"The Sweet Booth owner Calvin Tong never fails to remind every customer that his drinks are always made with fresh ingredients. Within the confines of his small booth, Calvin manages to craft the most refreshing smoothies, juices, and milk teas (with housemade boba, of course). The cult favorite is his avocado smoothie, with fresh taro milk a close second. My current obsession is his delicious Chinese-style bitter almond milk blended with fresh almonds and his homemade grass jelly. But on a hot day, you really can’t beat the freshly chopped watermelon juice. It’s Calvin’s practical care and attention to detail that keep his regulars coming back. When asked why he’s forgone using powders and continues to hand peel and cut fresh fruit to order for the past 28 years, Calvin answers resolutely, “It’s healthy... and more delicious!”" - daphne wu

Google
I've never gotten disappointed for all the deserts that I ordered at this place. Today I ordered durian coconut pudding, then I received a whole coconut. I thought it was just a coconut but surprisingly, it had pudding inside of a coconut shell and it tasted crazy good!! I definitely love love love this small desert place in Oakland. Best thing ever in Oakland Chinatown.

Google
Is their price real!!??? Super fair price for big portions of their food. Coconut tofu pudding with fresh fruit tasted delicious, milk tea was very heavy on the tea, not too sweet, however the taro eggpuff was not as good, taro was really dry inside the eggpuff. But I would recommend this location for dessert but just not ordering the taro egg puff wait for them to improve

Elrik Jundis

Google
My go to spot for Chinese warm desserts. The egg puffs are not a repeat for me. But I return again and again for the almond paste and mochi balls

Google
UC Dessert reliably delivers exceptional quality and surprises us every time. The milk custard is available in multiple combinations to precisely meet the varied tastes and preferences of its clientele.

Google
First time here and ordered the Oreo Chocolate bingsoo & the Strawberry & Mango Egg Puff with mango ice cream....both were sooooo so good!! Portion sizes are plentiful and good to share. They have a very large menu of all kinds of Asian desserts ranging from hot to cold, as well as light appetizer-like snacks. Service was quick & attentive. They are open until 10p. We got there at ~8p on a Friday night and got a table, but shortly after, the cafe was full with a line out the door. Location is in Oakland Chinatown (a little sketch). Thankfully, we were able to park across the street! We will be back

Google
I came, sat down, ordered, waited for OVER 1 hour just for 1 SINGLE ORDER. service was horrible. I waited that long just for the host to pack my food to go in the end when he gave it to me, saying that we can’t eat there anymore because the place is closing. ALSO when i sat there for over an hour, no one ever cleaned our table it was still dirty with other people’s food. THE FOOD THEY GAVE US was in BAD QUALITY IT WAS ALL MELTED and disgusting. I came back to complain and the host said “you have to understand that our food quality will deteriorate as we get busier” which is so stupid and not okay. the owner needs to get 1. MORE STAFF and 2. train your staff properly and have some guidelines. food was HORRIBLE. Service was HORRIBLE. tone of the host was disrespectful.

Google
Scrumptious and delicious! The egg waffles especially are really good!

Google
Super cute dessert place! Great service, they seemed short on staff and our server was working so hard but still did a great job! Both desserts we got were really good, but I was a huge fan of the mango pomelo sago with tofu pudding.

Vivian L.

Yelp
Went here on a Friday night and it was crowded but we were able to get a spot in the booth! There are 4/5 booths and two high chairs for seating. They have a ton of desserts options. My friends and I ordered the matcha mochi egg puff & mochi rice ball with sesame paste. You should eat the mochi rice ball with sesame paste right away because it will still be warm. Both desserts were good and service was good as well! I would come back here! There's only street parking here too.

