"Typica started serving specialty coffee in 2015 from a small cafe in the south of the city back when few people realized that there was an audience for this type of shop in Bolivia. Though the country produced some of the world’s best coffee, many local drinkers were accustomed to dark, sweet cups the way their abuelas made them. With its quirky mishmash of vintage decor and cozy vibe, the cafe won over residents and soon became popular enough to expand nationwide. Typica Obrajes is the newest branch to open, in a restored colonial house with a fountain in the inner courtyard. Great spot for a cofee break. We ordered drinks. The Jazmin tea and the chai dorado were great.

First of all, I'm happy to have a place with this quality in Obrajes, they chose a really beautiful old house which creates a really beautiful atmosphere. I understand they are in the process of getting organized and it was really full for a holiday, so it took a while to get our order. The coffee was perfect like other Typica restaurants, except for the cheesecake, it looks that it was the same recipe but a different hand. In brief it is a great place to have in Obrajes and I know they will be improving.

Lovely place to grab a coffee to go or dine in. Plenty of options for breakfast, brunch or afternoon tea. Outdoor seating al fresco available. Card payments available. My go to choices are the flat white, chicken sandwich and empanadas mix.

Love the place, good prices, great variety of food. The vintage style is ok, but sometimes their furniture is weak / too old or uncomfortable.

Despite being a place with a nice decoration, the coffee is always bad in this chain. But at least the attention could be good or better. However, I had to wait more than 10 minutes before having someone taking my order. This person has the worst attitude. Even paying was an unpleasant experience. Not a single reason to return.

One of the worst Typica places in La Paz City. The staff was completely useless. They took my order and they never returned, after one hour waiting for a simple cup of Americano and chocolate croissant. I just left. Worst attention ever....
