I can’t speak for any times other than 3pm on a random Friday. However, given those parameters, if you happen to encounter a Boston bartender here (which I kept saying was from Austin, Massachusetts) named Blake - you will undoubtedly have a good time. I give them so much credit for good drink specials, bartenders that make you feel like you’re in your best friend’s living room & a wide array of shots (if that’s your thing) unlike anything you’ll find on 6th street. You owe it to yourself to drop by for a drink…and just maybe you’ll spin the wheel of destiny and wind up making unexpected core memories at this jovial establishment. O

Google
Blake was the best bartender I’ve ever had in my entire life. Especially on 6th street! He saved my grandmother from getting hit by a bus Regina George style right before we came in and then proceeded to give us the best time including getting my grandmother on the bar top to dance it off. Thanks Blake for saving her life and giving us a the best service we have had since we got to 6th you were actually the bomb.com!

Two of us popped in on a dead weekday looking for a drink while spending a few days in Austin. Started looking at the menu on the wall, most drinks were really cheap. Bartender encourages me not to worry about the menu and just let him know what I fancy. Fair enough. Something basic, just a spirit and mixer will do. A whiskey? Sure. Want to make it a double he asks? Why not. Start a tab. Bartender tries to be friendly but unfortunately just comes across quite rude. Want another round? Well that depends how much we’re in so far… $44. For two doubles and mixer. Yeah, we’ll pass on the next round thanks… I point out the difference in price compared to the menu I was encouraged not to order from. Bartender just blames me for falling for his double measure upsell, which was indeed double the price plus the mixer. iPad swivels around to reveal a 20% minimum tip so our 15-minute stay with one drink each set us back over $58 including tax and tip. Lesson learned! Order from the menu and don’t be lulled into a false sense of security, especially if not local.

Google
The manager of this bar is such an amazing person! Immediately vibed with our group and made us laugh so much! I would absolutely recommend this place if you’re visiting or even you’re a local! Great place 👏👏

Google
Great services and even better bartenders! Will definitely be coming back!

Google
Loved this place and the staff!! We went here on a Thursday, and my birthday was the next day. They were kind enough to let me spin their wheel and also gave us a free round of one of the arcade games! I would highly recommend stopping by this bar if you're in the area!! Great customer experience!! :)

Google
1Beer1Shot, first-time review: Open and inviting! One of the three "Buck" bars on the 6th Ave strip. Hallway bar with basketball at the back, but full-joy Street Fighter on the way there. Bartender, Taylor is the epitome of the tavern barkeep: Expertly crafted cocktails (bar-owner trained, as it should be) and able to hold multiple conversations with genuine interest throughout. Spirits are reasonably priced and there is a $2 "basically always" rail of nine beers on tap.

Google
Who sang was the most friendly bartender.I've experienced in quite a long time and i'm an avid bar visitor.

Yelp
Two buck gets there name from he daily drink specials, although nothing was 2 buck when I got there at 11pm on a Sat. I hear them earlier around 8pm. I think they do 2 buck special up to 1059 pm. Good music but not live. The drink menu has lots of classic for the veteran cocktail enthusiast or the newbie that wants to try some the classics. I would recommend everyone try a Ramos gin fizz once in there life unless your allergic to eggs. I had a good time here

Yelp
This place sucks. It's my friend birthday and they let her spin the wheel. When she won "four shots for the crew" the bartender claimed he had to be looking in order for it to count. After pleading he simply left and was super rude. Just trying to have a great night for a friend and will never come back again. Also it's gross and disgusting. Go to aquarium where they have a slide at least. UPDATE: After letting her spin and with her winning "a single shot" he claimed that "since her spin was half-ass she can get a half ass shot" please don't come here they are rude

Yelp
Really wanted to come here to try my hand at spinning their wheel. Each spin costs $10, but there are good prizes on there, such as a shot of different kinds of drinks, a free shot glass, another spin, or even a round of shots for up to four people. So I think the cost of the spin is totally worth it. I won a free shot and a shot glass with my spin which was pretty cool. The ambience is on the lines of a dive bar, but I think definitely way more fun. The bartender gets on a mic to announce the next spinner to the bar when your turn is up. No cover to get in either - definitely make a stop at Two Bucks when bar hopping on 6th.

