Awesome Michigan BBQ Shack. We both ordered the Burnt Ends Combo, with Pimento Mac and Cornbread Muffin. The food was delicious, well prepared, served hot, and overall great. The staff greet you when you come in, and they seem genuinely friendly and happy (a huge positive sign!). Staff - Very Friendly and Efficient Cleanliness - Clean establishment; Kitchen looks great! Price - The Combo is the way to go. Right on point for a BBQ Shack. Seating - Limited by design. Portions - Solid 1/2lb, I was stuffed. Parking - Plenty. Location - Great area! Based off this initial visit, I definitely understand how they won "Best MI BBQ" this year. We will definitely drop in again when we pass through!

2024-10-15 I had not heard of this place prior to our visit today but a friend at work asked if I like BBQ and he drove us there. Seeing the inside and hearing his accolades for it I was excited to eat! They did not disappoint! 5 Stars all around! I copied his Brisket sandwich choice. I had the beans as my side. Everything was great!

Google
People were not kidding when they said this was the best BBQ IN TOWN! This stuff is so good. The recently catered an event where I work and, wow, just wow, it is so phenomenal. Maybe the easiest 5 star review ever. If you are looking for good BBQ, get Two Scotts.

Google
Two Scotts Barbecue in Grand Rapids, MI, is a carnivore's haven, and my recent visit left me craving more of their mouthwatering delights. I challenged the gentleman taking my order - "I'm from Texas. How proud are you if your brisket?" Undaunted, he replied "oh, we're pretty proud of it!" I ordered it and the star of the show was undoubtedly the brisket – a carnivorous masterpiece. Each bite delivered a symphony of flavors, and the tenderness was beyond perfection. He had good reason to be proud. Accompanying the brisket were the forkable baked beans, a delightful twist to the traditional barbecue side. The mini-diced mustard potato salad added a zesty kick that complemented the meat exquisitely. The sauces were a revelation – the Mustard-based Dog Sauce and House Sauce were impeccable, elevating the barbecue experience to new heights. Beyond the delectable dishes, the service at Two Scott's Barbecue was a standout feature. The team exuded enthusiasm, showcasing a genuine passion for serving top-notch barbecue. Friendly faces and a jovial atmosphere created an inviting dining experience. It was evident that the staff took pride in delivering not just food but an overall enjoyable time. In conclusion, Two Scott's Barbecue is a gem in Grand Rapids, offering a carnivorous feast accompanied by exceptional service. If you're a barbecue enthusiast seeking a memorable dining experience, this spot should be at the top of your list.

Google
After a morning at the Zoo, we decided to try Two Scotts and it paid off. It was around 12:00, there was a line, but it moved quickly. Nobody in our party of 4 had been there before and everyone had good food. The portions are the right size, the meat was cooked perfectly and still juicy. They have a nice outside seating area. My only drawback is the coleslaw was not great. I’m glad I got it on the side and not on my sandwich. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area

Marc Williams

Google
Wonderful customer service. They are very cheerfull, friendly, helpful, kind, and most importantly know their menu! I wanted the brisket, but it is extremely popular and they were sold out! Make sure to get here early so you can get yours! If they are out of brisket I would reccomend the pulled chicken or pulled pork sandwiches. The Mac n cheese and mushrooms sides are nasty don't try them unless you like the taste of MREs

Kylie Roel

Google
Great service; friendly and quick. They have a nice patio area in the back. Went during a lunch rush and it only took a couple minutes after ordering to get our food. I had the pulled pork, mac n chz, and corn bread; all soooo delicious! and the sauces… mhmmm! I will definitely be craving this and will be back soon.

Google
Best mac-n-cheese I've ever had and will probably ever have! Nice kick to it and flavorful! I was blown away. Also, the tots are killer! The slaw was different from anything I've had. My husband hates slaw, and he likes it and ate half. I'm visiting from out of state, and when I come back, this will definitely be my go-to spot. Friendly staff. Different types of sauce to choose from at your own convenience! Love the atmosphere! I'll be back before I leave town!

Olivia Y.

