The Best Miami Spice Brunch Menus 2022 | Eater Miami

"The kitchen at Two Sisters in the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables is led by chef Joseph Bidwell, offering a menu blending the bold flavors of Miami with classic American cuisine. The restaurant is serving a Spice brunch this year with three-courses running the gamut from acai bowl made with banana and vegan coconut yogurt parfait topped with granola and berries to fried chicken and waffles topped with a spice maple syrup sauce. Looking for a decadent ending to your meal? Cinnamon sugar churros with dulce de leche dip are the best bet." - Juliana Accioly

SoulEdge : Casterly Rock Arrived there for lunch. The Two Sisters restaurant has its own entrance, I like that. Inside there’s the living room dining area & the larger area. I sat in the dining area, Ana my server gave me good service. Right then, I ordered the Miracle Mile Burger with white cheddar cheese & Buffalo Chicken Wrap, they both come with fries. They both tasted excellent. Good on the presentation & seasoning. I took some pics of the hotel, good ambiance. Front desk helped with change & thus I gave Ana a $10.00 tip. This visit dedicated to my German American ex gf whom made an impact on my life & told me to Pay it forward. Cue in the songs: Someday by Sugar Ray & Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince by Taylor Swift. 🇺🇸🇩🇪🎸✊

SoulEdge: Eternal Sunrise Arrived there for breakfast, Maylin ( apologies if I got her name wrong) my server helped me out. I order Hot tea, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, it comes with fresh berries & Guava sauce. And side order of Chicken sausage. Although I do recommend eating the Ricotta pancakes with maple syrup, the Guava sauce was not to my liking. And the Chicken sausage was cooked to perfection. I noticed a Caucasian couple seated in the same enclosed area, one of them said a homosexual remark, as I walked by them. Mind you, I’m someone who keeps to himself & goes about my own business. I had to no choice but to say “why because I’m not looking at you wife?!” Talking about being needy for attention. I won’t let their toxic drama ruin it for me. All in all Excellent service, a $10.00 to tip to my server. This visit dedicated to my then ex German American gf. Update I dined there again I ordered Steak Frites & juice, Carlos was my server. Excellent portions & service. Cue in the songs: Always Remember Us this Way by Lady Gaga, “When it’s Over” by Sugar Ray, & Avril Lavigne - Let Me Go (Official Video) ft. Chad Kroeger 🇺🇸🇩🇪🎸✌️

Really loved the taste, quality, and presentation of the food especially considering that it was a restaurant in a hotel. Menu was value priced for lunch. We had a burger and a chicken cilantro sandwich which were both cooked to perfection, flavorful, and served nice & hot. Thought the decor could be a little better, lighting a little dimmer, and background music a little louder. Overall, highly recommend! You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Yelp
We stayed at the Hyatt and ate breakfast twice here. First day, great! I ordered the Tater Tot breakfast and it was really good. Service was good ad well. My boys got the buffet and there were plenty of options. The next morning we did the same exact thing, yet it was a completely different experience. I ordered the Tater Tot breakfast again and there were no pickled onion, the carnitas was just fat and it was disappointing and disgusting. Our waiter was not great as he totally ignored us, never checked in, never gave us more water, etc. My boys got the buffet again and food was never refilled, items tasted crappy and it was not worth the money. The inconsistency is unacceptable! Paying $60 for breakfast is stupid expensive already and when it is crap it makes the whole experience infuriating!!!

Yelp
We were recently at this restaurant at the Coral Gables Hyatt and had a nice breakfast buffet at Two Sisters as one of our weekend wedding events. All of the service staff was quite friendly and nice. The food was exceptional, fresh, and plentiful. A really nice environment to enjoy friends and family. Yosani Subirat, the Food and Beverage Manager was awesome to work with and he ensured his team was knowledgeable, friendly, and prepared for this morning event. Thank you to Yosani and the Hyatt F&B team!

