I've been wanting to visit this winery for a while and am so glad I finally made it. I'm usually a red drinker, but tried a flight of whites and enjoyed each one. My favorite was their viognier, it reminded me of a buttery Chardonnay. I tried their IPA which was also delicious! They had live music and a beautiful outdoor space. ♥️

Can’t say enough good things about this place! Prices were reasonable and cheaper than other wineries in the area with generous pours. Staff were friendly and welcoming to our party, and we even got to pet the vineyard dog who roamed around! My favorite part was the covered patio. Unlike some other wineries we’ve been to, there were multiple heaters to keep warm so you don’t have to snuggle with the table next to you for heat. Will definitely be coming back here next time we’re in VA wine country. The Peach Sangria and Mulled wine are a must if you visit!

We visited Two Twisted Posts Winery for the first time and were blown away by how beautiful the property is! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome — especially after being greeted by the sweetest Weimaraner puppy. Even though it was a busy day, the staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We opted for the white wine tasting flight and also tried a glass of the peach sangria. The oaked Chardonnay was a standout — smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The sangria was cold, refreshing, and just what we needed on a summer day. We relaxed on the patio, enjoyed some great live music, and soaked in the peaceful atmosphere. This venue has everything — great wine, friendly vibes, and a lovely outdoor space. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

If this winery was a person, it would be that kind, fun, generous, quirky aunt who you can't wait to visit! She always gets you with real, warm hug, has the best snacks, and slides you a twenty dollar bill when you're parents aren't looking. Two Twisted Posts is a hidden gem with amazing wine, I love my visits here and always tell friends it's a must visit in Loudoun Wine country. Don't miss Don't Call Me a Cab, it's a unique and lovely wine, just like the place that makes it!

Google
Had an excellent experience there today... Brandon helped us out with a tasting experience beyond my expectations... talked about the history of the place and how some of their wines came about... talked about the owner, Theresa, getting inspired to put together something out of a reflecting time while she was at her porch, and afterwards, there was a little tour hosted by Brad (Theresa's husband) gave us info on how they would plant and grow their grapes and showed some of the materials and equipment used by them. I was super impressed with the quality of their product and can't wait to get back there once again.

We love this vineyard. The grounds are gorgeous, the wine is terrific, and the staff is so friendly! They are always a favorite stop on our northern Virginia vineyard visits. Dog-friendly and always warm and welcoming.

This is a great place to go and kick it with friends for a day or for a picnic date. We went one evening and had their wine flights and then a glass after of ones we liked. Their wines are extremely delicious (coming from a guy who is not a wine person) and the hosts are very informative and passionate and will dive into the details of their wines, their tasting notes, history and such. We spent a great evening here. We also had the cracker and cheese basket which they they have on the menu but they do encourage bringing your own snacks/food too. You can also get a close look at their vineyards but please don't touch the fruit! Definitely worth a visit.

Google
We highly recommend this winery!! The staff is truly amazing and women owned...who doesn't love that?! Keep up the good work.

Yelp
My husband and I finally made it to Two Twisted Posts, which has been on my radar for awhile. As soon as we pulled up I knew the experience was going to be just what I needed after a stressful few months. We were greeted by empty fire pits, outdoor games (ladder toss, croquet), and beautiful views. Inside, a box of kid-friendly board games immediately caught my eye (I'm always on the hunt for places we can bring our kids). The tasting associate was so down to earth and we enjoyed chatting with her and learning about the piebald deer that used to be on their property (and the reason behind the name of the Piebald White wine). We ordered a white and red flight to enjoy outside by the fire pit. We also got to "trick or treat" and take candy to enjoy with our flights (cab and Snickers - trust me!). We took a little walk around the property and I immediately relaxed. All the wines were very good, but the Viognier was remarkable. In another life of being my laptop and work remotely from this winery:). I truly expect this winery to be a new favorite that we return to over and over, similar to Three Creeks which has consistently good wine, service, and a relaxing atmosphere. On our way out I found their schedule of events and was so excited to learn they host trivia and wine and paint nights - 2 of my favorite things!

