The 10 Best New Restaurants in Vancouver | Eater

"A ubiquitous name on menus in Vancouver, Two Rivers Meats has transformed the city’s dining scene with its laser focus on ethically raised meats. The Shop, set in an unprepossessing spot in North Van, is its first venture into offering its choice cuts direct to consumers. Along with a butcher shop that looks more like a gleaming designer fashion store (snap up the house-made charcuterie for a picnic), the Shop gives meat fans the chance to enjoy hand-cut, dry-aged steaks cooked to perfection on the wood and charcoal fire. The tallow fries are a must-have, and the burger is perfection. There are even a couple of items for vegetarians, but the view of all that full-animal butchery behind the glass panels may be a bit hard to swallow for some." - Nikki Bayley

Google
It was a very tasty burger. I can tell the difference between the charcoal grilled juicy meat burger and regular beef. Beer and burgers, always a great choice. But portions aren’t that big. It might be small meal for some people.

Google
Wow. So happy that I found this place, if you are, as I am, a meat lover, then this is by no question your place to shop. And off course have lunch. Great menu and excellent presentation. Also good prices

Google
The dine-in experience is exceptional. It’s more of a cafeteria style order-at -counter kind of shop but the staff are cheerful and helpful. We ordered the dry aged burger with bacon and tallow fries, and the steak frites. They smashed. Amazing funky flavour from the dry aged beef. The steak was cooked perfectly rare-medium rare with a nice smoked sear, just like I ordered. Steak went really well with a fairly priced glass of house red. Will come back to sample more from their menu when we shop here next time.

Google
burger was tasty but had a low meat/bun ratio :( but the fries are top ranked and the fried chicken was awesome as well so whatever

Google
honestly, i was expecting a little more from the burgers, but they were just kinda normal? better than average, but nothing special. the fries were definitely a highlight though. they were super crispy and well seasoned, and i think i preferred the regular fries over the dirty chili fries. service was really friendly though !!!

Google
Been before, will be back again. Best dang burger ever! Wonderful fries. Great service and outdoor deck. Breezy and cool. Always a good choice. Solid 5 stars for years now.

Google
Quality of food, service, and atmosphere were amazing!! A bit expensive, but happy hour prices are good. The friend chicken was delicious!

Google
I recently purchased some butcher-tied ribeye steaks from here, and they were incredible! The way they’re tied into perfect medallions ensures an even internal temperature, resulting in a beautifully cooked steak. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the quality and flavor.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday afternoon for their burger and beer $15 special. I opted to not get a beer since it was early afternoon and they were able to accommodate. I got the burger without a bun, on lettuce and well done all for $11 (plus tax). It was by far the BEST smash burger I've ever had!!! We sat outside on their covered and heated patio which is also dog friendly. The staff asked if my pup wanted a bone which was so incredibly kind and thoughtful. I will for sure be back for another Thursday burger deal again!!!

Yelp
I can't believe I never wrote anything about this place, as this is the place for great meats, if you want to treat yourself to quality look no further and come here. You can't miss the welcoming big letters of their sign up front, and when you come in, it is an open, clean space where everyone in here knows meat, like the knowledge is great, but also know that you will be leaving with some of the highest of quality stuff, whether it is raw, or prepared (get to that in a minute), this is a place where the meme of "take my money" really holds true. I have had the pleasure over the years to purchase things like meats, trays of eggs (during the pandemic), salami's, cookies, pre-cooked items (sausage rolls) and even eat in here recently, and it's still one of those places where I wonder why does not more people come here, and in some ways I can say.... good cause I get to enjoy this tasting what quality food should taste like. Just recently I came on a Saturday morning, not planning to eat here, but my wife ended up buying up a few things, and I saw a steak special, where it was a 6 oz steak with duck fat fries and a salad for $18. While I proceeded to wait, I ordered this, and wow..... this was amazingly good. My wife who kept on adding to whatever she was ordering to pack our fridge got some information on the bottles of tallow they were selling, and other meat cuts, and it's one of those places where you can do two things... she shops, I sit down and eat... and remember this is a butcher shop..... in my books this is the best butcher shop in the GVA. I love this place, so does my wallet..... come prepared, as even if you have a list, you are probably going to overspend.... it's hard not to in this place.

