The 16 Best Restaurants in Hilo, Hawai‘i - Eater

"Two Ladies Kitchen has been churning out mochi at its small shop on Kilauea Avenue since 1993, even after the original two ladies, Nora Uchida and Tomi Tokeshi, sold the business to two then-employees, Emerald Tuares and Clyde Ebanez, in 2021. Equally loved by locals and tourists, Two Ladies Kitchen creates more than 20 flavors of mochi and manju daily. Stop by for the famous strawberry mochi, filled with a whole strawberry and handmade tsubushi-an, a sweet azuki bean paste. Other items range from more traditional mochi to more contemporary creations, like the peanut butter mochi, a lovely flower-shaped creation filled with shiro-an and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Follow Two Ladies on Instagram for upcoming flavors, and call to place orders at least one day ahead to be sure you don’t miss out." - Maya-Lin Green

"Mochi Madness at Two Ladies Kitchen in Hilo If you are a fan of mochi, this is a MUST stop on your visit in the Hilo area. The place is tiny, there is usually a long line, takes cash only, and parking is a bear, but once you take one bite into their massive (and most famous) strawberry mochi you will be hooked for life! They have a wide variety of flavors and all the mochi is fresh, dry where it needs to be dry, and with perfectly seasoned filling."

Google
Really yummy and fresh!! Highly recommend the fruit Daifuku, it’s made to order so depends on how busy it is, there is 10-15 mins wait, so leave enough time. I also ordered the assorted mochi, but I wish the mochi skin can be a bit less sweet since some of the filling it’s already pretty sweet. I recommend the fruit daifuku than the regular mochi.

Karl Stratos

Google
The best fruit mochi I've had in my life. The classic strawberry one is so supreme, even miles better than other fruit options. It's difficult to stop eating these, is my only complaint!

Julie J.

Google
Tourist who heard this place is a must and it is!!! Take out only and can be a wait but ABSOLUTELY worth it! We had the Strawberry Shortcake Mochi is a must absolutely to die for. We also had traditional chichi and the peanut butter mochi and the brownie mochi - all were fabulous! We almost ate them all before remembering to take a pic! I’ve never had real mochi (just the store bought frozen ice cream ones) and now that I have, I fear I will never find Mochi this good anywhere else again.

Alison

Google
I found this place after hearing many travel vloggers mention it while planning our trip to Volcanoes. I can confidently say their Instagram made me crave this stuff all the way from Ohio leading up to our trip! It lived up to the hype and I appreciated the suggestions to call in an order a couple days ahead for quick pick up

Therese Howe

Google
Took reviewers’ suggestion to call in my order in advance and it worked great, although there wasn’t much of a line when I arrived. It was difficult not to get everything, all the choices sounded wonderful. It really is the best mochi in Hawaii - was even soft after a couple days.

Qiang Guo

Google
Always a long line, and people who work there don't give you the nicest look either, but the fruit daifuku is no match. The only place where I've had better was in Japan. Make sure to order online and arrive on time to skip the line and get your delicious treat early.

Doug Sparkes

Google
The lines say it all, but just because people are clustering around the entry doesn't mean there is a line. It's such a tiny shop that once your order is placed you have to wait for it to be processed or made. In other words, people probably aren't waiting to order, they're waiting for their order. Well worth it. We love the mochi covered strawberries

Ian Smith

Google
Delicious treats and mochi -- definitely recommend ordering ahead. But this spot was recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. Worth stopping in (early!) if you are in town.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
CALL IN YOUR ORDER! I skipped the line as the lady asked for phone orders !! Pro- call in your order before the shop opens cuz when I tried calling during hours, line always busy. I called around 930a on Friday for pick up Saturday. -lots of variety -poha berry, haven't tried that it's kind of sour! Cons- limited street parking, long lines (since it's so popular), not open Sunday/Monday -limited seating /waiting area

Yelp
I grew up in Japan and having fresh mochi is always such a treat. There is constantly a line out the door here for a reason! Fresh, delicious, unique mochi is what you'll get at Two Ladies Kitchen. Take a look at their menu pick a few that look interesting and go for it. Super orderly considering how busy they are. I've had so many friends bring these mochi back to Oahu when I used to live there--it's so nice to have finally gone to the actual place it comes from!
google avatar

Kenneth T.

