How to Plan a Sweet and Savory Snack Crawl Through Flushing | Eater NY

"On the block of Roosevelt Avenue between Main and Union streets I tried Ugly Donuts and Corn Dogs, a narrow stall where ordering is done by touchscreen; the doughnuts (around $2 each) are based on a deep-fried twist of ribbon-like dough and are usually dipped in powdered sugar, granulated sugar, or injeolmi (a Korean soybean powder with an indescribably funky taste) — the injeolmi added savory notes that made me wrinkle my nose but kept me eating. The stall also offers four doughnut flavors and six "ugdogs," and its Korean corn dogs ($3.49–$6.49) used a rice-flour batter that makes the exterior exceedingly crunchy (sometimes studded with cubed potatoes), often rolled in sugar and squiggled with sauces like gochujang, mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise; the beef-pork sausage was a shade better than many I've tried, and I preferred mine with plain mustard rather than sugar." - Robert Sietsema

Ugly Donuts & Corn Dogs Pearland

Google
I’ve always wanted to try this style of corn dogs and am SO happy we came across this place. They are made to order, have great crunch and excellent flavor (especially the beef omg), and overall is very filling! I do think the employees could be more welcoming and friendly as they seemed like the typical kids who don’t wanna be working, and the prices could be a bit lower, but otherwise we’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
Overall great place for Korean corn dogs! They have a fee different flavors as well. I got the pizza flavored one. It was flavorful and savory. The outside was crispy, and the inside was cheesy and fluffy. The food was made fresh right in front of us. Located in the Pearland town center, there are plenty of tables and chairs outside as well to eat, relax, and shop.

Love this place!!! Please be patient everything is cooked to order. I don't eat meat so I only get mozzarella cheese with panko but it's still amazing and the cheese pull is like no other!!! My son loves the donuts oh and the lemonade with sparkling water is REALLY good...again please be patient food comes out hot and delicious and worth the wait!!

Google
This place was very good the first couple times I went, but I will say service and quality have gone downhill since they first opened. It is still good, but the cream donuts are no longer filled as much with the filling, and they tend to run out more than before. The workers are less communicative and short with customers, compared to when they started. This location is also very small so don't try to go as a group, because you won't fit. It's best to order to-go.

Google
Pretty cool spot for some doughnuts. I'm veg so I asked for the vegan hotdogs they advertise online, unfortunately they don't have the vegan corndog at this location, made me sad lol. I however ordered the original ugnut, redbean doughnut and blueberry ugnut with help of the staff, and they were pretty good. Those ones are vegan. A little pricey but not bad, dough soft good, outer layer pretty crunchy. I found it a little difficult to order with the kiosk, but after the learning curve it was fine 😅. All in all reccomend these ugnuts. Its cool that you get to see the staff make the dough and corndogs upfront, very similar to Korean streetfood style. Long line when we came, but next time we may order online for pickup as thats an option too. Pretty small but pretty unique spot.

We recently stumbled upon a delightful spot perfect for a quick snack, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice! We opted for the classic corn dog, which we decided to top with crispy French fries. The fries were perfectly cooked, boasting an incredible crunch that paired wonderfully with the soft texture of the corn dog. To enhance our meal experience, we sampled a refreshing beverage called Sunset Peachy. This drink was a vibrant blend of sweet peach flavor, adorned with luscious lychee toppings, and mixed with sparkling water for a delightful fizz. The combination was not only visually appealing but also incredibly refreshing, adding a unique twist to our snack. The atmosphere of the place is equally inviting, with outdoor seating that allows you to bask in the fresh air while enjoying your treats. It's truly a joyful venue that’s sure to entertain and please the kids!

Google
Really good food the place is a little small but everyone has to start somewhere I'm sure they will expand. It is a little wait since they make everything to order. The drinks are good I have the strawberry lemonade make sure to mix your drink to get the full experience. The donuts are really tasty and the Korean hot dogs are good. Worth the wait just a little overcrowded in the building.

Google
great atmosphere and food, i definitely enjoy each visit. food is on the pricey side but made fresh right in front of you. the building is small on the inside so just beware of other customers.

Yelp
Ugly Dogs was delicious! One corn dog is honestly big enough to share. I didn't really care for the taco-flavored one, but the original and the cheese corn dogs were so good those are definitely the ones I recommend. I forgot to take pictures of them, but they were worth it. I also tried their Ugnuts, and they were pretty good. My favorite was the strawberry cream cheese flavor. I also had the plain and the regular cream cheese-filled one (pictured below), and those were solid too. The shop itself is small. You just go inside, order at the counter or use the kiosk, and pick up your food. There's no indoor seating, so don't expect a dine-in experience. Since it's located in the town center, you can easily find a table outside to eat. Overall, great spot for fun, oversized corn dogs and sweet treats.