Yelp
Decent burger spot with a special "dry-aged" cheeseburger and lots of other interesting plates, including a bone marrow dish which looked really good. To be honest I'm not a burger person but the cheeseburger was pretty good. The patty is not huge though decent size. It's crispy. Pretty good texture and taste. It's decent though not the best burger I've had around here. I'd be interested to come back and try their other stuff like the fried chicken.

Yelp
The Roasted Chicken was amazing, cooked to perfection. Hands down to your cook Donna Napanee. The freshness of the two salads Potato,Greek and the Corn Bread was unforgettable. My congrats to Donna going above and beyond for a incredible meal. I give Donna top star on the meal Can't wait till my next visit

Yelp
Purchased a 13-ounce Strip Loin. Upon bringing it home, I noticed the small edging of fat, when reversed, was at least 3/4" on the back side of the meat. Flavour was good. I weighed the fat after the meal and it was 2 ounces of fat. I bought the steak to serve two people but it was really not enough and cost $39.00.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday around lunch time. There weren't many people inside at the time so we were able to be served quickly. The Staff were super friendly and helpful. You order at the front and they bring the food to your table (they give you a number). We ordered the burger and the Chilli fries. Both were pretty standard. The burger wasn't very juicy and just felt somewhat disappointing. There was nothing about it thay really stood out. The quality of the ingredients were good but other than that not much to say. The Chilli fries were very disappointing as the fries weren't crispy. They felt over fried and had a strong oil flavour. They were very generous with the toppings but other than that would not order this item again. Next time I visit I will definitely get some of their meat products and try that huge hotdog on the menu.

Yelp
Been buying their meat for years. Anything and everything has always been terrific. But this time we wanted the rotisserie chicken which looked delicious. While we were waiting we saw the fries. Omg, had to order some and were not disappointed. Any genius poster that says otherwise is a troll or a so called "elite". And because we were waiting for the other stuff we also had a lyoner sandwich. Pre made, pretty basic, but good. Not trendy and fancy, just a good sandwich. And nine bucks. Staff are, and have always been unfailingly terrific. Bravo. These folks have it figured out. Very busy on a Saturday afternoon.

Yelp
The food was amazing they make almost everything with beef tallow such as popcorn, fries and cookies. I had the best fries and cookies I've ever had and the service Was amazing the staff was so nice and helpful and I would say they had the best staff I've ever dealt with. And i loved how the place smelled lien smoke and how the tables had different heights and they have indoor and outdoor seating

Yelp
A fabulous meat store and dine in restaurant in North Vancouver. I had been told by a friend that this was a great place to buy premium meat and decided to stop by when I was in North Vancouver. The meats here were of exceptional quality. We decided to try a selection of steak to BBQ later that evening. Rib Eye, Wagyu, and Sirloin. Naturally the Wagyu and Rib Eye was superb and the Sirloin delicious! The meat store is also a dine in restaurant and a large outdoor patio. There is an assortment of items to choose from including wine to accompany your dinner. Service was excellent and the meat selection extensive. I highly recommend this store and will return again next time I am in North Vancouver.

Yelp
They used to be good... until they weren't. The quality of the products has gone down, prices have gone up beyond the inflation rate, and the pretentiousness of the way you are treated leaves a lot to be desired. They're trying to be artisanal and high end, but it comes off as snobby and insulting. I'm not sure what changed to cause all this, but I think greed has to do with it. Further more, they don't respect the local community. They took over Black Forest Deli in Park Royal. A beloved European Delicatessen that offered a lot of products that aren't easily available to those of us that prefer European / German goods. Instead of maintaining some aspect of the original shop, they turned it into a washed down version of their other butcher shop. I decided to write this review after watching 2 Rivers whine on the local news, complaining about the status of the economy. I have little sympathy for a company that presents themselves in the way I described above. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for your butcher needs, such as Windsor Quality Meats for great products at reasonable prices, and Sebastian & Co, or Luigi & Sons for high end products with equal service where they treat you like a VIP regardless of what you purchase. Also, you'll see all the wasted product from Black Forest Deli that was likely thrown away. They couldn't even offer it during their opening. Huge thumbs down!