Yelp
The mochi here is SO good! We got a variety of mochi and our favorites are: Strawberry fruit mochi - the soft and smooth mochi together with the fresh sweet strawberry was core memory making! Strawberry fruit chocolate mochi - the combination of flavors was delicious. Plum flower - the mochi and azuki bean ratio were perfect giving your mouth a nice sweet and chewy party. The not so good: Lilikoi. Even with a clean palate, we could barely taste the lilikoi. So that was disappointing. Will be back to try out other mochi next time.
google avatar

Yelp
I think this is the best and freshest mochi I ever had! The mochi was super soft. The some of the flavors were unique. The one's I've tried were very good. My husband doesn't mochi, but he liked it when he tried one. When we arrived, there was a line, but the line went fairly quick. You order, pay, and wait to be called. You need to get there early, they do tend to run out of some of their popular flavors. I very much loved their mochi! I will definitely will come again.

Jon O.

Yelp
Bought strawberry mochi and gave to friends and family. They were great! Everyone enjoyed! Made it through the carry on screening!
google avatar

Rayne U.

Yelp
6 other patrons in line ahead of us as we arrived. They were kind enough to let us know they've already ordered so we could get in on the goods. Stuffed strawberry mochi is always a must! The selection of prepackaged assorted manju & mochi was plentiful. Friendly service. Clean, cute & quaint setup.
google avatar

Darlene M.

Yelp
Yummy Mochi. Faves are Strawberry, peanut butter, or anything with red beans. Mochi is super fresh and delicious. The line can get long - you wait to order then wait for them to fulfill your order - fresh! Or, you can order the prepackaged mochi displayed on the counter. Super small storefront. There's only room for people to order and there's a very small bench for waiting. Overall, this is a great small business to support. Go check em out, if you haven't already.

Yelp
We bought one of the prepackaged boxes and took it to go. The mochi was amazing! So soft and fresh. The brownie mochi was unexpected but so good. Only wish was that the box was marked as we weren't quite sure what each flavor was, but it made for a fun guessing game :)
google avatar

Yelp
The strawberry mochi is so good, I could've just gotten a whole box of just those. Drove across the island from Kona to get mochi since we weren't gonna have time to make it any other day of our trip. The shop is small, staff is nice, and they have a lot of different mochi for you to choose from. We ordered the mochi a day in advance and scheduled it for EOD pickup. Turns out they won't have your mochi ready if you swing by hours early (oops), but they were super accommodating and still able to make/pack us our mochi. We did have to wait since we came earlier than our pickup time, but the strawberry mochi was worth the wait. Overall happy with everything we got-- the strawberry mochi was the best and I'm still thinking about it half a year later.
google avatar

Suechu T.

Yelp
My husband and I came here in the morning on a Saturday after the farmers market. There was not a wait to order but there was for your order to be ready since they make the fruit mochi fresh. We had the strawberry and mandarin mochi and it was super delicious. I would highly recommend!
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Decent mochi with some interesting flavors. We came on a wed afternoon and it was busy. You order inside and wait outside while they put your order together. No seating inside or outside. All decently priced at $1-2. We only got the mochi but they also have some baked manju as well. The mochi texture across all the ones we tried were good but not great. We've definitely had softer, fresh tasting ones before that really stretch when you take a bite. But the overall flavors were pretty good. My favorite was the Okinawan since it had fresh potato paste in it and you could really taste it. My family thought the ships one was really interesting and pretty. Didn't expect to have such a purple color and you could see the specks of shiso in it.

