"This no-frills, feel-good restaurant has been around for over twenty years—and not much on the menu has changed since it opened. Locals swear by this lunch-only burger joint, famous not only for the burgers (we love the turkey burger, though the tuna and egg salad sandwiches are excellent, too) but for the homemade potato salad and the blissfully old-fashioned chocolate malts and root beer floats."

When you see a crowd standing outside a restaurant, you pretty much know “hmm bet it’s good”. Tyler’s is that kind of place. Been here several times now in the past year, and although there’s always a wait, it’s usually under 20 minutes or so. Even though it’s covered up with tourists. Lunch only at this all outdoor seating, sidewalk cafe vibe. Serving the usual suspects of burgers, sandwiches, soups and salads. Haven’t had anything on the menu I didn’t like, it’s all been good. I find the fries exceptional, having a crispy crunch and cut a bit bigger than Micky Ds fries. Had a cauliflower and carrot soup one time that was very good. Portions aren’t huge but plenty, and typically priced high. As is all of downtown Palm Springs. Service has always been fast and friendly. Although the greeter person where you sign the list is a small man with a very loud yell. Calling out patrons names at the top of his lungs is annoying, over and over while you’re trying to dine al fresco in peace. Because of that I only cut one star for “atmosphere”. Typically closed in the hot summer months. Tyler’s is a great little spot for a very tasty lunch. Maybe break out your ear plugs if you’re seated next to the check in podium.

Been passing this place for years and finally had an opportunity to check it out. This spot is adorable! Located in an old Greyhound Bus Depot. Option to sit inside or outside, we chose the small counter bar. Wonderful service, reasonably priced. The burgers were juicy, fresh, like homemade . Also ordered the Coleslaw…, SO GOOD! Fries also a great choice. We grabbed a couple of fresh squeezed lemonade and it was perfect. Nothing fancy. This is a total Mom and Pop place and we’re coming back.

Google
This is one of the best downtown Palm Springs burger stops! They have amazing burgers, sandwiches, salads , soups, potato salad, slaw, fries, and milkshakes. It is pretty much always busy, as it is hugely popular with both locals and visitors, so expect to wait a bit during the popular lunch and dinner times for a table. Service can also be a little slower during the really busy rush times. Prices are very reasonable, too.

Google
Family-friendly dining experience with phenomenal staff who were very accommodating to our two small children. We ordered a patty melt, bacon cheeseburger and fries. Burgers were a 10/10, cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients. Fries were equally impressive. There is no restroom but the wait staff will gladly direct you a private restroom about 50 yards north of the restaurant which was clean and easy to access

Google
OMG ... This could be the BEST burger & fries I have eaten in 6 decades!!! So thrilled I stumbled onto Tyler's ! Staff is insanely friendly and food A+++.

Google
This is a nice place, it took me by surprise it was in the middle of a parking lot. I got the turkey burger with cheese, bacon, avocado and fully dressed … grill the onion if you remember to ask. All the reviews talk about the potato salad and coleslaw so we got that and they were good. The potato salad has some good chunks of egg in it which I like, the wife doesn’t. Overall it was good meal.

Yelp
This place. This is a example of a owner who cares. This place is an example of the employees care. 3rd visit. 3rd time I was blown away. Clean , bright , open . Best lunch spot in palms springs ever . Keep up the great work ladies and gents. Oh. Sure wouldn't mind if you stocked some peanut butter for them shakes. The best ever.

Yelp
Decided to stop at Tyler's for lunch for our day trip, and I'm happy we did. We were seated quickly outside on the patio. It was nicely spaced with tables. I like that the menu is simple. I got a hibiscus iced tea which was perfect to cool off. I liked that they don't sweeten it. I ordered a cheese burger, and my husband got a bacon cheeseburger. We ordered fries thinking we would share one portion. We didn't realize that we were given two portions and charged for that until we paid. I wish the server would have clarified. We will be back I'm sure. Would recommend!

