San Francisco Bay Area Restaurant and Bar Closures to Know in February 2025 | Eater SF

"Two tasting rooms for the Napa Valley brand owned by Silver Oak Cellars have closed, leaving five employees laid off. The Calistoga location — the original site — was open for 21 years; the Anderson Valley location also shut down, while the Healdsburg outpost remains open." - Paolo Bicchieri

I love Twomey wines. The tasting was at their Akexander vakkey facility, Which is set on their wineyard and had a beutiful setting with wineyard views as you tasted and relaxed. Both the host at the winery were very knowledgeable and knew their wines , It was a very fun afternoon .

We were visiting Healdsburg from Alberta, Canada and came here a week ago for a wine tasting to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We absolutely loved our experience here! Our host Keith was very knowledgeable about the regions and the wine themselves and was such a pleasure to chat with as we sampled the Twomey and Silver Oak wines. We loved that he allowed us to experience the flavours at our own pace and it made the tasting all the more better! The views from this place were simply fantastic and the staff were warm, welcoming and accommodating. We hope to be back soon one day.

I fell in love with Twomey years ago when I found it for one of the wine lists I put together for a restaurant. Since then, I haven’t had Twomey because it is not sold in stores. Since Twomey has impeccable Pinot Noir and they are the sister winery of Silver Oak, we decided to get a membership so that we could enjoy year round! It was truly an amazing time visiting the vineyard. The staff was great! They had everything ready to go for us when we arrived. Their wine knowledge is impeccable and we really enjoyed ourselves outside at a table overlooking spectacular views! If you are visiting Sonoma or Napa, find one or two vineyards prior to going and sign up for a membership! Not only do you get complimentary tastings at the vineyards (typically $50-$150 per person depending on the vineyard, but some vineyards have additional perks like this charcuterie board from Oakville. We are so happy we joined the membership program at 2 vineyards and we LOVE the wines we have received from them. Their Pinot Noir is some of the best out of the Russian River and Anderson Valley. We also learned we like California Sauvignon Blanca and Twomey has an excellent Sauv Blanc. They definitely stick to what they are good at and produce some amazing Pinot Noirs and their sister vineyard Silver Oak does the same with Cabernet Sauvignon. We at receiving another shipment this week in and we will be stocked for the holiday season! I cannot recommend enough, getting a membership to at least 2 vineyards before your trip to wine country! You will not regret it!! We picked the 3 bottle membership which basically pays for itself with one wine tasting. You also receive a membership discount on bottles at the vineyard and in your shipments that come 3 times a year! Cheers!!

This was the first stop on a first trip to wine country. It didn’t disappoint. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. We had our tasting over conversation with her and sharing her family connection with the winery and learning about the wines along the way. We did the Twomey and Silver Oak tasting. It was great! The location has a great view for the tasting as well! Would do it again!

Sam was an excellent host and very knowledgeable about the product and Sonoma County. The Sauv Blanc and Pinot Noir’s we sampled were top tier, and the view from the patio is incredible!

Wow, where do I even begin to describe the absolutely delightful experience we had at Twomey Winery back in March? It was our very first winery visit, and thanks to the incredible Romana, it set the bar impossibly high! From the moment we arrived, Romana's warmth and genuine hospitality shone through. What truly stood out was how incredibly accommodating she was. My significant other doesn't drink wine, and sometimes these experiences can feel a little isolating for him. But Romana went above and beyond to ensure he felt completely included, engaging him in conversation and making him feel just as welcome as I did. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, and it truly made our visit special. Beyond her exceptional hospitality, Romana was simply lovely. She was so friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in making our experience memorable. Her passion for Twomey and their wines was evident, and she shared such interesting insights with us. Even after visiting several other wineries on our trip, we still find ourselves talking about Romana. She was, by far, our favorite person we encountered, and her kindness and engaging personality truly elevated our visit to Twomey. If you have the chance to do a tasting at Twomey, I wholeheartedly recommend requesting Romana. She is a gem, and she will undoubtedly make your experience an unforgettable one. Thank you, Romana, for such a wonderful introduction to the world of wine tasting! We can't wait to visit Twomey again. The best Pinot Noir’s I had the entire trip.