Yelp
Today was the worst experience ever. I was treating my daughter to a snack after school and because she is a little older I allowed her to place the order herself. After paying and getting the hotdogs she realized there was no meat in the hotdog. This was truly an honest mistake. I went to let the worker know and his response was "that's how I ordered it" I stated it was a honest mistake and she is just a child, his response was "I would have to pay for another one" FYI the hotdogs are average $10 a piece. I said $20 for a hotdog thats outrages can you remake it. Then the worker at this point known as Eric told me " I should have been there with my child when she ordered" I was taken bake back. I had been nice and polite up to this point. All niceness trying to be reasonable was gone. Then he say over a $10 hotdog. I said at this point its not about the hotdog, it about how you spoke to me as a customer and that he was out of line. I could not hold my composure any longer, he continued with the smart remarks. I ran into two other ladies down the sidewalk and they heard me and stated they had a bad experience with "Eric" in the past and refuse to go back. I ask to speak with the owner and he said that's why she put him in charge. Customer service very disappointed. I have frequent this place numerous times. Never Again.

Yelp
Their ugly donuts are vegan! My favorite type of donut is the simple sugar sprinkled donut. I can't get enough of the simple cinnamon sugar donut. Absolutely love this place!

Yelp
The cheese pull was so satisfying in the ugdogs. My favorite was the pizza flavored one and the la mexicana because both had strong sauces to complement the heaviness of the fried ugdogs and the cheese. I also really liked the jalapeños on one of the ugdogs, which added a nice kick to the meal and broke up the monotony. There wasn't much service to comment on as we ordered on the digital screens and picked up our food when it was ready. The actual restaurant was very small, and there's no room in there except to stand on the side and wait for your food, but I liked the outdoor seating area, especially because there was nice weather outside.

Yelp
Yum! I love how creative their menu is. The shop is small, not much room for sitting or standing while waiting on orders. Definitely not a dine-in place. Orders are taken at kiosks, efficient! I got the premium pizza dog and a filled donut with nutella & strawberry. Both were delicious! The seasoning on the dog was just right, I LOVE the pesto - such a unique option. And the breading is chewy, not too thick, goes well with the rest. The filled donut looks a little different than in photo, could get messy so make sure to grab napkins!

Yelp
A small enclosed kiosk that sells atypical donuts and Korean corn dogs. There is no table nor chairs inside. But there are a few tables and chairs just right outside the kiosk, and some benches around the playing field. There are two self-ordering kiosks for payments via credit card. For cash payments, order via the kiosk then go to the counter for payment. There isn't a physical menu. As a first time customer, I was lost. I had to look through the options via the self-ordering kiosks. I took quite some time standing in front of the machines, and I had to keep looking behind me as I was afraid of getting in other's way. I had the Dynamite Ugdog with potato covering and original beef hotdog, and a red bean donut. For the ugdog, on top of the potato covering was a korean sauce and chopped peanuts. The sauce was sweet and spicy (just very mild spice) which was flavorful. The potato covering was thick and too much dough. The sauce helped in chewing and swallowing the thick potato covering. The chopped peanuts added texture and a little flavor to the corn dog. The beef sausage was good but not warm. As for the red bean donut, the filling was plenty and it was proportionate to the dough. The red bean donut was ok, nothing spectacular. As the food is made-to-order, there is definitely some waiting time. So patience is key. Parking is available around the Pearland Town Center. It may be difficult to get a spot during peak hours.

Yelp
Love! Love! Love this place! I was in the area for Barnes and Noble, but my friend and I decided to get some lunch. We decided to stop by here to try the dogs. Upon viewing the menu, we weren't feeling the food. We walked out but talked it over to give it a try. I'm so glad we did. We got the first dog with panko and topped with 3/4 different sauces to try them out. While we sat there being polite sharing the dog, the wheels were turning until I gave in and bought a second one. I forgot to take a pic of the first corn dog. The second one I ordered was the original dog with potato. I did see or understand the vision with those additions, but boy, am I a believer! I was so shocked at the flavor and texture with this dog. I added the sweet chili and spicy mayo sauce to it. Blown away! I will definitely be back. Thankfully, this location, Pearland, is closest to me out of the only two they have. Do yourself a favor and go. You won't regret trying these dogs! Till next time!

