Tysons Corner Center

Had a wonderful time at Tysons Corner Center! It’s truly one of the best spots in the area for a complete family outing. The mall has an amazing mix of shopping options — from popular brands to unique stores — and there’s always something new coming up. Hershey’s Chocolate World, newest Zara store and few more new brands.They have few stores especially for kids. The food options are just as impressive — whether you’re craving a quick bite or a proper sit-down meal, there’s something for everyone. Overall, it’s a perfect place for shopping, good food, and spending quality time with family. Definitely a go-to mall for a fun day out!

Loved the shopping mall. First time visited the place. I went there to see the Primark store as they opened it recently. It is one of my favourite brand to buy regular stuffs. Well known B/ C category brands shop is there along with few chinese and regular local food chain.

One of the largest shopping mall in VA. With many shops and brands, this is a great one-stop location to do your shopping. There are 2 main eating areas: 1)Food Court on the 3rd floor near AMC theater and 2)Fast food restaurants congregated on the 1st floor next to the revolving sushi joint. Parking can be hard to find and traffic in and out during the busy shopping hours can be long.

A very large mall with plenty of parking garages attached to it for parking. There are 3 stories here so plenty of shops and restaurants for everybody. I spent about 30 minutes inside the mall while my car charged in the parking garage and didn't have time to make it down to the bottom floor. Endless amounts of room for mall walkers, endless amount of shops for shoppers! I felt safe and the mall was well lit with basically every storefront occupied. This mall will be around for years to come!

Tysons Corner is an amazing place for families and outings. There are so many things to do that you can easily spend the whole day here without realizing how time flies. A perfect spot for weekend outings. Highly recommended for my favorite @shotted coffee 😍

Awesome mall. HUGE. Easy to get to on the metro. Nice variety of stores. Good way to spend a couple hours. The food court options were really just so-so for the size and quality of mall. Hours are nice. A couple stores, american girl and one of the larger dept stores, closed before the mall itself did, which I thought was odd. Liked the outside area with the added fire pits for ambiance and warm.

Took my daughter to the American Girl Doll store. If you have never been to one of these it can be a bit overwhelming at first. The store in Tysons Corner has 2 levels and a beauty salon for the dolls. If you know what your looking for (my daughter had a list) you can get in and out in less than 20 minutes. The staff was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about ALL of the dolls, both past and present. Cost wise.......you already know know.....it's not cheap but the quality is top notch.

Tradition for our family to visit in January, near hubbies birthday. Come from rural Frederick to join civilization (as I call it)… my kids love it. When I grew up in the 80s-90s we looked forward to wearing our good clothes and meeting friends at the ( Columbia/ Towson Town) mall. I miss lugging bags- arms filled to my elbows. The nostalgia and fond memories… our childhood revolved around malls. Now— so many malls and department stores struggle, half Of the stores are open… barely surviving the onslaught of online retailers and cheap Low quality knockoffs… I enjoy our time at Tysons with all the best designers and department stores, no one leaves disappointed. We spare no wxpense, and make sure the kids get the full experience. I love this mall… the opportunity to get back to basics, slowing down to enjoy a long weekend with my family, reminiscing about the good ol’ days of Our youth.

Great mall! First time here and positive reviews were on the mark. Plenty of parking and the lights letting you know in advance which spots are open makes parking so much easier. Plenty of food options available as well as a couple of nice sit down restaurants. Large mall with lots and stores with something for every taste and price. Nice to see a lot of people out shopping Great place to people watch, people of all ages and lots of families.

I love this mall. Despite the crowds, the store offerings are excellent. However - I think I speak for everyone when I say FIX YOUR DANG ESCALATORS. Also, another escalator is needed by the Macys. Too many times I've literally spent ages walking laps around this mall just trying to get back to where I started lol This mall is way too big for that.