Yelp
An absolute staple in the Hilo community - everyone was telling me to visit and try their mochi, and it shows! Everything was very flavorful and my personal favorites were the Brownie and the Strawberry Fruit Mochi! I highly recommend calling your order ahead, rather than try and get whatever they have left for the day (especially during busy times like Merrie Monarch) - Miguel Morales Photography

Yelp
Highly rated on yelp. Mochi dessert place with lots of ratings and a long line?! By my standards that usually means it's good but I only let that weigh my rating by 50%. It still has to taste good. Our experience. We got to the shop a little after they opened and there was a line. Wait was about 15 mins and once we ordered we waited another 10 mins. Wait wasn't bad. I don't remember the flavor names but each mochi was HUGE. The wife really enjoyed them. The Oreo was fat. It tastes like you'd think it'd taste. So if you're into Oreos, it's your jam, I mean mochi. I'd recommend getting an assortment. I think the mochi are good, but not the best or great. Worth a try, but don't expect it to blow your sandals off
google avatar

Tammy T.

Yelp
Love the strawbery daifuku here! Suggested that you pre order and you can choose the type of bean filling (or none at all). Expect a 10-20 min wait depending on the crowd even after you order and pay if you do walk in.
google avatar

Richard L.

Yelp
Had a chance to stop by two ladies kitchen to pick up some mochis on the drive back to Kona from Hilo. Overall they were very soft and nice. I think some of the flavors though were a bit mediocre. Overall don't regret stopping by and would recommend to others as well!
google avatar

Yelp
If you're in Hilo and love mochi, you MUST make a stop at Two Ladies Kitchen. Especially for their famous fresh strawberry mochi. Highly recommend you call ahead so they don't run out as you wait in their long lines.

Yelp
I am obsessed with all things mochi so when I heard of a place that sells freshly made mochi I KNEW I had to go! They have lots of different options on the menu that are more or less similar variations, but they have their subtle differences and are so so gorgeous. I had to resist the temptation to order every single one on the menu (but I got pretty close). I would definitely recommend their fresh fruit mochis! Strawberry is classic, but they have lots of other great fruits and I loved the pear. If you're flying back to the mainland, just make sure to finish the fruit ones before you go. Also, try not to over-order as they mochi will get a little hard after several days since these are freshly made. The only part that was sort of meh about this mochi adventure was the wait in line. The line when they open is crazy. Even if you call in to order, you still may have to wait while they prep your order. I think it would be super helpful if they had an online ordering system where you can schedule a pick-up time. However, everyone was super friendly and I totally understand why the wait times are so long because the mochi is amazing! If you're on the Hilo side, be sure to check Two Ladies Mochi out. Grocery store mochi will never be the same!
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
The mochi here was stellar. Almost two months later, I am still dreaming about the soft pillowy mochi that melts in your mouth. There is a line. I suggest ordering it and walking around for 20 minutes.

Yelp
Delicious, homemade mochi with so many fillings/flavors to choose from! My co-worker were in Hilo for a work trip and his wife recommended Two Ladies Kitchen. She warned us to order ahead so we would get what we wanted, and that was sage advice! I called a day in advanced and ordered 12 different pieces of mochi, ranging from fresh strawberry, pear, and grape, to oreo, brownie, lilkoi, and butter mochi! The mochis are huge and fluffy and to die for. My favorite was actually the brownie mochi - delish! I also really liked the peanut butter one and also the fresh strawberry. FYI if you are flying Hawaiian inter island ONLY you do NOT need to check fresh fruit mochi. Carry on is okay. If you are flying Southwest at all (inter island or back to mainland), you will need to check your fresh fruit filled mochi in your suitcase, so plan ahead so they don't get smashed! (Bring a tupperware). Thanks Two Ladies for a yummy treat! Ate them all in one weekend!
google avatar

Joyce Z.

Yelp
You know I travel for food and one of the big reasons I wanted to stay in Hilo this year was to stop here for that fresh strawberry mochi. More like 4 of them. With a whole strawberry in each one, if they are on the small side, we got double the amount. Okinawa sweet potato, nectarine, and brownie rounded out my pre-ordered box. You definitely want to phone in your order a day or two before to avoid the wait. Do note those strawberry mochis are still considered fresh fruit and not allowed on flights back to the mainland. In addition, since Southwest flies out of the mainland terminal, pack them in your check in even if you're flying interisland since ag inspections are still required for carry-ons whereas check ins are not for interisland.