Yelp
We stay here often, but this is my first review. As the pictures show, the breakfast buffet is very good--especially the cold items. The fruit offering is very fresh and the salmon with eggs, capers, onions, and sliced tomatoes is a Signature Hyatt item. I had to ask for chopped eggs. The hot items, with the exception of the bacon were so so. The coffee was strong and hot and our waitress kept our cups full the first day; not so full the second day. The service was just okay. Tonight is the first time we have eaten dinner in the hotel. My husband had the fish (salmon) stew that I thought was too fishy, but he thought it was good. We shared the Cubano sandwich that was plenty for two. It was on the dry side and I could not taste the mustard at all. Next time I would order the hamburger since most hotel restaurants do a pretty good job cooking burgers. I would give the Cubano two stars.

Yelp
I was a guest at the hotel, it was the 4th of July. Called the front desk to find out what time they were done serving breakfast, "12pm madam", it was 11:30am. We came down to the restaurant to find out they were done at 11, I had my mind set on those cuban Benedict. Long story short, the host seats us and gives us the breakfast menu, waiter comes tells us breakfast is done but he will make it happen as long as we don't mind waiting a bit longer. No problem, I want those cuban Benedicts, lol. Food came out, not even that long of a wait, and it was delicious. We also ordered the banana pancakes which were amazing, obviously we couldn't finish, it was too much food. Props to the waiter who accommodated us and booooo to the first host who turned us down! Fight for your cravings people!

Yelp
This place was very pretty!!!! Its located inside the Hyatt Regency in the Gables. If you are staying around one night or want some peace and quiet this place was great for Sunday brunch. There was different stations, meat and cheese, breads, cereal, fruits, oatmeal, breakfast wraps, eggs, potatoes, bacon, French toast and a la carte menu if you want something different form the buffet. The service was attentive and please try the mimosas.

Yelp
Took 45 minutes for my $18 avocado toast to come out and the place had only a few customers, most of which ordered the $25 buffet. Avocado toast had a smear of avocado and a huge pile of micro greens. Should have been called micro green toast.

Yelp
Two Sisters is the restaurant inside the Hyatt Coral Gables. I ordered room service and was so excited to stay in, relax after a long conference and enjoy a meal from the comfort of my room. But then the food arrived and I was sorely disappointed. I had ordered the Cubano sandwich which came with slow roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickle and mustard on Cuban bread with fries that I substituted for sweet potato fries. The $12 sandwich with an iced tea was $20 after room charge and tip. Fine, no worries but it was barely edible - for twenty bucks!! The roasted pork was not tender and the pickles were soggy rather than crisp. Unfortunately, the sweet potato fries also arrived soggy and were cold. I was tired and hungry so I ate half of the sandwich and tossed the rest out. There are SO many amazing restaurants in the area - please don't make the same mistake I did and waste your culinary experience dining here!

Yelp
I stayed at Hyatt Regency Coral Gables and dined at this wonderful restaurant, Two Sisters. Sorry for this late posting as I just started Yelping two days ago. Anyway, what I had was a big glass of california red, and the seafood paella. Wine was great! The glass was big enough for me to not only enjoy the wine but to smell the aroma as well. The Paella tasted very fresh and tasty. I will certainly go back to Two Sisters when I go back to Miami this winter or early spring of 2009.

Yelp
Went there on a Sunday for the living social voucher and have to say honestly, it was horrible. We were seated at our table and then abandoned. I had to ask the waitress for service. The coffee was served tepid and when the entres came out the chicken with waffles were in-edible. The waffles were hard and served at room temperature. The second entree, the Spanish skilled was served warm, even though it was nothing memorable We retuned the waffles and they redid them and this time they were accompanied by a slab of bacon butter on each section and in the side a container of cold maple syrup. Surprise, none of this came with the first order. This just goes to show the inconsistency of the kitchen. Asked for coffee a second time and received tepid again. On a positive note - the mimosas was good and so were the bacon strips included in the chicken waffles - they were crunchy. I honestly cannot believe how poor this overall experience was, especially considering that the restaurant is participating in a voucher that presumably gets new patrons to try the restaurant. If that is their normal service and food quality then they should not participate since it will only turn off patrons. Lastly there is a clear lack of management - from the wait staff to the cooks, they all need guidance. I hope they can get their act together as this restaurant deals with tourists and represents my city - Miami.. Being that it is a Hyatt property, it should have a better quality of product to offer.