My cousin got physically assaulted and robbed while sipping and strollling at Tyson Corner Center on 2/13/24. After he had been sipping and strolling, he was assaulted by 5 men when going home outside the mall. When I called the cops he was arrested for public intoxication even after he said, he was defending himself against five assailants!!! Not only that, the police gave his shopping items to the assailants even though he gave me his belongings that night. Could it be because my cousin is hispanic and he cant speak english?? Could it be because the police would not let me translate? I wouldn't sip and stroll in Tyson Corner Center because you might end up in jail while minding your business, sipping and strolling like my cousin did.

One of the biggest malls I've ever been to - this place is huge! Good variety of stores though it can be tricky to navigate. Definitely appreciate the easy Metro access.

Back at this hotel again. This stay was nice and pleasant as always. My room was interesting this time. On the 3rd floor looking inside. Not sure if I liked that. Oh well. The staff here is so welcoming and kind. I'm grateful for that.

I came back to this mall after so many years. Parking is easy with indication of how many spots available. Large Direction spots almost at every corner so it's easy to find the store you want to go. All the big brand names are here and so do the food court and other restaurants. Great place for one stop shopping

Came here for the Lunar New Year celebration. It was so fun! This mall has done numerous events throughout the year for all kinds of holidays from different cultures. I can feel that the management wants to make bigger impact than just opens a bunch of stores for shoppers. I'm very glad to have such a great place to hangout close to where I live.

I always passed by Tyson's corner mall but never had time to visit . This time , I made sure I went to this mall. On a first note , this place was soooooooo good ! Amazing mall. Parking is outside and is very convenient... we can see how many spots are available for parking and jt clearly shows green or red Lights for parking availability.. So many restaurants.. and there are multiple cuisines .. kids love the food here . Also , there are so many shops inside . Big brands . Loved it overall. Of course it is a bit expensive inside .. I still had fun visiting this mall.

Pro: free parking garage, big and spacious shopping mall, clean interior. Con: non This mall is the biggest that I have ever seen compared to lake forest, Wheaton mall, or Montgomery mall. They have a garage that will show you how many available parking there are. The inside of the mall in modern and clean. They have an AMC theatre and food court on 3rd floor and other food vendor scattered throughout the mall. All in all, I pretty good place to stop by and do some window shopping.

We went to Cirque Du Soleil Echo today. It was amazing. The bathrooms were so clean. They were the best portapotties(idk how to spell them)...I have ever seen. Idk if it was Cirque Du Soleil's norm or Tyson's corner center, but regardless, I had to write a review about our experience. The concession stand employees were all happy and had great customer service. The show was amazing. The seating was clean. Overall 5 star experience.

Virginia's prestigious, upscale retail destination, boasting as one of the largest shopping districts in the country. Things you should know: I. PARKING There is available customer parking that conveniently shows green (open spaces) and red (occupied spaces). You could also take the Silver Line of the metro here. II. SERVICE Varies per store but all together demonstrated a more deluxe experience III. QUALITY This location is an excellently maintained mall ~ not exclusively including the interior walkways and stores in this comment but also including the bathrooms. IV. CAPACITY Not overwhelmingly busy for a weekend. Widely open and little foot traffic.

I grew up a few miles from here, and have been coming here my whole life (since the early 80's). This review is the culmination of the last 20 or so visits I've made here over the two years. The mall has gone downhill considerably over the past 10 years. This mall loses 3 big stars per two major reasons I've noted below: Issue number 1: Currently, in 2024, the mall looks dated (at best) and in many places has deteriorated quite horribly (see pics for what I'm referring to). The tiles don't appear to have been replaced since the 80's during the first major renovation, and the management, for some unknown reason, removed all the comfortable bench seating that was throughout the mall. The men's restroom by the food court on the lower level (near the old Panera) is so gross I refuse to use it. Issue number 2: Rent greed! The mall has lost some of its best tenants and I wonder how hard they fought to keep them. Pottery Barn recently departed, as did LL Bean. Supposedly LL Bean was trying to negotiate down to a smaller space but wasn't able to come to terms with the management. Not sure if that's true or not, but LL Bean was one of the highlights of this mall. And most recently, Barnes and Noble is closing! Supposedly, per an unidentified sales associate I spoke with the other day, that location was doing well but the wall wanted a restaurant in that space (here again, not confirmed, but seems plausible). So frustrating as mall management seems out of tune with what shoppers really want. Issue number 3: growing up the mall had fabulous Christmas/holiday decorations that have all but disappeared in recently years. I don't understand why this is. I get that the demographic has changed over the years, but why drastically scale back holiday decor because of this? This mall was always the pride and joy when we had family and friends visiting from out of the country. When such visitors wanted to go shopping, always took them shopping at Tysons - they were so impressed. It was in many ways a source of pride and joy for NoVA. Last year I had family visiting from another country (one that's technically classified as third world) and not only were they unimpressed, they commented how much more pristine malls are in their country of origin. As another reviewer aptly said, I hope Tysons Corner Center has restore some of it's glory from yesteryear.

