In 2025 the U City market shifted from the Delmar Loop to tree‑lined Heman Park, keeping its produce, artisan foods, chef demos, and music. Sauce Magazine reported the move and weekly schedule.

We enjoy shopping at the U City Farmers Market year-round. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We were attracted by products that are organic, grass fed, free range, or fresh caught. It is open every Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm through November 2, 2025. It is also open Thursdays 4pm-7pm through September 25. Additionally, there are special events. Currently at Centennial.Commons 7210 Olive Blvd in Heman Park. See their web page or social media pages for more details.

The lady that runs the market is very rude. I don’t have a problem with the vendors as they’re always very kind to me. I don’t come here often because my last experience was not the best. I noticed the racism straight away coming from the lady that runs the market. I decided anyway to come back and get some coins using the snap program. As I’m purchasing the items. I was told the wrong information on which coins I could use when purchasing a certain product. It was no problem. I paid cash instead for the remainder as it was only a couple dollars left to pay and I’d rather the farmers get their money worth. Anyway, I approached the lady asking if something was available for me to get Using the snap program, I genuinely did not know, so the vendor asked me to ask her to make sure it was OK. I wasn’t pressing or anything. Instead of a simple, yes or no, I was told that I knew this as I’ve been here before and I actually worked at the market previously years ago, I didn’t work with the snap very often, and this is only my second time on the other side of things. She pointed at the sign, very aggressively, saying to me. You know this you know this. It was very rude. It made me feel very small. As a black woman I’m used to racism..It’s s something we always have to be used to but this? I’m supporting you! I’m supporting the vendors! I’m supporting the farmers! Weather im using cash or snap should not matter. It was no problem as I covered the cost for a loaf of bread with cash. I was tokd to put my food back. She was very rude. Remember to be kind to one another. This world is already such a hard place to live in and you never know what others are going through. I’m very disappointed in how she acts towards me. She knows me as we’ve known each other for years, but I forget at the end of the day that she will treat me a certain way just because of the color of my skin. I will not be returning. I wish a good season to the amazing farmers and vendors. Please take consideration of how you treat your customers in the future. And ask Yourself if you would like to be treated the way you have repeatedly treated me.

Worst farmers market I've ever laid eyes on. There was only one person selling fresh produce and maybe 5 vendors total. Definitely a disappointment.

Not much to see but it's to early in the season to tell

It's a very nice farmers market to check out (and a great place to spend money that stays local!) But I was disappointed that the website didn't have more information about which vendors to expect. I read on the website that they have "bread, artisanal meat, vegetables, fruits, pastries, coffee, and handmade goods" or something to that effect, but when I went on a Saturday in late May there was only pastries, coffee, and handmade gift items. I know it's early in the season for vegetables and fruits, but I was going hoping to buy fresh baked bread, jam, and artisanal meats to take on a hike. I could only find jam, and bread and meat isn't seasonal so I'm not sure why the website claimed they have those vendors. I think the group that organizes this farmers market could do a much better job with transparency.

Came to check out the market and weren't sure about the hours the first guy we talked to explained things really well. It was raining so we were sitting under the awning for a few minutes and some guy came up and told us that we had to leave because they were shutting down. Which I was confused because it's not like they were first of all ready to lock up right that second and also there's no lockable door it's just an open space. That really makes me want to go spend my money there yeah...will not be returning

Not a big selection of stuff. Good place only if you go check it out first. If you like what they have on your first visit, then you can decide if it is a good place for you to get what you need. Nice little place. I will stress they are not like a bigger farmers market but it will work for some people.

Google
Small but good. Things seemed reasonably priced and they had a couple really good hot food stalls as well for lunch.

Yelp
Its very small but still great. We may have gone on an off week but it was still enjoyable. There was a small petting zoo with a few animals. Couple food stands. Al in all it was a good time but could definitely use a couple more tents. Luckily its on the loop so there are plenty if other places to go to after the market if you're looking for more to do!

Yelp
This is a very cute farmers market! They had a small petting zoo when we went. It was a little disappointing that it was so small. There were probably like 10 booths. The majority of them weren't selling fresh produce like we were hoping. A lot of people selling baked goods.

Yelp
It is officially farmers market season and what an amazing find this farmers market truly is! The Delmar Loop isn't just for cool trendy restaurants, places to grab a drink, entertainment and people watching; now there is a mainstay that will help with our nutrition, health and that emboldens the local community. Discreetly tucked away in The Market on The Loop in the middle of the Delmar Loop (between Enigma Tattoo & Body Piercing and Market House Pub) is The Midtown Farmers Market. Please be mindful that in this same space, on Saturday you will also find what appears to be farmers market participants but they are not (Long Acres Farm). The actual farmers here are producers/growers; meaning the farmers and artisans grow or make the products they sell. These MO and IL farmers drive one - three hours to bring their goods to market. Since these farmers are nearby, some bonuses are less fossil fuel is used (that's great for the environment) and the farmers pick their produce at the very peak of its flavor (not weeks before like retail grocers). I will say at least one of the organic growers was insanely high. I have been to other places (farmers markets and national organic chains) and never spent $5.50 for two summer squash. My most recent trip found me with organically grown summer squash, freshly popped kettle corn, empanadas made locally, the freshest cheese and a delightful sense of comradery with fellow shoppers and an appreciation for the local farmers. Another cool stand out for this farmers market is that unlike most Saturday markets that close at noon, this market is open until 12:30! Come check this place out on a Saturday before going to an independent movie at the Tivoli or noshing on lunch at a locally owned restaurant; it will do your budget, your health and your conscious good - Support Local Food!

Yelp
Like the market and vendors but last weekend I went there to buy some goods and was approached by the manager saying I had to wear a mask or leave. I mean come on...it's outside and we are post-pandemic. Get with the program. The county and city have removed this requirement. I have a right to not wear a mask as I am an American, protected and it's a public place. I'll patronize other local markets until they change their policy. I also will complain to the city.

Yelp
What great offerings today. Everything was seasonal and smelled perfect. I got sweet potatoes, tomatoes, red potatoes, cantaloupe and a red pepper. Also available: cucumbers, zucchini, cherries, peaches, okra, radishes, cauliflower, plums, celery, carrots, lemons, limes, huge tomatoes and potatoes. Much more there. It's a great place to shop for fresh fruit and vegetables. Find them at: https://www.facebook.com/Midtown-Farmers-Market-655879797806495/