Google
Every winery in the world claims that their wines are the best in the world and with > 90 points. -:). A sales pitch & branding which all wineries start with. Seems like the grading is done by hoards of agencies -:) . Twomey's wine is good. But , you might like wines from other wineries with a better price point too. Disappointed with Twomey's membership options which has explorer version which has no discount for members.

What a beautiful and amazing experience. The staff were attentive and kind when we walked in. We were welcomed with lovely complimentary Chardonnay. Jessika our host was extremely knowledgeable in each of the wines and the process of making each. We went for a friend’s birthday and not only did they write a heartfelt hand written note from all the staff but also she recieved free wine glasses as well. At no point did we feel rushed and their Pinot selection was great. Loved the property and we could sit on the couches or roam the premises at our leisure with our wine. Overall a great price, great selection and incredible service. Will recommend to everyone I know.

Yelp
Had such a great experience at TWOMEY!!! We visited Russian river valley during a trip to Sonoma and stopped by for a wine tasting. We were given tastings of 4 different wines, one Sauvignon blanc and 3 different Pinot noirs. They were all really good! We liked the Sauvignon blanc so much that we bought a bottle to share with the table after our tastings. Our waiter was also super informative about the wines and answered any questions we had. They also provide pretzel sticks on the table as pallet cleansers (but they also make a yummy snack)! There was a pretty view for pictures outside and they provided someone in our party complimentary wine glasses after purchasing a nice bottle of wine. Definitely recommend TWOMEY if you're in the area!

Yelp
Loved our experience at Twomey. Stopped in on a Monday afternoon and the ambiance was just what we were looking for - slow, peaceful and inviting. Our tasting was wonderful and we ended up leaving with two bottles to take home. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor seating on such a nice day too- the weather was perfect. The service was wonderful and he really took the time to educate us about their wines and also gave wonderful recommendations of places to visit in Healdsburg. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
We went there on a Holiday on a Monday, it was perfect no one was there so it was like a private tasting. They hooked us up w/ extra pouring and whatever was open lol. Also, got 20% discount for all the wines we got w/ wine glasses score!

Yelp
The winery is beautiful! I came in on a Thursday afternoon so it was not too busy. View was great and the location was clean! The wine was even better!

Yelp
Twomey has a lovely setting a wonderful wines. While it feels a bit more corporate than some other neighboring wineries, their wine continues to standout with truly lovely Pinots.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a stunning winery! Had our corporate event at TwoMey and they took care of us! They gave us space to work and happily jumped in when we were ready. Their Pinot is delicious! If you are ever in town or passing by, make sure to stop by!

Yelp
We had a beautiful, very rainy but excellent wine tasting day!! The Pinot noirs here are some of the best. I also loved the Sauvignon blanc. Our host, Sam was such a joy. We had so much fun joking with him, he was very outgoing and knowledgeable about the wines. He had a great sense of humor. Beautiful location and tasting room. Thank you Sam :))

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous winery. Fantastic wine selections and our server was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Twomey is from the same owners as Silver Oak...yet they are completely different. Twomey is known for their pinot noirs (which isn't my fave as I do love the cabs at Silver Oak)...but I do enjoy a glass of their merlot. We've been here twice now and enjoyed our visit both times. I'll focus more on our most recent visit which was our first time back to the area since SIP. I absolutely loved our experience. Don't forget to make an appointment. Once you arrive to the parking lot, there is a person who greets you and takes you to the front door. They'll take your temp, ask you a series of questions, and lead you to a stand to wash your hands. Excellent. We sat an outdoor table with a gorgeous view. The last time we were here, it was super crowded so it felt like a treat to enjoy this opportunity on our own. We were brought out a charcuterie platter by the chef which was a nice touch. Our wine was already poured with covers to protect time. We were also each given a bag with napkins and breadsticks. We went through the series of pinots but I was really looking forward to the merlot. Once again, it was definitely my fave and we ended up buying a couple of bottles to take home. Everyone here was super nice and informative. I was told that twomey took care of all of their employees during SIP. Great news, for sure!

Yelp
The drive to Twomey was absolutely beautiful! It's about 2 miles from the Healdsburg square. As you are driving there, you will see vineyards on both sides and it's such a gorgeous view! Once you get to the winery, you will notice that it has amazing views out on the patio. They have wraparound patio that offers an amazing view with lots of tables and chairs. This winery has a very peaceful and relaxing feel to it. The winery inside is very modern looking and spacious. We enjoyed the Twomey tasting and all the wines were amazing! They are known for their Pinots, although all their wines are amazing! We loved the view and it's such a beautiful place to go wine tasting! We look forward to coming back here again in the future!

