I am extremely disappointed with how Uber has handled a serious data protection issue. My personal residential address was publicly attached to my company listing on the Uber Eats platform without my authorization. This is a significant privacy and safety concern. After formally raising the issue and clearly explaining the risks involved, I received a response redirecting me to file a copyright or trademark complaint - which is completely unrelated to the problem. Since then, my follow-up emails have gone unanswered. Publishing someone’s private home address without consent is not a minor clerical error - it is a data protection failure. The lack of urgency, accountability, and direct resolution from Uber’s support team is alarming. I expected immediate corrective action and transparent communication. Instead, I have been left chasing responses while my personal information remains exposed. Businesses should be able to trust that their personal data will be handled responsibly. Based on my experience, that trust has not been earned. I hope this review prompts the appropriate team to take this issue seriously and resolve it without further delay. This experience has significantly damaged my trust in Uber’s ability to handle sensitive information responsibly. If this issue is not resolved within 7 days, I will be escalating this matter to the relevant data protection authority.

The food is ready, you eventually get a driver who is MILES from the restaurant, 15 minutes later they reach the restaurant, only to DROP THE JOB, no explanation. 15 minutes of "searching" I get a new driver. Another 15mins for driver 2 to get to the restaurant. My food has been sitting on a counter for a good 45 minutes getting ice cold just because uber allows drivers to bail on jobs FIFTEEN MINUTES after they accept it. I would normally call this a one-off and ignore it, but this is the 5th time this has happened now, and it's completely uber's fault.

I have used Uber for years, but this experience completely changed my view. During a ride, my passenger became sick. Immediately after this, the driver told us that we had to pay €300 directly to him for cleaning, outside of the Uber app. This was not presented as a choice and made us feel pressured and unsafe. After discussing this, the driver proposed an alternative: we would drive to a car wash and clean the car immediately. I personally cleaned the vehicle, paid extra for the longer route, and also paid the driver €40 directly at his request. At the end of the stop, the driver confirmed the car was clean and we completed the trip. Despite this, Uber later charged an additional €200 cleaning fee, based on photos taken before the car was cleaned. Uber acknowledged that off‑platform payments should not happen, but still refused to properly review the situation. All follow‑up requests are now automatically closed. The outcome is that the driver benefited multiple times (cash payment, higher fare, and full cleaning fee), while we as passengers were left feeling pressured and completely unheard. This experience shows how little protection riders have when something goes wrong. I expected a fair review of the facts, but instead received template replies and closed tickets. Very disappointing customer support.

On 2 occasions now when travelling for work I took precautions to ensure drivers could help me with luggage, which I couldn’t lift myself due to an injury. Twice now my expensive luggage has been damaged and Uber has no customer service as no one is accepting any responsibility for these actions, after having spoken to them, left feedback etc. It’s having to come out of my pocket to purchase new luggage. Terrible service will not be using again.

I’m genuinely disappointed by how poorly Uber Eats has handled my experience as an Uber One member. I have an active annual membership that renews in June 2026 for £49.99, yet the promised benefits don’t seem to work at all. I was still charged delivery and service fees, and when I contacted support to understand why, the chatbot told me I needed to place an order first before anyone could help. So I pushed through an order, only to have the same fees added again and receive food that arrived cold, stale, and barely edible. After that, I spent hours in the in-app help section going through endless automated prompts that led absolutely nowhere. When I finally managed to reach someone another day, I was told they couldn’t assist because the order was no longer live, which completely contradicts what I had been told before. The chat was closed, and I was told to start over and explain everything again. Not once was I offered a discount, refund, or even an apology despite wasting time, money, and patience on a membership that isn’t working as advertised. This isn’t the first time I’ve raised issues like this, but the most recent one has been by far the worst. It’s disheartening to see such a large company show so little care for its customers. I’ve now decided to cancel my membership and stop using Uber Eats altogether. I’ll be moving over to Just Eat, which handles complaints quickly, refunds without argument when things go wrong, and actually treats customers with respect. Uber Eats should take a serious look at how it handles both product reliability and customer service, because right now, it’s falling well below expectations.

Ordered £50 of food and the delivery driver turned up with no food. He said the restraunt is closed (it wasnt) but needed to make the journey so uber would pay him. I spoke with him for 10 minutes about how we cancel the food so we get the full refund and he said he will cancel it but he just took a photo of his hand and apparently told uber he couldn't find us but waited the alloted time. I have a picture of him taking a photo of his hand as I knew this would happen. Trying to get this sorted with uber has been a nightmare. They said he couldn't find us and we aren't eligible for a refund, despite me having a photo of the delivery man at the correct time. We have done a charge back by the bank and now uber is saying we owe money which we dont. We have tried to get in contact to resolve this but there is no mechanism other than automated messages that say we aren't eligible and we have a charge on the account, so we wont be using uber in the future as we would be charged additionally. Its a shame, me and my partner use uber regularly and rarely have issues, let alone a delivery driver turning up with no food and putting us £50 out of pocket so he can get paid a couple of quid. Absolutely fuming, tried to get in contact multiple times but uber doesn't want to know. Hopefully a bad review on every social media page will get your attention to speak to a person instead of a bot to review this. Use deliveroo

I waited nearly two hours for a confirmed Uber Eats order with changing delivery times and notifications showing it was active. Then it was suddenly cancelled without any clear explanation. When I contacted customer service, they gave contradictory answers and avoided taking responsibility. After I said I had screenshots proving the order status, they just blamed the driver. Instead of helping, they advised me to give the restaurant a bad rating, then closed my case without investigating. Terrible customer service, no accountability, and no respect for customers’ time. I won’t be using Uber Eats again.