Ah! I had previously written about Tyson's Galleria, the upscale but smaller version! Tyson's mall is filled with shops like Macys, Nordstrom, and Bath and Beyond. There is a revolving sushi dining place at the center as well.

1.14.23 I stopped by the mall after having lunch with a friend nearby to return an online purchase from American Eagle. This mall is BIG for someone like me who has no sense of direction and gets confused and lost easily. I made sure to take photos of signs of where I parked hoping it would help when I returned to my car. After doing so, I went down the stairs and had no idea where to go once I got to the main level. Fortunately I saw someone and asked which way to get to Nordstroms as it was the closest anchor store to AE. The mall has a lot of mainstream retailers and I was also surprised to find that online retailers such as Thirdlove has a brick and mortar store. I had no idea. Again, since I have no sense of direction although I tried to look at a map, I had to ask someone for help as I was going around in circles looking for AE. I was so relieved when I finally found it. I love this mall. It seems classier, more upscale, cleaner, and brighter compared to other malls I frequent in Maryland. There were a lot of painfully slow-paced walkers so I had to go around a lot of people. Hence, why I typically shop when the mall first opens to avoid the crowd. Just as I suspected, I could didn't quite remember where I parked so the signs didn't help. I believe I actually walked by my car. The only good that came out of it was it helped me reach my 10K goal on my fitbit. Lol. (Note to self, must make it a new year's resolution to learn how to read a map.) This may just be the best mall in the DMV area.

Great shopping center. My go-to whenever I need some new clothes, shoes, or really anything. I haven't had a negative experience here, aside from the salesmen in the little middle shops trying to push me to purchase their products. But it's a good mall, good value, and you can get some good food too!

Huge mall with every store you can think of. If you don't go in with a plan, you'll get lost and be in the mall all day. Hard to find stores. Can get pretty crowded on the weekends, but plenty of parking, outside restaurants and a cool area to walk around.

1961 chain bridge road , Tysons Va We were in Virginia and decide to go walking in the mall . Supper pretty and large they had the stores my daughter likes to shop at . I personally avoid malls because the temptation is great . Parking is not free . Plenty of fast food places to eat and even a Whole Foods store .

10.15.2023 Sunday @2pm As our usual mall every time I come visit my daughter at Georgetown University. Is less then 30mins drive and have all the store she usually likes.

They always greet me in a friendly, welcoming, highly professional manner and they exhibit outstanding customer service while simultaneously guarding and protecting the beautiful Tysons Corner Center mall so people can peacefully enjoy it. They really know how to hire the best security officers! You are appreciated, highly respected, and you make Tysons Corner Center a very special place.

I spent a great deal of time in the Vienna region as a kiddo. Year after year, my favorite outing was always the same -- Tyson's Corner. The mall was unlike anything I'd ever seen, and I come from the land of the world's largest mall (back when malls were invented). The entire facility glittered. I no longer frequent Vienna much these days, but recently visited over the holiday seasons. Honestly -- and it pains me to say it -- I was a little disappointed. The center is still clean and vibrant, but the shops are no longer unique (mostly due to our global economy, me thinks) and the atmosphere was more sterile than "holiday." Of course, my perspective has totally changed, being 30 years older, etc., but I do hope that Tyson's can someday recapture some of the magic it once held.

Always enjoy shopping here, there's a great selection of stores! There's also tons of options for food, whether you want to dine there or take something to go.