Lisa B.

Yelp
Absolutely love this winery and experience. Romana, our host, was beyond knowledgeable, engaging, and just plain FUN! The wines are delicious and the elegant but laid back tasting was spot on. We joined the club, and look forward to some great Pinot through out the year.

Yelp
Came to Twomey in Healdsburg on a whim as we were in the area earlier than expected. This is one of a handful of wineries open at 10am on a Saturday. We did not regret our pick one bit! I've been to the other location in Calistoga and both are beautiful. We came as a walk-in with no reservation (important to note as some wineries require reservations). The entrance and tasting room is very sleek and modern, with a great photo op waterfall and giant Twomey logo out front. The tasting room and outer patio gave a beautiful view of the vineyards below. The staff is wonderful and friendly, chit-chatting with us and other patrons. As for the wines, they were fantastic as usual! Being a Silver Oak winery (affiliated/owned), the wines were rich in flavor and scent. The pinots were especially amazing! You could distinctly smell notes of cherry and plum. A few of us purchased the Alexander Valley Pinot Noir and the gal behind the counter was nice enough to not only give us cute re-usable bags, but also free glasses for all 4 of us! Wonderful first stop on our wine day and highly recommend it, especially for Pinot lovers!

Yelp
Beautiful spot for a tasting and the wine is selection is bar none. I enjoy all the amazing wine that Healdsburg has to offer and Twomey is no exception. We enjoyed the Twomey/Silver Oak tasting experience with the charcuterie offering. The charcuterie "board" came with individually packaged cheeses, meat and crackers. As well as small jars of almonds and olives. A perfect and COVID friendly presentation. I would absolutely recommend a visit here if you can snag an appointment.

Yelp
I'm a California native, but now live in hot and humid Florida, and at the start of summer I had a case of the Twomey Sauvignon Blanc shipped to me to enjoy throughout the summer. It's a crisp, clean, citrusy wine that is perfect for our hot days. My husband and I had stopped into Twomey after picking up a wine club order of Pinot Noirs from another winery. I must say that the Pinots we tasted at Twomey are not the best that Sonoma has to offer, but they are priced to reflect that. However, since we already had Pinots, the Sauvignon Blanc was the perfect choice for our summer wine stock. The Tasting Room looks out onto the vineyards, and there are tables outside to enjoy your tastings or a bottle or two. They also have wine merchandise and cookbooks, if you're in a shopping mood.

Yelp
We are so upset! They have "pet friendly" status on Yelp and a total lie! We made reservations and stated we had 2 dogs. When we arrived they refused us service, "Not pet friendly"!?
google avatar

Shannen R.

Yelp
One of me and my husbands favorite wineries. There is a fountain out front that makes for a great photo op, the staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable, the wine is very tasty, they are pet friendly, great views. I definitely recommend Twomey Cellars if you are out wine tasting in the Healdsburg area and looking for a nice place to taste with great views and photo ops.

Yelp
Delicious wines. Sleek & modern tasting room. Patio with several large tables can accommodate medium size groups. Panoramic view towards the east is world class. Dog friendly. I live in the heart of the Sonoma valley with 24 wine tasting rooms within 5 miles of my house. I've become finicky & opinionated about wine. I liked all the Twomey wines so much that I joined the membership club. Expensive: $50 - $60 / bottle range. A worthy wine for a special event or a luxury dinner. If I was a millionaire I'd happily drink Twomey pinot noir everyday.

Lyly H.

Yelp
We were super impressed with this winery. This was due to our wonderful host, Gabe Goltz!! This was out 6th trip to Napa and Gabe stood out above the rest. The tasting was very professional yet relaxed like friends catching up after a long absence. Gabe was so knowledgeable with the origin of Napa, the vineyards, and of course, Twomey wines. We loved the ambiance and his hospitality very much. Our group of 8 people ranging from 1st timers to experienced tasters felt he could not have done a better job. Cheers to Gabe Goltz. from: the family reunion group from all corners of the country.
google avatar

Dylan M.