Yelp
WOW! Seriously some of the best mochi I've ever had, and I've had some fantastic ones in Japan. I found this spot on Yelp and decided to make my way over since it was close by. When approaching you can immediately see the place since there's a giant crowd of people outside waiting for their orders or waiting to place their order. We waited around 20 minutes in line, but got them soon after. I got the fresh pear and nantu mochis. They were so so good! The mochi itself is the star of the show - super fresh, soft, chewy, thick, and not too sweet. There was a slice of pear enveloped in white bean paste for that one, which was super good all together. The nantu was a okinawan mochi mixed with red bean and coated in soybean powder which has such a great nutty flavor. I absolutely loved this spot and wish I got more!

Yelp
2 stars for the customer service. The extra star is for the other lady who smiled and was actually nice and the unique flavors. Apparently I am not the only one that this has happened to but the young lady cashier told us to wait outside and had rbf. People were sitting on the bench earlier when it was super crowded and it was fine for them but apparently she didn't like the look of us and made us stand outside in the rain. Not to mention by the time we could sit in there to wait for our order it wasn't crowded at all. Why is there a bench for customers if you don't allow them to sit there especially when there was nobody else in there? But you let others sit there? It's hypocritical and rude. Figure out a better system. We were just trying to avoid the rain as we had to wait 20 minutes. Some of the mochi was good, they have very unique flavors and ingredients. They were sweet without being too sweet and had a great chewy texture. The package was nice. The Butter mochi was underwhelming, very dry. The Peanut butter is my go-to and it was alright but Fugetsu in LA just makes a better one than the one I tried here. Oreo and the taiyaki are good. The shop is small and we like supporting local. I just wish the service was better considering we had to travel so far to try them.

Yelp
This was my first time here, and I think I got the wrong kinds because I was underwhelmed. Maybe my expectations were too high. I thought the flavors would be obvious in the mochi, but they all tasted like regular mochi despite the different colors and flavor descriptions. I should have asked if the flavors were going to be obvious or subtle (they were more subtle for sure, possibly even absent). The only ones that stood out were the Brownie (which had brownie in the middle) and pie crust (the exterior was pie crust). I guess I was expecting more interesting mochi, but those were the only two that were interesting. Otherwise, they tasted like regular mochi. I'm the type of person who seeks out "new/interesting/unique" food, so in the future, I will ask for the most unique items. They have a wide selection of mochi and manju. Next time, I'll ask for the ones that are the most unique in terms of flavor or texture. Got: - fruit mochi (strawberry, mandarin orange, and cotton candy grape) - contemporary mochi: pie crust, peach-Momo, brownie, butterfly, lilikoi, plum flower. Service was good. It was busy in the early afternoon during the week, but we didn't wait too long. I noticed they gave an extra strawberry mochi, which was kind of them. Ambiance - has a small business feel. Just hard-working people doing their best to create interesting products.

Yelp
Famous for a reason- delicious strawberry filled mochi with black bean ahn was legit! I was wondering why our friends said it was a must stop. Service is fully manual and slow -(they wrote down order on a post it and had it filled in the back). they definitely could improve their process and systems, but people are willing g to wait because their mochi is that good. Would I come back even though we had to wait- hell yes! I guess this is Hilo so it's ok to slow the pace and enjoy this small mom/pop shop. Worth the stop! So good!
google avatar

Elsa G.

Yelp
You know a place is good when there is a line out the door. Two Ladies Kitchen was highly recommended when coming to Hilo. It is hard to find such fresh and unique mochi if you live elsewhere in the US. The mochi here is extremely soft and squishy. The flavors I tried were excellent, not one flavor that I didn't like. I think my favorites were the chichi and brownie flavors. Just be warned that you may need to wait a bit for the fruit mochi if you don't preorder, but I assure you it is well worth it. Highly recommend whether you are local or just visiting!
google avatar

Cyrus A.

