Txoko had the best and freshest octopus i have ever tasted, the service was amazing by the team very inviting and willing to explain everything. The place is just amazing with a great view and nice atmosphere. The prices I think are a result of the quality of the ingredients and I was happy to pay for it. Definitely a big recommendation if you are in the Basque Country.

Txoko Getaria is for sure one of the best restaurants during our stay in Basque country. We had amazing rice with lobster and shrimps, as well as scallops on roasted paprika, grilled shrimps and asparagus. I recommend this place

Great place to have ‘extended’ lunch which we did! Freshest and most delicious seafood we had so far with friendly service and hello from chef himself! Highly recommended, enjoy!

Wonderful view of the Harbor. The food is simply marvelous, especially their specialty dish the Cod Plate. There are only 2 main meat dishes and although they are good, they don't come close to the quality of their seafood dishes, which are truly exceptional. The starters are also little works of art in presentation and test. The Crème Caramel is THE best I've ever had. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food.

Good little find on our walk through Gateria. We didn’t make a reservation but think we were lucky so it would be worth making one. Good was amazing. Staff we very helpful and the best bit for my husband who is Coelaic was that they did gluten free French bread and it was just like normal bread so he was so happy! Make sure you try the cheesecake!

We had lunch on sunny spring day. We got a table on the terrace with beautiful view overlooking the fishing port. Food and service were very good. We had asparagus to share as a first course. Then their signature dishes. Hake in green sauce and grilled hake. Both very tasty. Try the green sauce. Very similar to the famous green sauce of the Piemonte area in Italy

We had a superior fresh seafood experience on the terraza of this fine restaurant overlooking the port. Everything was super fresh and the service was friendly. The merluza (hake) was tender and moist—the best fish of our trip to Spain. The pimiento stuffed with cod mousse was delicious. The clams in white were excellent. The desserts were lovely.

Let’s start with the service. Super English friendly and incredibly homely service. The way they welcome you also makes you feel good. Make a reservation. Had the fisherman’s soup and the ‘Our famous cod fish’. Both were incredibly good. They also do the grilled fish for 2 and you can choose from Turbot, Bass, Hake. They were served on the table next to us and looked incredibly good. The clams are also something they are famous for. Also veggie friendly. They will try to make something vegetarian even if there isn’t much on the menu. :) all in all a good experience.