Yelp
After living in Palm Springs for many years. We finally went to Tyler's. A lot of people recommended their burger. It was very good. We also had the tuna melt and chicken salad sandwich. If I had to rank them best to least favorite. I would say burger, chicken salad then tuna melt. What we liked about our experience was our waitress, Blanca. She was super sweet and bilingual. For my husband and sister-in-law this made them very comfortable speaking Spanish. We will go back to see Blanca and try more of the food. It's a great location with outdoor seating.

Yelp
Tried Tyler's for the first time, and it was good. We sat outside on a warm afternoon. Unfortunately, the misting system sort of favors one side of the patio and that was not the side we sat on, so it was a bit warm. Service was friendly. You should note that everything is extra. Fries do not come with the burgers. I ordered the cheese burger and my wife had the turkey burger. We both enjoyed our lunch, although I thought the burger was a bit dry. The lettuce and tomato were delightfully fresh. Large crowd on the patio by the time we left, so you can tell it's a favorite of locals and tourists alike. I would definitely try it again.

Yelp
Don't know what they put in the burgers but it was very Tasty. I ordered the Patty Melt and split an order of fries with my wife. My wife got the Egg Salad sandwich, which she said was delicious. The patty on my burger was seasoned perfectly and very moist and flavorful. It had just the right amount of grilled onions and melty cheese. The fries are just fries, but the waitress came out with some spicy sauce that kicked up the flavor level when mixed with the ketchup. I try to limit my carbs, but ate way too many fries with the spicy ketchup. It's a very small place inside, but it was too hot to eat outside for my taste (108 degrees). The waitress was extremely friendly and the entire staff did a lively version of Happy Birthday for one of the patrons while we were there. Very Fun. Would definitely go back next time I am in town.

Yelp
My first time at Tyler's and it was so good! I had the cheeseburger sliders, coleslaw and a half basket of French fries. They had a great Mexican lager as well on tap. They also had some amazing looking cookies that I am going to definitely have try out! This might be my new regular place to eat at for lunch.

Yelp
We stopped here on the way to the Palm Springs Airport. There is plenty of parking on side streets and on street in front. You enter at the rear of the building where there is a really nice covered outdoor patio. The menu has burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, melts, etc. Fries are available as a side and large one is easily enough for two people. I had the cheeseburger and it was excellent. The staff is outgoing and very friendly. Pro tip: If you need to use the restroom, it's across the small side street at Bill's Pizza

Yelp
Tuesday lunchtime, pretty busy in downtown Palm Springs. We were seated very quickly for a party of 3. Post lunch I guess the burgers must be the draw. I loved the fresh coleslaw and one order is good for two servings. Chili was ok, not chunky. Tuna sandwich was tasty. Dad ordered plain bacon egg and toast. But $60 seemed like a pretty hefty price tag for light lunch, coffee and two cokes. Service gets a 10 but food is a 5.

Yelp
Went to a burger spot and probably had some of the best soup I've ever had. I've been twice and have been lucky enough to eat lunch here on days where their soup of the day was carrot soup. It almost tastes like curry - it's super different than anything I've had before and I'm going to make it a point to learn how to make it. Burgers are pretty darn good too but not the best I've ever had. I found them a tad overpriced but I don't mind paying if I enjoy my meal. All the food I had was super fresh tasting, Servers here are super attentive and friendly, they give off the impression that they're happy to work here. And the outdoor dining experience is very Palm Springs. This a great spot to grab a bite to eat, people watch, and is even dog friendly. Definitely see myself coming back

Yelp
A group of us went to Tyler's Burgers for lunch, it was recommended to us. It's in a great location in middle of downtown Palm Springs. It's not enclosed so they are closed during the hot summer, check for when they are closed. They had a nice menu. I ordered their hamburger since that's what they are known for. It was very good, I think next time I'll order their sliders since that's a smaller meal. We also ordered their fries on the side which were good. The service was also great.

Yelp
Great Food! Love the outdoor seating Best potato salad in Palm Springs! I highly recommend

Yelp
We have enjoyed Tyler's over the years and it never disappoints! This trip we decided to split the Patty melt which is a generous serving with a basket of fries. Always great service also.