Yelp
Delicious BBQ! Came here for lunch (check dates and hours as they are more limited than you may think). You order at the counter and self serve your sauces. Husband got a pulled pork sandwich with their homemade tater tots and their special root beer drink. I got just a 1/2 pound of brisket. Meats were deliciously Smokey, flavorful and , tender with enough chew/bite. Coleslaw was average (light on the mayo, slightly citrusy) and tots were yummy! I always love root beer - theirs is more light/bright flavored. Inside is small with counter seating. We will be back!

Ryan M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing brisket!!! The pimento mac and cheese is some of the best Mac I've ever had! Very friendly staff. And nice small location but felt welcoming inside.

Laura C.

Yelp
Fantastic bbq. Great sauces. All our sides were delicious. The tater tots are extremely good and the kids loved the Mac n cheese.

Jimmy N.

Yelp
It's a small local spot with delicious food. The food here was outstanding, and I highly recommend their homemade tots and Mac n cheese. However, I was slightly disappointed they gave me sliced toast as opposed to the brioche bun. I usually assume that it comes with the brioche but I'll ask for it next time. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely go again.

Jennifer V.

Yelp
I ordered pulled chicken smoked baked beans and an extra potato salad the pulled chicken was not pulled it was chunky big chunks of chicken nowhere near pulled this smoke baked beans were okay at best and the potato salad the potatoes were almost raw not cooked all the way. I will not be going back that was my first and last time somebody need to teach them what pulled chicken is supposed to look like and how to cook potatoes until they're done

Andorra S.

Yelp
Awesome ribs and mac & cheese!! There were a couple of small tables and a little patio, but this is mostly a take out place. I liked that parking was easy. I can't wait to go back again!

Katy C.

Yelp
I don't usually crave BBQ but it was on my mind recently, so I decided to check out Two Scotts again since I hadn't had it since 2015! Their online ordering system was super easy to use and I was able to select a time for pickup. There was a short line when I arrived, but I told the person at the cash register that I was there for an online order pickup. I did end up waiting a bit past my pickup time, but it was the beginning of the lunch rush so totally understandable. There is no indoor seating or dining room, but they do have a few picnic tables set up in the back off of the parking lot. They were all full when I was there, so you may need to get your order to go or have a car picnic! Whenever I try a BBQ place I always get the brisket as my baseline order, then add anything else that sounds good. In this case, it was sausage and wings. Plus a side of pimento mac and cheese, because I love mac and cheese! I love that they have several different sauces to choose from - I LOVE sauce! I got one of each: house BBQ, hot BBQ, South Carolina mustard, dog sauce, and verde. They give suggestions for pairing each sauce + meat, which was handy. I ended up loving the dog sauce, which is mayonnaise based, so not for everyone, and also the South Carolina mustard sauce as I'm a big fan of the mustard based sauces. Now on to the food - everything was great, but my favorite was the brisket. It was perfectly smoked and juicy, and not dry at all. It didn't even need any sauce, and to me, that's the mark of a tasty brisket. I also loved the sausage! The wings were big and meaty and also tasty, but I would have preferred them dry instead of tossed with sauce. I'm not sure if that was a misunderstanding on my end due to the online ordering, but I would still order them again in the future. Everyone working there was super friendly despite it being really busy. I can definitely see Two Scotts becoming my go-to spot for BBQ! They also have some interesting specialty sandwiches that sounded great.

Sam O.

Yelp
For Grand Rapids MI the bbq menu is decent, there is certainly better bbq out there, southern states do it best. I would rate this place higher if they had better hours of service. Even on Saturdays they are only open for 4 hrs....closed by 3p! Wtf. Most days out of the week they are only open for 4 hrs. Such a small window of time...what about dinner time, people eat bbq for dinner too and you can't order from Two scotts around dinner time.

Eric K.

Yelp
Two Scotts, in my opinion, is the best, most consistent BBQ joint in GR. #1. Excellent, excellent BBQ. I'm not going to tell you what I like, because I don't want you to order it and then have it be out when I come to get it. Service is good, and the ambience is appropriate for a BBQ joint. The BBQ is great with sauce, or without, but their housemade sauces are all very good.

G P.

Yelp
Really good food but WAAAAAYYYYYYYY TOOOOOOO EXPENSIVE, my other BBQ fave sells twice the food for the same price........

Randy M.

Yelp
Amazing burnt ends. Can't have enough of them! The brisket chili is also a great choice. Finish with North Woods root beer.

