Uca - Review - Downtown LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"The rooftop bar at The Delphi Hotel now looks like something you’d find at a Tulum resort, i.e. woven lampshades and lots of palm fronds. The cocktail list features beachy-sounding drinks, like the Street Mango with tequila, mango, and coconut cream, or the Palm Reader with avocado oil-washed tequila and green chartreuse. The food menu reads familiar with tacos, ceviche, and aguachile, but the horchata tres leches cake caught our eye. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists. I remember this spot when it used to be the club for “The Standard” hotel. Same beautiful view and excellent ambiance. We started with the with the queso fundido which was delicious. I was expecting tortilla chips but it came with small flour tortillas. You can request fried tortillas too. A great starter followed by their street corn which was delicious also. For my entree we got the branzino and the pork loin. Both were very delicious and presented excellently. I was expecting the branzino to be a full fish presentation but this was easier to eat without worrying about bones. For dessert we got both the horchata tres leches and choco flan. The horchata was my favorite and excellent, I wish it came with ice cream. The choco flan was good but felt more like a jello dessert than a flan to me but the flavors were there. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items. Definitely a great date spot with an excellent view of DTLA. Parking is paid at the Delphi hotel which I believe might validate if you valet but double check. I paid for self parking.

ÜCA truly lives up to its description it feels like a chic escape above downtown LA, with the vibe of a Tulum rooftop but the energy of the city. The view is stunning at night with the skyline all around, making it the perfect backdrop for drinks and dinner. The food was great, flavorful, beautifully presented, and made with fresh ingredients. The seafood and Latin-inspired dishes really shine, and the portions are satisfying without being heavy. Drinks were just as impressive, especially the craft cocktails built around agave spirit, creative, balanced, and served with flair. The atmosphere ties it all together: stylish yet relaxed, with music, cozy seating, and a rooftop vibe that makes you want to linger. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. If you’re in DTLA and want great food, incredible drinks, and an unbeatable rooftop vibe, this is the spot.

Came to @ last night for a birthday dinner. It’s on the rooftop of the @delphi hotel. Vibes and ambiance are a 5/5 Food was a 3/5 Service 5/5 It’s giving Tulum garden lounge vibes with a beautiful bar and incredible views. Guacamole - pretty good Chips - not crispy and seemed stale. Our waitress brought a “fresh batch” but was exactly the same. Very chewy. Queso fundido - delish! Especially with the flour tortillas Aguachile - pretty good but needs spice Black beans - good Cilantro lime rice - good Street corn - yummy Carnitas tacos - decent Steak tacos - decent Goberbado tacos - yummy Birthday churros - yummy Adult beverages - most are premixes which my party did not like. Bathroom is up a few stairs to the pool area which is cute as well! Hoping they work out the kinks and this place does better with the food and drinks and maybe add some live jazz. That would set it off. @travel_lifestyle_chow

Use to be called "standard" Which was a cool spot. But they really remodeled this roof top well. Parking is easy. Located in the back of the building. Elevator to the restaurant is located on the second floor up the stairs when you enter. There's a hostess at the elevator. Makes it feel more like a NYC/Manhattan lounge/restaurant. Price is actually pretty amazing. As in not very expensive. Food portions are very fair. With some being medium to some sides being A LOT which is great. I tried a few things. Steak tacos Beans Guacamole Let's start with the tacos. More of an American style taco but with great flavor. Meat is marinated well. It's not overly salted or peppered. Portion is good with 3. Display was great. Beans. Pretty average but tastes good. Guacamole. Nothing overly complicated. THANK GOD. It's so annoying when places complicate the simplest things. And they did not do that with the guacamole. Would I recommend this place? Most definitely. The atmosphere is more young. Upper class. The food is good. Not AMAZING but definitely worth a return. Pool area is fantastic. Staff was awesome. If you like a good roof top pool with food? Highly recommend. Enjoy! Food: above average Staff: no issues Cleanliness: very well Decor: new and remodeled Bathrooms: very clean

I really liked the cocktails, guacamole, ceviche, and the chips that come with them. We spent about $140 including tip. The only dish we didn’t enjoy was the yellowtail salad—it felt very basic for the price, so I wouldn’t order it again. The waitress was super nice and the ambiance was amazing. Just be patient with the elevator since it’s quite old, but everything else was great!

I was excited to try this new place because I love a rooftop and I had heard good things about it. They did not disappoint. The views are very cool, being in the heart of DTLA. I accidentally made a reservation for a week after we wanted to go. But the host and all of our servers were able to graciously handle our party of 6 and get us seated quickly. The drinks were compelling and the food was tasty. The presentation for the Char Ritual cocktail was especially charming and my bf was very happy with the chicken pibil dish.

We had the best dinner ever tonight! We had 9:00pm reservations and we arrived earlier but were seated right away. The outdoor aesthetics gives Tulum vibes with a beautiful skyscraper backdrop. Every detail from the decor to the plants to the table setting was on point. Our server Sophia was wonderful and attentive. She recommended some amazing dishes and drinks that’s didn’t disappoint! Drinks we got the Palm Reader, Daydream in Tulum, and Hibiscus Negroni (picture). We ordered the Queso Fundido (picture) to start which was incredible! Then we shared the Torta burger and the tacos gobernador (shrimp tacos with melted cheese!). Each dish was better than the next. Flavor profile and textures were to die for. We finished the with horchata tres leches which was of course a winner. The entire staff was so respectful and wonderful the entire evening. Can’t wait to come back!!