Yelp
The space is beautiful and the service was great and the wine is very good. However, I was surprised they did not waive the $60 tasting fee after I purchased a case of wine. I have been to dozens of wineries and have never heard of this. Surprised that this Silver Oak family winery thought this was a good practice. I will enjoy the case when it shows up, but I won't be back to the space.
google avatar

Paul K.

Yelp
Paul and I were celebrating our anniversary and we saw this lovely winery as we were driving by. Gabe greeted us and welcomed us even though we did not have a reservation . We had a great time trying their amazing wines. We mentioned we owned a winery in Morgan Hill. He shared the history of the winery and the whole region. We also had a tour . We would highly recommend you visit this winery. This was the best experience and we look forward to going back again.
google avatar

Scott B.

Yelp
Don't miss this! Outstanding hospitality and service (thanks, Chantal!) makes unbelievable wine even better. The club is a great deal: the wines you'll love, the prices reasonable, and the association with Silver Oak very attractive for visiting other locales in the region. Come to Twomey and you will not be disappointed!
google avatar

Guisela L.

Yelp
I like red wine...I don't discriminate. My favorites tend to be the bright, young, kapowie in yo mouth types and Twomey didn't disappoint. We did the walk-in tasting which was fun and delicious. Our favorite was the house specialty-merlot. Beautiful view...nice building, clean restrooms and tasty wine, yes please. We ordered a bottle and got two take home glasses. Thank you and I will continue to enjoy the Pinot with my House of Prime Rib in San Francisco.
google avatar

Amy O.

Yelp
Liked it so much, I signed up for their membership. Super friendly, great reds (we didn't try any white wines), and amazing tables outside. They serve you out there, so that you have a view and a breeze. PS: this is the sister spot to Silver Oak in Napa.
google avatar

Savannah B.

Yelp
Amazing view, staff, and wines. I came in for a last minute, early morning tasting on a Saturday and they were very accommodating and got me started right away. If you are a cab lover, I 100% recommend doing the Silver Oak tasting as well.
google avatar

Vicki L.

Yelp
Killer Pinot Noirs. Great service. Relaxing outdoor patio with nice view - we scored the sofa area in the middle of the yard.
google avatar

Matt T.

Yelp
First time here with no idea of what we were getting into, and we were absolutely blown away! The customer service is fantastic. Cyle (yes, with a C) took care of us. Super knowledgeable, affable, and even gave us a taste (or two) off-menu because there was some extra goodies already open. The Pinot noirs are the highlight of the trip, with multiple bottles from multiple terroirs that are equally delicious in such different ways. If you're a Pinot aficionado, this is a must-visit! To sum up: great wines, great service, great ambiance, great vistas, Cyle is awesome!
google avatar

Caroline C.

Yelp
Long overdue post here :) Loved my visit to Twomey! Cyle served my husband and I during our visit and he was fabulous! He noticed that my husband was in to photography, so he took us into the barrel room (which was not open to the public at the time) to take photos. We decided not to purchase, as we had just picked up our wine club order for another winery, but Cyle treated us like we were his best customers. He even gifted us two wine glasses on our way out. The Bien Nacido Vineyard Pinot Noir is by far my favorite wine they poured for me. We will be back for more!
google avatar

Maggie P.

Yelp
Twomey is a great wine club to join, if that's what you're looking for when you head up this way. Their events are really fun and their pinots are always great wine for a special occasion or for just a Wednesday night. The service in the tasting room is amazing, we have never been disappointed. The view off of the back patio is outstanding and a great place to tasted on a warm day.
google avatar

Veronica S.

Yelp
I really liked Twomey Cellars! I heard about this winery from my friend as well as from Silver Oak mentioning their sister winery. I like that Twomey is less well-known and less mainstream than Silver Oak but still holds the same standards for their wines -I really enjoyed both their whites and reds during the wine flight. Wine tasting is $15 or $30 (inclusive of charcuterie/cheese)! The service was good and the views from all the seating areas are beautiful and relaxing. I Would easily come back here- hoping to do the tour next!

Will S.

Yelp
Atmosphere very dull, they never spent a lot of time with us really explaining the wine. I never thought I would pay Napa wine price here in this area. No tasting fee waived if you bought a bottle. Wine is nothing to make you go wow.
google avatar

Lindsay M.

