The Best Restaurants In Bay Ridge - New York - The Infatuation

"Every Georgian restaurant in New York has its two show pieces: the famous cheese boat, and their big, brothy khinkali. Ubani has great versions of both, but don’t sleep on the rest of the menu. They've got good cocktail game too, and an enclosed backyard, with picnic tables and blue couches. The Georgian salad and its creamy walnut dressing is our favorite dish here, and the cauliflower in walnut sauce and veal stew are tied for second. Choose Ubani over Cheese & Bread when you need some ambience for date night." - neha talreja, willa moore, carina finn koeppicus

I've never been to Georgia before, but I wanted to try a completely different kind of food than what I have access to in Mexico City. It was the best option I could have. The food is spectacular, the atmosphere captivates you, and the attentiveness of the entire staff invites you to visit Georgia. If you don't know what to order, follow the more traditional recommendations so you can appreciate the special flavor. Measure your portions so you have the opportunity to try some of their more traditional desserts—they're a true delight. And if you're a wine lover and enjoy new options, the Georgian wine has been a true revelation. I will return to this restaurant, but most importantly, I will visit Georgia very soon.

What a gem! Had no clue about Georgian food or wine. Now I do. White table cloth elegant atmosphere, yet not stuffy. Their wine comes from Georgia, aged in clay vats. Excellent. I strongly recommend Ubani. Pro tip: get the amber wine.

Great atmosphere! The servers were wonderful—humble and polite. We did not like the starter that comes with four spreads (it’s in the picture, but I can’t remember the name). Cocktails were great—we tried the Mango and Lychee ones. The salad was delicious too; it had a unique flavor and was really tasty.

Just amazing. The best Georgian place I've ever visited. Khachapuri was tasty with well baked dough. Good flavored cheese. Juicy khinkali. Polite stuff and not noisy atmosphere with some relaxing music. I highly recommend visiting.

I had my birthday dinner at Ubani, and it was a great choice! Always the best is Georgian salad. Other than that, I tried everything for the first time. The cheese bread was absolutely delicious! I would recommend for a special dinner.

A true hidden gem in the heart of Manhattan 💎 The food is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere adorned with Georgian writings and stunning artwork is simply superb. The blend of modern and traditional elements creates a uniquely beautiful space, perfect for dinner, lunch, or just chilling at the bar. Simply amazing 🫶🩵

Brought my girlfriend here for a birthday dinner and the staff here were all so friendly and wonderful. They added a candle to our dessert and the live music singer was very talented too. The food here was outstanding and I loved everything I ordered. Highly recommend! Will definitely come back again! (Also, don’t be shy about questions, the staff here will take the time to teach you about the food and also suggested traditional way to eat it.)

Absolutely phenomenal experience! This Georgian restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is incredibly flavorful — every dish tastes homemade and authentic. The pkhali was fresh and beautifully seasoned, the ajapsandali was bursting with rich, roasted vegetable flavor, and the chikhirtma soup was deeply comforting and full of character. The service was warm and welcoming, just like true Georgian hospitality. You can feel the love and tradition in every bite. Highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to experience real Georgian cuisine. Can’t wait to come back!
