cold and stale. Roomy place with lots of TVs maybe good place to catch a game. Good selection of beers on tap. Service marginal

Yelp
One of my go to spots! Love the live music on Friday and Saturday's a nice add to Camarillo. Food and drinks always good!

Yelp
Julie our server went above and beyond to make sure our large party was seated comfortably together. She kept everyone's drinks refreshed even though she was busy with other tables. The ambiance is lovely and you can watch sports inside. It wad decorated festively for Halloween. They also have outdoor seating with umbrellas for groups . with fur babies . My mahi mahi sandwich with ceasar salad was wonderful. My friends loved the potato skins, fish and chips, french dip and salads. Great place we will return.

Mike M.

Yelp
We eat at Twisted Oak fairly often. We just had a great meal and an attentive server (Sydney) last night. Pricing was in line or better than other options in Camarillo. Food was really good. Also, special mention for the Creme Brule. It was excellent.

Yelp
I decided to try the Twisted Oak Tavern today. This watering hole has a great feel inside and outside. Tiffany (my server and bartender) let me know that Twisted Oak hosts live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. The decor is unique with reclaimed wood tastefully placed and flat panel tv monitors in good supply. I ordered a Barbeque Salmon and Beet Salad to go with Tiffany's signature Long Island Iced Tea. The salmon was prepared full of flavor and appropriate textures. The Long Island was mixed to perfection. I have to one-up Goldilocks - everything was much, much better than "just right." For dessert, Tiffany presented a Crème Brûlée (Yummers) accompanied with her special Tiffany Imbibing Creation (It's so good you gotta be kidding me!) to drink. Before leaving, I paid the bill with (what I believe is a TIP suitable for Tiffany) and noticed Twisted Oak is a pet-friendly establishment. Why should all Fifis and Fidos wait in the car while all the Hildas and Gregs have all the fun? When you get a chance, stop by and see Tiffany. She's absolutely the best!

Yelp
I'm getting married today in Camarillo and I picked twisted oak tavern to have our rehearsal dinner here. Jeff the owner was so easy to work with and plan the party. Our servers Julie and Sydney were phenomenal!!! I've been in the hospitality industry for 18 years and have an obnoxiously high expectation for service and they surpassed my expectations. Food was delicious and plenty of options for beer, wine and liquor. Only beer they need to add is Far Field and their beer selection would be complete! We had a private back patio area that was perfect for a large party. Everything was perfect and I'm excited to go back soon for dinner and drinks.

Yelp
At first glance we were "uh ohh" mode. The building where Twisted Oak was looked pretty quiet (not a lot of patrons). Upon our arrival we were greeted by the hostess. She immediately sat us down. The tables were 1/2 capacity with a large group in the private area. You could smell the food being cooked and it smelled soooo good! The interior was kind of eclectic. Waitress Sydney took our order. We ordered the thick sliced Ruben, and pork belly appetizer, Sydney recommended the balsamic dip for our pork belly. Our order came out pretty quick. The Ruben was looking good and the fries were sooo delicious. We then tried the pork belly appetizer, I totally agree with our waitress, the balsamic was so good. When we finished our meal the restaurant got busy, we know why. THE FOOD When I'm in the area I now know WHERE I'm stopping Twisted Oak Tavern and Gastropub

Yelp
We had a big party after the art show and this place was recommended. We all ordered a ton of food & drinks. The Brussels sprouts were fabulous. The Twisted Fries were yummy. The Mac & cheese balls were good but the sauce was spicy. The spinach artichoke dip was yummy but too runny. My guy and I split the chimichurri steak sandwich & the Cuban sandwich. There was hardly any chimichurri sauce on that sandwich. The Cuban was better. And they nickel & dimed us for sauces(per the menu). We all split the key lime cheesecake which was just ok, not very limey and the donut bread pudding which was super good. It was a long meal almost 3 hours. But I think the shift change of the servers lengthened it out or the lack of staff. We did have to wait quite awhile to order dessert and get our check.

Kelly M.