Amber M.

Yelp
YUMMM! I was craving bbq and man did this hit the spot! I ordered pulled pork sandwiches with a side of pimento Mac n cheese! They were so good! The meat is super flavorful! It is so worth getting, even as take out! They have a nice set up for ordering food safety. Only downfall is there hours, they close super early which is tough if you work.

Becky H.

Yelp
Stopped here based on some other reviews and it was close to where we were headed. I am so glad we did and we will be back!! The burnt ends were let's just say the best I've ever had!! Sometimes I find them too burnt and dry but nope these were moist and smoky and delicious! Speaking of Smokey- the mushrooms... I just didn't know that mushrooms could be smoked. I mean sure anything can be smoked, but wow!! From when the fork went up to my mouth to the last gulp you would inhale that Smokey taste. The mushrooms just held the smokiness so much it was incredible!! The pulled pork was very flavorful, some of the best in MI (according to my husband). Not dry at all, again very smokey! Try the sauces too! I was caught off guard but ordered one I think with a horseradish!

Diana D.

Yelp
I got the black ends brisket and coleslaw. Loved the brisket. Slaw not so much. I was expecting a Carolina slaw but this was more like traditional. The brisket was so good that I didn't even need sauce. Seating was limited but I would definitely eat there again.

Tricia B.

Yelp
The pulled pork and chicken were cooked to perfection and the mac & cheese was very tasty. I would have given them 5 stars but I was not a big fan of their sauce, get rid of the horse radish.

Randy S.

Yelp
This is by far the best barbecue you can find in Grand Rapids Michigan, hours are between 11 and 3, so you better be hungry early in the day, their sauces are outstanding, the meats and side dishes are outstanding, you just can't go wrong with Two Scott's!!

Stephen F.

Yelp
Best BBQ in Grand Rapids! Just a shame they're not open every night for dinner! The Mac'n Cheese might be one of my favourites ever!

Kyle V.

Yelp
Our office had a large catering order for lunch and it was fantastic. The only hiccup was that they forgot our potato salad but they called us and delivered it all the way to our office even though we picked the rest up earlier. The sauce options were great for everyone to have their pick. The dog sauce was actually very tasty with all the meat and corn bread. Overall, our office will use this a lot more and I definitely recommend trying it out. I'm looking forward to stopping by and having a meal on their patio as well.

Pat P.

Yelp
In the spirit of helping our local restaurants stay afloat we ordered take out from Two Scott's BBQ. Delicious!! We each ordered #3 a combo with a choice of 3 meats two sides bread and pickles all made in house. We chose burnt ends, brisket, chicken, ribs and pork. All were excellent. We had a choice of pre packaged sauces. There are many side choices. We each had the pimento mac n cheese which is lightly flavored with pimento and is creamy and delicious. Their homemade tots are yummy and we tried the smoked mushrooms which were phenomenal. Lots of food for $16 each and includes a beverage. We left an 80% tip! Friendly staff and efficient pickup process!

Anderson K.

Yelp
The food is well presented and the smoke flavor comes through in every bite. The counter top service is friendly and inviting. As most BBQ joints the menu is straight to the point but I find they always have a special that doesn't disappoint. This was my second visit and I must say you have to order the sausage. It will keep bringing you back. It's a small cozy environment with mello ambiance. Limited seating inside with large picnic table outside. I short it a star due to their serving size portions lack my big man stature.

Ethan L.

Yelp
Two Scotts catered our wedding and they did a wonderful job! We had the pulled chicken, pulled pork, mac-n-cheese, and potato salad and all of it was amazing. Scott was very friendly and responsive when we had questions, and they provided outstanding service.

Scott T.

Yelp
Yummy place to get a sandwich or some smoked meats. They had some fun draft soda drinks on tap as well.

Xu A.

Yelp
*visited in 2019, forgot to finish my draft* Best BBQ in town! Make sure you get here before they open at 11 because we got there just after and there was already a line! We love the burnt ends here - melts in your mouth tender and wonderful! Tip: Order on the Leonard side and pick up on the other end in the building.

Hannah M.

Yelp
Great hole in the way type place. We had the brisket and it was extremely well cooked. The whole place is upbeat and you can tell the food is cooked fresh and with care. The only they we would have changed was having a better bun instead of the two pieces of white bread for our sandwiches. Homemade ginger ale too! We will be back!!

