Ugis Subs

So far I've had the chicken cutlet and Italian subs and these are really good, classic old school taste and filling. I just had the pastrami and steak bomb combo and - how is this so good?!! Thanks for listing this. Clam strips - typical Sysco stuff but stayed crispy through the delivery. Chicken wings ended up soggy, sadly but considering all the other choices around, I can't complain too much about it. Note to self - eat pastelitos while still scorching hot because if it cools too much it loses all the flavor and crisp.

I paid $20 for a steak and cheese and a drink and my sandwich didn't even come with the stuff I asked for. It had decent flavor. Was dingy, nobody in there. Probably should have turned around when I walked in

$14 for a steak & cheese highly disappointed; more bread than anything. Won’t be going back.

This is the best Italian I've had around here. You guys are amazing. Thank you so much for the wonderful service.

Great food and cheap prices, but you might wait 20 minutes in an empty restaurant and have to change your order multiple timea due to missing ingredients.

Should’ve went to McDonald’s. Ordered a cheeseburger and it just cheese and the burger. No lettuce ketchup or anything and it doesn’t give you the option to add it. Reminds me of school lunches, damn I should’ve went to McDonald’s. Fries were gross and plain just like the burger. Was only $7 so it’s okay won’t be back 😍😍

My sandwich was very much bread little meat the lettuce was all wilted and the place was 180 degrees they need to do better.

My son ordered from Uber but selected the pick up option. I picked up the order only to find out when I dropped it off his sub was missing from the order. He tried calling but the call failed every time. I eventually went back and picked up his sub. When I opened my food I was extremely disappointed. A fish dinner with no tarter sauce and what is supposed to be haddock filets tastes and looked like flattened fish sticks.

I got the cheesesteak based on the previous reviews. It was just okay. You can tell that the steak was fresh, which was a plus, but it was bland. Also, it was damn near impossible to find Ugi's despite using navigation.

Horrible food experience! Egg and home fries order not sent, sausage was raw, turkey bacon sent instead of regular pork bacon on sandwich, all of the ingredients not sent with meals, and everything was flavorless, overcooked, and disgusting. Ugi's DO BETTER!!! SMH

What is happening to the food in Boston. This place is a throw back, they are part of my H.S. days and the food was great. I just ordered on Uber after almost 12 years of not eating here. And never again. NEVER. What a waste of money and built up anticipation. The food is trash

Got delivery. Fries were hot and not soggy. Cheesesteak had good shaved steak not stringy and fatty and the bread was nice n soft and blended w the cheese. It's actually the second time I got this order and they both were hittin

I ordered through Uber Eats paid 35$ for Clam Plate and Lge Cheese Pizza driver came to residence with instructions to bring my food to apartment. Thank God for the security guard in my building the delivery guy spoke no English, how do you send him now I get the meal the pizza was ok but the clam plate was horrible the clam strips were cut in half and looked like overcooked chips about 15 of those who cuts clam strips in half with a sprinkle of French fires . I called ugis he layed phone down I hung up called back he took phone off the hook i reported and took picture made complaint with Uber Eats my dinner was ruined a 35$ shame

It's a 50/50 for me for this business. Like it depends on who's making the food that will make or break them. The food is good sometimes but not bad enough to never return. I usually get the same thing when I order here a double hamburger-- the fries are not the best so I always skip that if I can. But depending if you order with them or a carrier (Uber eats, grub hub etc) the pricing and items differ. Can't complain they are local and have been a staple in the community. The service is always great as well but then burgers be dry if cheese ain't on it lol

Essential food staple in the community that never disappoints. I can order one day & not order for months, come back & order & the quality of food is still excellent. If you're from Boston, Ma like myself then you already know that Ugi's is the fabric of our community. I can remember starting grade school and my mom ordering my a cold cut sub from here for all my field trips. This sub is LIFE! I stepped off the airplane, hungry and tired and this place have me all my life back I tell you!!!! The meat is shaved perfectly, the veggies are grilled on point, the cheese, the cheese is melty and gooey! Anthony at the window is soooo sweet! I sincerely enjoyed myself! This totally made my Boston trip! Wait, did I mention the crispy French fries? Grrrrrr! So perfect! Thank you so much!

