Broth to bring all-you-can-eat shabu shabu to Chinatown - Eater Vegas

"Sitting next door to the sweet and savory Japanese menu of T-Swirl Crepe, Broth Shabu is pushing for an early October opening and taking over a roomy 5,487-square-foot space, large enough for a maximum occupancy of 170 inside. Focused on Japanese-style hot pots, but also inspired by pan-Asian flavors, Broth Shabu’s tables are all equipped with grills ready to heat up meats, vegetables, and seafood, plus vegetarian-friendly options." - Bradley Martin

Google
It's massive, so you can almost get seats at any time. Great price for the selection and the staff are super friendly. Unlike McDonald's their ice cream machine always works. I like they have a hot food station that serves things like pork bulgogi, French fries and Korean fried chicken.

Google
I took our family of 5 here on a Sunday night and the restaurant was empty… worried me a bit that maybe this place wouldn’t be that good but our server Ethan took great care of us and the food, quality and selection was incredible. We absolutely LOVED the option of having a grill in addition to the hot pot. The hot plate options are amazing and my kids devoured the bulgogi and donkatsu. Their vegetable, noodle and seafood bars had a wonderful variety. Their sauce bar was also well stocked with everything you would want. They also had yummy desserts that we all enjoyed. And the price was fantastic for everything we got. We were visiting from out of town and come to Vegas annually, and hands down this was the best place we’ve ever been to. Will absolutely plan to come here again!

Google
This place is truly exceptional! I wish it received more recognition so others could discover just how great it is. My husband, children, and I come here often, and we always order the spicy tonkatsu broth—it's absolutely incredible. I also want to highlight Sara, who is by far one of the kindest and most welcoming servers we've encountered. Her service is consistently outstanding and adds so much to the overall experience.

Google
Under New Management. Seems like it only has been 4 days since they took over. As of today (Feb 24th, 2025) they are running a promotional Hot Pot pricing of $15.99. Quality of the meat were excellent and offers ton of choices for vegetables, seafood, noodles and not to mention the Sauce Bar. Inside looks newly renovated and great vibe and amazing service from the owner and staff. Must try!

Google
This was our first time trying this place, and unfortunately, it will likely be our last. The meat was still frozen when it was served to us, which isn’t what you’d expect or want when dining out for Shabu. While the sauce and veggie options were standard, the venue itself was clean and had a modern feel.

Google
Good food, clean location and excellent customer service. I found this place via google and the reviews were very accurate. The prices are very comparable to Los Angeles but the quality is work it. Great quality of meat cuts, great toping options with fruit options too. I would definitely visit this place again when visiting Vegas. Very friendly staff.

Google
My experience has consistently been a 10/10. No wonder it has become one of my favorite food places to visit. I’m not one who likes to leave comments like this on Google review, but I’m making an exception here, because of the amazing service. The attendants are very attentive, friendly et al. Specifically, I want to appreciate Sarah, you should ask for her when you get there. She’s the best! I’m leaving this review here, so more people can go over there and experience good food and customer service (which is rare these days).

Google
On vacation and decided to look for a hot pot place, came across U-Shabu. It had plenty of options for meat, vegetable's, seafood and had a good selection in the hot bar. Service was prompt and the restaurant was very clean. Price was incredible value at 25.99 in comparison to where I live where I can be upwards of 35-50 dollars.

Yelp
5 stars! My friend Sarah was visiting me from out of town and we came here on a whim. We just looked up the closest Shabu Shabu place to our location as we were driving back to the strip. We saw the high rating on Yelp and pulled into the parking lot. We were seated right away and everything was so fresh. I loved all the veggies and noodles avaialble at the food bar. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back soon!

Yelp
AYCE shabu shabu is excellent in LV. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. The vegetables are incredibly fresh, and the beef is wonderful. There is undoubtedly a selection to satisfy even picky eaters. The restaurant was quite clean, and the tables were spaced apart from one another. Though they are a touch pricy, you will undoubtedly enjoy this location because it is all worthwhile. Will undoubtedly return here.

Yelp
Our party of 6 came in on a Friday night for a birthday dinner around 6:30p. Despite not making a reservation, we were seated right away. The place was not overcrowded. We've been here multiple times on Friday nights. The excellent food quality and service have remained consistent. :)

Yelp
Went here for lunch with 2 of my friends and it was about $100 . The service was just bad, I'm not sure if we went on an off day or what but the server came by like twice and left a bunch of dirty dishes on our table the whole time we ate. The miso broth is okay, nothing special. The toppings are self serve buffet style which was interesting. The restaurant was not busy at all and the environment just felt cold and sterile. I don't know what happened here because the pictures looked like a completely different restaurant.

