The Best Restaurants In Bay Ridge - New York - The Infatuation

"Every Georgian restaurant in New York has its two show pieces: the famous cheese boat, and their big, brothy khinkali. Ubani has great versions of both, but don’t sleep on the rest of the menu. They've got good cocktail game too, and an enclosed backyard, with picnic tables and blue couches. The Georgian salad and its creamy walnut dressing is our favorite dish here, and the cauliflower in walnut sauce and veal stew are tied for second. Choose Ubani over Cheese & Bread when you need some ambience for date night." - neha talreja, willa moore, carina finn koeppicus

Ubani is an NYC gem. Excellent, inviting ambiance. The staff here are professional, excellent, top-notch. (Georgian) wine, beer and global cocktails entirely on point. The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. On top of all this, they perfectly weave in a bit of education about their food and culture, one which is beautiful and unique. Highly, highly recommend dining here, and more than just once at that. A++++, 10/10.

There seems to be a new Georgian restaurant every month these days. Ubani is a fine dining establishment with excellent service and great ambiance. The wine list is extensive and varied, tried a terragon lemondade unique taste. A variety of cheesy Khachapuris on the menu to share, the sides are more typical american, Kharcho soup hit the spot in this cold weather. Waitress pushed the appetizer platter, but probably would have been too much for our table of 5 as many of the ladies needed doggie bags for their entrees. The roasted chicken with pomegranate instead of blackberry sauce was delcicious, crispy skin, moist and sweet. Honey cake is not too sweet, nice and layered without needing to be soaked in syrup.

Where to begin, let’s just say when you go to Albani it’s more than just any other restaurant. It’s almost like becoming part of their family. The OWNER, Manager and every person that works there makes you feel right at home. The food is delicious, the service is exceptional. The experience is unlike any other. And let’s face it, there’s not many Georgian options in NYC. This is one of the best! And let’s not forget there’s always live music on Saturday nights to make this a special evening for friends, family, or a special date. Highly recommended.

Three of us went for dinner and ended up eating in the garden patio area in the back. It was very peaceful and quiet. Lots of space between the tables. The waiter was exceptionally helpful in our food selection. All the dishes were very tasty and we experienced some new flavors. When we walked thru the restaurant on our way out, we were surprised that it was full of happy sounding customers. Moderate noise level and a couple of singers up front playing at a moderate noise level. Next time we plan to sit inside. We were back again a few weeks ago to treat our niece visiting from California. Another friend joined us. We ordered several appetizers and several entries , all to share. Adding a couple of glasses of Georgian wine and we were very happy. A very nice dining experience. Staff are very nice.

Our experience with Mariam was absolutely wonderful! She greeted us so warmly and made us feel right at home. Her service was perfect — friendly, professional, and full of care. You could feel her positive attitude in every little detail. The food was fantastic! Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and the presentation was beautiful. The whole place had such a nice, cozy atmosphere, and Mariam’s kindness made it even better. We truly appreciated her attention and the way she made the evening so special for us. Thank you, Mariam, for your kindness and for making our dinner unforgettable!

Another great night dining at Ubani - this time in midtown. Our first experience was at their cozy West Village outpost. Shoutout to Nutsa for the hospitality, recommendations and service. This time we ended up getting the eggplant roles (vegan), the mushroom soup (vegan), the adjaruli khachapuri (veg), and the lamb khinkali. The meals came out on time and the spacing between them was ideal. The restaurant is great for large groups or smaller dinner dates. They have vegan, veg, and meat options for patrons. Looking forward to trying out their other 2 locations!

Incredible Georgian restaurant in the heart of NYC. The staff was friendly and our waitress walked us through the menu once we told her this was our first time. All the dishes were so flavorful. You can tell the chefs take pride in what they are making.

Great new spot in Midtown East. This Georgian restaurant just recently opened and I was curious what a typical Georgian foods were like. It helped that they had board of food pictures by the entrance. It gives you glimpse of their local foods. Staff were attentive. Our server was helpful. She gave us idea of what to expect on the menu. Khachapuri is a must. A great to start as appetizer. Very cheesy bread fresh from the oven. Warm dough and gooey cheese. Beef khinkali are like Asian soup dumplings. But Georgian’s have thicker wrapper and very savory meat filling. I almost got a second serving. It comes in 4 pieces and bigger than Asian soup dumplings. Chashushuli is delicious beef stew on bed of mashed potatoes. Kupati Georgian sausages (beef and pork) are 2 pieces thick sausages with very delicious cheesy mashed potato. I’m glad I got this. This is the star of my night! Overall, great foods, experience, and restaurant!