Yelp
This was our first stop and it's not a bad place, but I did not get the warm and fuzzy feelings. When we walked in, we were greeted, but it seemed like the staff was distracted to a certain degree , It seem like they had limited offerings as far as wine goes and we opted for the wine flight and really they didn't spend much time explaining any of the different wines like we would've appreciated, but nevertheless, we read the card came with the flight. There is plenty of indoor seating in a big open area and it was very clean and presentable , the outside had some seating from what we seen, and it was very welcoming. Not a bad place if you're doing a wine tour unfortunately we feel there is better out there. Our apologies if you feel that this is incorrect, but this is how we feel.

Yelp
Cute winery and grounds to hang out and enjoy wine tasting. Had a few food items to choose from and have events on most weekends. Staff were cordial but didn't connect with us.
google avatar

Tonia P.

Yelp
Cute place nice wines I would come back. We were doing the wine trail, and this was the first place we came across.

Yelp
This was our first stop of our wine tour this past weekend. The outside is beautiful with plenty of outdoor seating. We couldn't take advantage due to the weather but we would have loved to. Inside was alright, slightly basic layout but enjoyable. Our server was great and very informative. One of the wine makers even came up to us to check out our thoughts on the wine which we have zero complaints of the wine. Very good! We had the pretzel twist with cheese and that wasn't good. The pretzel did taste homemade but it tasted old and microwaved. The cheese was canned and bland. For $10 I would hope for better quality than that, especially at a winery. Overall I will order their wine but not stop and eat.

Yelp
Spent a delightful afternoon tasting flights and absorbing the beautiful scenery. The staff and owners shared the history of the vineyard. Fell in love with the Viognier. Expanded our taste with the red flight which introduced us to complex vibrant flavors. Finished visit with a few bottles to enjoy at home. Loved the space, wine and people. Will be back in fall!

Yelp
Had an amazing day here yesterday! My buddy and I, who are staying in Martinsburg, WV for work from NYC, decided to visit here Saturday around 2pm. The vineyard is big, well kept, and beautiful! There is tons of outdoor seating (they also have indoors for when the weather isn't good). You are outdoors on grass , so some bugs and gnats come with that. You can bring your own bug repellent but they also have some available, just ask. They also have personal fans that are attached to water bottles to help keep you cool if you'd like. They have a few different options depending on your group size etc. You can do flights or bottles and the really cool thing is, if you do the bottle option and don't finish them, they will recork it for you to take. We opted for the flight of 6 samples for $15. We got 3 reds, 2 whites, and 1 rose. Even if you aren't a big wino, you would still enjoy these because none were too dry. My favorite was the "don't call me a cab" so I bought a bottle ($25) to go. I also had a glass of their peach sangria ($10). It was tasty but could use a bit more kick; it was more sweet than strong. This is a perfect spot for a date or group. They have cheese platters, s'mores kits, and sometimes food trucks. You can bring your own picnic stuff to go along with the wines. They have games like connect four, jenga (small and jumbo), and cornhole. They also had a live performance when we were there (Jessie jams), she was great and only made the vibe that much better! U can walk and explore the vineyard at your own leisure!

Yelp
More of a busy, bar feel. The wine was good, though not my favorite from the region. I can't say I had anything that particularly jumped out of the glass for me, but I also didn't have anything I didn't like either. We sat down for about an hour and drank. They had some live music, but bless his heart, he wasn't much of a singer. Staff was nice and engaging and kept things flowing nicely. Good mix of couples and families while we were there. Located along a loop of wineries that are easy to hit within the same day.
google avatar

Yelp
Lovely vineyard with lots of picnic tables, shade, and games. Service was excellent. While my VA Wine Pass allowed for two tastings for the price of one, they allowed us two glasses at same discount. And without me asking for it.
google avatar

Yasuyo T.