Yelp
Food is enjoyable, service is good. Ambiance is bright lights all white interior sunglasses worthy.

Yelp
We came in for my post birthday dinner and this place really exceeded my expectation. We've ordered spicy tonkotsu broth, miso, sukiyaki, and the house broth and they were all so delicious. My favorite was the spicy tonkotsu. The vegetables were fresh and a lot of selections, the meats were thinly sliced and absorbed the broth really well. Even the seafood were fresh as well! Don't eat the sushi though because they are packed with rice and it will fill you up lol. They have a sauce bar as well! The service was impeccable, we were seated right away and they kept checking on our table to make sure we were good. And the restaurant was neatly decorated. The ladies rest room was a little flooded though but I'm sure they will get that fixed. Other than that everything was delicious. They even have the french fries and other fried appetizers for us to start off with. However, they need more desert selections. I will definitely come back when they get their alcohol license and I recommend for you guys to try this place :)

Yelp
Great hotpot place. They've got sushi and hot appetizers buffet-style so you can just walk up and grab whatever you want however often you want it. The servers come by often so you can order as much meat as you want, and come by often to refill your broth. I've been here twice, and it's a huge space with usually only less than half of the tables filled! It's a great place and it has a lot of room to grow more popular.

Yelp
We got there at 9:15 and they said the restaurant is closed until gotta be kidding right the worker just lazy and according to Yelp they closed at 10

Yelp
Food quality has gone down. I unfortunately chose a corn that was spoiled and could only tell when the corn gave a sour odor. Appetizers were decent and the sushi was non existent and looked very mediocre. For the price, the food quality does not line up. Find another spot if possible.

Yelp
I couldn't decide between hot pot or Korean bbq. This place has both concepts! However, the grill portion only comes at a table seating 4 or more. Since it was just my husband and I, I had to request the table. I couldn't quite give it 5 stars bc they don't have a good selection of veggies and seafood. They don't have spam or enoki mushrooms or the fatter fish tofu. The other thing that sort of annoyed me is the person that brought out the meat couldn't tell the difference between lamb and beef. Since my husband hates lamb and I love lamb, this is important. Lol! The setver told my husband that the meat he brought out was lamb, but it actually was beef. So my husband didn't touch it for a while and waited patiently for his "beef". Other than this the place has some good quality meets ans the servers were generally nice. Although, they seem to be quite understaffed. My waitress was running around everywhere! I chose the spicy tonkatsu broth and miso. The tonkatsu was very flavorful and tasted good. The other broth was bland. It was nice to have a grill. The lamb was excellent grilled and the garlic sautéed there with the green onions made it much more tastier. You can also order appetizers. They gave many choices. The fried rice was pretty good. I would definitely come again. I hope they will have obtained their liquor license by then.

Yelp
I was super excited to try this place mainly because of the Shabu Shabu and grill combo! However, this place just continued to disappoint: - Every single piece of our meat order was 100% frozen. It was challenging to peel the meat off the dishes because they were stuck on the plates. After grilling them or dipping into our soup, the meat was just very tough. - For a table of 4, we had to share 1 pot! Granted, it was a duo pot which allows you to have 2 different soup bases. I would much rather have individual pots so everyone can adjust or cook meats to their liking. - Most of the buffet items where empty and not what you see in the photos here. Not sure if it was just a slow or bad day, but it was unfortunate we didn't get the full menu. The ice cream was not creamy and too sweet. - The service was just ok. It seems like they were still figuring out what to do. We ran into some confusion with the pots and switching grills. Our waitress just gave up on trying to explain and asked us to figure it out. We were the only ones there at that time so not like she was too busy to explain. What saved them from having 1 star, is that the restaurant was super clean. I definitely appreciate that! Overall, there are so many other ayce Shabu Shabu. I would rather go there than return here.

Yelp
I'm sorry, Yelpers - I do not agree with this overall rating. I came with a party of 7. When your party is 5 or more, you are automatically charged 18% gratuity so what that means is that they can completely ignore your group, give mediocre or no service and get paid. So what does U Shabu do? They do exactly that. We came after some of the party were seated. We were not asked if we wanted something to drink, we were not told about how the dining options work, and there was no server that even greeted us. I was so confused how it works until I started seeing that it was like a cafeteria buffet type of place. I was not impressed with the food either. Definitely not worth what we paid.
google avatar

Andrew T.

Yelp
We ended up at U Shabu because other places had an hour long wait and we were hangry! Glad we ended coming here because it is nice! Organized, efficient, and variety all in one. Did like the wide variety of food/sides available to grab. This group really thought about taking care of all those who got forced or hot pot wasn't there top option. They got chashu pork, shrimp tempura, sushi, Chinese entrees and more! Downside: Not all the sushi that was labeled was restocked throughout the night. This also was a few other food options as well. The projector has a light bulb that is blocking the view and once seen, can't really watch without noticing it haha.
google avatar

Francine L.