Yelp
UC Dessert is one of my favorite "nostalgic dessert spots" from my Berkeley days. They have a variety of mango sago, sticky rice, and red bean desserts that were always a special treat I'd look forward to eating as a kid. The quality hasn't changed much in the 5+ years I've been going. It's not the "best" but it absolutely hits the spot. The desserts are especially yummy when the fruits are in season, so do expect some more tart/sour flavors if mangoes and strawberries and the like aren't in season. For less than $10, you can get a pretty filling bowl of things like QQ mochis, grass jellies, fruit, sago, etc. The variety also means that it's hard to get sick of the menu because there's almost always something new to try/a new combo to experiment with. If you're looking for a place in Chinatown that's still open later at night, UC Dessert is definitely the spot!

Hanny Q.

Yelp
UC Dessert is a bit small and probably won't be able to seat large groups of people (unless you don't mind sitting at different tables) but it's perfect for small groups who are looking for a quick dessert. We came around 7/8PM on a weekday and it was not busy until a little bit after we came inside and had already gotten our order. They have a huge selection of dessert options, but my friends and I knew from the start we wanted bingsu. The portion was smaller to previous places we have tried, but it ended up being the perfect size for the three of us. We usually aren't able to finish our bingsu, but we were able to eat everything this time and it was delicious.

Elaine C.

Yelp
I was craving Hong Kong style dessert so we found this place after we saw all the meet fresh's near us were closed. UC Dessert has a lot of options--we were staring at the menu for at least five minutes while the server stood ready to take our order. We ordered M01, a mix of taro balls, taro chunks, red bean, grass jelly, and boba, served with a cute pitcher of coconut sauce. They definitely could have given us more taro balls, but I was satisfied with the spread. We also ordered the black sticky rice and black sesame paste combo, and I requested to add sago in it. This one was served hot, and it was super comforting as the evening started to get chilly. I thought it could have been a tad less sweet, but the flavors were so reminiscent of this dish when I had it in China. We absolutely devoured and left happy and full.

Chantal T.

Yelp
Cute and comforting asian dessert place in oakland chinatown! Came with two friends on a Wednesday evening. It was not very crowded and parking was easy to find. We were seated to eat at a booth and ordered from the menu. The employees were super nice and attentive. They have a big variety of desserts. I got the ginger milk custard/ pudding, which was warm, creamy, and not too sweet. I loved it and it was perfect for me especially since I was feeling sick and it was raining also. It was perfect against the cold and made me feel better. Would definitely come back again!

Allan N.

Yelp
Really great spot for a large selection of classic asian desserts. I wish more of these one-off dessert bistros existed around the bay area. You could argue Meet Fresh fits the bill, but I think there's something special about the vibe of these one-off dessert shops that is hard to replicate in a giant franchise. We ordered four desserts: 1. Egg puffs (bubble waffles) with mango ice cream and fruit 2. Almond Tofu Pudding 3. Mango Pomelo Sago 4. Milk Ice with Green Tea and Strawberry Ice Cream Despite have a cheesecake factory sized menu, the quality on every dish was upheld, and the waiter was very attentive when we were ordering individual ice cream flavours. Speaking of the ice cream - it was fantastic; the mango ice cream they have was exceptional with a great flavour and texture. P.S. i love that there's curry fish balls on the menu and it just falls right in the middle of the menu between two types of desserts - if that isn't a sign of a high quality classic asian dessert shop, I don't know what is.

Judy W.

Yelp
Came here right when they opened and their boba wasn't ready yet. Ordered a few drinks and got it with their white boba. Their drinks are made with syrup so artificial flavors. Coffees are more on the blend side and sweet so ask for less sugar if you're not a sugar person. Place was pretty empty maybe cause we got there 15 mins after their opening. Over all we didn't like the boba drinks especially the white boba since there wasn't a chew to it. Not sure if I'll be back again for it tho.

Lynna N.

Yelp
UC Dessert is a cute place with a lot of dessert options. I got the strawberry bingsoo and it was a good portion size. I think it could be shared with 2/3 people. The service was good and the place was nice.

Avinash V.

Yelp
This is dessert heaven for someone who loves desserts. We were in the neighborhood and this place caught our eye. An authentic Asian dessert place with boba and multiple other options. I want to go back and try other things too! But the menu seems complex, I have to research and get better on what is the closest of the ones I've tried with bean paste and sesame seeds. The service was great and super fast. The ambiance was kinda ok. You'd feel like you're in an ice cream place. Be careful with the parking. Watch out!

