Uga Bay

My wife and I, together with 2 more families spent a long weekend at this fantastic hotel on the beach in the eastern coast of Sri Lanka. The rooms had all possible amenities with a very comfortable bed. Rooms were very spacious, clean and well designed. The staff was very helpful and took an extra step towards making our stay very comfortable. Although the food range was moderate, it was tasty and palatable. The pool and the garden area was superb. The sea was little rough and better to visit in July during the season. Overall I give 5 stars.

The hotel staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to help with any requests.|The highlight was the grand buffet on 31st night. It was an absolute feast for the senses. From fresh seafood to international cuisines and decadent desserts, every dish was crafted to perfection. There were live cooking stations, and the attention to detail was impressive.|The celebration itself was lively and festive, with a live band, DJ, and an incredible firework display that lit up the midnight sky.The hotel staff were exceptional, ensuring every guest felt special. |Whether you're looking for a romantic escape or a family vacation, Uga Bay is a fantastic choice. Can't wait to come back!

This is our first family trip to Pasikuda, and the stay at Uga Bay has been an unforgettable experience and nothing short of amazing. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and with incredible views from any vantage point. The resort grounds are kept clean and tidy at all times and the pool is excellent. A massive thank you to all the incredibly friendly staff, especially Munas at the restaurant, who was very efficient with any food and drink requests, to the housekeeping team of Balesh, Vathanan and Jeluksan for keeping our rooms neat, tidy and well stocked with amenities. To the Beach Bar staff Nissanka, Jevan and co who provided tasty cocktails and organized sporting equipment to keep the family entertained. Will definitely be returning later in the year!

We received an unforgettable welcome with a half a dozens of staff at the site and warm greetings. Even before we go they were very good in communicating and providing customized information for us from the very begging.||This hotel has a delightful swimming pool in the middle of the hotel, just facing the beech closer to the restaurant. Room is quite large with a comfy king size bed. They’re was a very good collection of bathroom amenities.||Need to mention about our meal experience which was absolutely scrumptious. Enjoyed a real Sri Lankan see Crab curry with ‘Rost Paan’. Thank you very much ‘Indika’ (head cheff) your meals were delicious. We enjoyed the meals very well. How can we forget about the Cocktails! Great.||Special thanks for Afham (our special staff member), Prasanna – Front office manager, Sanjeev- Restaurant Manager, Cheff and all other staff members for their continued outstanding hospitality and support throughout our Stay.

The service has been nothing but stellar. It is by far the best resort I’ve been in Sri Lanka. Everything was perfect from|Beginning to end. Thank you to the staff, the cleaning staff, the people who welcomed us, the bar, the chefs that took the time to explain the dishes. It was just a magical experience even with a two year old toddler. ||Thank you so much for this amazing experience. We are leaving with our hearts full of gratitude.

This is one of the calmest, beautiful places we have ever been. The staff weŕe amazing. I cannot pick out one individual as they were all wonderful. The food was glorious. The ambience was extraordinary. Set metres from a beautiful beach, the rooms were relaxing and the standard of hygiene was 5*. Would we return, in a heartbeat. Might add, we felt incredibly safe in the surrounding area. We are walkers and went out every single day, meeting locals, always smiling.

Our stay at Uga Bay, Pasikuda was fantastic.||Their rooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained, the staff were extremely friendly. |Especially Mr Dasun ensured we had a comfortable stay throughout. ||The food was delicious and the variety of choices allowed us to explore many cuisines. |Chef Lakmal assured that everything was perfect and we enjoyed our meals.||Mr Munas was catering to our needs while we were at the restaurant which was very helpful. ||Overall, the view and the peaceful nature of the hotel gave us a relaxing stay.||Highly recommended this hotel to anyone visiting Pasikuda.

One of the well known hotels in Kalkudah, managed by the Uga chain, provided us with a comfortable two night stay in the Base Suite. The suite was well equipped with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay and even included a lovely private pool. The staff were exceptional super friendly, supportive and attentive, ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. The service was top notch and we truly appreciated their efforts. However, we did encounter an uncomfortable situation with one rude front desk officer during the checkout process. Thankfully, this could be overlooked as the rest of the staff were outstanding. Breakfast and dinner were served buffet style while lunch was from an à la carte menu. The food was decent but honestly we expected more variety from the Uga chain, especially since we’ve had better buffet experiences at hotels in the same range. We also booked an early morning snorkeling session but unfortunately we had to cut it short as the sea water was murky and unclear due to sandy conditions. For future guests we recommend checking with the front desk beforehand to confirm the sea conditions with the boat crew to avoid such disappointments. Overall our stay was excellent. The bar service was fantastic and special credit goes to the housekeeping team for their impeccable room cleaning and arrangements. The beach was another highlight safe, serene and perfect for a worry free swim.
