Project Feast and Ubuntu Street Catering

We just finished a delicious Holiday Family Meal from Project Feast. It was so delicious with surprise yums at every turn. What a treat. This organization is doing great work on many levels in addition to creating delicious meals that everyone should experience. Love the multicultural Family Meals and the personal touches the Project Feast team puts into each one. Highly recommend!

This is an amazing organization that helps immigrants and refugees share their talents and culture through delicious food. Every meal or catered event I've had here has been unique and tasty. Eat here, attend events here, support them!

Ubuntu Street Café is a restaurant operated by Project Feast's Culinary Apprenticeship Program. As such, it's open briefly on a few days. The rest of the workweek is dedicated to training immigrant and refugee cooks for local work in commercial kitchens. I can not overstate the value of this program. That said, my review is devoted to Ubuntu's food. It is outstanding. I've enjoyed ceviche, herby cucumber salads (topped, as I always hope, with sumac), and warming, meaty stews. When I visit, I tend toward small plates, but I have also appreciated the entrées. Today, I stopped by for esquites, which was tart and toasty. The menu rotates seasonally and as apprentices move through the training program. Ubuntu Street Café is open Wednesday-Friday from 11am-1pm.

We used Project Feast to cater a fundraising event for the non-profit event I work for. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. Most importantly, the food was delicious and unique. Our guests raved about it all night long!

I have taken 3 cooking classes through Project Feast and they have all been wonderful. The classes are a very interesting and fun way to learn about a new culture, learn new cooking techniques and eat some amazing food. I highly recommend!