Yelp
Breathtaking views. Twomey definitely rings of a Silver Oak-owned company, but still manages to not come off feeling snobby. The staff was super friendly from the moment we walked in and although they were having a busy morning took time to answer all of our questions. Although I expected to like their Pinots the best, our favorite tasting from Twomey had to be the Merlot - it was fruit-forward without having to hit you in the jaw. The Sauv Blanc was surprisingly good as well, with a strong backbone and no sour notes. We were (and still are) very tempted to join their wine club (they have several different options), but we'll have to wait until our wine reserves go down a little. We will definitely return to Twomey on our next visit!

Yelp
As a fan of the Cabernets of Silver Oak, we made a trip to the Sonoma Valley and made our first visit to Twomey Cellars, founded by Silver Oak's David and Tim Duncan. Their wine maker, David Baron carries his vision from silver Oak to Twomey. The tasting room is modern and sleek with a beautiful view of Twomey's vineyards in the valley below. The featured tasting consists of a sauvignon blanc, two pinot noirs and a merlot. A bonus pinot noir was added to the tasting. Our server was friendly and she gave us a nice history of the Twomey. You can enjoy your tasting at the counter or enjoy it at one of the tables or benches in their beautiful patio, which we did for our final pour. What a great wine tasting experience for the $10 tasting fee and for your Visa Signature cardholders, they're part of the Visa Signature program. Twomey, a great stop in Sonoma Valley for wine tasting.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful tasting today with Sam. We have been long-term fans of the Twomey brand and their lovely pinot noir offerings. However great wine coupled with great hospitality = a perfect experience. Thank you Sam and we look forward to our next visit!
google avatar

Denny B.

Yelp
I have enjoyed Twomey wines on many occasions with friends. We have always purchased Twomey wines which have been bottled for 4-6 years. When tasting here, the wines are much too young for my palate to decide if I like it our not. All of the 2009 lack the drinkability which most people are wanting. If you buy it and hold it, you may find you like it. My wine storage facility is large enough for a lot more wine, but if I want good PN or Zin, I can get it today without waiting for an '09 to get ready for me. The tasting room has one of those "are you kidding me" views. The hostesses are very knowledgeable and conversant. This is a wonderful place to visit, wish I could taste their best wines when I visit, but that is not the case.
google avatar

Jenny E.

Yelp
I was really impressed with the wine tasting here! BEAUTIFUL space inside and out, and killer views. We were actually in a large group and there was room to fit all of us without feeling cumbersome. They were super nice to our group and even give you a branded wine glass when you're done, great experience!
google avatar

Cynthia S.

Yelp
Yummy wines. Great Pinot. It's like a napa winery In healdsburg. Two dollar signs is a lie. $58 bottles. We didn't buy anything.
google avatar

Barbara S.

Yelp
Lovely modern winery and tasting room facility in the Russian River Valley. They make delicious Pinot Noir, which is my wine of choice. Beautiful views of the valley off the patio. Very dog friendly too which is a big must for us as we do travel most of the time with our two Lab doggies. I have been to two wine club events here. Their annual pizza party which is a must try for all you pizza lovers and the wine club appreciation party BBQ. Wines are a little pricey but I think they are worth it!

Yelp
06/07 We were informed of Twomey Cellars from our visit to its sister winery Silver Oak the previous day. I, personally was stoked to check out Twomey since they focus on Merlot. The 1st thing i noticed was the large wall waterfall with the logo. The inside of the tasting room was cold and metallic with no real feel of a place to taste wine. They do get bonus points for having a great view of the valley. Each tasting is $5 which for Napa / Sonoma standards is very inexpensive and you get to keep the glass etched with their logo. The wines were ok, but nothing memorable that made me jump with joy. I did inquire, and received a tasting of their 2000 Merlot which i did like and bought. The only thing that is spectacular here is the view from the large open patio. If you have never tried Twomey come by but don't go out of your way to stop here.

Yelp
I'm a member of the Twomey wine club and if I didn't know better, this has become my new home away from home over the weekends! Gorgeous modern tasting room with sweeping views. Twomey still feels a bit undiscovered - which is exactly how I like it. Their sauvignon blanc is worthwhile for me to make the drive up here every other weekend. This is the PERFECT white to go with oysters. First trip: bought a few bottles of the sauv blanc and drove to Tomales Bay Oyster company (about a 60 minute drive) to shuck and eat. Trip two: picked up a case of sauv blanc for my 4th of July BBQ where there were 150 oysters present and accounted for. Trip three: member appreciation BBQ with a build your own burger bar. Yeah, the sauv blanc goes well with burgers too. The other wines are just as delicious and I will report out on those as the weather changes!