Yelp
The drinks here are tasty and reasonably priced, and they have cool games and friendly bartenders. This place has 3 wheels that determine which 3 drinks (beer, shot, mixed drink) are $2. I ordered Frosé off the menu. It was strawberry, lemonade, syrup, and rosé and it was pretty good and reasonably priced. My friends and I also had some fruity tasting shot and a coconut shot that were also both really good and sweet.

Yelp
Great place if you're celebrating your birthday. They let you spin their wheel to get either a free shot, shots for your group, t-shirt and shot, shot glass and shot, or bottle of champagne. Bartender was really nice. P.S I recommend getting the dirty Girl Scout, it tasted like a thin mint.

Mark J.

Yelp
The service is AMAZING. Such a chill welcoming vibe with great music, and even better cocktails. Vince is always so nice whenever I come in. This place is my go to whenever I'm Downtown!

Yelp
This place is a must-go for 6th street - when I first came to Austin everyone told us to come, and now I know why! If you're into fun, not so serious drinks, here is the best bang for your (two) bucks! The premise is simple - they have three wheels on the wall, one for beer, one for a (generously sized) shot, and one for a cocktail. And whatever item the wheels are on, those three drinks are just $2. My girlfriend and I aren't big beer people, but we always go for the shot and cocktail, and we're always pleased! And for $2 each, how could you not? Do they use the best alcohol? No. Are their regular drinks a bit overpriced? Yes. But the core gimmick is extremely fun, and definitely worth being on your list of 6th Street bars to visit.

Yelp
Place is fire. Dank cocktails. Lots of options and very reasonable prices; especially in Austin

Yelp
Really enjoyed this bar! We were here for a few hours and it was fun the entire time! The whole concept of the bar is a great idea. $2 beer, $2 shots, $2 cocktails on a spin wheel and you can pay $10 for them to spin it again so a new beer/shot/cocktail can be $2. They also had a special wheel that you can spin for $10 and get many different things like a beer and a shot, bottle of champagne, a t-shirt and shot, etc. I spun this one about three times and it was very fun! The bartenders are great too. They do hand crafted cocktails that are delicious! All three bartenders and guy at the door were very friendly. The atmosphere is fun, good music, good lighting, and fun, kind people! It's a must try next time you're on sixth street! I will be back to visit again!

Yelp
Came in for a 6th Street bar crawl! It was a good time! I had the Moscow mule. It was good! Good atmosphere!

Yelp
Mint julep was super watered down and drinks took way too long to come out despite the lack of patrons. I'd skip this one.

Yelp
My husband & I were visiting Austin for his birthday & this was our first stop while in town. The bartenders were super nice, very efficient, & made delicious drinks. They have 3 wheels on the wall behind the bar & whatever the arrows are pointing to is $2 (options were shots, beer, & a mixed drink). They also have a huge wheel on opposite wall that you get to spin for free on your birthday (or for $10 any other time)! It was a great first stop & we would definitely go back!

Yelp
Julian was an excellent bartender-- if he is not not already the manager he should be!! Had a great time and will definitely return. Made a great Manhattan.

Yelp
Bar manager was rude as hell. He wasn't even inside his bar he was next door at the coyote ugly bar trying to spit game to the chick that worked there. I thought he worked at the coyote ugly bar so I was trying to call him over to help me with the karaoke machine and instead of him telling me that he didn't work at the coyote ugly bar he just dissapeared. When I went over to his bar (the one I'm writing the review about) he was very rude and dismissive. He told me "you don't call someone over like that". Umm how the fuck else was I suppose to get help. Maybe he shouldn't have had his ass next door at the bar to begin with considering he didn't work there. He was just a complete idiot and so was the guy working at the front door.

Yelp
This place does not live up to its name. While originally this place had great drink prices (two bucks) now drinks are about the same as any other bar on Dirty sixth. Also their novelty wheel is weighted so none of the good prize will ever get landed on.
google avatar

Josh H.