Yelp
I drive out from LA for this burger. Best in CA. Solid every time. Thick burgers that would make the woman from Wendy's proud. No smashed here, just the real deal, down home cooking, fantastic burger that's served with love. Worth the drive anytime. Stop scrolling and come here!

Paul O.

Yelp
Everytime we come to Palm Springs we go to Tylers. The Chicken Salad is our go to - get in the Frisee salad or a sandwich and you'll love it with a lemonade. There are often lines to get a table but they turn over tables quickly and the wait to sit down is pretty quick - it's worth the short wait.

Yelp
Was looking forward to trying this place out finally. Ordered bacon cheeseburger and fries. Burger was overcooked and lacked any kind of seasoning. Very bland. Bun on burger was also starting to disintegrate after a few bites. Fries were unseasoned as well. Bit of a bummer. Thought this was going to be wonder, but just turned out to be average.

Clark L.

Yelp
Very underwhelming service and food. Really wanted to like it, but it was just a very standard burger which doesn't really even hold its own to a shake shack. Also, no fries come with. Server checked on us maybe twice? No water offered. Ambiance and location were good though

Lynn S.

Yelp
The location is great, nice casual outdoor seating. The service was great - from the moment we stopped in til we finished - Roxie was friendly, helpful and gave great recommendations. The food was fresh and delicious. The potato salad was great!
google avatar

Brendie W.

Yelp
This place was delicious! If you're looking for a place not too far from the Palm Springs airport with smash burgers, amazing fries and milkshakes look no further! The patio is a perfect place to sit and enjoy the nice weather with shade, fans and always a table ready! The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming! BIG MUST EAT in Palm Springs!

Tai P.

Yelp
They have a decent Turkey burger. Could use some seasoning... The staff was super friendly and attentive. I have not tried anything else. They have a cute bar and you can see your foods being prepared. Stay Tuned!

Yelp
I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, small fries, and a soda. I sat at the counter directly in front of the kitchen. The prep person needs to re-learn proper handling of food. He stuck his hand all the way into the large pickle jar to replenish the pickle bin. No gloves no spoon just his bare hands. Then he preceded to prep the buns with lettuce, tomato, pickles and sauces. He didn't wash his hands after they were in the pickle jar. It was a busy lunch time hour and the food was just ok. But seriously $32 for a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a coke (plus tip)?!
google avatar

Eva R.

Yelp
The food was really good and I like the fact that my burger was not dry even though it was well done as I requested. Also their french fries were really good. The service was very fast and I would say it's worth the wait. The ambience is very chill and fast paced.

Yelp
The owner is on top of customer service and so are the workers who will serve you very tasty cheeseburgers and fries with a smile. Another great place that you will enjoy to eat in Downtown Palm Springs.

Beez K.

Yelp
I had to Stop by during day one of Coachella to visit this place, heard a lot of good things, knew it was very popular, which stood the test of time. With that, I Was greeted right away, sat inside, felt the AC right away and it was hot outside. I was given a menu right away, so i had to order a cold beer and went with two sliders with cheese, took a potato salad to go! Burger was fantastic, beef was cooked Medium to medium well and you can really enjoy all of the flavors! They can just sell sliders and it will still be busy! Taste was 8.9/10

Yelp
If you are ever in Palm Springs and want an awesome burger and enjoy being outside under a canopy I'd highly recommend you to come to Tyler's. The service here is pretty good and the food is marvellous. This is our goto spot when in Palm Springs. Give em a call before arriving to put yourself on the waitlist. Best time to go is when it's not summertime because you know Palm Springs can be grueling hot. Parking in the immediate area can be tough but it's definitely doable. The ambiance is nice as you sit can under the stars at nighttime and enjoy your surroundings. I personally like the bacon burger with a heap of fries. Come by and enjoy with your friends.

Yelp
First of all the service was very good. From the first server that welcomed me into the establishment until my server, and I can't remember her name now was fantastic. The burger that I ordered was medium rare, and it was perfectly made. I also had coleslaw, which was perhaps the best coleslaw I've ever eaten, this is the place that people from Palm Springs go to eat always good to find where the locals eat. I drove all the way from Yuma AZ just for this treat!