Yelp
Average quality meat, really over priced. They do the classic con of quoting you a cost for 100grams instead of per KG to stop the sticker shock .... Went in for a few sausages. Asked me if I minded paying by card instead of cash. Then was prompted to pay a tips by $amount or %percentage. I asked if this was meant to happen or did I press the wrong button. I was informed that it was real and they expect tips.....for a butcher handing over 6 sausages???? $28 for 6 sausages before tip. They are just ripping people off

Yelp
Yum! During the Punchbowl Festival this year, I was able to try out the Ribs plate (which came with a few sides). The ribs were delicious, tender and flavourful and I enjoyed the sides they had as well. Hope to try more from Two Rivers Meats!

Yelp
Steak was overcooked)-upsetting as ive been wanting to try this place for years. best part of the dish was the side spinach & fries), we also tried the Burger & Beer, the beef was too small for the burger (tiny & underwhelming, service was attentive, i didn't raise my concerns with the overcooked steak. Too be completely honest, the both of us were still hungry after our so called "lunch" meeting. We laughed and called them canapés.

Yelp
I came here with B and H. H and I got 2 dry aged cheese burgers, queso con anchoas and mejillones to share. B got a beer and chorizo a la sidra. The dry aged cheese burger was very very delicious. Definitely made with quality meat. The cheese gave it a lot of flavor. The queso con anchoas was very flavorful. We really liked it. the Mejillones was amazing. We asked for some complimentary bread so we can dip up some of the flavorful sauce. They were super nice to give us some. The bread was super yummy. The place got really busy after 7 pm. Definitely a popular hot spot for a lot of locals. The atmosphere was very family friend oriented. Currently, they offer tapas between the hours 5 - 9pm. The food was very delicious but we found the portion size somewhat small. The cheese burger looked big but it wasn't filling at all. I had some sample prosciutto and that was really good. They cut it very thick. The prosciutto was very moist and was very very tasty. There are plenty of parking in front of the restaurant after 6 pm. Also this restaurant has a patio. Great for the summer time. Highly recommend coming here. Only cons is the location being out of no where in an industrial area.

Yelp
There was no line, I walked in to an empty store and get turned away because they're only serving the elderly until 11am... Or maybe it's just that I'm not the right demographic of customer to be served here since the people in these photos walked in minutes later and were served, you can see the package in hand in the second photo, no it was not 11am yet. Thanks @tworiversmeats

Yelp
Great place, yummy meats! Located near the auto mall in North Van. Great selections of fresh meats in the butchery section. Great menu to stay in and eat as well. Limited seated but fast turnover. We ordered the meat and cheese charcuterie, came with selections of cheese, cured meats, pickles and crostini. I also ordered a side salad. I enjoyed it all. My hubby ordered the burger with bacon cheese and fries. Great fries and also took a bite out of the burger that also was tasty. I love the atmosphere, all stuff was pretty helpful. Also serves beer! You get free popcorn while you wait for your food!!!

Yelp
We dropped by Two Rivers for a late lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon after hearing about it from a co-worker.  There is a glass display taking up most of the space on the right displaying all of their meats and sausages, and the eatery on the left. I was pleasantly surprised to see a number of female staff working both the eatery and meats department, as I have always seen men in other shops.  We originally wanted to try their ramen but were told it was a seasonal item that would return in the fall/winter... boo! Undeterred, we settled for the knuckle sandwich, smashed potato side salad, and 1/2 brined chicken. The chicken was juicy and fall off the bone... so tasty! Skin was crispy and the seasoning was delicious. The sandwich was tasty as well and I enjoyed the sauerkraut contrast with the meat. However, it was a big sandwich and by the end I was wishing for some sort of dipping sauce/extra sauce as the bread was starting to become overwhelming. The salad was unfortunately pretty average and we wouldn't order it again.  Can't wait to come back in the fall for their ramen noodles to see how it compares with the Japanese versions!