Yelp
U Shabu was our Christmas dinner selection. It is an all-you-can-eat shabu place that let us in right before they were closing on that night. It was jammed packed and even though it was busy the service was amazing! We shared two different soup bases and grab stuff to put inside the pot and they also serve hot items that are ready to go at the bar area. You can also put seafood items, vegetables and of course meat. The meat part is where you will order with the server and they will come to your table. Overall it was a fun experience and the manager was super nice and chill! I can't wait to come back and eat some more shabu.
google avatar

Sandra M.

Yelp
Oh it is not the same since Zimba is gone . Now no more included appetizers and the broth is blend . This went from being the best shabu in town to a ok one. They got rid of the best cut of meat New York steak last week . And some of the vegetables are gone too .
google avatar

Yelp
If you don't want to deal with the Shanghai plaza spring mountain traffic craziness I think this is a good option. It's about a mile away from the plaza so still close enough to go grab dessert ahaha! IF you can even for dessert after eating here. Aside from the broth, meats and drinks everything else is self serve buffet style. They have a TON of options to put in pot and also a big variety of food to try while you're pot is simmering/cooking. I'll try and list some highlights: enoki mushrooms, bok choy, eggs, sauses, spicy kimchi, ramen noodles, cooked sushi roll pieces, corn cob minis! Ah it's a lot anyways make sure you come very hungry to get your moneys worth. I got here right as it opened and it was nice to not deal with a lot of people.

Yelp
We frequent Shabuya and decided to try this place. Not a fan. Hot appetizers were not good. There were 2 pieces of katsu and when we asked for more they said they weren't making anymore for the rest of the night, we went at 5pm! Service - our waters were always empty. She put us in between two tables and we could barely get out of our seats because the other group was so close to us. We won't be returning. $200 for ehhhhh.
google avatar

Yelp
First time trying this place and it is now officially my new favorite shabu spot! It is incredibly clean, there's really no wait for a table, service is fast, and the options for the self serve bar is way more than I expected! The items on the menu offer a variety of meats, broths, and appetizers. I was very pleased with the quality of the food and meats. And to top it off, there's a self serve ice cream machine with different toppings such as caramel, chocolate, white chocolate syrups. I'm so happy I found this place!

Yelp
Everything was bad and bland when we went. We went there the first time it was okay but now it is really bad. All flavors were not there and foods not fresh. Foods seem like it has been sitting there for some time. Service was great and fast

Yelp
We came here when we got to another popular one ans said would be a 45min wait. It was super cold and no way anyone would wait that libg especially the kiddos. Pro: We walked straight in, so our minds wondered if its not a great place or lucky we beat the crowd. Great concept and loads of variety. Heres the nutshell what I mean - You can choose between shabu or grill. If your done with one and want to switch, they allow you. Awesome! - Aside from alot of shabu selection items (see pics), they also have a salad bar area (see pics) plus hot food area (again, more pics). Con: 20min in, it became almost a full house (so im guessing we lucked out coming before the crowd) and they became so behind. There were only 2 employees (korean guy and a pretty asian/caucasian mix girl - sorry never got their names who really deserves this praise!) running the whole floor which was very harsh to watch. They were working extremely hard yet remained super sweet doing the best they can to serve everyone. I saw a possibly mgr pulling them aside talking to them as to ask if they can work OT. I saw them nod and kept going. Talk about teamwork. Benefit of doubt, its a few days before Christmas and hoping its temporary short staff as this place has a great concept and service had they have enough staff. Will still come back to try again on off holidays to compare. Price is also a bit less than surrounding ones more popular.

Yelp
Awesome place to eat seafood, and grill meat. Can either have hot pot or grill meat or both. Fresh seafood, the clams has no sand and very clean. A lot of assorted types of seafood and tofu. The grilling portion is pretty good too they pour sauce to prevent the grill from burning and the meat portions are pretty good. Great service and has sushi as well. Overall you're gonna end up super full and satisfied. Make your own sauce is pretty awesome too.

Yelp
$28.99 FOR AYCE. We did hot pot with two flavors, House Special and Spicy Tonkotsu and mannnn.... the flavors were amazing. The meat you have to order from a server while all veggies, side dishes, noodles, seafood, and sauces are self-serve. I enjoy the self-serve so I can take as much as I want! I love the blue crab, I had about 4 of those. They also had a sushi bar plus some pre-made hot foods, but it was always almost empty. I didn't get to try any of it. They also offer KBBQ but if you sit at a table with one stove then you can only do one at a time. Closer to the end of our meal, the stove would not heat our broth, and by then, we were over it. They did seem short staff, when we were seated more than 5 tables needed cleaning and no one were seated there.