Richa N.

Yelp
A massive variety of delicious desserts are available here at prices that won't break the bank. Plus they're open late ish. Would give 6 stars if I could. I often crave the mango coconut sticky rice dish. SO GOOD.

Nikkomae S.

Yelp
Decided to try this dessert place since I was craving for some mango and it was one of the only place open late on Oakland. Cleanliness(2/5)- Unfortunately the place needs a lot of work and it definitely wasn't clean. Im not sure when they wiped down our table last as there were crumbs on the seat and table. So ambiance is definitely not there. Service (3/5)- Service was okay. Definitely needs work as the order taking took a little longer. There was one person handling 4 tables plus online orders and walk ups. She was definitely overwhelmed. Food(4/5)- chicken wings were really good, very tasty, highly recommend it. Fish and pork siomai- it was good, I asked for some soy sauce and spicy paste which they didnt have. They gave me some spicy sauce of some sort which was okay. Dessert (3/5)- Both the desserts were okay I've definitely had better. The one with the pomelo was good because of the ice cream but did not have enough pomelo on it. Drinks (3/5)- Banana Milk shake was okay and the fruit tea was okay as well. Quiet frankly, its an okay place to go to, to satisfy a craving. The place definitely needs alot of work and needs to be cleaned.

Yelp
Bathroom was one of the most disgusting I've seen in a food establishment. A urinal was filled with urine that looked like it had been sitting there all day. It smelled like a dirty public park bathroom and we almost didn't use it but my kids really had to go. I hope they clean it up since this will deter most patrons. If the bathroom is that filthy I worry about the kitchen & work space.

Gabe Y.

Yelp
Fantastic place with cheap eats and kind service. Super packed even near 9pm! They had everything that we were expecting. All to go orders were prioritized over in person service but it was just one guy running the front of house. The ginger tang yuan was great as was the taro balls dessert and the boba pudding. Their oolong tea had also great roasty flavor at 0% sugar and their boba was good texture. Would come back if in the area.

Herman L.

Yelp
Dessert was good! With the Mochi Matcha Egg puffs was a bit sweater but it was still good! Ordered the black tea bingsu but wasn't much flavor or sweetness to it. If you're not a huge fan of desserts being too sweet this would def be your spot!

Karen Y.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday night to grab to go as the area is not too safe to be in at night. I got the strawberry mango chia seed pudding with ice cream and ginger sesame mochi balls. The strawberry mango chia seed pudding did not have chia seeds but grass jelly only? I think I received the wrong order. My ginger sesame mochi balls were good. It came with 6 sesame mochi balls with a sweet gingery soup. I could have easily made this at home but I didn't have the mochi balls. Ambiance is a little outdated and the tables are a bit sticky.

Maya V.

Yelp
When you enter the restaurant, you're invited to order dine in or to go by the staff. There's also plentiful menus by the entrance and on the window outside. I ordered the Taro Balls No. 1 and it was so good! I loved the different textures of the toppings in the food. I'll have to try more taro ball desserts after this. However, I don't recommend the fruit teas. Wayyyyy too sweet and the colors aren't the same as advertised.

Eri S.

Yelp
Sometimes i just have a craving and need something gently sweet and soft and fruity. the mango and pomelo sago and tofu custard perfectly hit the spot. if you're looking for a big jolt of sugar or pumped up flavor, this is not that. the maudlin c-pop videos mixes with the sound of some shoot-em-up video game hidden behind the counter to make for a strange soundscape. the visuals are not exactly tiktok ready. but the desserts seem solid. the black sesame and almond sauce with mochi balls was also good. the sauces were smooth and warm and soothing (i much preferred the natural tasting black sesame sauce to the almond-extract flavored white sauce) but beware the mochi balls with their molten black sesame filling (the centers have more texture than the sauce). you're good as long as you can wait a minute for the temperature to come down and nibble carefully at first.