Yelp
Wow, this might be the best mochi I've had. Not just in Hawaii; the best mochi I've had, full stop. First, the person staffing the front was awesome -- super helpful when I asked for recommendations, and she was really friendly. The staff also gifted me an extra piece! I ordered three, was pleasantly surprised to find four waiting for me when I opened the box. Amazing staff aside, the mochi itself is out of this world! So soft and chewy, perfectly balanced and not too sweet. It's super filling too, but that didn't stop me from inhaling two pieces in one sitting. It's just so good, and definitely a must visit in Hilo!
google avatar

Christina N.

Yelp
Well worth the wait! As many have mentioned, its probably best if you call ahead and order in advance, otherwise the line could go for blocks. We were lucky and waited in line only for 20min even though there were only 4 parties ahead of us. We got a variety of different mochis to try, but my favorite has got to be the strawberry mochi with smooth white bean paste. The strawberry mochi with smooth red bean paste was a close second! You can't really go wrong with whatever you end up picking honestly. The texture of the mochi is top notch. After you place your order, we ended up waiting another 20-30 min for them to prepare our order. Definitely a must try!
google avatar

Shantell C.

Yelp
Best local mochi spot. Call in your order and skip the 10-20 minute wait. Fruit kochi are made to order and fresh from morning cooking.
google avatar

CoRy C.

Yelp
Delicious!! Highly recommend the trip to Hilo from Kona. Everything, I had was good: Oreo, pear, peach, strawberry with red bean, peanut butter, and brownies. They are made fresh to order. Wait times can be about 10 mins. They are have assorted mixes for grab & go.
google avatar

Richard F.

Yelp
Quick Summary Definitely a must-visit. One of the best strawberry mochis I've ever had (it's really that good). Street parking only but usually plenty of spots. You can call ahead to save time (it takes about 15-20 minutes for your order if you order at the shop) Food- 5 stars Tried a variety of their mochi and they were all incredibly delicious. I recommend trying their fresh fruit mochi, especially the strawberry mochi. The baked and sweet flavors are good too (like the peanut butter), but the most memorable is easily the strawberry mochi Service- 5 stars The staff members are pretty friendly and helpful with recommendations Bottom Line Must-visit mochi spot if you're on the Big Island. Strawberry mochi is a must

Yelp
I'll be the first to admit I'm not a huge mochi fan. Still, I felt I had to try the "best mochi ever!" I read the reviews that said to order ahead, and silly me, I called 20 min before we wanted to pick up thinking that would be early enough. They want you to call ideally 1 day ahead! We had to wait about 2 hours until we could pick up our order - prob faster if we went to stand in line in person but we just did other stuff while we waited. - Strawberry mochi with tsubushi-an - the most popular. This was the first I tried and I didn't think it was that good. I couldn't really taste the red bean... based on this mochi alone, I was thinking man, Two ladies just isn't for me. BUT THEN, I ate one the next day after it had been sitting out of the fridge for longer and it was so good! AND I tried... - Butterfly - this one had a crunchy white chocolate center but also surprise! Some chocolate pieces - not in the description. Shrug. This one was sooooo good. - Kamato - I liked this one more than the strawberry even. - plum flower - Furusato manju - not for me - kind of dry tasting. Still unsure why the strawberry mochi tasted better the next day, but I guess we're sold on Two Ladies Kitchen (or at least their mochi) now.

Yelp
Amazing mochi. I ended up buying for my self, wife and host. I got a large set which included the fresh strawberry, seasonal poha berry, and nectarine. All were delicious, and i would return in an instant. Starting with the fresh strawberry, there is a bit of sweetness from the mochi and a bit of tart from the strawberry which was a perfect blend. I had this same taste with the Poha berry. The poha berry was kinda like a crasberry with a sweet and tart component. Where as the nectarine was sweet and sweet. My wife called in the order in advance, but we ended up adding to our existing order when we saw the seasonal, which they put togehter very quickly. Even after they opened, there was a small line. check out their Instagram feed to see what the offer
google avatar

Alyssa D.