James S.

Yelp
First off I wish I saved time to take photos. But...I was too hungry. I finally made my way over to Two Scotts after hearing so much about it. The verdict is in, they're worth the hype. I took their advice with by having the brisket with their dog sauce, the carolina sauce with the chicken and the ribs with their bbq sauce. I can tell you as someone from Texas that Two Scotts does something that a lot of bbq places don't do. They've taken parts from Texas, Carolina and STL and made it into something unique. You can taste all the different regions of bbq at Two Scotts. If you can't travel to all these places, visit Two Scotts to taste these different regions of American bbq.

Sal B.

Yelp
After much anticipation I finally got to 2 Scotts for a meal. I've had their place on my list for a couple years so I was pretty jacked to try them out. Needless to say, I had very high expections after rave reviews and many HIGH yelp reviews. Well, I'll break down the positives and not so great items, but I left a little underwhelmed. I truly wanted this lunch to be a grand slam. Not so much... I arrived on a Friday around 11:50am finding about 5 people in line. Folks were eating inside and picking up take out orders. It was pretty busy. Even the GR fire dept pulled up and placed an order. Nice to see a local business hoppin. I ended up eating outside on the back patio deck. Nice space. I liked the feel for the small corner operation. Maybe spruce up the nearly empty wood cage next to the picnic tables? Customer service: The young fella taking my order at the counter was friendly and answered questions politely. He was hustling and getting beverages for customers A+ 5* for the kid. Give him a raise. On the other hand, the gentleman slicing the brisket and building the meals was a little grouchy. I asked him a question which didn't seem to elicit a response. When I asked for a bag, he grabbed it and helped me load my box but didn't say anything. Bad day? Maybe. I have them too. But when you're interacting with customers at the glass, BE NICE! Pretend that you appreciate me being there to buy your food! 2* for Capt. Grouchy Pants. Food: I ordered the 3 meat meal. Was disappointed with the small serving size. Brisket, chicken and burnt ends. The brisket was pretty good with a decent amont of smoke. Moist and flavorful. Didnt make me forget my name, but good. The burnt ends were also good but I don't enjoy heavy sauce. I'd order these two items again. The chicken, however, was a big disappointment. Over the top seasoning/saltiness and dry. I didn't like the sauce being appiled. I'd rather do that if I want a touch of sauce. (which I usually don't). And, I didn't get much smokiness from the chicken, either. I make smoked chicken on my Weber Smokey Mountain that is moist and full of true smokey flavor. With a simple rub. Something isn't working with your chicken program. Would not order again. Sides: Tatertots and pimento man n cheese. The tots were a rectangular shape offering that were ok, but could be good with some seasoning. Instead, they were just average. The pimento cheese mac n cheese was also slightly better that average. Get some zip, some pizzazz involved! Oh well, underwelmed, just "ok." Here's my standard for smoked meat joints: I want the protein selections to make me want to come back. To push me to recomend to friends. I might recommend 2 Scotts to a friend, but not enthusiastically. Some good. Some blah. I'll come back at some point to try again.

Valerie L.

Yelp
Small little restaurant staff is very friendly, nothing fancy you can lick your fingers (and you will). Only downfall is that they close around 2 or 3 when they are out of meat.

Darius R.

Yelp
Taste so good it'll make you go home and slap your mother I put that on my kids......that's the review go throw your wallet at them!

Jessica G.

Yelp
Two Scott's is one of those hidden gems. Located in off of Leonard right across from long road distillers. The meats are legit and the tots are tasty. You won't be disappointed as they smoke everything in house. They make their own pickles and the mushrooms are really great too!

Marvin J.