Den Paul Aquino C.

Yelp
This place is bomb.com - highly recommend the bingsu it's so yummy!!! The black milk tea bingsu was a little bitter, perfect if you prefer a less overtly sweet dessert.

Elvine V.

Yelp
Meet Fresh used to be my convenient spot for icey shaved desserts. Since they announced their closure in Daly City, I've been on the hunt for another one ("Anotha One")...anyways, a friend recommended UC in Chinatown Oakland and I was glad to have made a trip. I ordered the Black Sticky Rice w/Chia and Mango. This dessert was very comforting because the ice was shaven delicately and it melted perfectly with the milky goodness oozing down your throat. If you're a rice guy and enjoy ripe mangoes, I'd definitely recommend this basic dessert. I could tell that their specialty was their "cold" dishes. On the other hand, I also ordered the Matcha Mochi Egg-Puff. It was exactly as described and the matcha flavors did have that medium bitterness to it (does that mean its genuine matcha!?! lol). I didn't care too much about the taste of the mochi tucked inside each puff. I thought that the egg-puff could have done without the mochi. I'd pronbably be more impressed if it had cream or custard inside idk......In fact, I've been giving up on egg-puffs (and waffles) since it's rare to have something that keeps me coming back for more. UC's quality is awesome but I personally wouldn't order anything else other than their cold, ice desserts. The service was rather efficient since I used the online kiosk at front. UC seats about a good ten people total and rests on the corner of the China plaza....sorry, I don't know the name....

Julie G.

Yelp
I watched a TikTok where a woman made sago for a work potluck. It looked DELICIOUS, and I had to try. UC Dessert did not disappoint! I had the mango pomelo sago. It was cool and refreshing. The mango and pomelo tasted super fresh. The tapioca added a lovely texture and a little chewiness. It's a perfect treat for a warm afternoon.

North S.

Yelp
Love dessert places, cute plates and bowls and comfu chairs I ordered a tofu pudding not knowing what tofu pudding was and turns out its mostly sago with a little bit of sweet tofu pudding which is similar in texture to grass jelly but softer. Im not a big sago fan so I personally didnt like this as much I asked for ice cream on top, he asked what flacors I said mango, and he said it would be extra 3$. Im cool with that. He put it on the side which wasnt on top but I think its better, now I can add as much to the pudding as I want. The ice cream was the highlight of this. I love ice creams and ice creams from restaurants never disappoint. It has the perfect ice cream texture so sweet and mango-y But tbh I shouldve tried their egg puffs, it seems like they're egg puffs are their thing. 5/5 we need more dessert places

Ngoc-Diep P.

Yelp
Everyone got their food before us even though they got in after us! At first we were seated right away but after we ordered a waffle, fried chicken, and mango sticky rice sago, we waited over an hr and saw everyone got food but not us! Even after we notified the server, hey where's our order, he apologized but gave everyone else their waffles first!!! It's freaking waffles with strawberries and ice cream. How hard is it to communicate with the kitchen staff right there to prioritize our orders. He claimed they ran out of ingredients so couldn't get us our food right away but I'm like yo...I see waffles at the other table! And if you were out of fried chicken, just say so and give us the stuff you have instead of serving everyone who came after us first. Didn't even get to enjoy my mango sticky rice and sago. It was cold. Took so long even though they didn't even need to warm this stuff up. Disappointed and hangry. Didn't own up to their mistake for forgetting to enter our order. Won't be returning and don't recommend

Binh T.

Yelp
We walked in Wednesday night, and it was dead. We were greeted right away, and ordered our take out snacks with the server. Found easy meter street parking down the block. *Matcha mochi egg puff- 4 star *Tapioca Milk tea pudding-5 star *last dessert was my brothers with no complaints

Grant C.

Yelp
Good, lots of options, nice to have in the area, but I've had better. Meh interior, but fun with the Asian music videos playing on the tv. Booths are cozy. Big menu of dessert options with a couple savory items. The injeolmi bingsu was just okay. The ice was fluffy and cold and had the nutty malt flavor I love. It could have been a tad sweeter and the rice cakes were a little too chewy and I wish they were a bit softer. Next time I think I would get something different. Server was nice, food came out quick. I would definitely come back.