Yelp
We stopped by this winery after Maggie Mallic winery. It is relatively small size winery but there are many picnic tables. This place is dog friendly and dogs are running around the place. We really enjoyed the wine especially red ones. We end up getting Merlot. I highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Fallyn G.

Yelp
A great spot for a large or small group to enjoy a wine flight or the peach sangria with friends. The outdoor space is great for games, a picnic or enjoying the live music. There is plenty of shade which I love, so even on a hot Summer day you will be super comfortable. The staff was super friendly and welcoming

Paula L.

Yelp
Nice winery. Great location. The ambience is nice especially if you're with that special someone.

Tara S.

Yelp
I really like the vibe here! The staff is friendly and accommodating, the space is accessible, and overall it feels like an easy-going, chill place. (I'm not super into the kind of winery where you feel like you should have worn expensive jewelry and should know certain words and wine concepts in order to enter.) The prices ($15 for a flight) seem reasonable to me, and I like that they have some food options (cheese & crackers, chips, etc) but also totally encourage people to bring in their own outside food. I'll stop by again next time I'm back in the area.

Yelp
We visited Two Twisted Posts Winery right after our visit to Maggie Malicks. I made sure I parked somewhere where no one could block us in! We went inside and were promptly greeted by the wine pourer - I believe he introduced himself as "Kosko." He was an extremely verbose and gregarious individual. He was holding forth in the wine tasting room - and we were his captive audience. He was very descriptive and theatrical during the entire wine tasting process - and I mean that in the very best and hilarious way. It was both entertaining and informative. I believe he only works on Sundays. All of the wines were interesting. Again, I especially enjoyed their Reds! We will be back with some friends in tow! #TwoTwistedPostsWinery

Yelp
Visited Two Twisted Posts Winery back in September for my mom's birthday. We arrived on the property and noticed a group of guests enjoying some wine on the covered patio. We walked into the tasting room and there was no one there to greet us. Wine was visible from behind the counter, we could have served ourselves wine at any time. We waited over 15 minutes to be greeted and be served, the whole time we walked throughout the building and did not see one person who could have been an employee or owner. It was over an hour after the winery opened, there should have been someone there to greet us. Is the winery prejudiced to certain guests who visit the winery? I hope not. We drove to Hillsborough Winery where we received friendly service and enjoyed fabulous wine with an amazing view.

Yelp
Two Twisted Posts should be on everyone's Virginia wine radar. We have been to many of the area wineries and only made it down Harpers Ferry Road as far as Breaux. As we just learned, we didn't venture far enough. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming - we were immediately greeted by Casey and Caroline. Casey gave us an excellent tasting session - she was very knowledgeable about the wines and also threw in some fun stories about the winery. Now to the wine- the tasting led us between dry and sweet, mixing between whites and reds. Honestly, this was great as it kept it interesting as well as tasty. I'm a Chardonnay lover and usually Virginia chards are lacking, but TT's was "a classic elegant rich wine that dances gently on the tongue." I agreed. Ultimately, we ended up buying bottles of cab franc and petit verdot. But we didn't leave right away - we sat on a cozy couch and enjoyed a glass of wine. Long story short, I can't wait to go again! Looking forward to our next visit, especially because they offer a calendar full of fun events. Thank you again to Casey for the great tasting!

Yelp
Two Twisted Posts Winery is just past Breaux Vineyards and right before Cardamon Family Winery. They have a long driveway that lands you on a nice piece of land with ample parking an outdoor picnic area. Signs pointing to the tasting room brought us into a very rustic barn/winery room. There is a nice tasting bar as well as a few indoor tables. On Saturday, they had live music going on in the barrel rooms. We sat near the gas fireplace that had a cozy sofa and a small table and chairs. The staff was so friendly and provided some nice education on their wines. We enjoyed their blends as well as their sweet cab. I'm not sure what the tasting fees was but we tasted about 8 wines. We enjoyed a cheese and cracker platter($10) with our glass of wine.