Yelp
Came here the other night and had such a great experience. Right when we entered we were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant is so clean inside which is a plus. I saw employees changing out the stations and the vegetables were clean, we were very saitsfied. The service was excellent and the food came out quickly, they also were quick at cleaning our table and giving us more water. The seafood here is also better quality than other AYCE hot pots I have been to. Overall, I highly recommend this place and I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Becoming a top contender for one of my fav hot pot places simply from the option choices! Grill/hot pot options, food options, & mix in options. Parking: it's in a very crowded parking lot with lots of food options. Parking is hit or miss depending on the time of day. Luckily many people are in and out, and we've found some within a minute of getting there or 2 minutes of circling the lot. Ambience inside: the place seems huge! Standard tables & chairs, clean. Nothing stands out in terms of decor, but you know the area is clean (and people are constantly cleaning tables and buffet areas). Food: I definitely enjoyed the beef quality for the meat selections that you order via your server! The grill/hotpot option is also something I admire! (They have the regular one pot, one pot split in two, AND a new grill with soup circling around it-which is my fav because I do enjoy the taste of the grilled meat!) they have a large selection of veggies, fish balls, noodles, seafood, etc. laid out buffet style. Really enjoyed seeing the other foods (like hot foods area, desserts, fruit, salads, etc.) Great variety! *keep in mind, it's not like the other hot pot spot that you order sushi from. It's hot pot options with sides that you take, not order! Service: our server was very helpful as it was our first time. She explained things easily & our finished plates were taken away quickly. Overall good service. TLDR: The grill/hot pot rig they have is the coolest way to enjoy grilled meats and hot pot. They have a variety of food to enjoy, grill, and cook, AND aside from the meat, it's all laid out for you to choose. The vast amount of selection and areas keeps you coming back for more! Will definitely be back :)

Yelp
Decent quality and cleanliness. Meats are ordered while the rest is self service buffet. Some sushi rolls and cooked items on the buffet line. Seafood, veggies, fish balls, noodles, etc. veggies looked fresh and clean. Service was good. Nice and open inside. Nothing to rave about but not a bad shabu shabu place.

Yelp
A happy 4 stars for U Shabu. Lunch is the best value for U Shabu. Tried going to Shabuya for dinner, but they were a disorganized, understaffed mess. I think Shabuya has better meat quality and slightly better broths, but U Shabu had a clean, fully stocked bar and still ran smoothly on a limited staff size. A great backup for when you just don't want to wait. Two enjoyable, efficient visits. You don't get your own pot individual pot of soup, so dive in with close friends.
google avatar

Matthew N.

Yelp
This Shabu hot pot is super legit! I would say this would be on my top list for a AYCE hot spot. Not only they have hotpot, but they even give you an option of grilling as well. I like how open and big this restaurant is. It's clean, organize and bright. There are plenty of tables and seats and the buffet bar has tons of options. They have a hot food section, veggies, seafood and sauce station. The broth options are delicious as well and the quality is good. Service is great and staff members are easy to get a hold of during your dining experience. I highly recommend this spot.

Yelp
First if all, I would give them 4.5 stars if I could and wish I could have given them 5. It was our first time to this restaurant. It was previously called Broth and we loved it there. They changed owners and the name changed as well as the food concept. Instead of just hot pot, this new spot had hot pot and sukiyaki options. AMBIANCE The restaurant is very nice and modern. It is big and has many tables. The only thing we didn't like about it was that there were only 2 burners for a table of 6 adults so we had to ask others on our table to cook for us or to place meats and veggies into the hot pot for us. We wished we had at least 1 burner per two people to make it easier. If there were 4 people on the table, it would have been perfect but for 6 it was a challenge, but we made it work. FOOD HOT FOOD STATION This area consisted of japchae, a variety of fried foods such as fried chicken, fried calamari, mini corn dogs, fried tofu and many more. I didn't eat anything from this station but my family like it. It was a good station to have and a great addition. HOT POT We decided to go with the miso broth and the spicy tonkatsu broth since we could choose 2 different ones. Both were really good. I especially liked the spicy tonkatsu. SUKIYAKI They start off with garlic and green onions and some sukiyaki sauce which is placed on the outter ring of the got plate. When the meats come, you cook them on the hot plate and dip them onto the sauce for flavor. It was so so delicious! SAUCE BAR They have a sauce bar with all of the different sauces. They had some green onions, jalapeños, and a few other additions as well. Great variety for everyone's likings. BUFFET BAR Love that they have lots of veggies and seafood too chose from. They also have some ready made salads and a sushi area with about 8 different already made rolls. My family loved the sushi. The variety is good and the bar is very big. You walk around the entire bar for your options. All of the meats we ordered came to our table quickly. They were sliced perfectly thin and soft after cooking. We especially enjoyed the pork belly, ribeye, and new york. SERVICE The service was BOMB! Our server was on it and very friendly. He came to check on us often and made sure we had enough meat and drinks. Overall, loved this place and would definitely recommend it and return. The concept of having both hot pot and sukiyaki is pretty awesome. If I could give them 4.5 stars I would. The only thing we didnt like was the lack of burners on the tables. They should offer side burners for parties of 6 on a table. Everything else was AMAZING!

