G-Love Owner Garrett Benedict’s Favorite Portland Restaurants and Food Carts | Eater Portland

"I worked at Ubuntu, a vegetarian restaurant I loved, but I didn’t want to give up certain fish and meat ingredients I like to cook with and eat—an influence on developing the reverse-steakhouse idea where sides are the main event and meat plays a supporting role." - Thom Hilton

Ray and JT are AWESOME. Great food, great service. Tacos were phenomenal and the tortilla was doubled up which I appreciate. Will absolutely be coming back. These guys are legit

Food was awesome! Had the bao buns, friends got the Rapture, the scallion pancake, everything was great. Nice outdoor eating experience in downtown St. Pete. Go, you'll love it.

I really enjoyed the burger and fries. I took this back to my hotel one late night and it didn’t disappoint.

First off, Ray is the most down to earth human you'll ever have the chance to meet. I had the most incredible conversation about life. On top of that, this dude makes some fist slamming the table steak tacos. So juicy and perfectly seasoned. Some of the most authentic tacos I've had. And of course he had some homemade empanadas so I had to try out this chorizo and sweet potato one and the sauce alone was incredible but paired with the fresh and beautifully made empanada, I took me to another world. Don't miss this place. It's worth the experience

First time visiting home in a while, and I was looking for something filling and vegan. The Clucked Up Vegan here was perfect in every way. Great flavor and filling. Highly recommend swinging by for a bite!

This was our first time coming to this food truck. We had the Rapture Sandwich and Truffle Fries. The food here is AMAZING and it is parked right at the Dunedin HOB Brewery (House Of Beer) outside pavilion. What a great setup, great food and great beer selection that is brewed locally. We are 💯 coming back!! It is located right on the Pinellas Trail!

Don't pass this place by! I almost did because they had a Cajun chicken sandwich listed on their Google Maps entry but not on their sandwich board. But I asked if they had it and they did. Holy smokes. What a great sandwich. The chicken was moist and flavorful, and the bun was soft. Plus, their fries are really good.

Located in the Dunedin HOB parking lot. It's a must try, and come back again, kind of food truck. Plus you can grab a beer while you wait for your food. I had the Rapture and it was so great that I had to go back and try another sandwich, this time the Easy Cajun chicken sandwich. Both were unreal, I wish had enough room to try a third.