Yelp
I wanted to see what the hype was about and it was so delicious but the wait is just so long that if you're in a crunch, you may want to call ahead. Should have done more research before coming, but calling ahead is an option, although you still need to wait in line. Efficiency wise it's not the greatest but the lady was extremely sweet and passed out samples. My daughter got lucky and got two samples. A hole in the wall kinda place but it's definitely locally made.
google avatar

Colleen V.

Yelp
We love the Mochi here, you can really taste the love they put into the mochi. My only suggestion would be to call in your order. But if you choose to wait in line, it's worth it.
google avatar

Peter H.

Yelp
Lilikoi (passion fruit) is my favorite. I didn't like the Strawberry mochi because the strawberry was already breaking down, not fresh. This place was over an hour wait and I don't think it was worth the time. No doubt this is the best rice gluten will ever be.
google avatar

Philip L.

Yelp
Super fun place in Hilo to get pretty snacks. So many different varieties of mochi - quite impressive! The whole fruit filled ones were an interesting concept and pretty large, good to try but enjoyed the more traditional ones better. Usually a long line so be prepared to wait. Good place to stop by after seeing Volcano National Park. I've been to a couple mochi places in SF (since closed) and San Jose Japantowns, but this place far exceeds them with creativity & beautiful presentation.
google avatar

Atia S.

Yelp
The actual mochi is fine. I picked up a pre-made kit because I didn't want to wait for a customized order. Ambiance is a little neighbourhood bakery that one would normally see in Hilo. The issue I had was with service. Specifically, that they need a better system of taking and handling orders. The space of customers waiting to order vs pickup has absolutely no organization. After waiting 30 minutes before ordering, the cashier let 2 other customers come in front of me to order and pay. The customers explained that they had been waiting outside before most of the others, then tried to make casual conversation with me as a sad attempt to assuage my frustration. I would be more understanding if there was any indication that they were here first -- like a ticket! I believe this place could meet the growing demand by having a ticketing system, and also having customers who have already paid wait outside. Less room for argument and confusion.

Yelp
If you love mochi, this is the place to go in Hilo. Everyone raves about the strawberry mochi, which is a fresh strawberry, coated in azuki (or chocolate if you want) wrapped in pillowy soft white mochi. I've had it MANY MANY times over the years and I just don't like it. It's almost $4 each, the strawberries are sour and crunchy, and it's just not my thing. It's not their fault our strawberries are junk, I just don't think it's their best product. This is a mochi place, so order what they're famous for, the assorted mochi! If you don't know what to get, you can order the mochi/manju assortment. If you want only mochi you can pick which pieces you want or get a 8 or 12 pack. My favorite is the purple one with Okinawan sweet potato filling, but just depends what you like. The green one with white bean paste is good, the blue flower one is good too, oh the orange one is good, yellow is yummy, pink one has something unique oh nevermind just buy the one with everything if it's your first time. Don't forget to look at the prepacked little containers at the register, they have the "ends", assorted minis stuffed with marshmallow or chocolate. They do accept card, be prepared wait in line and if you order everything, it's $40-50 easy.

Yelp
Fantastic must stop when in Hilo! Great selection of mochi and the pricing is affordable! Don't hesitate to stop here! Always worth a visit!

Yelp
Saw this mochi spot trending on insta so had to go when I visited Hilo. I called in to pre order before their opening time and was able to quickly get my order upon arrival. The shop was very homey. I opted for a mix of mochis. The best thing would have to be the strawberry mochi! It tasted so fresh and delicious! Would recommend checking it out if you're in Hilo!