Tamar M.

Yelp
THE WINES: As the offspring of Silver Oak, which I *heart* mightily, I liked 80% of the options. They are heavily Pinot Noir-based, and it's a varietal that I don't often purchase. My faves were the: *2010 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir *2011 Estate Sauvignon Blanc (crisp and refreshing without being wimpy) *2010 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir THE GROUNDS: A large back deck overlooking the hills of Healdsburg, not overly crowded, rowdy, or obnoxious. The landscaping was very pretty - full of summer blooms and well-manicured. A vegetable garden flanks the building, where I think my precious dog attempted to eat a salad without asking. The tasting room is tall, airy, cool, and not full of "stuff" to buy because the wines are sub-par. You can get served on the back deck instead of standing at the bar, should you choose. THE PEOPLE: The Wine Club Manager, Colyn (I think I got that right) was personable, friendly, with bright blue eyes and quick with a smile. It was a lovely day spent at Twomey.

Yelp
ANN is fantastic! Beautiful view here at Twomey. It was our very first stop in wine country and an awesome way to kick it off. Ann definitely took care of us and shared so much about the wine and the history of Twomey. We asked about other wineries she'd recommend and she was gracious enough to supply us with passes to some other wineries that we may not have visited. Tasting fee is $10 but they are Visa Signature participants.

Alexis R.

Yelp
I would not recommend this Twomey for wine tasting. We arrived with a party of ten for a birthday celebration. The tasting was fine, service was good (not stellar) but upon buying wine, things went south. We planned to buy 2.5 cases. In total, this would have been around a $1200 sale. The woman behind the counter says to the man as I about to hand my CC over - we can comp 2 of the tastings (we had 10 folks, although really 9 because 1 person stopped after the first taste). I was shocked that they were planning to charge us for tastings since we were purchasing cases. In most places, if you purchase a bottle or 2, they wave the fee for the taste. Not at Twomey. We were going to drop $1200 but they still wanted us to pay 20$ per person to taste comping only 2 for the purchase we were making. We are also growers (grow grapes for different wineries) - meaning we work in the grape industry and this means you typically get a discount for your wine. Normally, the same discount as if you are a wine member. As I asked about why they would still charge us for the tasting fee for 8 people, the woman said 'well, we are honoring your brothers industry discount.' I responded 'Well, it is a family farm - so the farm is also mine. And in the 35 years we have been in the valley, we have never had something like this happen.' Most places, when they learn you are in the industry will let you taste for free - regardless of if you purchase wine. The woman's tone and energy was pretty insulting and I decided to not purchase the wine and pay just pay for the tastings. There are SO many awesome spots in Sonoma. And, many awesome wines - there wine is good enough. But, based simply on the fact that they do not respect people in the industry I do not recommend visiting Twomey and giving them money.

Yelp
Great place, great views, great wine, and even better hospitality. More specifically, Brian Burke, is an amazing host that not only knows his wines, but more importantly is enjoyable to talk to.

Yelp
Had the best experience at Twomey...quite possibly my favorite all around winery of the 6 I went to between Healdsburg and Sonoma! Came in with a friend early afternoon and had the place to ourselves. What makes or breaks a tasting for me is the person running your tasting - their knowledge, excitement about the wines and the winery they work at, and their personality. Brian helped us out that Friday and he was AMAZING! The wines are really great as well. I'm not a big Pinot girl, but managed to walk out with not 1 but 2 Pinots in tow :) stop by here on your next visit to Healdsburg and you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds and no appointment necessary. Twomey isn't my favorite winery and I'm not a big fan of their wines (lots and lots and lots of pinot noir), but this tasting room is very nice. A beautiful, sprawling outdoor patio overlooks the valley. The tasting room is modern and while crowded during my visit, it wasn't rushed at all. The employees were super knowledgeable and very friendly. I felt totally welcome and valued. As a bonus, they provide crackers and water with your tasting (lots of places don't do that and I think it's so important to have those little comforts when power tasting a bunch of big red wines). There's a nice little selection of gifts as well in case you want to take a souvenir home (and you don't like the wine). The tasting fee was reasonable ($10 per person) and if you have a Visa Signature credit card, it's free!