Yelp
Smaller winery but definitely fit our style more than most! We were beyond excited to see how inclusive they were! Staff was great, Arizona the wine doggo was even better. The wine was tasty and the accommodations made for COVID were perfect. It was a comfortable environment. If we lived closer, we'd definitely be back!

Nikki Z.

Yelp
Great wines, great atmosphere, very peaceful and the staff is very friendly. Hopefully next time we get to see the pup :)

Yelp
We travelled to the Harpers Ferry area to enjoy the great outdoors, but a girl's gotta have her wine. We had a pretty full itinerary, so only time for one winery, and I'm glad it was this one. We arrived shortly after opening time on a weekday, so we were the only customers and Casey was very accommodating, giving me plenty of time to enjoy my tasting and checking back to answer any questions, as well as to share some interesting winery history. We found the outdoor setting very relaxing. Hubby doesn't do wine, but indulges me and passed the time with a new canine friend. Usually, when I go to a new winery, I hope to find something I enjoy enough to purchase and take home with me. At Two Twisted Posts, I filled my wine tote and then some. The Cabernet Franc really impressed me - I'm debating whether to open one of the bottles on Dec. 4 (National Cabernet Franc Day) or allow it to age a little longer. Tough decision.

Yelp
Excellent wine and atmosphere! Staff was very friends and so were the pups! Would love to see this place in the fall spring or summer where you found enjoy the outdoors.

Yelp
I mean, their Petit-Verdot is amazing, I keep coming back for more! The hosts are great, I feel like home! I'm becoming a regular here!

Yelp
Cute little place in the middle of a neighborhood thick with wineries. Their size could cause you to skip it, but I really hope people give them a try. Two Twisted Posts has 6.5 acres of grapes and makes about 1500 cases/year. By local standards, that's REALLY tinny. But the tasting room has a nice rustic charm to it, and I did like the wine and friendly service. Whites: 2011 Chardonnay: Oaky but not buttery; OK 2011 Sweet Life: Actually not too sweet, but surprisingly complex 2011 Vidal Blanc: OK Reds: 2011 Cab Franc: This was not a good year, but they did the best with what they had. Still too light bodied for me 2012 Cab Franc: Light to medium bodied, and a little jammy 2012 Cab Sav: I don't see many Cab Savs in this area that I like, but I did like theirs 2012 Petit Verdot: NOW we're talking! As my server said, "Big boy taste but not big mouth feel". I was surprised this was 100% PV, as it seemed too smooth. But I did like it. Sadly their "Don't Call Me a Cab" Cab Sav was out; I love that name!

Yelp
Best find of the day... wine was the best (a little pricey for my taste) of the 4 of us we all loved the choices and brought some home.

Jen W.

Yelp
Chill and easy-going vibe. Best winery staff in Virginia. Couldn't ask for a better day than spending it here with friends.
google avatar

Ana Q.

Yelp
This is a small winery nestled in Loudon county! We did a little wine tour weekend and this place by far had the best white wines I have ever tasted!!! We got a bottle of the 2013 Vidal Blanc and the 2013 Sweet Life. If you like a semi-sweet white wine these are great choices. This is now one of our favorite places to stop by on our wine weekends!!
google avatar

Michele D.

Yelp
Small but charming vineyard. Had a wonderful time talking "winery" with the ladies there!!
google avatar

Yelp
Had THE best tasting with Costco. What a funny and charismatic guy who is passionate about wine. I learned some life hacks and truly enjoyed this tasting above others. Wine is also amazing!! Will be back. Many times. Lol.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the better Northern VA wineries I've been too. Outdoor space is charming and relaxing and wines and well prices and regressing on a hot summer day. Staff is great too! Dog friendly and BYO good, what's not to love!?

jesseca w.

Yelp
Fun location with live music and huge outdoor area. This was the second time we've been there and it didn't disappoint. Very kid friendly with games, s'mores and the waitress brought us a craft kit for our 3 yrs old. Thanks so much!