Joshua M.

Yelp
Came here one afternoon with a group of three on a holiday. There was one other table inside but the place became more packed later in the afternoon. There are maybe five or six tables inside and the place is quite clean with comfortable seating. We were given our menus to order from and the menu is very extensive with tons of options with images for nearly everything which helps a lot in deciding what to get. I opted for their mango milk pudding dessert which was pretty good overall. It was not too sweet and pretty light overall. The milk pudding underneath was silky and delicious. The mango pieces on top were fresh and sweet as well. The sort of mango mousse layer on top didn't have as much flavor in comparison but overall the dessert was quite refreshing.

Kelvin L.

Yelp
Ordered To Go. Black Sticky Rice with Coconut Sauce A03.... Half? $10 for half cup??? This is a sticky rice smoothie.

Daniel G.

Yelp
Really cool place to try out! The desserts are delicious and beautiful to look at. Everyone loved their order!

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
UC Dessert is located right outside of the Pacific Renaissance Plaza in Oakland Chinatown. It is mostly street parking (or garage parking), so parking may be hit or miss, especially on weekdays and weekends. I usually only come here late night, so I just park on the street in front of the shop for a quick pit stop. I always order ahead and more often than not, my order is still not ready when I arrive. My previous few visits, I ordered either one / two of the following or all three of the following - their Jasmine Milk Tea with boba, Matcha Ice Cream, and / or Matcha Mochi Egg-Puff. The milk tea is decent, it is more often than not on the more bitter side, but when I get it a bit more sweeter, it is too overly sweet. The egg-puff has a strong bitter matcha taste to it, but I like the mochi consistency / texture, but it is pretty dry to eat by itself without getting the ice cream, so I would order a scoop on the side, it is pretty creamy and the matcha flavored ice cream goes well with the egg-puff and not too much matcha.

Veronica L.

Yelp
Great HK style dessert place in Oakland Chinatown. Came here to pickup some desserts to celebrate my dad's 75th birthday and his memory. Since he was from HK this is the perfect place to get desserts to celebrate his life. Thanks to the wonderful lady who works here for her quick and friendly service! We will be back.

Christine F.

Yelp
This place some staple HK desserts! The desserts are not too sweet and are refreshing after eating a meal. It does get very crowded so if you have a large party, definitely expect a wait. There is only one server who handles waiting tables and taking orders so just be more mindful when dining in here :) I loved all the desserts I got and I would cone back here again!

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
A small space with a few tables but an expansive menu- they even have bingsoo! Unfortunately, they were out of strawberries, so we opted for the mango one instead. The shaved ice itself doesn't have much flavor, but they smother it in a mango syrup and have a few mango slices, sago, and evaporated milk to add in the side. The choice of evaporated milk instead of condensed milk was interesting because it has more of a watery texture. A couple friends ordered other items off the menu, like the almond custard (it's an egg custard with a few sprinkles of almonds, which is a bit misleading) and tofu with red bean. For desserts near the $5-7 price range, they're a lot smaller than you'd expect, which is the biggest gripe I have of this place.

Renee L.

Yelp
Best Asian dessert shop I've had by far!! First of all, the menu has soo many options -- you want bingsoo? Feeling some grass jelly? Want just a drink? They have it all here. Honestly good place to bring a group because then you can try everything! I came on a Thursday evening around 8:30pm and there wasn't a wait but almost all the booths were full. The desserts come out fast. Here were my favs that we got: Black Tea Bingsoo: MUST GET If I came back and only got one thing it would be this one. The black tea flavor really comes across! I loved how flavorful every bite of ice was and the honey bobas were perfectly sweet and chewy. None of it was watery! It's also pretty big, so well worth it!! There was grass jelly in this too that was really good. We got the matcha bingsoo and that was great too, super matcha -y but I preferred black tea. Coconut jello served in a coconut Ok I've never seen this before and indulged because I really like coconuts. They make coconut pudding INSIDE the whole coconut. This was delicious, not too sweet and would be perfect for the Asian parent that always complains about desserts being too sweet. UC Mango This is a yummy refreshing drink, on the sweeter side but just how I like it AND the colors of this drink is so cool. It reminds me of a lava lamp. I'm coming back to try more!

