Packed Review - Hyde Park - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Dumplings reimagined - that's the motto at Packed. It sounds interesting, and it is, but the end result leaves you wanting more. Walking into Packed leaves no doubt they’re big on the whole save the planet thing. In addition to green walls and pictures of cows, signs point out that all of the little plates and utensils are 100% compostable. You’ll be feeling good as you walk up to the counter, place your order, and take a seat waiting for your order of pastrami/corn dog/lobster dumplings to come out. But that’s when the problems with this fast-casual concept start. The dumplings come out as they’re prepared, which means not all at once. In a normal small plates setting this would be fine, but it feels off here. If you get several orders of three dumplings to share, you'll end up eating one or two dumplings at a time and then waiting for the rest. It’s like getting served a chipotle burrito in staggered 1/8 increments - not ideal. The dumplings themselves run the gamut from good to not so great. The one thing you can count on is an ever-changing menu and interesting combinations. Ever had a pastrami dumpling? Packed sometimes has them. Plus things like lobster, short rib, tamale, corndog, and cheeseburger dumplings. Our advice is to try them all, because this is more of a novelty stop in Hyde Park than a reoccurring meal. Packed is intriguing, but we're not ready to declare fancy, eco-friendly dumplings the next big trend. Not everything needs to be reimagined. Food Rundown "Packed" Dumplings The menu is broken up into different sections, and most fit into the "Packed" category. Options change monthly, but we've seen everything from duck, short rib, and pastrami, to cheeseburger, corn dog, and lobster dumplings. Don't hold back if you're here and feel free to try it all. Things are really hit or miss. "Ladled" Dumplings Packed always has a few dumplings in their "ladled" category, which means soup dumplings. Get them, whatever they are. Sides Skip the sides and order more dumplings." - Sam Faye

I had not heard of U-Pack until recommended by another company who could not manage our move. So glad I found them. Every person was helpful and professional. The Tampa crew to the Chattanooga crew and the customer service line were all great. I would recommend this company and will use them again.

We moved from Bend, Or to Chattanooga, using U-Pack was the easiest part of all of it! I needed to change my delivery date twice due to a delayed home sale and they were helpful and easy both times. When the day finally came to have the trailer delivered, it was delivered on time without issue and the driver talked to me about the best place to put it for loading, great communication! The only thing I wish I had done differently was talk to you U-Pack about how much space I would need, whatever you think you need add 10 to 20 feet more or ask the experts! The pick up of our trailer went smoothly without issues as well as the delivery to our new home in Chattanooga. The only hiccup was the plywood boards that are placed after it is full were moved, the driver had been sent a picture of them in place, but when we opened it, they had clearly been moved. Nothing was missing at all and it didn’t look like anything had shifted, just a little strange. We unloaded the truck and they were able to pick it up the same day, the rep in Chattanooga was extremely helpful and communicated with us when we arrived, and when the truck was ready to be delivered, picked up etc. Their drivers were also great to work with and really helpful regarding placement and process. I hope to never move 3000 miles again, but if I do I will use U-Pack without question!

Well, I took this route to move from West Palm Beach, FL to Chattanooga, TN. After I had secured their service, I was told that I could not have the containers dropped at my new address due to some logistics concerns. I never got told this until 1 container was already full. They claimed that they sent me a text several days earlier. I saw the message way after the day he was sent. They were not diligent in making sure I got that information. Realized that making the money for the freight shipment was all that mattered. The only plus is that 2 pieces of my possessions were broken. I would have to be totally out of other options to take this route in the future.

As stressful as a move can be, working with unpack was extremely pleasant. It's the one part of my move I did not have to worry about. Unpack customer service were extremely pleasant. Price was what they said it would be. No hidden fees. Dropped off and picked up trailer on dates they said. If you want an honest company and zero worries, choose Upack!

After doing the research, U-Pack made a cross-country (2000 mile) move the ONLY option to go with. They were very helpful and prompt in dropping off and picking up our container. Lacey in particular at the Knoxville dispatcher location made our move very smooth! Would recommend U-Pack to anyone.

The move went really well for the most part. Be sure that if you are doing the trailer move the you do your research on HOA rules. I did do my research and communicated and it was still a pretty intense ordeal. Thankfully the company was able to come and get trailer over the weekend to avoid any complications on my end. My ONLY frustrating moments were when the company didn't communicate about the arrival of drivers and that my stuff didn't stay on the schedule I was told. Communicating is so huge when making a state to state move. But overall and great experience!

We had a very steep driveway and the Relocubes worked great for us as a truck would not have worked. It would have taken 2-3 times as long to unload a truck from the bottom of the driveway. Very happy with the drivers, super friendly and accommodating. They got the cubes up the driveway gently and took them away on time. Everything turned out well for us, I would use them again.

I have nothing but good things to say about U-pack. We've used them twice from Southern California to the Chattanooga area. In every case, the people on both ends were professional, friendly and timely. Their website was a great start -- they don't MAKE you call for quotes -- they're happy to do so by email. After doing that initially I did call (actually a few times) and always got friendly, no pressure recommendations and options. There was no nickle-and-diming nor hidden fees, and everything was delivered on time as agreed. Our contents were fine -- routine shipping, no signs of problems -- and we were entirely satisified both times. I recommend U-pack highly and would suggest they be your first call if you're looking for this type of move. A final point -- they have several move-self options that give you a range of costs, making it easy to accommodate a budget.

If you're planning a cost effective, efficient way to move, U-Pack is an excellent choice. They delivered truck, picked it up, delivered 800 miles and picked up empty truck exactly when they said they would. The folks I dealt with were profession, polite and accommodating in every way.

The facility in Tennessee that started my move was amazing called before coming showed me how to use everything. The company in central valley ca that dropped it off and repacked it up was extremely unprofessional driver had major attitude. Didn't call before hand like I asked numerous of times and showed up whenever they wanted. Way over priced for the size of cubes.

My move was made easy and affordable. The trailer was delivered on time, loaded and picked up the same day. The delivery on the other end was also ontime. My goods were delivered in the same condition that they went on to the truck. This is the only way that I will ever move again. The drivers were friendly, courteous and helpful. Customer service was superior.
