Ubani Midtown

Where to begin, let’s just say when you go to Albani it’s more than just any other restaurant. It’s almost like becoming part of their family. The OWNER, Manager and every person that works there makes you feel right at home. The food is delicious, the service is exceptional. The experience is unlike any other. And let’s face it, there’s not many Georgian options in NYC. This is one of the best! And let’s not forget there’s always live music on Saturday nights to make this a special evening for friends, family, or a special date. Highly recommended.

Our experience with Mariam was absolutely wonderful! She greeted us so warmly and made us feel right at home. Her service was perfect — friendly, professional, and full of care. You could feel her positive attitude in every little detail. The food was fantastic! Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and the presentation was beautiful. The whole place had such a nice, cozy atmosphere, and Mariam’s kindness made it even better. We truly appreciated her attention and the way she made the evening so special for us. Thank you, Mariam, for your kindness and for making our dinner unforgettable!

Another great night dining at Ubani - this time in midtown. Our first experience was at their cozy West Village outpost. Shoutout to Nutsa for the hospitality, recommendations and service. This time we ended up getting the eggplant roles (vegan), the mushroom soup (vegan), the adjaruli khachapuri (veg), and the lamb khinkali. The meals came out on time and the spacing between them was ideal. The restaurant is great for large groups or smaller dinner dates. They have vegan, veg, and meat options for patrons. Looking forward to trying out their other 2 locations!

Overall, everything is good at this Georgian restaurant. The design and atmosphere are awesome — very stylish, cozy, and clean. The location is also great. However, there are a few downsides. When you arrive, there’s no host or hostess to seat you, so you end up waiting awkwardly by the door until someone notices. Sometimes the barista even shouts from the bar asking what you need, which feels a bit unprofessional. The waitresses are also a little rude and don’t check back after serving the food — no one asks if you’d like anything else or how everything is. That said, the food is delicious, and overall the place has a nice vibe. With a bit more attention to service, this restaurant could easily be perfect.

What a great experience at Ubani as always. I ate here on November 1, 2025. This is my first visit at this location. I usually go to west village location but decided to visit this one since I was in midtown. I ordered my favorite dishes Adjaruli khachapuri and assorted pickles. My server was Nutsa. She was a wonderful server, even offered to give me suggestions for future visits based on what Georgian food I liked and encouraged me to stay for the live music which was very nice. I appreciate her kindness and service for the evening. Can’t wait to be back!

Was not expecting this place to be as good as it is. The food is fantastic - should’ve known when we walked in and the staff and most of the diners were Georgian. Ordered the khabidzgina to start and the kupati and the chanakhi for mains - flavor was excellent across all. Literally the only negative was the unnecessary live music - I’m all for live music but it was just way too loud here. I’ve been thinking about where to do a group birthday dinner and would 100% choose this place if it weren’t for the music. Definitely coming back on my own though.

I've never been to Georgia before, but I wanted to try a completely different kind of food than what I have access to in Mexico City. It was the best option I could have. The food is spectacular, the atmosphere captivates you, and the attentiveness of the entire staff invites you to visit Georgia. If you don't know what to order, follow the more traditional recommendations so you can appreciate the special flavor. Measure your portions so you have the opportunity to try some of their more traditional desserts—they're a true delight. And if you're a wine lover and enjoy new options, the Georgian wine has been a true revelation. I will return to this restaurant, but most importantly, I will visit Georgia very soon.

Great new spot in Midtown East. This Georgian restaurant just recently opened and I was curious what a typical Georgian foods were like. It helped that they had board of food pictures by the entrance. It gives you glimpse of their local foods. Staff were attentive. Our server was helpful. She gave us idea of what to expect on the menu. Khachapuri is a must. A great to start as appetizer. Very cheesy bread fresh from the oven. Warm dough and gooey cheese. Beef khinkali are like Asian soup dumplings. But Georgian’s have thicker wrapper and very savory meat filling. I almost got a second serving. It comes in 4 pieces and bigger than Asian soup dumplings. Chashushuli is delicious beef stew on bed of mashed potatoes. Kupati Georgian sausages (beef and pork) are 2 pieces thick sausages with very delicious cheesy mashed potato. I’m glad I got this. This is the star of my night! Overall, great foods, experience, and restaurant!