Yelp
WOW! This place was incredible and rightfully has LINES out the door. We stopped by on a Saturday morning while the farmer's market was also in full swing, and it was quite busy. If you order by phone, you should be able to get a time estimate for your order, but we ended up going in person. The strawberry is of course a classic and absolutely delicious. The fresh strawberry sets this mochi over the top. The best I've had so far. The lilikoi is the biggest miss for me, which is disappointing since I love anything of the flavor. The Kamato is also very uniquely flavored. The brownie is also delicious! The fresh fruit ones are definitely standout. They have the seasonal options listed out in the shop, and the Poha berry is a great option if available. The servers are very helpful and patient while you pick your flavors (an impossible choice!). The mochi does taste a little stale after a couple days, understandably, so plan how many you are able to purchase. Another note that you are not allowed to transport the fresh fruit mochi back to the mainland, so keep that in mind!

Chris K.

Yelp
Very good mochi. We called ahead of time to avoid the line. Tiny shop, but lots of good flavored mochi.
google avatar

Grace L.

Yelp
After walking through the Farmers Market, we were ready for a snack. We actually walked over because TLK was so close. Purchased two mixed ones and one box of Strawberry mochi. The Mochi was very fresh. Although we tried many flavors, we would have been very satisfied with just one box of the strawberry mochi. The strawberry inside was so big and combined with the red bean filling was just perfect.

Yelp
Finally got to try the famous handmade mochi spot in Big Island! I've always seen this around and heard great things about it. We got here Friday around 1035AM to pick up our order. I called around 830am to place an order for pick-up that same day... they said it would be ready at 11AM. I got there a little early and they said just come back at 11AM, so I waited and got my order at 11AM. I advise to call ahead of time, even if its the day of to place your order. I asked for a box of 6 mochi with the butterfly and strawberry mochi, and to surprise me the rest of the box with their popular items. From what I remember, it came with oreo mochi, a flower shaped one, and forgot what else. They even included a mochi like pastry as a complimentary item! You can also just show up and grab their pre-packaged mochi available at the cashier. We also grab a tiny container for their bite size chichi and ginger mochi. I absolutely loved the soft, pillowy texture of them! I didn't realized they rotate fresh fruit mochi on a regular cadence, so if you're into fruits do ask them what fresh fruit they have on hand! After you place your order you would have to wait awhile for them... so definitely recommend calling ahead of time! The line wasn't too long when I arrived, just 2-3 customers ahead of me.

Yelp
This is my first time trying Two Ladies Kitchen and I am really glad I did. I got to try 4 different flavors peach, ginger, lilikoi and strawberry. The lilikoi and ginger were both very similar. they are square shaped with no filling and colorwise they are both a yellow tint, I almost couldnt tel the difference. The ginger flavor was a little stronger and unfortunately the lilikoi was hard to taste. Ginger was only available on friday but tbh its not super special. The peach was nice and was shaped like such, flavor was good woth some filling inside. The best however is strawberry, the fresh strawberry plus red bean combo is a winner! Thats a must try if you go

Yelp
A very long line, come early for the best mochi you have ever had. Some have fillings but my fave is the chocolate strawberry inside the Mochi. You can park anywhere on the street then walk around town. If your taking back to mainland don't get any with fruits.

Yelp
The strawberry flavor was the best! You can taste a whole strawberry in a mochi with right amount of chewiness and sweetness. We ordered a dozen of other products and they all tasted good. Just plan your waiting time when you get there. This is a popular place and many locals go there, too.

Yelp
I love mochi and needed to check this place out. Last time I had mochi with strawberry was in Japan. It's a small place when we arrived there were several people waiting. I ordered 2 with strawberry, and two with red bean. And received a bonus one (: It was exactly was I wanted it to be, soft and the filling giving it sweetness. So good! You can pre order and pick it up. I can see this place being super busy during peak season. I also love how it was wrapped, little touches make you remember a place.

Yelp
We waited in a very long line for these guys mochi. And you know how that goes. The longer you wait, the more compelled you are to order more than you need. So we tried a lot of different varieties... Now I'm not the bigggest mochi connoisseur, but even I have to admit these were pretty tasty. But were they worth the long wait? Well you'll have to be the judge, cause you'll likely have the same experience at this popular little spot.