Yelp
Twisted Oak Tavern is an absolute amazing dining experience. My husband and I live an hour and a half away. We drove to Camarillo to go to the Imaginarium and decided we wanted to try a new restaurant. Wow! I am terribly jealous that our town doesn't have a restaurant at this skill level. Our waiter was one of the nicest human beings we've ever met. The atmosphere of the building is really neat. The lighting was perfect for me, kind of dim but still had plenty of natural light. The main event of the review is the food! I am one of those psychopaths that like to dissect the menu before I visit an establishment, and I looked over this menu for about a week. Both my husband and I knew exactly what we wanted, we had a game plan! We walked inside and to our surprise it was October fest (which really should be Oaktoberfest.) They had a specialized menu for the occasion and this threw a wrench in our well thought out plan. Immediately, my husband saw that they were serving pork schnitzel. I knew in my heart I lost him....we weren't sharing the beer braised short ribs anymore. Now we had 2 dishes to share, sure it was more expensive but now we have left overs baby! Anyway the pork schnitzel was delicious. The crunch of breading was perfect, the cutlet was moist ::insert more culinary impressive words here::. The beer braised short ribs blew my mind! Absolutely delicious. Fork tender. Definitely give this dish a try! We did try two Appitizers (we had a game plan! I'm telling you, we went way off track) The buffalo cauliflower was the best I've ever had, and I will get that anywhere that offers it. The Saigon sliders were amazing. Look, I don't write food reviews... I can only say delicious and amazing so many times. Do yourself a favor and go try their food. It will change your life. I promise. Also, the jalapeño strawberry margarita (both of them ) gave me the courage to write this review. Which that drink was amazing too! I barely drink alcohol and I loved it! Our lovely waiter said "do you want another one?" And I know me, my husband knows me. I should of said no. I said yes before he could process what I said yes too. I think I drink once a month ...maybe and thats usually half a can of a hard seltzer. I drank both of these margaritas pretty fast and camarillo is now my favorite place. OH! Also the TV in the bar plays trivia! Seriously?! What more could you want???

Edward S.

Yelp
Really fun place to hang out with family members who enjoy beer. Great music, the artist nailed it! Enough people having fun, but not too crowded.
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
This is one of our go-to spots for happy hour. The beer selection is great and they always have a cider available for my husband, who's an avid cider drinker. Small plates and specials are insanely good. Food is hot and fresh, not only does it taste incredible, but it's visually stunning. This is always a plus for me, as we eat with our eyes first! The flatbreads have flavor and great crust. The Bread pudding is indulgent and magical. Try it and you'll understand. Vibe is chill. You could come here for a relaxed evening or special occasion. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. Service is top notch. I look forward to trying special brunch menus or other event coming up. Will happily return.

Yelp
Amazing food, service, and environment! A group of friends and myself frequently go out to dinner on Friday nights in Camarillo. We are always looking for a place that is open late for food and there are not very many in Camarillo. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is excellent, and our server was amazing.

Yelp
I've never written a review before but after the AMAZING SERVICE by Julie that changes tonight! She puts the ATE in dinner dATE. She was so friendly and welcoming. As for the food it was delicious, my first visit here and it did not disappoint. It was so good I forgot to take pictures of our entrees! As for the dessert Julie recommended her fav the flourless chocolate cake and just like her service it was fantastic! 100/10 recommend :)

Samantha R.

Yelp
We rented the patio area for our high school reunion and I cannot say enough good things about Tiffany, who coordinated this for us. She was absolutely awesome. From handling the details to offering help, when needed, she made sure that our event was the best it could be. Our servers were phenomenal! Nicole, Natalie, & Sydney were, not only attentive, but so much fun! The patio is rather rustic, so we kept it casual; which was the perfect vibe for our group. We had appetizers and then a taco bar and got great feedback that the food was delicious and everyone had the best time. I can't say enough good things about how we were served and will definitely consider Twisted Oak for future events!!

Robert J.

Yelp
Marginal food, rude bartender. Came there for some dessert the other day and ordered at the bar. Nothing big, a couple slices of pie. The gal running the bar was disinterested at best, but that's ok. She brought us our drinks out our check down, I signed it and left a tip, and then the wait began. 20 minutes later I asked if she might be able to check on our alices of pie because it had been a while. She said "I'm stuck here and too busy to do anything about it." I was shocked to say the least. Fortunately for me she also had been "too busy" to pick up our check so I zeroed out the tip and just resigned myself to wait. Food came a out 10 min later so probably 30 min in total after ordering two slices of pie. Food was "fine." Nothing special. (Edit: Seemed to us to be standard Sysco pies but the management says that it's all made in house. Since I don't know any differently I'm going to have to retract that assertion in fairness. ) Spent $34 total for those two slices and a beverage. Could have gone to Costco and bought two entire pies of better quality for less. I could have enjoyed the food if we were treated nicely. Someone else we were with ordered the coconut shrimp by the way, and said it was very good, but again it seemed to me to be a frozen product. (edit: Managment says it's all made in house so again I'm going to have to defer to that and believe what they say.) As I said, it really wasn't bad at all and the place is really pretty. It was more about the service than anything else. I mean let's be real...with few exceptions, anything you can get dining out you can eat at home for a quarter of the price, so the whole reason for going out is the service and experience.