Yelp
I have nothing but good things to say about Two Rivers. I have stopped by to grab some steaks for dinner probably at least 5 times now and I keep coming back. In my most recent visit, my eyes feasted on a Brant Lake Wagyu Ribeye. I just had to get it (my mind drooled in that moment). We made it in our Anova Precision® Cooker NANO and followed a recipe right from the Anova Culinary website: Seasoned with salt and pepper, then 2 hours at 54°C. However, instead of pan-searing, we flame-seared it (and by "we" I mean fiance). One bite and WOW! Buttery, foodgasmic, melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. IT WAS SO GOOD! I am still drooling reminiscing about it. Seriously THE BEST steak we've made in our sous vide so far! It's also the priciest steak we've made but WORTH EVERY PENNY. Two Rivers has high quality, premium steaks! Worth checking out. One of my favourite butcher shops.. highly recommend!

Yelp
I ordered a cheese burger, fries and a ginger ale for a total of $21,00 What struck me first about the burger was not the taste but rather the texture of the patty. It was mildly stiff and hard meat to chew. I was not expecting that. I give this burger a 2/5. Fries were amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
Omg how did I miss the place last time I was in the area? I order meat from two rivers via spud all the time but had no idea they had their own restaurant and butcher shop! Was so excited and the flavour did not disappoint! They need more bison and elk on the menu though and available at the butcher shop. Value 4.5/5 Atmosphere 4.5/5 Service 4/5 Quality 5/5 18/20

Yelp
If you identify as a meat eater, boy this place is for you. We were planning to visit Park Royal so naturally we had to look up places in North and West Van to have a meal at, and this name kept popping up on IG! People raved about the food here, and we were not disappointed. Tucked into an industrial area, this place is half butcher shop selling the freshest meats, and half cafeteria with delicious options. We tried the beef tartare (seriously, what better place to eat beef tartare than at the butcher), and the Boss Burger, featuring two 60-day aged beef patties with melted cheese. The beef tartare was amazing. It looked like a lot of meat for the bread that comes with it, but nope, you can eat it right up. The burger was super flavourful and one of the best I've had in a long time. The brioche bun was soft with a slight crunch from the char along the sides - perfect against the meatiness. We also got a side of Tallow fries which were fried with a great crunch. I am going to have to come back to pick up some meats to make something delicious at home, but also to try their other sandwiches and steak (!) before I shop!!

Yelp
Great casual food! The only downside is that they can get really busy and no seats to enjoy the food. There were a few long communal tables plus patio and taller seats on a long communal table. We had the burger and fries and that was delicious! The burger was done perfectly, it has a nice char and very juicy! The hotdog was good too, but it was very salty to me. We had a side of chicaron, it was good but I wished it can be a bit more tender. Only a couple choices on the kids menu. Free popcorns!

Yelp
There are so many things to like about this place - from the big to the little things. -Ambience - open air indoor and outdoor seating, modern and clean kitchen and space. Love it! - Parking is plentiful and free. - Fresh meat cuts are fairly priced and locally sourced in the butcher shop part of this venue. - Customer service is super friendly and shared a good chemistry between coworkers. Everyone seems to be happy to help each other out and to genuinely enjoy working there, and the people we interacted with were gracious and knowledgeable about what they offered and the background behind it. - The food. Got the waygu hanger steak and it was delicious. Clean meat, perfectly cooked and had a great flavor. It really didn't need the herbed butter on the top, but my friend enjoyed that all the same. Ramen was good, but what made it great and unique was the use of pork cracklins vs basic chasiu - it added a great texture to everything and was a treat. Chicken sandwich was good - loved the cheese, tender chicken and flavors though felt it could use a subtle 'sour' note - even some red onions to contrast some of the flavors. Pork cracklins had a lot of cumin and was well seasoned, though a little overcooked, but still tasty. And everything was reasonably priced, especially for the quality! - The water - ok - weird thing to notice and comment about, but the water here is soo good! Which makes me even more happy and convinced about the cleanliness and quality of this place if this is the base of what they cook and clean with. - No waste - they use and reuse everything... from reusing left overs to make meat pies, etc. or using the fat from their meat to fry their fries, pop yummy popcorn, or even beignets. A definite fan of this place and wouldn't hesitate to recommend or come back here again to eat or maybe even try my hand at grilling some meat on my own.

