"I found that this Quebec-born company doesn’t handle delivery or offer a consolidated, searchable website; instead restaurants embed Ueat’s web menu directly on their own sites so customers can order without creating an account. Delivery is provided either by the restaurant itself, local ridesharing co-op Eva, or DoorDash Drive, with tips chosen by diners going to the driver and restaurants deciding who pays the delivery fee. When I tried the service a $3.99 delivery fee appeared at checkout. According to a sales document sent to a Montreal restaurant, Ueat charges restaurants roughly $0.27 to $0.89 per transaction depending on volume, plus about a $70 monthly base fee, and it does not take a commission on orders but charges a $495 setup fee; Ueat says the service can “pay for itself” by increasing the average bill by up to 40 percent. Restaurants using the service include Mandy’s, Copper Branch, Yuzu Sushi, Benny & Co., and Paramount Fine Foods." - Eater

I used UEAT for multiple locations for a couple of years before switching to a custom POS solution with integrated third-party services and online ordering capabilities, making UEAT unnecessary. Despite calling MULTIPLE times over several months to cancel my services, they continued to make it extremely difficult and kept finding reasons to delay the cancellation. Even after I finally thought it was cancelled, I received another monthly bill today via email. When I called to request a refund, they put me through endless loops and claimed they "can't refund it" because their policy is to "always charge one more bill after you cancel your contract." This is completely dishonest - they actively gatekeep cancellations for months while you're trying to cancel, then hit you with surprise billing after the fact. This is not how an honest business operates. Their cancellation process is deliberately designed to extract additional payments from customers who are trying to leave. Avoid this company if you value transparent billing practices and the ability to actually cancel services when you need to.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Very incompetent and inconsistent customer/technical support/service you can ever imagine. I hired this horrible company for my restaurant in Airdrie and their system never worked as it was supposed to. It ended up bringing my other online platforms Uber, skip and DoorDash down as well. I lost more than 5-6k revenue because of their trash system. I will never recommend their services to anyone.

I opened up new restaurant in Airdrie Alberta. I have Moneris terminals for payment processing which is sister company of RBC. I got sales and promotional email from ueat presenting them as sister company of Moneris. That's why I got trapped and this was my biggest mistake to trust them. Their integration software is piece of trash and caused me thousands of dollars loss during busy season of Christmas and New year. I wasted so many days then weeks and kept waiting for them to fix their system but it never worked. Surprisingly they kept withdrawing monthly fee from my account as I signed up contract with them. They after fighting for few months then they downgraded my monthly fee to lower level which is only $10 cheaper. Now they are processing my online orders only and they are unable to fix glitches in their integration system. They were supposed to pay me back for the loss of my business due to malfunction on their part but they never replied back for any compensation. I will never recommend such a trash company and their staff to my friends and families. They never refunded any portion of fee when system was completely down. Stay away from this company.

I don’t recommend any restaurant use this company. They have a good system but people running this are incompetent and do not even know how software works. They told me that their Uboard app only works on tablets they send me. I can literally download the app from the google play store and run it on any android tablet. The guy tells me this is not possible. Are you dumb? STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY LOTS OF HEADACHES!!!

Not recommended at all. First of all, they didn’t inform me there was a one-year contract or that I’d have to pay the remaining balance even if I cancel early. That said, I’d still rather pay the cancellation fees and stop using their service.

⭐ Terrible Service and Mismanagement I regret signing up with U Eat after being promised a boost in sales. Yusuf from their team was relentlessly bugging me for my banking details to start the subscription. I specifically told them to activate it only when I gave the go-ahead. Despite this, a few weeks later, I noticed a charge of $600 CAD on my account without my approval. I immediately reached out to their support team, but I’ve received no response whatsoever. This is highly unprofessional and feels like I’ve been scammed. Save yourself the headache and avoid U Eat. They’re unreliable, unresponsive, and can’t be trusted with your business or money.

I rarely give bad reviews but unfortunately in this case it was well deserved. This company was an absolute nightmare to deal with and I wish to warn everyone I can. They cost me months of my own time setting everything up to discover they couldn't deliver on what they advertised or promised and then when I needed to cancel they refused to give my large some of money back under the guise of 'work had been carried out' with no recognition of my own time that they had wasted. Right from the begin in the sales process they promise you the world and make it sound all to easy then once you've signed up and several month setup period everything starts to fall apart at the seams. It became painfully clear that their integration software is lacking in so many ways that almost everything is a work around to the point that it creates more work than an unintegrated system. For example for product variations they require mulitple duplicates of each product and manually updating each duplicate on each system. I often wouldn't receive response from support and would require several follow ups. In short this company sells false promises, demands a lot of your own time to set up, fails to deliver, and makes the account cancellation process so slow confusing and painful. I urge you to find an alternative solution to Ueat

Aggressive sales reps and rude client reps with no professionalism, poor and curt communication. Would not do recommend doing business with this organization. Terrible experience so far. And we haven't even opened shop. We're scared to actually move forward and consider cutting our losses and just get out.