Yelp
First time for lunch or more like brunch my husband and I found our new fav Vegas shabu spot. U Shabu is clean and provides so many options that we just couldn't help ourselves but try every single side dishes they provide. Definitely a kid friendly restaurant. So many already prepared hot foods for your little ones. Got so excited that I forgot to take pictures :/ Next time we're coming back! And will make sure to take some pics!

Yelp
Food 10/10 buffet style. Lots of sides, one of my favorite Shabu restaurants Always good service. The place is not too noisy or quiet. It can get busy and parking is hard to find on the weekends you have to park on the side of the road
google avatar

Nancy Z.

Yelp
I came here for a team bonding dinner for work. U Shabu met expectations and delivered delicious cuts of meat and other hotpot essentials (fish balls, veggies, seafood, etc). The service was on point, hands off and ready to take plates when we needed more space to stuff out faces. Fun fact, if you heat up baby octopus, they shrivel up and move around. The ambiance was busy and the food was as good as you'd expect from a hot pot place. Not sure if I would come back unless someone initiated. 4/5.

Yelp
Wow I don't write reviews often but this place is so great!!! Truly a hidden gem of Vegas. Amazing meats, unlimited, for great prices. Also includes unlimited seafood, veggies, hot bar, sushi. Seriously you can't go wrong with this place. Service is great and the atmosphere is welcoming! More people need to know about this place!!!! Don't sleep on U Shabu!
google avatar

Celina G.

Yelp
U shabu is my second choice for hotpot. Wait times aren't usually too long compared to other hotpot places. I like that they have a buffet style of appetizers and sushi. Appetizers include gyoza, tofu tonkatsu, seaweed salad, etc... In addition, I like that they have two options for meat to be cooked, hotpot or grill. You can get both too! Hotpot: We order sukiyaki for the broth. Their meats are thinly sliced and they taste good. The broth isn't too sweet, I like that the broth pairs well with the meat instead of the broth overpowering the flavor. Grill: The grill was super cool and no other hotpot places have it. It's like a kbbq grill and they put the sukiyaki on the side and their own mix of garlic, green onions and ponzu. It's used a sauce to add flavor to the meat. They use the same meat as the hotpot. It tasted so good! I'd recommend this grill style over the hotpot. The service is amazing. We went on Xmas day and you can tell the staff looks after the venue they work out. We did find a piece of plastic in the broth/near, The server asked immediately if we would like to speak to a manager. We didn't make a big deal about it. However, we can tell the staff really cared! The parking situation could be better. It does get packed in this plaza. I will be coming back here and continue to be a customer.

Yelp
Came here on Christmas Day 2022 around 6 pm. It was a newer restaurant in town so we were hoping for a short wait. The parking lot serves many other restaurants so it was very difficult to find space, there is nearby parking on the street and back into the neighborhoods but thankfully we got a spot in the lot. The wait ended up being around 5ish minutes so it wasn't long at all! The price per person was $28.99 for dinner. Our party of 3 was sat in the corner at a 4 person table, which comes with 1 hot pot that fits 2 broths but it seemed like the bigger tables for bigger parties gave you the option to have a grill as well. The inside seemed modern and gave me Ikea vibes. We decided on the house soup and the spicy tonkatsu. Both had excellent flavor, the house soup was a little weak and the tonkatsu was pretty spicy so I mixed them both in my bowl so I could sip on some soup. For most of the night we mostly ordered the dinner only meats. They came out quickly and we realized they were also frozen. Once boiled though, the meat was still a little tender. There was also a self-serve bar that had all kinds of things like fish balls, shrimp, mussels, clams, vegetables, but I mostly got kabocha squash, tofu, seafood mushrooms, and noodles so I could save room for meat. They also had a hot foods area that had some appetizers like spring rolls. The sauce bar was well stocked. I liked the Japanese goma sauce (sesame based sauce) but there was also teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, chili sauce, ketchup, etc. Unfortunately the ice cream machine was out of order. Throughout the meal, it was hard to keep both sides of our pot boiling evenly so we had to scooch it around, which also meant uneven levels of broth that we had to ask for refills multiple times. Not a big deal it's just not my favorite stove setup (flat induction stove style). Overall a delicious and filling meal. It was good for what we needed and we were satisfied. The service was timely and friendly. I would come back if other hot pot places in the area are packed with long waits since this place seems newer and not as well known yet.