Yelp
FOOD / SERVICE / PRICING Was there for lunch. You place your order at the cashier then they give you number and they bring the food over to you. Good service! Their pricing is somewhat high but their food is really good. I paid $13 for a burger and $4 for fries (before taxes). They also have a little bucket of popcorn to take with your order. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes I would! I want to go back and try their fried chicken :)
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Omigod I am in love with this place! Not only can I get hard to find cuts and types of meat fresh but also from local farmers but the prices are reasonable. It's nice to know that what I'm taking the time to create at home is the same protein I may be eating at one of the great restaurants in our city. Let's get down to their menu though which is super drool worthy. So far I've had the pork crackling, which is essentially like crispy pork belly bites, the beef tartare, cheesy poofs (super yummy cheesy bread with pepperoni aioli)spicy red cabbage slaw (not really spicy at all), and the dry aged cheeseburger. The burger was so tender and made to order which is hard to find. Seriously everything was so good. The only thing I'd skip next time is the slaw. It was a bit watery and some of the other veg dishes look worthy of testing. Also, don't make the mistake of not checking what the meat special of the day is. Last time I went it was duck confit, one of my favourite things to eat, but because I didn't ask I didn't know!! Don't make my mistakes! Big plus is they have a liquor license. Come down, get a bite to eat and pick up something to cook for later!

Yelp
Amazing selection and quality. If they don't have what you're looking for they can bring it in for you. Cured meats and deli selection is equally amazing. Be sure to try they restaurant as well. They cook over an open wood fire grill and feature daily sandwich, meat pie, and steak specials. Ramen is an unexpected item and again amazing! This place has quickly become very busy, especially during lunch time, and parking can be a challenge.

Yelp
We really wanted to like this place more, but felt that the food didn't quite live up to the hype. We don't mind paying higher prices for quality meat (we get all of our meat from pasture-raised, grassfed, and organic sources) but $55 for two burgers, one side of fries, and a non-alcoholic beverage just seemed a bit much. At that price, and for all the rave reviews given to this place, we expected juicy, delicious burgers...but what we got was super lean, rubbery, under-seasoned meat. The only part of the burger that had any flavor at all was the sauce and the sweet pickles. The meat had zero flavor and a chewy consistency, the bacon didn't taste like much of anything, and the only reason I could tell there was cheese (and we paid $2 extra per person for double cheese) is because I could see it. I hate to say it, but it kinda seemed like school cafeteria food. The meat was extremely lean and could have used a good dose of it's own fat (and some salt) to give it flavor. It was also pre-formed in some kind of press, and the bacon was pre-cooked and reheated on the grill, making all of the meat dry. For a $21 burger, it was pretty underwhelming. What's funny is that our favorite burger on the North Shore is from The Gull, where they use Two Rivers Meats! They grind it fresh daily and you can definitely tell the difference. The wait staff at Two Rivers was very nice, as was one of the chefs who asked us how our burgers were. I didn't feel it was the appropriate place or time (it was packed at 4:30pm on a Saturday) to share my honest thoughts, but I hope they will take things into consideration and strive to make the taste of their food match their prices!