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Sometimes you just have to have a great burger and Tyler's did not disappoint. Excellent. Perfect burger served how you like it wrapped in paper to catch all the good stuff that falls out. The thin fries were a perfect combination of salty and crispy. The staff were extremely friendly and engaged in conversation. Would definitely return and recommend highly. Did I mention the price point is very affordable?

Teresita C.

Yelp
Burgers done perfectly!! Service is great!! A favorite Palm Springs hangout! When the weather allows, we bring our dog. They always welcome him with his own bowl of water and some doggie biscuits. We love Tyler's!!
google avatar

James G.

Yelp
Great Burger Friendly and helpful service. I sat inside while waiting for my to go order. Great spot ro hang out and watch the people walk up and down the street. Ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. Will definitely be back for more.
google avatar

Alexander B.

Yelp
Burger was delightful, but...everything is sold separately even the fries!! You would think there would be some burger fries combo, NOPE! Great burgers though if thats all you crave and nothing else.
google avatar

Kim T.

Yelp
This was our first time here and it was absolutely delicious! We had the chicken salad sandwich, hot dog, sliders with cheese, ham and cheese melt and a few drinks. The server Blanca was absolutely so kind! She brought our puppy some treats and our girls some ice cream cones. They also gave our dog a water bowl which was so kind. The ambiance was clear and inviting! We would definitely come back here again and highly recommend others to come again!
google avatar

Michael F.

Yelp
Outstanding outdoor atmosphere and service, but I expected the beef to have more seasoning for this price point
google avatar

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
This is my second time here and I have to admit. I'm a germaphobe. The staff is super friendly and super engaging. The menu is great . Both times I ordered my burger medium which is pink in the middle. Both times it was very well done. I never return food because I don't want to be that guy. Here is the issue I can't get past. The gentleman building the burgers . He was cutting open boxes of French Fries with a utility knife without washing his hands. Then laying his hands on the lettuce and and touching everything that got near him. This place can be a great spot . Some training is all this place needs. I hope you find my post helpful not hurtful.
google avatar

Elmer A.

Yelp
Hands down the best burger in the Coachella Valley. They grind their own meat here. Everytime we visit here and ask for medium rare, they successfully cook to perfect temperature. The service here is friendly and attentive. Dining is primarily patio dining. They are pet friendly. The potato salad is also pretty good. I prefer the potato salad over the french fries.
google avatar

Nick K.

Yelp
My favorite place in the desert. Me and my friend stop in here every time we are in town. The food is always perfect the prices are very reasonable and the lovely waitress always remembers us even if it's been months since we visited last. I love sitting out on the patio and having lunch at Tyler's. 11/10 recommend you eat here if you haven't .
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
This cute sandwich joint has great service and delicious food. I had the bacon burger that was delicious. Handmade patty, meat ground fresh each day. Delicious. My husband's cheeseburger was mine with cheese instead of bacon. Both came out warm with crispy lettuce and a red tomato slice. Fries were hot and crispy. We'll be back!
google avatar

Chloe C.

Yelp
Wonderful service and wonderful food. Their breads are freshly made. Please try the sourdough! Roxy was so sweet and accommodating to us and our doggie. I wish everywhere we went the service was as good as this!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
My chicken salad sandwich was really good. This place has great service and really good melts, soups, burgers, sandwiches and salads. We found this place after doing one of the local van tours. FIVE STARS all the way.
google avatar

Yelp
We were walking in Palm Spring and we were hangry. We saw a sign for Tyler's that said burgers it was definitely the right choice. You write your name on a clip board and wait to be seated. There aren't hostess here there is one guy that buss the tables and seats customers, he was pretty fast and very attentive. We ordered 3 bacon cheeseburgers my boys said they were good the quality of the bacon was on point. I ordered a BLT and that was delish!! We also ordered potato salad our server recommended it and it did not disappoint. It was so delicious that we ordered a second order! Definitely made in house. The order of fries is enough to share This was a delish find. Tyler's a bit on the pricy side which is to be expected. Can't wait to go back when in Palm Springs.