Yelp
Hubby and I had an early dinner at Twisted Oak. The food and martini's were delicious. I ordered a Twisted Oak burger and an espresso martini. Hubby had the West Coast Cuban sandwich and a gin martini with Sapphire. All were wonderful. The service was top notch and friendly. The ambiance is adorable. The decor and seating was amazing. I highly recommend this establishment.

Yelp
Located in Camarillo's Old Town is Twisted Oak & Brewery. We enjoyed an unplanned Valentine's Day dinner along with two toddlers. We did not have reservations, but had a last minute urge to celebrate (aka this momma didn't want to cook). They accommodated us well and we scored a table and patient server. They even had live music (super talented acoustic guitarist). They offered a nice V-Day menu but we went right for their upscale bar food offerings. I mean if you are going to splurge why skip on the Mac N Cheese bites? Everything was tasty. We ordered the mac n cheese bites, coconut shrimp, crispy chicken sandwich, and kids chicken tenders. Please do yourself a favor and order the mac n cheese bites. They are fried perfection and satisfying. The coconut shrimp were good, but I prefer a bit more coconut in mine. Hubby devoured the crispy chicken sammy and loved the Fresno chilis on it. Kids tenders were good, but not great. All in all a great way to spend Valentine's Day indulging. I have been for their happy hour and they have good deals. Will be back when the cravings hit. I always love a spot with an outdoor patio, and while too chilly this evening, I will definitely sit outside next visit.

Yelp
Can't believe I never finished this review! Well, better late than never right? I visited Twisted Oak on my way home from Anaheim in August 2022. I wanted to get some stamps on my CA Hop Passport, so I made the trek out to Camarillo. And it was definitely worth it! This place is located in Downtown Camarillo in an old building with some much character. The place is huge but beautiful inside. It was a weekday lunchtime, so there wasn't a huge crowd, but I bellied up to the bar (which is gorgeous btw) to order. Since I was there to get a stamp on my passport I had to have a beer or two. I started off with their stout... it was very well done. It was slightly sweet but not too sweet like many I've had more recently. And I also had the Mexican Lager with my meal and that was nice and refreshing to balance out the rich burger I ordered. The selection is endless, but once I realized there was a burger with a bun made out of mac and cheese, I knew I couldn't order anything else! And it did not a disappointment. It was HUGE, and I was only able to eat half of it. I begrudgingly had to decline a box to take it home since home was another 6 hours away. Overall, I would be back if I was in the area.
google avatar

L M.

Yelp
Overall cute place but I was disappointed with the service and food. Walked in and we got seated pretty quickly, but then it took forever just to get a menu. I don't understand why such meh service when it was early and not crowded. My pizza was good but the crust was kind of hard and they were stingy with the fries. Normally I will take some fries from my hubby's plate, but this time I didn't even bother because I felt bad on how little he got. Anyway with all the completion around I doubt we will be back.

Yelp
Just had dinner here. Sat at the bar. Was pleasantly surprised to see almost the spirits listed on the menu--it's nice to see the choices. I'm usually a Jameson Irish whiskey drinker--it's delicious, and available at almost every bar and restaurant in the land (my recent visit to Outback Steakhouse in Stevenson Ranch notwithstanding). I sat at a high-top in the bar area. An added surprise was to find Redbreast on offer! So I ordered one. I had the hot pretzel (which was served piping hot), then salmon salad (delicious), and flourless chocolate cake. The entire time I was served by the bartender, who managed to take care of me while keeping the other bar patrons happy. He did a great job. I will definitely come back.

Gabrielle E.

Yelp
Went there on 5/16 for a rehearsal dinner. Our two waitresses who served us were absolutely fantastic! After we closed out we went to the bar for some drinks. My group and I were waiting at the bar for a little bit so we decided to go to the other side of the bar to get some service. When the bartender came out we asked if we could get some drinks going. He had an attitude and muttered rudely "I'll be right with you" while rolling his eyes pouring a beer. After noticing that we decided to take our business elsewhere. As a GM of another establishment I found this to be extremely unprofessional. 5 stars for the fantastic waitresses on our party but negative stars for the blonde long haired male bartender who clearly needs to learn some customer service. Very disappointing.