Ate here for my 4th time and very dissatisfied all 4 times. Just not executed right. Poached eggs need to be POACHED!

Yelp
Came in with a Groupon and left with a great experience! I hadn't been inside the Hyatt Coral Gables in ages. It's been beautifully renovated, with an elegant, modern and very Coral Gables touch. It was early , around 530, so we had the restaurant pretty much to ourselves. Two Sisters is beautifully renovated too with marble countertops sleek and very in tune with the Alhambraish decor , we started off with a charcuterie that included chorizo, prosciutto, olives, grapes, strawberries, Brie and Manchego (too thickly sliced) along other unidentifiable cheeses and water crackers. It was a generous portion and varied selection for $22. I was actually feeling pretty full after the platter so I went ahead and order the mahi-mahi with risotto and shared it with my boyfriend. Resort it was a little low on salt but then my he my he was just right. We also ordered the Romaine salad which had slices of chorizo and Parmesan cheese very tasty. I would definitely return even without a Groupon!

Yelp
Had dinner with my boyfriend today, service was good Tony was very nice and the food was also very delicious. My food was served hot

Yelp
We dined through a Groupon which covered our 2 buffet brunches. There were only about 6 hot options. Basic breakfast food, but all tasted great. They also had fruit, bagels, cereal, and toast. We paid out of pocket $15 each for unlimited mimosas. However, it appears bc we ordered buffet, our waiter never really checked on us. We had to flag down servers for refills on our drinks. One of the people we flagged happen to be a manager, and once we spoke with him, or waiter was more than attentive. That being said, mimosas were pretty weak, so we needed several.
google avatar

Yelp
Very expensive and bad food. The least expensive glass of wine is $12. Ridiculous or what?? They achieved to make a very "fishy" and tasteless Mahi Mahi. The restaurant has only 7 tables. Bad!

Yelp
I ate breakfast here and wasn't impressed with HUEVOS RANCHEROS for 13.00. Essentially this is what they said it was: Scrambled eggs over a crispy corn tortilla with bacon and cheddar, served with salsa, sour cream and guacamole Just wasn't satisfied with it. i've had better guacamole and salsa from First Watch. On a positive note, I did see another customer enjoying what appeared to be a very yummy Poached Eggs over corn beef hash.. so maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I also got the Parfait and it was quite Yummy. Most definately better then the eggs I got. The next day when I didn't feel like dining alone I ordered the Parfait as room service and it was prepared with much less fruit and granola - so I had to have them remake it. Service was friendly, but not quite as on the ball as I would expect from a restaurant that wasn't busy.

Yelp
Came here for Sunday brunch . I was visiting from New York the place is in the Hyatt so the atmosphere is beautiful . The server was very kind however it literally took. 1 hour for my order to come out . I ordered bottomless mimosas but was only able to enjoy two since my waiter was missing a good majority of the time. He apologized and said its busy in the kitchen but when I looked around I barely saw any customers. I got the chicken and waffles . Waffles were cold , chicken was dry it's like they left my entree there forgot about it and was like ooohh shoot ! She ordered something . I'm literally giving this place a three since the manger comped my meal due to the lack of service and the waiter tried his best to make it better and make it a good experience even though it was a rough visit . If anyone visits here chose the buffet so you can be in and out .