I've been ordering from here for a few years now, the service is always great! The breakfast plate is my favorite or there steak an cheese subs. Highly recommended.

Went to a pizza and sub shop and they didn't have pizza at 1:40pm?!?!? I haven't been here in YEARS and was in the area... since Joe's was closed, came here remembering the slices from when they had a shop in Washington Park Mall... I did get a steak & cheese, but next time I'll keep driving.

Whoa! What is going on with the state of steak and cheeses in Dudley. Ordered a large steak and cheese and it immediately felt light weight. There was very little steak in the sub one side looks as if a tablespoon of steak was wiped on. It was also dry. I mean what the heck people?! You do want repeat customers right? I just can't be the one. I loved Ugi's for years sadly I guess i've been away too long. Give better quality and quantity of food to keep loyal customers coming back.

The best subs! When ever I am visiting Boston it is a must to visit Ugi's. The subs are always on point and I'm from NYC, they don't make subs in NYC like they do at Ugi's !

Services sucks. I order eggs and bacon there was no one in the restaurant waited for 15 minutes order still wasn't made.

They have the best steak and cheese subs in Boston; love their fries too. I've been getting my subs from there since I was a kid and I'm 25 now, so like 15-16 years! The subs are not greasy and the rolls are so soft. The shop is small and definitely a take-out place. They have a couple of tables, but not many people sit to eat. Fyi, there are no sizes to the subs just one. They also take cards. I highly recommend.

I don't know what the hell happened with this sub shop. Seems like the younger staff took over and now they're just unprofessional, tacky and the phone is ALWAYS off the hook. Why did I come in here to order food and when I get up to the counter there's 4 dudes sitting there (one with a hoodie on his head) just looking at me like "what do you want" instead of simply asking "HOW MAY I HELP YOU"? Other times I've come in here and they were playing playstation on the T.V. and another time they were playing Chess at one of the dining tables....no I'm not joking! A few times the guys that work here came in smelling like weed then went behind the counter to serve food. Okay I understand Dudley Square is considered the ghetto, but I will NOT spend my money where I can't get basic customer service. I went up the street to Suya Joint where the staff is more civilized, I'll never step foot in this raggedy ass restaurant again although they USED TO be one my favorite spots.

So. Let me begin my review by saying I have come here a few times and all of those times have been fairly decent. Yesterday I walk into this sub shop and im greeted by a greasy guy who doesn't even say hello. I proceed to smile and say " Can I please have a Italian sub, but I do not want any "- . Cut off. He stops me there and states that the subs are "pre-made" with the meat so I would have to get it as is. Wait... so I walk into a sub shop to get a Italian cub that I have gotten many times before(a very sweet younger guy usually makes it) and apparently I cannot customize it. What if I was allergic to an ingredient. Well long story short he rudely told me I can go somewhere else to get my sandwich because he was not making it. I have never in my 28 years of life had such bad service and I will never go back there. They lost a customer due to his ignorant behavior and that sucks. I ended up going to JOE'S SUB SHOP across the street and had a excellent customer service experience. Go there if you want quality food.

Had a breakfast here this morning and it was good really good ..i have had steak n cheese subs from here in the past and they are good to,,,i go here every now and then to see whats up with my homeboy Rusti at funky fresh records next door..but i dont think Ugi's can ever come close to Joes subs shop

Went here the other nite for a quick bite. Got chicken tenders and my friend got a cheeseburger sub. Everything was ok. I thought it was a little pricey for a "cheap sub shop" thou... $17 and some change for the chicken tenders (without fries) a large cheeseburger sub and 2 sodas. Before that it has been about 3 years since Ive eaten there and I guess i remember it being better than it was.

when im on this side of town and my belly get to make sum noise i stop in here 4 a sub mostly the cold cutts i wud snatch from here used to force it for lunch in middle school