Yelp
2018 Review 89/100 Great experience! We stopped by Two Twisted Posts during an afternoon trek around wine country while on vacation. I was a weekday so there was no one else there which was nice. We really enjoyed the tasting. Some great wines they have available. Plus, the woman leading the tasting was extremely nice and accommodating - told us all about the winery and just engaged in casual conversation. It was very low key. Plus, she had her dog there with her. We're huge dog lovers so getting to play with a dog while doing a wine tasting was a definite bonus. A much more casual atmosphere than some of the other wineries in the area, which we really liked. Very welcoming and hospitable with great wine. We would definitely return.
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
Loved this place! Smaller than others but beautiful property. AmaZing wine! I did a tasting that was reasonably priced and ordered a glass of "Dont call me a cab" which was delicious! I came back another weekend and bought a bottle and plan to stock up on their wine for Christmas gifts. Highly recommend this winery. The people are kind and knowledgeable about the wine. They facilitated a great experience for my husband and I and our friends. This is my favorite winery that I have visited in the Leesburg area.

Liz B.

Yelp
Great music and atmosphere. Enjoyed the shade on the patio also. Brought a picnic and had some good wine too.

Yelp
We set off on a lovely, sunny Saturday to visit this and another winery in Loudoun and WOW, were we happy to have picked this particular winery!! Upon walking in, we noticed they were quite busy, but we were still quickly greeted by a beautiful young lady who gave us a place at the tasting bar to enjoy the tasting. She did an excellent job explaining their history and their wines and the great thing was that she was the daughter of the winemaker too! All of their wines tasted quite nicely, they tasted like they were grown with experienced vines and properly made. The venue was quaint, cute and a place that we enjoyed. They had a really nice Bluegrass band playing and we really enjoyed sitting, sipping and listening to them play. The prices of their wines were really nice too! We can't wait to go back when in the area.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Compared to the other choices in the area, this isn't my favorite winery. The tasting room is small and doesn't look like somewhere you'd want to spend a few hours; perhaps the outdoor space is more active in the summer. I also didn't enjoy the wine enough to go back.
google avatar

Joey G.

Yelp
This winery probably has the most friendly staff out of any winery I've been to in Loudon county. When we arrived we were immediately greeted and given suggestions based on what we said we liked. The manager even gave us bug spray and a candle to help keep the bugs away. They honestly went above and beyond to make sure our time was enjoyable, we even ended up leaving and coming back with more friends that same day. The vibe here was very relaxed unlike some of the other wineries who come off very stuck up.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Casey was awesome! We came in with a group of 4 and she was super at giving us the background of the vineyard. We felt so welcome, not to mention their wines were awesome! Would definitely return.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
I stopped here after I went to Cardamon right up the street. I was told they had some good chardonnay, so I stopped to try it. The wine was great and the staff was very friendly, this is located along a great street for wine tasting. This vineyard is pretty new and has not been open for long, but I am sure it will only keep getting better.
google avatar

Kirsten A.

Yelp
Came here with my alumni group (with 28 of us) and we had a blast. Two Twisted Posts had set aside a private tented area for us, and allowed us to order wine by the glass or by the bottle from a staff member who was assigned to us. They also offered tastings, but as it was our third winery we opted not to do the tasting. Live music and corn hole were also great touches. Really enjoyed the wine and the atmosphere - we will be back!
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
As others have said, Two Twisted Posts is on a winery-heavy stretch of Harpers Ferry Road off route 9, in northwest Loudoun county. Throw a stone in any direction and you could hit another winery - crazy! But of the group of wineries that have sprung up past Breaux Vineyards, Two Twisted Posts is my favorite. For many reasons. 1) The owners are delightful, 2) the staff are informative and passionate about wine (and animals). 3) The location is more intimate, not as flashy as many spots in the county. 4) The wine is uniformly great. In fact, several years ago their chardonnay was entered in the Governor's Cup contest and won....and their tasting room was not even open yet (Virginia law requires a winning winery to have a public tasting room). So the owners set up a tent while their main tasting room was under construction. That chardonnay is perfect, and the Vidal Blanc is terrific too, a great summer wine, and not as sweet as most Vidal Blancs are. The Petit Verdot and Cab Franc are fine dry offerings for the red fans (and colder weather). My only (minor) gripe is that they are not open on Friday (yet). I am entertaining out of town guests on a Friday in late July and would have loved to take them to Two Twisted Posts for an example of damn near perfect Virginia winery experience.
google avatar