Yelp
I hadn't been back to this restaurant in almost 10+ years... I first went when I was just a pre-teen on an early release day with my dad. He wanted to take me there because he had read it was good. Well, the same thing I didn't like about it then, I didn't like about it now- it was pretty empty. This restaurant has a great amount of space that could fit a lot of people and there were only a handful of other parties along with us. I'm assuming that not many people know about this place since it's tucked away within this hotel. However, despite it's emptiness- it was pretty good. The service was great, we even had the manager come up to our table to see how we were doing- he was cute, and that made it better. As for the food, the bread basket was filled with warm and flavorful bread presented nicely with a plate of butter. My mom had the half soup and half sandwich that came with the chef's daily specials- it was plantain soup and shrimp salad sandwich this day- and they were both tasty and filling, and for $10 -a good deal. I had the mahi mahi with mango risotto and a chili, cilantro, and onion slaw- the mahi mahi was cooked very well, the mango risotto had a bit of a bite and a subtle mango flavor, and the slaw complimented the dish well. This dish was $15 which I think was a fair price for the quality and presentation of it. My only complaint was that the food might have needed a bit more salt- then again my mom and I are salt-aholics so maybe a normal person would have been ok with the flavors. For dessert we had the Key Lime Pie that came with a giant amount of whipped cream, and carmelized pineapple in syrup on the plate. The pie wasn't limey- it must've been either mango or pineapple flavored since there was also some mango puree as decoration. The dessert was ok, the syrup kind of made it very sweet and soggied up the crust. Definitely not worth the calories. Would I go back? Good service and good food- but empty restaurant? Hm, maybe. Just maybe.

Yelp
I am really disappointed with this restaurant. The menu does no offer anything interested., just a couple of sandwiches, burguers and salads...not very tasty and ridiculous expensive... i don't recomend this place at all..overated and expensive

Yelp
$25 per person isn't bad for a good brunch, but it's too much for a restaurant operation that appears to have thrown in the towel. Moribund atmosphere on an Easter Sunday that should've been hopping. Bottom line is the food is bland and options are quite limited. The only bright spot was Debbie, our server, who was genuinely attentive and sweet, even to the insufferable entitled broad near us, who summoned the poor girl by pointing at her. You stay classy, Miami.
google avatar

Len D.

Yelp
I went there once and it was OK. The bread was pretty good, but the dipping sauces are even better. They give you (I believe) 3 different things: hummus, black olive paste, sun dried tomato cheese. They were all pretty interesting. My girlfriend and I liked the black olive paste the best. The other 2 were OK. I ordered the churasco and my girlfriend ordered the Pesto chicken. I have to say the Pesto chicken pasta was awesome. Everything was perfectly cooked and flavors were great. The churasco was OK. I wouldn't order that again, only because I've had way better. I like to taste the flavor in my meat. The flavor in this steak was mostly in the chimichurri sauce. It wasn't bad, just I've had better in less fancier restaurants. I probably wouldn't go here again, but if you do try the Pesto chicken.
google avatar

Mia D.

Yelp
I went a few weeks ago for Sunday brunch and it was fantastic! I had the chicken and waffles, which were absolutely delicious, which I paired with their unlimited mimosas (a bit weak, but good). My waiter (a Colombian guy) was personable and attentive. I'll definitely return!

Yelp
2.5 stars. Rounded up due to great food. Strange. That's all I could think for the first 5 min of our experience at Two Sisters. The restaurant is in a hotel and it's sort of open to the public space of the hotel. The decor is circa hotel 1990. The place was empty when we arrived with an 8 top just leaving. I considered turning around, but didn't. The menu was modest with a few apps, salads, pasta, fish and meat dishes. We looked it over and were greeted by a server. I inquired about specials and he said they don't have any. Strangeness continues. I ordered a glass of wine and a round of water which arrived quickly. My husband and I were seated at a 4 person table and there was 4 place settings there. After we had been seated for at least 5 min, maybe 10, one of the servers began moving the extra two place setting from our table to one he had just cleaned off. Not unacceptable, but strange again. Also the 8 person table that left as we came in was never cleared, there were dirty food dished left there for the duration of our meal. I ordered the house salad to start which was quite large with fresh field greens, red onion, cucumber, pecans, cherry tomatoes, carrots and a Passion Fruit dressing. The dressing was different and overall I thought the salad was really good. My husband started with the Seafood soup and loved it, tomato based with clams, mussels, and shrimp. Our bread only came with butter, no 3 sauces like a prior reviewer mentioned. For dinner I had the Mahi Mahi which was served over risotto. It was cooked very well and all the flavors of the dish went together wonderfully. My husband had the Pork Tenderloin with smashed potatoes and corn with a cilantro essence. We both loved that dish, it was awesome. The wine list was terrible but we were told they were redoing that this week. Recap: The food is really good. The ambiance is almost nonexistent and the service is just ok. It is worth a try but they need to make some updates to account for the prices and surrounding area. I believe they participate in Miami Spice and Coral Gables restaurant week, that may be a good time to check it out.