I had a soup craving so called a bunch of places to check there wait times. Majority of places had over an hour wait during prime dinner time on a Saturday evening. When I called U Shabu they said there was no wait so I wanted to try it. My party was immediately seated upon arrival which was around 6:30pm. Since we have never been there before the server gave us a rundown of the menu options. I was surprised to learn it was shabu + yakiniku. I was impressed by the extensive buffet which included various vegetables, seafood, hot food bar, and soft serve machine. The server frequently checked on our table plus refilled our broth and drinks. Overall a great dining experience that will make me a returning customer and recommend them to friends.

Yelp
Honesty didn't expected so much but boy was I wrong ! Food service was really great ! Meat quality was right on points, lots of different choices of vegetables and varieties of fresh sea foods selections, noodle's and assorts of different kinds of fish cakes. Can't forget about many delicious dipping sauces, appetizers and dessert!! Very friendly and clean environment. But most important thing was the price. I would recommend 100%~!!

Yelp
My new favorite hot pot spot!! We stumbled into this place while trying to find somewhere to eat in Chinatown on New Year's Eve. The place wasn't too packed thankfully and sat us right away. Our server was really great and gave us recommendations for the meats to try and which soup bases he liked. Aside from ordering the drinks, soup bases, and meats with the server, the rest is self serve via the buffet bars. Great selection of seafood, noodles, veggies, sushi, and other hot dishes. I got so full I didn't even make it to the dessert bar. I am absolutely coming back and bringing my family here to try next time! Parking can get very busy in this plaza though so keep that in mind but don't let it stop you.

Yelp
TLDR: Really busy. I would stick with Shabu Shabu. The sides are not bad at all. Would recommend it on a weekday, but weekends can be difficult. U Shabu provides the option of KBBQ or Shabu Shabu or both (if the table permits). You can also start with one and change to the other. Although I usually would prefer KBBQ personally, the KBBQ pan is too small to really cook a significant amount of meat. Given that the pan was too small to cool the meat, I had to change to the Shabu Shabu option after 20 minutes. Meats: I love the lamb. I am already a fan of the lamb, but this place, in particular, had really fresh tasty lamb slices. I would absolutely recommend trying the lamb at least once. Otherwise, all the other meats were basically the same as 99% of the other KBBQ places. Sides: Great selection. A small sushi bar stood out to me. Not terrible, but not bad for a Shabu Shabu restaurant. Also, must get the bok choy. Otherwise, plenty of variety for anyone's personalized taste. Parking: Absolute nightmare. For Friday night dinner, don't even bother trying inside the plaza. Everyone and their mother was there. I had to park in the residential area just to get a spot and walk about 7 minutes away. Not the end of the world, but something to set expectations for. Staff: Short-staffed. I wish they were more attentive, but nothing they can do given not having enough people for a Friday night rush. Wait time: Friday Night at around 45 minutes. Pricing: For about $35 per person for dinner... It's fine, I guess. Overall, I'll go once in a while or if there is a celebration, but I will not be a regular here.

Yelp
U Shabu has both Korean BBQ AND Korean hot pot! They'll ask if you want one or both. It's the same price so we got both. You start off with the BBQ. The heating element is domed shape with a depression around the perimeter for their sauce. There are four or five meat selection (beef and pork), where it's placed on the domed part of the plate. The meats are sliced very thin so it cooks rather quickly. Of course you can cook any of the vegetable and tofu selections from their raw bar. Along with the raw bar they have a hot bar with cooked food (gyoza, japchae noodles, vegetables, and other selections). Oh, there's also a sushi bar with several rolls ( California roll, spicy tuna, and a couple others). There's also a raw seafood bar, but I digress. Once you've had you fill of the BBQ, they switch the plate with a split pot for hot pot. There are four broth selections. We got the house broth and mushroom broth. Honestly, once you start dropping the food into the broth, the broths end up getting mixed. Everything seems fresh with lots of variety. They have a limited dessert bar, but it's enough to cleanse the palate from the BBQ and hot pot. I'm getting hungry writing this review.