Wow... this is one big mall! There is a good balance of higher end and lower end stores, so something for most shoppers. And some nice places to rest and recharge -- body and screens. Lots of eating options as well, including a nifty sushi place with rotating options.

Lately it's been a real annoyance, although have to go here sometimes. The crowds are back and then some. Good luck in the parking garage, and if you value your ride, park on the top deck away from others. Recently got more Adventus from Bloomingdale's, and hauled tail out, as the amount of people was overwhelming. On a previous visit, getting a game from GameStop requires some aspirin. What really disappoints me, is that there's no LL Bean anymore. I absolutely love that brand. There's still the Barnes and Noble, along with the always delicious Coastal Flats. It is I believe the 8th biggest mall in the USA. There are plenty of stores to choose from. Just prepare to spend time here, as traffic is a major annoyance.

One stop shop, but 5 miles of walking LOL. I love this place. I can almost guarantee that if I am looking for something, I can find it here. What I won't be able to find though is a close parking spot. I really love this mall over any other in the area, but I am well aware I will need my walking shoes on. As busy as this place is, it is usually really clean to have so much foot traffic. And I know I complained about the walking , but it is perfect for getting your step count up. Parking isn't bad either. With updated parking garages it is quick and easy to find ope parking (one of my favorite features). If you're in the area, this is a perfect place for leisurely shopping.

Tyson's used to be my favorite mall when I was younger. Nowadays, I'm not sure how I feel about it. There's a large variety of stores and food to choose from and the interior of Tyson's is arguably one of the best in the DMV area. But in recent years there has been a lot of shooting threats, shoplifters, mall fights, etc. It makes the mall feels unsafe honestly and I'm confused as to why the mall won't hire more security, especially after someone fired a few shots within the mall in 2022. A lot of great places in the mall have closed (like Microsoft and Disney) and I find the mall is a lot dirtier than it used to be. A lot of the places that are currently open are expensive and honestly not worth it. I'm hoping in the future this mall can regain the glory it had in its 2010-2015 era.

9/29/22 Stores are opening and stores are closing there doors forever...or so I thought. One store that closed in 2021 is a store called Massage Express. The owner Helen was forced to close the store due to Covid-19. Today, while walking through the mall, my wife and I saw the new sign for Massage Express. The new location will be taking over the old spot of The Washington Redskins Store. The shop will be close to The Nordstrom Store and across from the coffee station. This is a busy are and it will be in direct competition with Pure Foot Spa which had two locations in the mall. The last time I talked to Helen, she had informed me she wasn't sure when she would be reopening, but I guess her time with friends and family has run its course and it is time to go back to work. I think this store...no...business is going to do well. I don't know if the same person is going to be running this new business, but only time will tell. I look forward to being one of the first customers visiting this place when it opens.

GENERAL Tyson's Corner Center is THE mall to go to in the DMV area. There is no shortage of shops available (the only popular shop they seem to be missing is always Nike), and new ones are always coming on the horizon. It's a great place to shop, socialize at the various restaurants/cafes, watch a movie, and more. In the wintertime, there is an ice skating rink outside by the Shake Shack available to skate at with wonderful overhead lights as well. There is always something to do at the mall here, and it changes by season. FOR KIDS There is a playground located on the third floor by the AMC and the food court for kids to play in. There is always a train that circles the floor available to ride at select times as well. BATHROOMS Of the times I've been, the bathrooms have usually been clean and tidy. I haven't had many qualms with them so far beyond an occasional lack of toilet paper (usually during holiday season). PARKING There is never a shortage of parking (except for Black Friday), and if you're parking in the garage, there are lights that turn red/green depending on if the spot is free. It's very helpful, especially if the mall is busier than normal.

Pretty decent mall, taking into account both size AND quality of stores it's the best in the area. Galleria right across the street it's much smaller and all high end stuff, but with Tyson's you kind of get it all. Parking can be hectic but there's plenty of spaces if you're patient, I prefer the parking garage near the downstairs food court. There is a larger food court and a movie theatre on the third floor though. Pretty cool that it's connected by a pedestrian bridge to the Hyatt with a couple restaurants out there too.