Sharon H.

Yelp
The desserts were really yummy! The walnut and sesame paste wasn't too sweet and was a good amount of flavor with the taro balls. My favorite was the strawberry mango egg puff with ice cream. The waffle wasn't too sweet and the ice cream mixed super well. We created our own bingsu with yogurt base, red bean, boba, and chia seeds. It was really good but they forgot to add the taro balls that were supposed to come with it ): The service was ok. They were really busy and looked like everything was made in rush. The ambiance is very casual. A cute spot to eat dessert with friends and family.

Wing L.

Yelp
Came here at night and it was relatively empty when we got here but got a lot more busy as the night progressed. Got the mango bingsoo and the tiramisu lady m cake and maybe the other flavors are better? But wasn't too impressed with either Tiramisu lady m cake - 3/5 The cake was frosty from the fridge and the fork met a lot of resistance in the layers. There were layers that were hard and not sure if this is due to being in the fridge or it just wasn't fresh. Flavors were fine, it tasted like tiramisu. Mango bingsoo- 3/5 Lots of toppings but I didn't feel like there was much sweetness in the milk provided. I didn't really like the cornflakes that were added to the top as it added a weird crunch. HK milk tea I got the hot HK milk tea and my bf got a cold one. The hot one was not strong at all and taste mainly of milk but my bfs cold hk milk tea was much stronger and tasted better.

Sonja P.

Yelp
This place is a little hard to find because my gps keeps telling me to park first. But it's on the outside of the plaza. This place is a great desert spot, and filled up around 7 or 8pm (after dinner). When we got there it was pretty empty. Deserts were really reasonably priced compared to others, and really good. Service was way more available when it was empty, but as people kept coming in, it got hectic. There was only one server and he told us to wait to pay, kindly. It is a small space for sure

Sylvia Y.

Yelp
Came here on a whim for dessert after dinner in Jack London Square. Street parking was pretty easy to find nearby as most of Chinatown was closed for the evening. There's a ton of options to choose from on the menu, whether you're looking for cold or hot, cake (such as Lady M cake slices) or paste (like sesame paste). Service was quick and efficient. Ambiance-wise, it's nothing too fancy inside. I opted for the Mango Grass Jelly with Coconut Sauce. it came out cold and refreshing. It wasn't too sweet and didn't feel heavy. I enjoyed it. Prices are reasonable too. I would be back if I was in the area.

Betty M.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday early afternoon, friendly staff - got the boba buffle waffle which was the bomb. Also got a black sesame soup with sago, which was also yummy but maybe not quite sweet enough for me. Otherwise cute shop and very conveniently located in Oakland Chinatown.

Peter V.

Yelp
I went here with my sister. They had a great variety of menu items and everything we got tasted wonderful. The sweets really melted in your mouth. However it felt like the server forgot we were there and was quite unpleasant. I will only be getting takeout from here.

Karah L.

Yelp
An overwhelming amount of choices. Nestled in chinatown surrounded by many vacant shops. The ice snow has a strange overly creamy flavor, recommend the grass jelly. redbean soup good, tofu had room for improvement. Prob won't return, there are better bingsu and dessert places in the bay

Caroline M.

Yelp
A wide variety of sweet Asian desserts. Cold bingsoo, hot sweet soup, flavored bubble waffles (they have more things but this is what I got). The bingsoo and the soup came out of the kitchen quick, but the waffle took a bit as all good waffles do. It's a bright and clean place for a quick treat after lunch.

Elaine D.

Yelp
Got the strawberry bingsu. Pretty good. It is a cozy space. Friendly staff. It was a nice place to go to for desssert. I wouldn't go in a big group but it's still a good place.