Yelp
A solid 3.5/5. Let's start with the good stuff. They have an array of seafood, veggies, meats, and a hot bar. Try not to fill up on the extras so you can save yourself for the delicious soups. The spicy tonkatsu and sukiyaki broths were my faves. The spicy tonkatsu was flavorful with the right amount of kick. The hot bar had plenty of tasty options: fried fish filet, egg rolls, japchae, and sweet and sour chicken to name a few. They have quality meat, a selection of sauces, and plenty of veggies to feed my bokchoy heart. The customer service was friendly, but on the slower side. In their defense, it was pretty busy on Christmas day and it seemed like they weren't properly staffed for it. Cons: I wouldn't suggest this place for parties greater than 6. They don't offer portable grills so you'll find yourself reaching for soup or needing to be served if you're not sitting in front of the grills. We had a party of 9, and 3 people could easily reach for 1 of 4 broths. The pots are smaller and more shallow than what I'm used to and they overflow once you start putting your veggies and meats/seafood in. We had a vegan in our party and 1 of the non-vegan broths started to pour into hers. They don't seem to have solid dessert options. Their ice cream machine was out of order this day.

Yelp
After an extensive day of hiking, my girlfriend and Dad came on Christmas evening for dinner around 7pm. Given the context and last minute planning we were delighted to find an AYCE. We only waited for about 10 minutes for a table and were quickly serviced for our drinks and 1st order of meats. The restaurant holds a modern look, very sleek and sizable. They were clearly understaffed on Christmas as many tables were unbussed for an extensive amount of time but the staff were visibly hustling and seemed unfazed and friendly. I liked that there was so much selection available at their serving stations. The veggies, seafood, noodles and sauces remained stocked throughout the night which was a nice plus. Though they did not offer Kobe beef or Wagyu i think we still got a nice deal ($28.99 per person). The staff came by frequently to check on us and the meats came out in a jiffy. The quality of the meat seemed pretty good, but also recently frozen. We had ordered the spicy tonkatsu broth and house special. The house special was very bland, and their spicy tonkatsu was fiery!! Mixing them together was a good blend though. Overall we had a very nice dinner experience given that it was a last minute dinner plan. The restaurant had everything we needed but it would have been nice to enjoy some higher quality meats. The staff was nice, and the restaurant has good potential.

Yelp
First time coming here we came in at a good time because it was busy but not too busy. We got seated pretty quickly. The staff was very friendly. Simba and Cory helped us out during our time here. They checked up on us plenty of times and was very helpful in every way. They have a short and simple menu. You have a couple broths to pick from. We got the Miso and the Spicy Tonkotsu. I would recommend these two because they have a lot of flavor. For your soups there's nothing in it but they have a bar with a bunch of stuff so you can add onions, green onions, cilantro, and chili flakes to your soup to spice it up your own way. For the meat, I would try them all. It's awesome because it's all you can eat. They have a huge selection of sides for your soup. They have seafood, fish balls, veggies, pickled side dishes, salads, hot bar, noodles, sushi and more. There's also a sauce bar. Love a good sauce bar! They also offer the grill for the meats after your hotpot. This grill is a little different. Around the grill they put garlic, green onions and ponzu. You grill the same meat you use for hotpot. After, you dip the meat in the ponzu mixture. This was my first time trying this and it was delicious! Overall this was really good! Simba and Cory made our experience even better.

Yelp
I've had my eye on this place ever since I've scrolled through instagram and also looking at their Yelp page. We came on a Thursday at 4pm which is when they open and this place was empty which was perfect for me take lots of pictures and to really scope out the place since it was new for me. There was really so much to see, the buffet of ingredients was huge, so many choices. So this place was unique because you can have the hot pot option and then ask for the grill option. So you can just use hot pot only if you want or just the grill. Or you can go back and forth between the 2. The grill was different because they had broth on the side of it. It was definitely different from the usual grill we're used to at KBBQ places. The waiters were also super attentive, especially since it wasn't crowded at all. They helped me put together a dipping sauce for the meat which consists of garlic, green onions, ponzu and chili oil. Also the other waiter helped us cook on the grill, he also added that same dipping sauce on the broth and can use it to dip the meat in. There were also a hot food station where there was chicken nuggets, tofu, tempura, etc. I wasn't too thrilled about the taste of it, but it was cool to have that option. There was also a soft serve at then end which only had vanilla and they had cute little plastic containers to put it in and some syrups such as white chocolate, brown sugar, chocolate and caramel. The server Simba was so nice and very helpful, he wasn't too overbearing. The other waiters were so nice and very approachable, it really felt like they cared. I didn't care too much for the side dishes, what really stood out to me were the meats and the ingredients you can add to the hot pot. As for the grill, I'd rather stick to the regular KBBQ places cuz I like my meat a little crispy and this grill won't get it crispy.

