Yelp
My experience here is, of course, subjective and may vary based on my current tax bracket, lol. In times like these, I've become more selective about where I spend my money, especially when dining out.
The ambiance is charming--great for social media content, especially if you enjoy sipping cocktails in a relaxed, outdoor setting. The dinner atmosphere is moody, with live music adding a nice touch. I've visited for both brunch and dinner.
A big plus for me is that they're dog-friendly.
Brunch:
For brunch, I ordered at the counter--a $15 iced coffee and chocolate banana bread. The coffee was just okay, and the banana bread? Rock hard. After mentioning it to a staff member, they kindly replaced it with a warm croissant, which was much better. Honestly, the rest of the menu didn't appeal to me, and the portion sizes, especially for the price, felt off. For example, $17 for a slice of bread with cream and fruit? That's a pass for me. If it were a full breakfast platter for that price, I'd be sold. My friends' plates looked beautiful, but again, small portions for what you're paying.
Dinner:
Same issue--pricey, small portions. I ordered the bacon-wrapped dates, which Yelp photos suggested came in a set of six, but my plate had five. While I didn't say anything, $15 for five dates made me pause. That said, they were delicious, so I can't complain too much. My friends shared some mains and enjoyed them, but again, $16 for half a plate? Not quite my style.
The wine selection is solid, and I really enjoyed both bottles the waiter recommended. For dessert, the passion fruit option was just okay, but the chocolate mousse was rich and perfect for chocolate lovers.
Bottom line:
This is a great spot for cocktails and appetizers with friends--plus, you can bring your dog! But if you're looking for better portion sizes and value for your money, there are probably other spots worth considering. And skip the coffee.