Time to get festive! Tysons Corner's Community Tree Lighting Ceremony with Santa, holiday music, performances, vendors, etc. Great community event, and it was a nice way to kick off the holiday season. Only suggestion...they needed more people working the hot chocolate and s'mores bar.

Tysons Corner Center is still hands down the best mall in the DC metro area, especially on the VA side. They have ample parking, and tons of stores and have been able to keep up with updating and bringing fresh new stores into this mall to stay current with brands and trends instead of letting it sink into what I call the typical mall despair where they turn into relics of the time when they were first built. So impressed that even after all these years (I've been frequenting this mall for over the past decade!) that they have managed to stay on trend with so many cool new stores. If you're also hungry from shopping up a storm, this place also is packed with eateries, food courts, an AMC theatre, and so much more.

This place is well maintained and as are the restrooms. It is especially impressive due to the mall being decently busy. The shops here provide variety and many different kind of shops are here. It allows for the possibility to visit different stores to fulfill wants and needs. The atmosphere is bustling which I personally prefer. The employees that work here are polite and are helpful. This mall also provides helpful aid such as interactive maps and other amenities to ensure happiness of customers such as lounges and charging areas. I recommend this place to go for your shopping.

Big mall. Was very clean. Had time to burn and decided to walk mall and get dinner. Overall good experience.

Great external lively area to sit and enjoy the outdoor environment. Starbucks, a restaurant and Shake Shack is nearby. Free parking.

I greatly enjoy this mall and have visited several times alone and with friends. I am giving them a 1 star review due to an experience I had in their American Eagle Store. I also posted this on their store yelp location, but I felt it was important to also post on the main mall yelp. My review is below: For a company that claims to value body positivity and lift up people with disabilities, I am extremely disappointed by how American Eagle treated me as a person with a temporary disability on mobility aids (forearm crutches). American Eagle need to train their associates to treat people with disabilities the same way their corporate team upholds their disabled models they use to advertise their clothing. Previous to my experience, I believed American Eagle was a body disability inclusive brand (even launching their Abilitee Adaptive Wear line). I will not be shopping here again and I will be outspoken about my experience in this store. My friend and I went here to shop for t-shirts and sweatpants, when, after 10 minutes in store, I needed to sit down for a minute or two due to exhaustion from using the crutches. I looked for somewhere to sit, but I could not find anywhere available. When my friend went to the fitting room to try something on, I found a corner of a wooden display unit and made sure to not sit on the merchandise. I sat there for a minute before an associate came to me and said I needed to stand. She did NOT offer any alternatives or accommodations. When I showed her my crutches and asked for another minute, her response did not change; she still said I needed to get up (essentially saying I needed to get up or leave the store). As I was leaving the store, another employee rushed toward me and told me that she could bring me a chair or could make room for me in the fitting rooms. I was already so disappointed by my experience I felt I needed to exit the store. I understand associates do not want customers sitting on their store displays due to many reasons (makes location less shoppable, clothing could be damaged). Either way, her response repulsed me. I once worked at an American Eagle location (not this one), so it saddens me that I do not feel comfortable shopping here again.

Very very high class mall. Almost all the high-end stores are here. There's even a 7-11 inside the mall. The general crowd here is mainly all classes & all nationalities of all ages. The mall is virtually spotless. Also they have the cleaning people going around maintaining the place as well as the bathrooms. The employees in most of the stores are extremely helpful, friendly & social. Also there is barely any empty space like some malls. Most of the stores are following the social distancing recommendations and providing sanitizer. The mall as well as the parking lot has a good amount of visible security guards plus the parking garages have good lighting to reduce crime. The only downfall is despite walking thru the entire mall. There were no visible automatic hand sanitizer stations anywhere to be found in the general mall areas. I actually had to go inside a store to use their sanitizer. With all the money Tysons Corner is making. They can afford to put sanitizer stations thru the mall general areas. Overall though. One of the best malls around.