Yelp
Breakfast here was astoundingly good. I ordered the crabcake benedict, which was two lightly fried crabcakes each served with a poached egg topped with spinich and hollandaise sauce. The dish also came with potatoes and two halfs of a baked tomato. The dish was very good...light use of the hollandiase, crabcakes were very light and contained generous amounts of crab. It was a massive amount of food by the way, so much so that I couldn't finish it! The service was good, but not great. Despite the fact that we were greeted by practically everyone in the place when we arrived, our server forgot to bring me the coffee I asked for an then gave us cream that had gone bad. We also had to wait way too long for them to run our check. The prices here are a little high (the crabcake benedict was $15.75), but the food was good and they will serve you a true "American-sized" portion.

Yelp
I went for a business lunch on a Tuesday in March 2012. The service was terrible and the food was just mediocre- I had a turkey club with fries. I will never go back. This is typical for a hotel restaurant. However, my lunch guest said this was once a happening restaurant in its day. There is too much competition in the area to be mediocre. The hotel is the only reason this is still open.

Thalya D.

Yelp
Very nice location and the Neptune eggs Benedict breakfast was pretty good. The only thing I did not like was the hollandaise sauce was not very creamy how I normally like my eggs Benedict and the eggs were not that runny but overall the taste was good. Good mimosas to go with it for brunch. Just a little note that I had a hard time to find out their brunch ends at 1pm
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Delicious food! Can't go wrong with Sunday Brunch here. They've got bottomless mimosas for $15 and I haven't had anything here that I haven't liked. We'll be back!

Yelp
Loved this place for breakfast. My husband and I would drive four hours from Tampa to eat here if we could this weekend. I had the Cuban style eggs Benedict and my husband had the Orange zest French Toast! AMAZING!!! Even if we don't stay at the Hyatt in Coral Gables, we are going to eat for breakfast.
google avatar

Jairo L.

Yelp
Went there for brunch with a party of 4. The building and facilities are nice, but that's the only positive part of this restaurant. The service was horrible, even though there were only 2 more tables busy, we had to wait over 40 minutes for our food and when it arrived it was cold. The quality of the food can be greatly improved, most of it felt like it had been prepared days in advance and just reheated. The waiter on duty didn't even apologize for the mistake, they offered to reheat but was obviously just microwaved. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! Coral Gables has hundreds of better places for food and brunch.

Frank L.

Yelp
The service was horrible. We got there before brunch was over on Sunday at 12:30am. Took 20min for the waiter Harold (From Colombia) to attend us after seeing us.... We had to flag him down. And the place wasn't busy what so ever to say he was swamped. Finally when he is taking our order he says brunch was over; we had told him that even the hostess said we can have brunch since we were seated 30min before it was over. The drinks took another 15min and he kept blaming the Bar, and the food got there it was Cold. Luckily this was a Groupon that was paid for because i would never come here again with this experience and service.

Gretchen P.

Yelp
Ordered two drinks at Bar 50 which I believe is part of the Two Sisters Restaurant same food menu at the Hyatt regency hotel. There were not enough servers (only one), and a 2nd person showed up to help for 5-10 minutes. Was here 45 minutes and acknowledged 20 minutes after first arriving and ordered 1 drink. Took an additional 25 minutes before being acknowledged but only after waving to the only main sever here who was covering all tables and bar. I ordered the Hendrick's cucumber fizz drink which was ok the tonic water was flat.

Yi W.

Yelp
Dont GO THERE! UNLESS IF YOU WANNA BE RIPPED. The waiter poured us coffee without telling me it costs 7$!!! i thought it was complimentary!!