Yelp
Went here with a few out of town friends. My girlfriend bought two drinks during their spin deal, $2.00 drinks for the current spin drinks. She closed her tab at $4.00. 20 minutes later, two drinks for the same kind of deal, which would be $4.00. I was told I could not close out since the minimum is $5.00. I kept it opened in case we get more drinks. I forgot about the tab until we went to the next bar. I went back to Two Bucks to close it out. I was told I could not close out until it was at $10.00! I told them I want to close out and not get anymore drinks. They said I could not be closed out until I have $10.00. I stressed I did not want anymore drinks, so I got a water and closed out at $10.50. I will not be coming here again.
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
Should be called 5 bucks since their drinks are actually 5 dollars even when on special. Also their "birthday wheel" is weighted and only lands on two things. In the land of the free, you do not have the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness at this establishment.

Yelp
I have never been to this bar before because it seemed intimidating but one of the bartenders here made it seem very approachable! If you can ask for a bartender when you get here then ask for Ryan. I'm usually super indecisive but he helped me decide on what to order and he was very approachable when I asked him what specials they have!

Amanda N.

Yelp
I was in Austin for a girls trip with 6 friends. We spent most of the day here!! A great atmosphere and Mario the bartender was so much fun.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
Drinks are only cheap until 11pm. Thats something no one has mentioned on here. After 11 the specials are $4.25. Great bar and spacious. Clean bathrooms which is rare on 6th street. Nothing is really $2 so dont let the name fool you.
google avatar

Rini S.

Yelp
Love the place. Love the bartenders. Love the drinks. Love the concept. Love spending hours here. This place is a must if you want to have a fun night on dirty 6th.
google avatar

Rick Ross A.

Yelp
Bouncer is welcoming and the drinks are excellent for the price! Downtown Austin! This place rocks! $5 for an old fashion! $2 beers! $2 margaritas!
google avatar

Ankita N.

Yelp
Favorite Bar on 6th street! Brand new so not very crowded! Plays really fun music to dance to! There are drink specials all night. The wheels on the back of the bar at the top have a specific well drink, beer or shot that's $2 for the night until it gets spun again, and all of those drinks are really good! The bartenders are all super sweet too!

Caitlin P.

Yelp
This place was great when things were actually 2$, but now NOTHING is actually two bucks...even if it's on their "deal wheel". a cheap draft (ie. Bud light) is 5$. Not to mention their wheels are weighted. HONESTLY A COMPLETE SCAM!
google avatar

Sven L.

Yelp
The cocktails and the shots were so sweet that you really couldn't drink that stuff without getting diabetes. Colorful - sugary - drinks, we left the drinks sitting where the barkeeper put them. I guess you get what you pay for

Krystal G.

Yelp
Destin the bartender was so funny and makes a great drink based on your taste!!!! Love this place!! Great drink specials!!!

Taylor B.

Yelp
They should really train their bouncers on how to know the difference between fake and real IDs because I was just VERY rudely denied entrance over a supposed fake ID. I'm 26 and the ID is definitely real... not a good look at all. I will never return.

Joe H.

Yelp
Beware of staff (Tabitha P) purposefully up charging and tacking on additional tips! I'd suspect their alcohol is watered down too
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
We had some really good shots at this place and they had some custom drinks that were REALLY good. They have $2 beers that rotate and some of them are actually pretty good. Tv's, good music, not too loud....we were really enjoying this place UNTIL they took the barstools about 11. There was a group of about 10 of us, sitting at the bar, spending lots of money and having a great time. After walking all day we were loving that we could sit and chill and drink. We didn't want to stand at the bar so we moved on after that.

Yelp
The whole bar has spin the wheel themes around their alcohol. Enough said. Amazing. I visit most all mixology and craft bars -- and these guys has some great freaking cocktails.

Kimberly G.

Yelp
Alan and Brian are amazing. I had the best time, and I can't wait to come back next weekend! The mojitos are RIDICULOUS. Don't forget to spin the wheel!

Tyler S.

Yelp
This place is incredible. You can get a $2 shot, a $2 draft beer, and a $2 cocktail. Amazing prices and customer service. I met a fellow named Adam that worked there and he made me a delicious Ramos Gin Fizz. Can't wait to go back