Eric R.

Yelp
Space was very open and fresh. Excellent bar area, multiple big screen TVs for viewing of sports. This particular evening, our server Ellery was not only lovely, but articulate, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu and services. Auto recommend this location for a group outing because the quality of the Libations and the food are high.

Samantha H.

Yelp
I don't mind going here. I'm not disappointed in this place. Neither am I extremely impressed. The food is decent and sometimes has a unique spin. The service is good and the ambience is a little bit slow and laid-back on the slower days and when they have live entertainment like music it can be more intense. The only thing is I have a couple picky eaters who always veto going to this restaurant.

Patricia S.

Yelp
The place is a little dark inside like a tavern should be. I like it. Food was good but our appetizers arrived after our entrees with no apology.

Yelp
Great service, the best burgers in the county. Onion rings are amazing. It's a must if you live in the area.

Yelp
Nice, clean, casual space to grab a cocktail and some pub grub. Good amount of parking. Lots of craft brews on tap for the beer lover. Place was busy when we came, service was friendly but a little delayed. Enjoyed our cocktails, beer, roasted brussels sprouts, Saigon sliders, blue cheese bacon burger and french fries.

Yelp
Service and ambiance here is great! Our waitress Sydney was very attentive and kind. The beer/wine selection is excellent, but the food was just okay. For an appetizer we got potato skins which were mediocre, & we both got an entree from their weekly specials menu. The tomato soup/grilled cheese was awesome as the soup was very flavorful, but their chicken parmesan alfredo pasta was excessively soupy and the noodles seemed slightly undercooked. So it seems like a hit or miss for the food items. Also, their iced tea was very watered down and had barely any flavor which was disappointing. Overall, I would come here again and try different menu items but I did have a good experience with the service and some of the food.

Yelp
Solid good service, even with a large group! They were able to get us a table for 8 on a Friday night quickly which we very much appreciated. We were happy to wait if needed. We ordered various entrees but found the wedge salad, nachos and the special of the day French dip sandwich to be the best of our choices. The food was good but not mind blowing, but the selection was great. The desserts looked amazing so we will have to come back for that. Parking was easy but can get full! Drink and cocktail list had choices for everyone in the group. We will be back!

Yelp
I've been to Twisted Oak twice now and I'll keep coming back. One day I'll dine in their super cute back patio. I've had their Chicken & Waffle bites twice now and can't rave about it enough. Some other good choices: Mac N Cheese Balls roasted Brussel Sprouts Loaded Nachos Twisted Oak Burger (so so good).

Yelp
We were looking for a dinner spot, this place was open and their space looked pretty neat. AMBIANCE: Parking: Street parking and plaza parking. Seating: Inside the seating room for maybe about 20 people and 6 groups. Feels: It's on the strip of Old Town/Downtown Camarillo. It's a charming spot with a lot of eateries and everyday stores. The spot itself is pretty fun. There are TVs inside if you want to watch sports and all that jazz. There's also outdoor seating with heat lamps if needed. Great catching a game or hanging out with a group of friends. FOOD: PB&J Burger & Fries (Recommend) This was pretty fun. You have your old fashion charred beef patty with a sweet and savory kick of peanut butter and jam. The bacon provided another good savory crisp to it. The fries were flavored and had a good crunch. Buffalo Cauliflower (Recommend) Juicy, flavorful and marinated with seasoned oil. It was crunchy but also soft, not like chicken but I enjoyed the buffalo sauce flavors. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! Fun people and pretty great service. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Great selections, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere. For a place to kick back, this is a good spot. I enjoy the vibes and the location as well. TIPS: * Check out their happy hour menu!

Yelp
We have been coming here for several months now. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is a lot of fun, and they have great entertainment on the weekends. The best thing about this restaurant is a server named Sydney. She always makes us feel like we made her day by showing up. She remembers us every time we are here. She always makes time for conversations even though we clearly see that she is extremely busy. I hope they know what a treasure they have in this beautiful soul!!!

Yelp
We went on a Friday night, so it was busier than usual. There was live music and it really made the atmosphere very cozy. Usually, I have a hard time hearing the other members of my party when there's live music playing, but this was not the case. Highlights: We really liked listening to the acoustic renditions of various songs. The forager burger and ol smokey Joe are DELICIOUS. I could write an essay on the forager burger alone but in short there's 3 kinds of mushrooms, onion rings, and garlic aioli atop a tasty burger patty between a buttery brioche bun. Lowlights: none