Yelp
Ever order carry out, intend to only taste it in the car but then end up eating most of it on the way home? Welp, that's what happened for my first experience with Two Scott's. That's why I don't have any pictures of what I ordered. I have to say....might be the BEST Barbeque I've ever had (outside of my own or my Pops'). Not kidding one bit. It is that good. I ordered burnt ends and rib tips; both came with a slice of white bread (standard issue for real bbq). First time having burnt ends and it most definitely won't be the last time. Smoky flavor, tender and hot like they just pulled it off the grill. You get pickle slices in the box and I don't know what they do to 'em, but they're especially good as well. Sweet and sour. I also ordered the collard greens and those were excellent as well. I didn't see corn bread on the menu which is the only thing that would have made the greens better. And finally, the sauce. They have a few options. I tried the house sauce and the hot sauce. This was the only thing that I wasn't blown away by but both were good compliments to the meats that really didn't need sauce at all. The hot sauce was pretty mild and seemed to have a honey mustard base and the house sauce was tasty enough. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and seemed to actually enjoy being there. You better believe this is my new go to spot for que. The chains that have popped up around here don't compare at all.

Chris H.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is very well thought out. It is a small build, but designed exceptionally well. Even when busy the line flows very well. There is 3 two people tables and seats for another 6-7 people in front. There is additional seating outside for 20 people. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with palmetto Mac n Cheese, baked beans, and coleslaw. The Pulled Pork was exceptionally good as was the bun it was on. The Mac n Cheese was ok, nothing to write home about. The Baked Beans were bad, almost uneatable! The Coleslaw was almost as bad as the baked beans. The bbq sauce was a vinegar base and pretty good. The Dog Sauce, a sweet mustard and mayo mix, is excellent. The service was very well organized! Overall I give them 3 1/2 stars. If not for the bad sides this place could be 5 stars. However to me the sides are just as important. Therefore with rounding the review is an average 3 stars. Would I return? Yes just for the meat. LOL I've said no to 4 stars, but yes to a 3. So far my G.R BBQ Iist is: 1. Pit Stop 2. Slow's 3. Daddy Pete's 4. Two Scott's! Sorry no photos!

Jennah K.

Yelp
I ordered to go some mouth watering burnt ends from Scott's BBQ. I became accustom to southern food from staying summers and Holidays in Oklahoma. Sweet home Oklahoma is where I learned what true burnt ends tasted like. At Scott's In Grand Rapids The bbq sauce is wet and zesty with every bite. The burnt ends are mixed with all of the brisket not just the fatty point of a smoked brisket, which is how true burnt ends are made. I prefer Scotts smoking method because I get different flavors and textures from not only the fatty point of the brisket but the brisket as a whole. I think you would like this too! Thanks Scott's BBQ in Grand Rapids for giving my tastebuds a flight back to Oklahoma! Enjoy the sunshine, Jennah

Chad H.

Yelp
This is the best BBQ in Grand Rapids and the surrounding area (possibly this side of the Mississippi). Pretty simply put. I've tried everything on the menu, the only item I don't care for is the sausage but everything else is amazing you can't go wrong. They just recently added specialty sandwiches to their menu and I would HIGHLY recommend. I had the burnt ends sandwich yesterday and caught myself inappropriately moaning while I was eating it, sue me! Actually don't do that but instead just go to Two Scott's and get BBQ. PS the mustard sauce is the best sauce l

Kathy H.

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing service. We have used their catering service for two high school graduations. The over delivered.

Matt K.

Yelp
Decent food. The seating is a little high toppy for me I'd recommend if your coming south through GR

Carl M.

Yelp
Awesome bbq! Wife had the pulled pork and I had burnt ends. Both were top notch. Great job!

Suzanne S.

Yelp
My review of Two Scotts is long overdue! Maybe this is because my spouse typically picks up Two Scotts and delivers it to me, so I'm not sure if I've ever actually been inside despite having food from here numerous times. Two Scotts opened shortly after I moved back to Grand Rapids from Detroit. While in the Motor City, I lived mere blocks from the to-go location of a famous Detroit barbecue shop. Addiction naturally ensued and I became very loyal (barbecue seems to be like war--you need to pick a side and fight to the death for your preferred purveyor). All that to say, I viewed Two Scotts with a skeptical eye. That ended and my allegiance changed forever at the first bite of their heavenly burnt ends and brisket! The pork is good, too. I appreciate that Two Scotts majors on the majors. The sides are fine, which is kind of cool because it gives the meat the starring role it deserves. Two Scotts is confident, delicious, and delivers world class barbecue without any distractions. If you're lucky enough to stop by before they've sold out for the day, you won't be disappointed.

Anthony B.

Yelp
Best bbq in the area. Can't go wrong. Try the dog sauce on the sausage, it will change your life.