Jay F.

Yelp
This will be short and sweet Two eggs over easy Wheat toast (I ordered a bagel & cream cheese but didn't complain) Orange Juice Two coffees $26.50 I decided to pass on the breakfast buffet at $15.00 which included a few cereals, some fruit, nasty scrambled chaffing dish eggs, sausage, bacon and french toast. The next day, I went down the street to Denny's. Same Breakfast with sausage and hash browns $7.75 hmmmmm

Kari G.

Yelp
I have been coming here for over 10 years. They never cease to amaze me. Incredible customer service I can actually remember impactful moment from when I was just a young child and the food is absolutely incredible. I cant stop thinking about their PB and J french toast, which I dislike french toast but made an exception to try it from my brothers plate while I ordered from their buffet which is fresh with a large variety. Live this place. Absolutely amazing in pairs or large groups.

Marina V.

Yelp
I was never treated so badly my whole life! After a week staying at the hotel and taking the same table every night with my group to work and have a few drinks, we came to do the same after an excepionally hard day. When we ordered a wine like all the other days we were understandably asked for our IDs, but with an incredibly rude attitude from the waitress. Tired as we were, we went up to out rooms to get our regional IDs, only to meet an unreasonably agressive manager saying our regional IDs were not enough and that we needed to get our passports. As we already went up once to get the IDs, we tried to reason with the manager Mohamed a little to try to make him accept our IDs- which were accepted everywhere else in this city- and were treated with pure disrespect. Feeling like we weren't welcome, we told the story to the hotel's management, which came to the bar and asked for them to accept our IDs and that they would pay for our wine. When the hotel's management left, the bar's manager refused to serve us the wine, and even removed the glasses from our table. In consideration to the help the hotel's manager offered us, we went up again to get the passports, even though we did not desire any food or drink anymore. Even after that, we were still treated really poorly in this bar. I felt treated like a criminal, as if we were doing something wrong when we were just trying to relax. Very upsetting experience.

Yelp
What is slower and less tastier than a snail - this place. We ate here a few times because it was in the hotel and I was less than satisfied with the food. Breakfast items were not really flavorful - even the omelets were off and had unnecessary spices in them. Our waitress was great, but the service was really slow. Try to steer clear of this place if you can.
google avatar

Belinda B.

Yelp
Quick business lunch. Quickly acknowledged and seated. Accommodated allergies and modified a dish for me. Dish was tasty and fulfilling. My guest appeared satisfied with burger. I love coffee but based on reviews, I was too afraid to try! Nothing bad here..but nothing overwhelmingly great either...I wish something was amazing...but nothing popped!

Carla B.

Yelp
Coffee here is unfortunately horrible-tasting! Food is really good. Loved the banana pancakes! Worth trying - just skip the coffee pot...

Alex N.

Yelp
Hotel food chain restaurants have never been places that I've desired to dine at but when you are a diamond Hyatt member and there is no club lounges for you, you are awarded with free breakfast during your stay so of course I had to try out this place on my most recent trip to the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables! All I can say is that this restaurant has some of the utmost professional and courteous staff! I had breakfast here 3 times and on each occasion had a different server and different dishes! None of the times did I ever experience any service that was less than perfect! The food is definitely worth trying and for breakfast is have to say that my favorite dishes were the orange French toast along with the egg Benedict! Now even though the smoothies are a bit experience they are definitely worth ordering especially the antioxidant banana strawberry one! Last but not least the parfaits were also a hit!

You can choose the buffet for $22/person or any number of extremely interesting menu items, such as a key lime waffle with papaya salsa & coconut marscapone, or a Cuban Benedict with sofrito hollandaise, or oatmeal with pineapple chutney, roasted macadamia a and coconut milk.....also great coffee, and manny smoothies and fresh juices available. Perhaps opt for the Breakfast Cuban or Gables omelette or maybe the chicken sausage with feta, spinach & cranberries. Definitely a great place to eat breakfast, but also serves lunch and dinner.
