The place is a bit difficult to find for those visiting Osaka since it is in the subway network, but definitely worth it. The noodles were so springy and the soup was perfectly seasoned. This was the first time I had egg tempura and omgggggg it was AMAZING. I love textures in my food so the crunchy and softness was divine. Udon Bo is named Bib Gourmand by the Michelin guide which I definitely agree as it was SO GOOD and SO CHEAP (~$10 CAD). Follow @vonne.appetit on instagram for more food reviews 💕

Just picked this place out on my Google map on my last night here and turned out it was amazingly good. I’m usually not a fan of Udon but this place changed me. Let the pictures tell the story.. If I’m back in town I will try another menu. Luckily there was no line when I was there. Highly recommended 😍😍😍👍👍👍

The texture of cold udon is great!!! Udon tsukemen is on the gingery side and not to my taste. The cold green tea they served was so relieving on a hot autumn day! Queue also moved pretty fast! 30-45mins on cultural day.

This is the best udon that we have had so far. Broth is light yet flavourful. Not salty unlike the kind of udon we have been exposed to back home. The beef udon is more flavourful than the tempura one if you like a more robust flavour. Both are recommended and the cost is less than 1500 yen per pax even with the addition of an onsen egg. (Can’t rmb the exact cost) Be prepared to queue as it is popular with locals as well but the queue moves very fast.

Best udon I have ever tried (as a udon lover). Scrumptious bowls with well-made broths and handmade noodles. Tried both the cold udon with tempura and onsen egg, and hot udon with dipping broth. Amazing

Delicious udon and tempura, some of the best we had in 2 weeks of travel! Quick and convenient after a day of exploring Osaka. Be advised it’s cash only!

The restaurant is tiny and seats less than 20. There was a small line when we arrived at noon for lunch but it moved pretty quick. They don't accept credit card, it's cash or PayPay only. On to the food. These were maybe the best udon noodles I've tried. The texture of the noodles were perfectly chewy. We ordered the cold dashi broth which was perfect for the hot day and really refreshing. The tempura which came with the udon was crispy but I wish they would have it hit it with just a sprinkle of salt after being fried, but that's just my personal preference. I think the intention is to flavor the tempura with the dashi broth that the udon comes in.

On a hot day, I thoroughly enjoyed the chewy cold udon with crispy tempura. I'm also taking some noodles home with me :)

Yelp
This location is definitely difficult to find. A tip? Just walk around the floor B2 and check each restaurant that has a line! Even though the line moves quickly, I don't think it was worth the wait. The broth was way too fishy and sweet for my taste. Don't be fooled by the long lines! It was also quite warm inside, I don't think their ac works very well. So keep that in mind, especially if it is summer time! Hot soup and no ac plus humidity? YIKES!

Yelp
Exceptional udons! They have varieties of udons with soup or dipping in broth. Got the udon with an umami broth that had chicken, eggplant's & mushrooms. The noodles bounces & not mushy at all. This place is so old school & totally traditional. The place is very small & there's always a line. Service was outstanding! They do have an English menu but you pay more than the Japanese menu. We just pointed the pic.

Yelp
Probably the one restaurant we had the most trouble with ordering. Tough to find on Google maps too since there were so many restaurants in the same building, and spread between multiple floors. Actually walked quite a far way from the Osaka Station to get here. The staff didn't speak any English at all. That usually isn't a problem for us, especially since this restaurant had an English menu with pictures. The problem was that the English menu didn't even have half of the items listed in the Japanese menu. When we tried to point out what the other table had ordered, the waiter wasn't able to explain why we couldn't have the same thing lol. We just want to eat what the locals like to eat!! Communications issues aside, the Tempura Udon was delightful as expected. Clean broth, noodles with perfect texture, crispy tempura. Nothing too outstanding though. The Curry Udon was more spicy than any of us could handle lol. We did manage to order extra shrimp tempura after using Google Translate. #247