Yelp
I have Devoured more then a few burgers and fries here. Delicious now everyone's expectations of a burger is different my preference is an amazing fresh bun not too big and really good beef. I do not need th bacon, cheese or sauce unless it is triple O sauces and well that burger is my idea of fast food. Nothing like the burger here. The patty is hand made no processed fillers nice and juicy. I have also purchased the ground beef, ground turkey (frozen) and the mushroom stock. All amazing. Worth the trip from the other side of the bridge.
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
This is a great place for lunch on the North Shore! The meats are plenty and of the highest quality. The menu has a lot to choose from...maybe too many good choices! The burger and sandwiches are soooo good. They have daily special feature items. The service is good, fast, and friendly. They have inside and outdoor seating. Parking during lunch can be tough though, so come early or after the lunch rush. Lastly, the architecture on the outside of the building, with the big timber beams and iron plates adds to the west coast vibe. Great place!
google avatar

Becky M.

Yelp
This is the right choice if you enjoy meats. The atmosphere is open and there are many different types of meat to select from. You can go for a charcuterie plate or one of several sandwiches made with their freshly cured or cooked local meat. I appreciate that they offer beer, wine, soda and other drinks to go along with your meal. I'd love to return and try some of the other things on the menu. We had the beef tartare and the smoked beef sandwich. Both were delicious.

Mersedeh F.

Yelp
65-day dry aged beef burger Hands down one of the BEST burgers I've had in Vancouver! Real meat on charcoal, grilled to perfection! Yummmmmmyy alll the way!! A must try!
google avatar

Lukasz P.

Yelp
I don't often write reviews while still sitting at the table. The Boss Burger is so amazingly delicious that I was compelled to. Two patties of 60 day dry aged beef with bacon and cheddar; perfectly cooked and topped with everything that you would need. Paired well with Tallow Fries that, like the burger, take things to another level. Go Big or Go Home.. This thing is amazing.
google avatar

Joshua T.

Yelp
The best meat shop on the north shore, that doubles as a super sick little restaurant. They have such great burgers and steaks that they cook fresh for you. They dry ave their own meat there as well so if you're ever in the market for the best dry aged steak of your life, go to two rivers meats

Banadoura M.

Yelp
I have good and bad luck with having meat delivered during Covid. I use Spud so they too are implicated in the problem I have had recently. I received a chuck roast from Two Rivers for which I paid nearly $29. It arrived with a fat plug so large, and marbling so profound, I cut it up and salvaged what I could for soup. The meat tastes great....I concur, that all their meat is tasty. But the fat issue makes the price unreasonable....well, look at the photos.
google avatar

Adam E.

Yelp
I had the burger with cheese and bacon and tallow fries and a ginger ale. The burger meat was well cooked over a wood fire, so flavour is good. However, they need to improve on the bun as it disintegrated under the sogginess of the meat. Sosa is good, and not too sweet. Overall...very good, but not as good as Moderne Burger on West Broadway.

Powell M.

Yelp
Damn do I love this place. The burger is one of the best in town. IMO a burger is all about the beef and that's why I prefer to order burgers from butchers and meat shops as opposed to fancy restaurants and GASP, fast food. don't get me wrong, it is indeed a bit pricy but im willing to pay for quality. life is too short, spend a bit more and put better things in you body. fries are also very good (ok, not everything i put in my body is good - fries are always worth making an exception) The roast chicken is good but not great. tbh i have yet to really find a roast chicken that absolutely blows my mind. i can make a decent one at home so whenever I fork out cash i'm usually disappointed. the steak tartare is killer - the creamy egg yolk and pickley caper round out the high quality meat and help to cut through the fat. the ramen was a cute idea but meh - stick to one of van's many great ramen shops that actually specialize in the dish and you'll be better off

Yelp
This is a hidden gem!!! U can buy fresh cut meat and have a wonderful lunch and beer. Definitely a place to take friends and company!!!