It's a nice mall and my husband and I like going here a lot. However!! I noticed a lot of dogs being walked around and on our way out there was this pile of dog poop right in the middle of the walkway. Disgusting. People, leave your pets at home.

I really like this Corner Center, it's in a great area and they really did a good job on building this. Plenty of parking and there's a big playground in the middle for kids to run around to wear off that energy...while parents can wait to be called for dining! :). There are plenty of eateries to choose from and lots of shops to fancy your style. It is one of my favorite shopping plazas!

I'm starting to notice that in the last 3 years, Tysons Corner has been losing good stores such as Clarks, LL Bean, West Elm, William Sonoma, and now Pottery Barn. I read that LL Bean was trying to negotiate the lease renewal with them but weren't able to agree on terms. I'm thinking that the Tysons owners got delusional and greedy. It's sad because these stores had been at the mall for at least twenty years. It's sad to see that the flagship LL Bean that was two level is now closed off. On top of this, there's always a strong weed smell from the parking lot on the 4th floor area behind the Hyatt.

Best bang for your buck in terms of shopping, food and retail areas within striking distance of the tri-state area. Coming from the western part of Maryland - it's about 2hrs away depending on the traffic. With my latest trip being within the holidays - it was very busy and if anything we lucked out in terms of finding parking. One cool amenity is the lights above each parking spot either green (open space) or red (occupied). So you are able to look down the aisles and not waste time. There are a ton of shops here - you name it, it's probably there. The only snubs - which are at the Tyson's Galleria are Polo, Louis, and Gucci etc (more high end). With being from Maryland, I compare this to Arundel Mills but here there are about 3X food options from food court to sit down restaurants. There is also a movie theatre as with Arundel Mills, which i didn't walk uP and see but it compares. Really would like to come back here ASAP!

Great mall, high end and low end stores including new Brooks Brothers store. Not many benches or places to sit. Key to know: if cannot find products in solo Kiehl's store, also check the Kiehl's section in Nordstrom in the cosmetic and cologne/perfume section. Food court not the greatest but decent.

I love Tysons Mall in VA. Not because the deals are great or it's anything special in speciality stores etc. But because it's my childhood mall which reminds me of going here forever. I've been here so many times but it never gets boring. Over the years, this mall has expanded in stores and parking spaces. Some of my favorite stores: Zara, Bloomingdales, Uniqolo and more. Whenever I visit this mall, Earl's Kitchen seems to be the place to grab a quick bite to eat. Due to the holiday season, this mall gets jam packed. They have employees in the parking garages on the weekends to help with the traffic flow. Side Note- For high end stores, visit Tyson's Galleria Mall. It's across the street from Tyson's Corner. Both malls can be visited in the same day if you plan to make a Mall day.~

I've been here before but well over 15 years ago. It is extremely well built up since then. What's even better...is that we rode the silver line all the way here on the metro! The mall is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Yes, it's pretty packed with the holiday season and all. We actually came here on Black Friday. Many of the stores had sales. I'm so glad I got to visit here! and even more happy I didn't have to drive!

I went to Tyson's corner with a friend. I went looking for Abercrombie and we were able to find it and get what we needed. We got a little hungry and wanted to get something to eat there. We honestly didn't feel like there were that many choices of places to eat. It wasn't a great variety however, we picked Indian and it was okay. After shopping for a while we went to Starbucks and sat in the indoor seating area right by it. It was pretty and we enjoyed it there. All in all, I think it's a basic mall. I just liked that I found what I needed and that's what matters. Parking was not a hassle. There are lots of choices there. I noticed most of the stores like Zara and H&M have one floor of men's and one floor of women's which can be cool. I was just a little confused at first. Still, I say this is a great hangout spot and has some good stores.