Suzy N.

Yelp
We had no intention in visiting here, but was drawn in by the smell and snack options as we were walking by. Particularly the Salted egg yolk pork floss egg puffs! Ummmm, hello, does that not sound amazing! It does. Growing up eating egg puffs, pork floss, and salted egg yolk, it never occurred to me to put it all into one. The idea is phenomenal though. We ordered just one, because we had just finished a yummy lunch around the corner. It smelled so good in the shop, we were eager for our egg puff. It was quite pricey, a lite under $10. However, it's was delicious. 5/5 for the egg puff. - The egg puff was perfectly crispy - The pork floss and salted egg yolk balanced out the sweet and salty so well 4/5 stars just because it's so pricey for one egg puff. Nonetheless, id recommend coming by and trying this unique treat. It's delicious.

Lorenzo H.

Yelp
Desserts are good but the place will have their boxes and literal junk just strawn about the place. Standards like that make me question their standards in the kitchen

Shirley V.

Yelp
I went looking for dessert on a Sunday night after dinner. Craving a warm sweet soup on a cold rainy night, I spied UC Dessert. We were lucky with street parking, and plenty of seating available. The space is clean, comfy and bright. Service wasn't super friendly, but was very efficient. After browsing the extensive menu, we ordered UC milk tea, mango grass jelly, mochi with sesame and almond, and an original egg puff. Our four items came out very quickly! The mochi was served perfectly nice and hot (as it should), unlike some other spots that serve it lukewarm. Overall a good dessert spot with a variety of options to satisfy your dessert cravings be they hot, cold, icy, sweet, savory, crunchy, soupy, jelly, chewy, and more!

TC C.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING! Any dessert lovers or people with a sweet tooth must come. Lots of options! We had the Bing su oreo and the Lady cake. Both extremely delicious, not too sweet! Just perfect

Natalie M.

Yelp
This place is stellar. The egg puffs are good and the sesame with almond pudding are divine with the sesame filled balls. I loved the overall look of this cafe. Very nice service and very clean atmosphere. I enjoyed the options of dessert. Ice cream was pretty good too! I think the decor was very nice and everything tasted fresh.

Danielle K.

Yelp
Stopped in for the first time for an evening treat with the family. I like that there is a giant book of menu options, replete with pictures, right when you walk in. For the kids, they would have liked a bit more explanation, with some descriptions next to the pictures to answer their burning questions like, "what is sago?" and other inquiries. Place is spacious inside and there's room to sit down comfortably if you'd like. We were going to take it out, but decided to stay in and eat there. Prices are pretty fair for most items. We ordered: 1. black sticky rice with chia and mango: second favorite item. The chia was frozen though, so it was a bit painful to chew on. The flavor was great. 2. Mango milk custard: I think there was an imbalance of egg in the custard, but the mango topping was delicious. 3. Macaron egg puff with ice cream: this was a home run. Deserving of all 5 stars. Not overly sweet, delicate but still crispy. Really, really beautifully done. 4. Red bean soup: Good. Nice and warm. Not too sweet.

Yelp
One of the few dessert places open late in Oakland. They have an extensive menu of traditional Chinese desserts (both hot and cold). Ordered the black sesame paste with tofu fa (tofu pudding), and tried the walnut paste with tofu fa. I like how the black sesame paste was thick and creamy but a bit on the sweater side. The walnut paste was really good and tasted traditional. The tofu fa was silky smooth and fresh. One downside was that there was no ginger milk custard available at the time. Overall, I like how they're open late and they carry so many types of desserts that it makes it hard to choose. Would recommend this place if you're looking for traditional hot or cold desserts!

Yelp
My husband pretty much loves this place. We go fairly often wether it's just for a boba drink or for desert. They have really good options especially if you have a sweet tooth! They are open decently late and they have indoor seating available if you don't want to take it to go. My favorite thing is the EGG PUFFS! They are light and fluffy and literally so good. You can get them plain or with toppings. They have plenty of options to choose from so give them a try you will not be disappointed!