Yelp
Nice restaurant with large variety of vegetables, noodles and sides. Hot food section nothing too special not very hot. You can have hot pot or grill or both We did grill first with meat and seafoods (muscles, shrimp, squid, baby octopus, and fish) Make sauces to dip meats. I would recommend lunch price the dinner is $4 more for a little bit more premium meats like ribeye New York and lamb not worth it I couldn't tell what was what. The spicy tonkotsu soup was very good lots of flavor and and spicy. Their house soup very bland. The sides kimchi very good the salads were too sweet. The sukiyaki was also very sweet. Sushi selection very small. Service was good and fast to bring out more meat. Over not bad "Nabe" still better.

Yelp
Good Shabu shabu!!! Came here because TikTok recommend it and the meat was 10/10. Very fresh and good lean cuts. There's so many side dish options and sauces to choose from. I really liked the rib eye meat. Good fast service and when your soup gets low they refill you right up. Soup taste was 12/10 very flavorful. One of the best I've had in Vegas.

Yelp
Went to U Shabu for my oldest daughter's birthday! If you're coming here on a weekend, beware of the parking! So many good eateries in this plaza, the parking spaces are packed! Took us near 10 minutes to look for an open spot! We decided to go to U Shabu just to shake up our usual hotpot places that we tend to visit. A welcome choice! For a party of 5 the wait was minimal - we were seated in less than 15 minutes upon arrival. It was nice, our table was ready for two hotpot setups! We got one for hotpot, and the other for their hotpot/grill combo. Added House Special and Miso broths to our hotpots and we were off to the races! U Shabu has more veggie/side choices than other places in town to add to their hotpots. Lots of choices, I can't even remember them all! I often stick with lots of baby bok choy, various mushrooms, and lots of garlic & onion! Need to have room in the hotpot for all that meat! And we did indeed sample all of them at some point during dinner: -Pork Shoulder -Pork Belly -Chuck Tender -Beef Eye Round -Angus Beef Brisket -Angus Beef Belly -Beef Round Tip -Beef Top Sirloin -U Shabu Special New York (dinner only) -U Shabu Special Rib Eye (dinner only) -Lamb Shoulder (dinner only) My faves were the Angus beef and the special New York and Rib Eye! Pretty tasty in the broth! But also just as tasty on the grill/hotpot combo! Just FYI though - the meats all come to the table semi-frozen, not freshly cut. Some may have an issue with this. We didn't LOL! The broths were just OK, they both were a bit on the bland side. But no worries, at U Shabu's sauce bar on the buffet line - you can concoct a number of sauce combos to suit your taste! My daughter made a sauce for me with soy sauce, ponzu, tons of chopped garlic, green onions & cilantro! Went with all my meats perfectly! Talking about buffet line, there's also a section at U Shabu to get AYCE hot food items! Looks like the choices may vary per day, but that night we tried: -Corn Cheese -Shrimp & Veggie Tempura -Fried Gyoza -Fried Chicken These items were pretty good, but be sure to get them fresh from the kitchen! Some of it sat for a bit and was on the soggy side. Can't leave U Shabu without some soft serve ice cream! With their brown sugar syrup!! Reminded me too much of a boba drink! Sweet way to end our meal! We'd visit U Shabu again because overall it's such a great deal! AYCE hotpot for $26.99 a person for dinner! Very competitive! Hopefully the next time we visit, on the hot foods buffet line there will be Takoyaki like I've seen in other Yelp reviews!!

Yelp
First time at this place couple days ago and went back again tonight. lol Honestly, I love hot pot, specially during the winter time. I also loving hot pot at home, but now a day everything is so expensive, is actually cheaper to eat out. I think is $29.95+ tax per person? Or around that. What I like about this place, is not over crowded, I guess because is further away from the strip? Maybe? Staffs are very friendly, you order two different broths, and the meat they will bring to you, vegetables, seafood, fishballs (haha.. balls) shut up, guys are stupid! Anyway....different type of balls (haha..balls) all you can eat! Also some fried food, but I'm not there for the fried food. Oh..oh...I almost forgot, they also offer Korean BBQ, so you can actually get the hot pot and the grill, together!! I don't know if the price any different, both times I went I only get the hot pot, maybe next time I order both, or maybe just grill, cuz is way....too much food, I mean gooooood food If they running the way they are now, I will continue support them. Please don't be like the one down the street, Shabuya, that one is so over rated Anyway....good price, great place, awesome staffs

Yelp
Let's just say amazing experience for the first time coming here for hot pot in Las Vegas it was my wife's first time trying it and she loved it