Got into a 'best mall in the DMV' debate with a friend and realized I hadn't reviewed Tysons Corner yet. Yes, that does mean we (rightfully) settled on Tysons as the best. Sure, malls are malls, and no matter how you feel about them, Tysons clearly reigns supreme over other properties, even when looking at sq ft over sq ft. Due to its massive size, there's just so much more that is there that you can't find at any other malls - some of my favorites include Superdry, Uniqlo, and the two floor Zara. As far as dining, you've got anything from a quick casual bite to legit places to grab dinner and drinks that won't make your guests go, "wait, we're eating at the mall?". Pro tip: try to not go on a weekend unless you LOVE lines :)

Most of the shops in the mall is now open, although hours are different (many closing around 6-7PM). There are limits to the number of people allowed in to shop, so a line builds up during the weekend. Be prepared to wait for a few minutes to enter, especially if its a small shop! Certain outlets dont allow people in (like Lush), and you can only order through someone at a table taking orders. Most changing rooms are not open to public, so it might be better to just shop online. It was my first time at Tysons today and I was very excited to walk around. There is a nice large outdoor area for seating on the top floor near the metro connection. Grab your takeout and head up there to eat!

The bees knees of malls! First, let me start by saying why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. The parking situation! It is always so very chaotic trying to find a parking space whether it be 11am on a Tuesday or 3pm on a Friday. They did install a fancy system with red and green lights to help you locate a parking space. Parking is free. They now offer a valet service as well as Tesla parking. Furthermore, I love the actual mall! It is 3 levels and literally has all the stores you can think of! Even ones you would never think of! I have been visiting Tyson's since I was able to go to the mall. There has seen slight changes from here and there but mostly looks the same. They have a fancy touch screen store locator now. Tyson's tends to get crazy, crazy busy. Even at times you would think no one is going to be there, people are there!

*Picture this* a young Jem with her middle school friends shopping and talking around the mall.....now picture me a whole adult still doing the same thing with my friends!! I have always since day one been a fan of Tyson's Corner Center. No mall can compare it's extensive array of stores, restaurants, etc. they have a Dj now which I think is kinda cool. They are always renovating and expanding. Only gotten better with time! Bus stop is ideal in case you find yourself without a car in need of some retail therapy, parking is plentiful.

Love this shopping center but it has gotten quite sprawling over the past 15-20 years! Management does a good job, though, balancing actual establishments where you can buy things you either need or want without necessarily paying an arm and a leg (although there are a few of those stores as well ... or you can just go over to Tyson's II). Great selection of restaurants as well, from fast food to specialty snacks (yay Yogen Fruz!) to upscale dining. The only downside is the TRAFFIC. Try to go during off hours (during the day, mid-week, etc) and avoid avoid avoid visiting in mid-November when the holiday crush starts, unless you have an hour to spend sitting in the car just trying to get back to the Beltway.

The many plethora of good reviews on here confirms my 2 star review that I'm about to give. It's about the undercurrent of greed and consumerism in this country. Indulge me for a moment... Malls are outdated catacombs of thirst trap consumerism. Over 100 stores are vying for your attention and coinage. They don't care how they get it or what you had to do to earn that money. They'll seduce you in their store so you can relinquish that hard earned money. That's why there's soo many "the interior is pristine," "there are many classes of people here," "it's a high end mall" blah blah five star reviews. But Tysons corner and the ever greedy Tysons II mall doesn't care about you. Let me explain why... First of all, the outside of the mail is not inviting. It's a boxy disjointed mega building that's super inconvenient for locals to get to. But if you're coming off the highway or from the metro you could accidentally sleep walk into this place real easily. That's by design. They know savvy locals won't come here everyday (we go to TJ Maxx, Marshall's or Burlington) so when they designed traffic they didn't care that if I'm coming from Vienna on Maple Ave you have to make this awkward right half left-right turn. Parking is a disaster and not because there isn't enough parking--they made sure to have plenty spaces. It's the walking from the garage to the entrance of the mall--btw whereTF is the entrance? Is it here? Over there by Cheesecake Factory? Or across the street at Ty II?? Speaking of Cheesecake Factory, have y'all found an easy way to get there off the street?!?? No! Because they want to lull you in while you're shopping. I'm really giving malls all across America two stars for accessibility, greed and not really caring about the customer. America is moving to an open air plaza concept where you park your car and walk to the singular entrance of the store you want to go to and not be inundated with a bunch of other overpriced stores you don't care about. Rant over.