Yelp
June 2023 Value! If you're in town, this is one of the best priced hamburger and sandwich place. Perfect place on the outside patio for large groups, if you're a bicycle group, motorcycle club, out of town visitors, this place is definitely a crowd-pleaser. We sat on the outside patio, about 100 degrees. BUT, in the shade under the awning, and with the fan going and the water mist, it was actually kinda nice. Food is great. The price you pay for the value of food you get is totally worth it. If you're a tourist, or coming in from out of town, this is one of those places where you get your money's worth for sure. I got a turkey sandwich, and felt completely satisfied with my order. The Taste was good, you can tell the oven roasted turkey was fresh and real. This isn't deli meat for sure. It's an actual real turkey breast that they roast on site. Some of the other people in our group had gotten burgers, and those all looked great. Again, priced fairly. The service was on point. Our waiter came back several times to check in on us. Parking is kind of tricky. If you can find a space in the lot where the restaurant is, your golden. Otherwise, you do have to drive around a little bit and try to find a 2 hour Spot somewhere. Though there are no bathrooms on site, it's just a quick 200 ft walk to the nearest one, which is in one of the businesses close by. They will give you the code for the gate to enter.

Rudy B.

Yelp
I travel to Arizona on business quite a bit and "pit-stop" in Palm Springs to break up the drive. I have heard of Tyler's in the past and great reviews. Well let me tell you, it was better than what I expected. The location is in the center of Palm Springs so it's busy but they got my daughter and I in there quickly. The food was some of the most delicious burgers and hotdogs I have ever had and they serve a spectacular creamy Cole slaw. Service was on point and the ambiance was every thing you'd expect at an awesome Palm Springs restaurant. Can't wait for the next time.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
The food was great at Tyler's. Three of us had burgers and one a patty melt. We all enjoyed the main courses along with the side order of potato salad. We recommend getting the potato salad. Staff was also friendly and very speedy. They did a great job of getting our order taken and food delivered quickly. A great lunch.

Clock C.

Yelp
Both the owner Diana, a long time property owner in Old Las Palmas, and primary server Roxanne, are A+ people. I've reviewed and owned restaurants since the early 1970s, and Tyler's -- for its menu, pricing and service -- would achieve a 2 star Michelin rating if Michelin deigned to venture into upscale Palm Springs -- many people call it Beverly Hills South. Yelp
I'm not a fan of paying big bucks for a simple hamburger that doesn't even come with fries; however, it was one of the best hamburgers I've had in a long time. Service was good. I gave it four stars due to lack of value. Maybe include a small basket of fries for every two hamburgers purchased at the table.
google avatar

Dane S.

Yelp
Without a doubt, the best burger, french fries, milkshakes and sandwiches I've ever had hard to beat this place!!!!!
google avatar

Thomas H.

Yelp
Had a burger there yesterday in honor of national cheeseburger day. Very happy with the burger. I had the bacon cheeseburger. Really like the thickness of the burger and the bun. Good quality meat. Next time I'll try the egg salad.

Fred L.

Yelp
Five star service and excellent food. The restaurant vibe is lively and a fun downtown experience.
google avatar

Valerie V.

Yelp
This a cute burger joint. The burgers are made fresh; I love how crisp the veggies tasted. Fries and a cup of chili as a side was a nice add on to the burger. It is however on the expensive side. One burger with the fixings, no sides, will be around 15 bucks.
google avatar

Andi H.

Yelp
Stopped by after landing at the PSP airport and location was perfect, only an 8 minute drive. The outside dining atmosphere was the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the mountains. The burgers are filling portions at 7 oz each. The fries were so good, not too oily or greasy. The milkshakes are also the perfect way to top off the meal! Also not too pricey for a California meal, would highly recommend!
google avatar

Jeremy B.

Yelp
Slow service, but burgers are worth the wait! Check it out if looking for a delicious burger in the desert.