Joseph P.

Yelp
The staff was friendly, but they need to be more attentive to their customers. The wines were wonderful for the region. The environment was scenic and beautiful. Worth the trip, but a bit disappointed in the service.
google avatar

Observer D.

Yelp
The interesting name of this Winery was what drew me to it. Once there, we were greeted warmly and were immediately attended to by a couple of friendly ladies. I really loved their 2012 Petit Verdot, rest were okay. They had some interesting tales to tell us about the name of the Winery and the history surrounding the name. The shape of their wine glasses is pretty unique too! I will probably revisit this charming Winery just to listen to the tales again! I gave the 5 star rating primarily because it is very important to me how I and my family are treated at the local businesses and these guys were top notch!
google avatar

Tara T.

Yelp
Best winery I've ever been to! Their wines are my favorite! We drive an hour and a half to get to this winery because their wines are so great. They have something for everyone. Their wines are so unique and nothing like I've ever had before. The staff are so friendly and helpful and deal with my annoying questions and emails etc. can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
My absolute favorite red wine is made by 2 Twisted Posts - the 'Don't Call Me a Cab' The tasting area is a teeny room in the front of a small barn, with a nice shaded porch-like outdoor sitting area & bar in the back. The yard has chairs & a hammock for relaxing, and there are usually a few big friendly dogs lying about between tables of guests. The vibe is relaxed and the drink is goooood. :-)
google avatar

Grace B.

Yelp
I am a H U G E fan of Two Twisted Posts (TTP). It's filled with history, award-winning wines, and a family-based team looking to provide consumers the best experience possible. I love exploring wineries, but I especially loved about TTP was that Chef Koz (the person assisting us) was brilliantly knowledgable about the wine's history and gave me a Wine Pairing 101 crash course. He answered all my questions, got into character while displaying the wine before serving. The best part was getting a 10% Yelp discount!! (Let's be real, those are always the best). While the winery isn't has been as it's neighbors, I loved the welcoming vibe once you step in. It's totally worth it!
google avatar

Anna B.

Yelp
We enjoyed every single wine on the tasting menu! Some notable wines are the Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and the Seyval Blanc. This place is kid and dog friendly with plenty of shaded spots. The kids played corn hole, Jenga and soccer too. This place was simply perfect!!
google avatar

Lea C.

Yelp
Ok, so this is several months late (this was in July when I was visiting home from Vegas)... But seriously the best place to go for a family run at home feel with great wine. It's kind of like Cheers where you feel like you're a local hanging out with friends drinking wine on the porch. The owners even let me do a "Trash the Dress" photo shoot there after my ex husband and I separated. So they allowed me to stand in their vineyard and in my wedding dress get completely covered in paint and then they helped me clean myself up. I honestly can't say any other vineyard would have done that for me and I even worked at a neighboring one for a year! Do yourself a favor and stop by. Thanks Brad and Theresa again!
google avatar

Linda T.

Yelp
The wine is excellent. We prefer drier wines and they have both. The wine steward was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He told us his name is Costco... I am sure my spelling is wrong. He was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We enjoyed this winery and the dogs were adorable.
google avatar

Yelp
The best wines in the area overall. I am not a fan of Cabs or Chardonneys but theies are amazing. The staff was friendly and its a great property to hang out at. Seriously though, I can't get over how good the wines are.