Ryan M.

Yelp
Great food and you can't really go wrong with anything. It is on the pricier side and the hours are limited, but it is a great spot if you catch their restaurant hours, food truck or have them cater an event for you. The Pimento mac is the best side they have. So good!

Stephanie W.

Yelp
So good!!!! Food was quick too! Verde sauce wasn't too spicy but still had the touch! Honestly I loved everything. Ordered a medium sized mushroom and it was more than enough!

Justin P.

Yelp
Nothing special to be found here, ordered the number 3, figured it was kind of a smoker for 16 bucks, very disappointed. Their burnt ends ends weren't burnt or seemingly ends, tots were well fried, sauces were awesome, limited seating. Most likely won't be back, although I will probably try again at some point just to be sure. I'd reccomend slow's any day over this place cheaper and better. This place is for the hipster crowd.

Joe J.

Yelp
I can't recommend Two Scotts highly enough! Their barbecue is probably the best I've ever had, and I tend to be a snob about such things. Their St. Louis ribs and brisket are absolutely to die for. My then-fiance and I first tried Two Scotts while looking for a wedding caterer. They were the last stop we made, because we knew instantly that we wanted their food on our special day. We tried a few other barbecue places in the area, and were completely unimpressed. These guys are the real deal. There are actual smoke rings in the meat, and everything is tender and delicious. Even their sides are outstanding (especially the corn bread muffins). Our wedding was last weekend, and I have to give an extra shout-out to their catering service. They arrived promptly a little before the time we'd agreed on to allow set-up time. They brought plenty of food, and were ON TOP of the whole service situation. As soon as a pan was getting low, they would put a new one out. We were completely impressed by their service and professionalism. Oh, and they brought a ton of food. Most of our guests went back for seconds or thirds, and we still ended up with a TON of leftovers, a fact I most certainly won't complain about. We received countless compliments, with people saying it was by far the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. I'm just so glad we chose Two Scotts for our big day, and I look forward to visiting their restaurant again in the near future.

Erin M.

Yelp
I used Two Scott's for my wedding and it was amazing! Scott is very responsive and makes excellent bbq. The tasting was great but our wedding food was even better!! People couldn't stop talking about how good it is! Thanks, Scott!

Mike Y.

Yelp
Two Scott's BBQ is the best in Grand Rapids, period! I love their burnt ends. The baked beans are nice and spicy and the corn bread is like eating cake. Even though parking is tricky and indoor seating is limited, I still give them 5 stars

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Pulled pork is excellent. Cole slaw is great, too. Service was friendly. Hands down, the best BBQ I've had so far in Michigan. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich combo. My husband ordered the smoked sausage (meat only). We were both pleased. Note: This is a small building. Most of the dining space is outside. The interior dining space is limited, so if it is a rainy or cold day, you might want to plan on take-out. But, seriously, it is totally worth it.

David C.

Yelp
Great job catering our office party. We ordered per person with three meats and two sides. Food was fantastic and plentiful.

Kerry F.

Yelp
We are pretty picky about BBQ but 2 Scotts is off to a good start. Tried the pulled pork and the sausage (they were out of brisket and ribs but we'll be back to try them) the pork was very good nice and tender, the sausage was juicy. Also tried out the coleslaw and pimento mac-n-cheese. The mac-n-cheese I think would be best enjoyed there as it had congealed a bit by the time we made it home and the slaw is definitely more tart and vinegary vs sweet and creamy. Sad I forgot the cornbread will have to grab it next time. Tried all the sauces, but I didn't mark them. Could not tell between the house and the hot. Neither seemed "hot" but they were both good, my husband loved the mustard sauce.

willie o.

Yelp
Was visiting from Houston, and gave this place a try,, 5 stars , gold star, .the really do a great job with ribs and their sandwiches are great. Don't forget the tater tots and smoked mushrooms. Also was able to finish it later sat night and even Luke warm it was great.

Jeremy P.

Yelp
Had the 3 meat combo and it was a good amount of food for $16. The brisket and pulled pork was very good. Pulled chicken was good but better with the horseradish sauce. Mustard potato salad wasn't my favorite and beans were okay. Overall I'd give it a 4.4. Definitely get there early otherwise they run out of meat and you are waiting for a long time.
