I did not expect to be blown away by the pork and kimchi dumplings at a relatively new bakery and coffee shop, but here we are.
There was a sign in the for the pork dumplings, but there were none left. When I asked, the clerk thought another batch might be in the works. He checked, and indeed fresh dumplings were only seven minutes away. I bought an order of dumplings and a green tea.
When the dumplings came out, I was offered soy sauce. As an aside, the soy sauce was legit soy sauce which is not always the case. However, the dumplings were so flavorful no extra sauce is needed. Each of the three dumplings were well stuffed, beautifully seasoned, and pan fried... on both sides! Crispy. Tender. Chewy. Meaty. Funky. Spicy. Lovely.
And the tea? Delicious. I was advised to let it steep for four minutes which is generally an extra minute than I steep my green teas, but it was perfect.
For the sweets, I am more into the buns than the laminated pastries like croissants. My bar for croissants is very high, and I recognize that. But the Asian inspired flavors are definitely a fun twist.
Ultimately, it's wonderful to have another delicious place to bring a laptop with lots of natural light streaming in from the windows. More people should be here. Come and delight.