Yelp
Best French Fries ever! Amazing baked beans! But don't get the burger. We were so excited when this place opened as we have always loved Two Rivers meat. You would think the burger would be absolutely fantastic (and for $13.00 with no sides, it should be), but sadly, it's not. The first time we had it, it was quite good but lacked that fresh, meaty taste that you would expect from in-house ground dry aged beef. It was very edible, but not great. The second time both my companion and I couldn't get any beef taste from it, and the texture was dry and bland, exactly like a frozen burger patty you would buy at the grocery store..... someone is not paying attention here. On a positive note, the french fries - $4.00 as a side and worth every penny - were fried in beef tallow and really thin and crispy, and the baked beans were cannellini beans in chipotle sauce with ground sausage, like a ragu sauce. Really really good. I'll go back but I won't have the burger. When we informed the cook, he just shrugged and because I want them to up their burger game, I told the Manager, who seemed very surprised, but thanked me for mentioning it. I really hope they fix it, because it could be so much better!

Yelp
I had read some excellent reviews of this place that dry ages their beef and opened a restaurant section. Went there for lunch with a group of friends. Some of us had the burger and some had the meat pie. Everyone loved their food. Very open space and communal seating using stools. Very high ceiling and lots of light. Very warm greeting on arrival and lots of help with ordering. Menu is not extensive, but I think they focus on what they do right. The meat patty in the burger was dry aged beef and it was exceptional. Price for the burger was competitive with other gourmet burger places although their patty is superior. The fries were damn good. Meat pies were yummy. You can order beer with your meal. They have a charcuterie plate but that doesn't come with cheese due to food regulations. The place was pretty busy. Definitely will head back there for a meal.

Yelp
The prices for take home meat here are exorbitantly high. I paid $25 for two sausages and only 200 grams of salami, what a rip off. The service here is the opposite of what you would find at any other butcher shop - surly and slow. I was waiting in line at the counter for ages without being acknowleged while there were three staff people standing around doing nothing. There are plenty of friendly local butcher shops that get your order done in a hurry, and don't charge you an arm and a leg for quality meats. There is no need to go all the way to the North Shore for nonexistant service and way overpriced food.

Yelp
I don't live in Vancouver but I visit frequently. I emailed Two Rivers about a gift certificate for my brother who lives there, and within an hour received a response from Shawna that answered all my questions, and offered helpful suggestions. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends. Can't wait til my next visit so I can try their products myself! Thanks, Shawna and the Two Rivers team!

Yelp
My husband and I were there today. We loved it, absolutely tasty cheese burger. Fries and side salad were yummy too. They also offer you popcorn while waiting for your food. We also purchased fresh extra lean meat from them. We highly recommend this place. It has reserved parking spots as well. Only minor recommendation, maybe it'll be a good idea to have ketchup on the table so you don't keep having to ask for extra; just a suggestion

Yelp
I just had the Ramen and man, it was DELICIOUS! Only one kind which worked for me, it had all the fixings you want in your ramen bowl. I am definitely coming back!

Yelp
Great food. The Butcher steak was a Flat Iron, super tender. Bone Broth was great. Just came before the lunch rush but they were really quick.

Yelp
Totally ridiculous overpriced! Bought a couple steaks that were dried out. No taste, no good crap. Two thumbs down.

Yelp
Cannot recommend this place enough! Amazing food, great prices and a beautiful environment. I've been here four times so far, and every time the quality and flavors of meats blow my mind. Support local and enjoy amazing food!

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere. Meat shop is nice but have seen other butcher having more choice Quality of the meat is fine but pricy For the snack/restaurant: Concept is ok. Service is quick and proper Food is decent but not flabbergasting. Fries are soft and cripsy but would prefer 2 deep fried session and thicker Maybe hand cut would make it more like a meat workshop Burger tastes good but was overcooked Pricy as well and minimum salad or fries should be included when ordering a burger (for instance) Disappointing that they did not have the tartare and still for an obscure reason Sold out in sweet treats ???!!!! The menu is very small and seriously, if you are a meat place, why having Ramen on your menu? When you could have other multiple choice to offer from the meat selection they have and in a city that offer real deal when it comes to japanese dishes I guess this concept of butcher restaurant has to be revisited. More focused on the meat they sell rather than a use of space