Yelp
I have probably been here way more than I should lol but I just love their kdogs. They are perfectly crispy! They are made to order but I have never waited more than 10 minutes for my order. It is a very small shop so don't expect to eat in there.

Yelp
Small walk in shop in the middle of Pearland TownCenter. Not any room to eat inside, but plenty of tables and benches outside. You order from a kiosk and get a numbered ticket and they will call you when your order is ready. There is also mobile ording. It does take abut 10 to 15 minutes for them to cook your food. They have signage that lets you know it will take a minute. Everything looks fresh cooked to order. Ugly donut with cinnamon and sugar: Not a bad tasting donut. It was chewy and warm. I liked the taste and texture. It was a bit smaller than a regular donut, so for $2.50 it was not exactly expensive, but not cheap. Cheddar Mix Ugdog w/ Panko: $6 for a large dog. The sausage inside was smallish and the cheese was very melty. It was odd because there was a bunch of space in-between the sausage and the crust. This is probably from the melting of the cheese and the expansions of the hotdog. However it just made a weird hotdog floating around inside a hull. The sausage was ok, if you like beef hotdogs, it has that beef briny taste. The crust was ok, but honestly I ended up only eating about half of the crust and throwing the rest away. It was just not that awesome to me personally. I think going for just a cheese dog or no cheese dog may be the way to go. The dog I had was ok at best, and for $7 I was hoping for some at least above average. I would say all in all Ugly Donuts is a nice novelty spot to grab a snack while in the town center. I would not go out of my way for the donuts or the Corndogs. I would recommend; however I would personally like to give some other Korean corndog places a try before going back to Ugly Donuts.

Yelp
Delicious! Potatoes half and half with cheese and hotdogs. It was delicious and the straw and cheese filled donut and Nutella was great too. Service is nice you can do kiosk and the workers will start once you finish ordering. Pretty cool. Place is small inside not meant for dine in obviously because after you purchase the food you can stroll and eat around the town center. Overall it's a good stop if you want a snack

Yelp
I feel like the staff knows me when I come in because of how much I come in LOL I always pick up some food from here for me and my sister. Staff is friendly and the place is super clean! Keep it up!

Yelp
I came for a completely different reason but who wouldn't be I intrigued to try a thing called an Ugly Donut. I don't eat corn dogs but I have no prejudice when it comes to donuts, Italian zeppoles, New Orleans or French beignets, Spanish or Mexican style churros, and these babies- the answer is always yes! First things first, know that there's no independent parking lot, you'll need to find a spot in the plaza. Once instead you order from a kiosk in this very intimate space (fits about 10 comfortably). Convenient- I suppose, but I didn't feel comfortable asking for recommendations with the folks behind the counter diligently and frantically fulfilling orders. For me, it took a little while to receive my order but like any fast causal joint, after a bit of patience my number was called and my little fat fried puffs were reward. All 3 of my donuts were diff consistencies/textures. Blueberry- simple. Ugly. Traditional. Delicious filled with real blueberries Cream cheese- what a surprise! Not too sweet, almost not sweet at all. If a bagel and a pastry had a baby this would be it. This one is like the savory cousin of the cheese Danish, the flavors stay separate. Nutella- most traditional. Cooked softer/fluffier than the cream cheese. All 3 piping hot, fresh, and delicious. There's are an expensive boutique treat for sure, but definitely a treat none the less. Don't fear the ugly donut!

Yelp
This is one of the coolest little spots in that Pearland area. The assortment of corn dogs is very creative and the vegan donuts hit the spot. Oh and for you reading, they have a pretty nice arrangement of drinks as well. No alcohol mom Nice quaint location, that's served well after a light shopping. Super friendly staff as well. So, until the next time, Bye-Bye!

Yelp
I wanted to give it 3.5 stars but I rounded up to 4. So first, it is in a tiny building around shopping and finding a parking spot can be a pain. Inside is tiny and the air conditioning wasn't working as well as I would have liked. There is a small touch screen menu where you order. At the time, the credit card machine wasn't working at the screen so I paid at the register. Second, you can customize anything for an up charge. It doesn't bother me, because I want what I want. I got a pizza dog. It was AMAZING! And I also got a mozzarella stick covered in potato and spicy mayo. It was also delicious. No regrets there. However, the donut. *sigh* was not as good. I got a blueberry filled. It had no filling except a couple blue berries that couldn't make it out of the donut. I noticed that the donut was already cooled and they threw it in the fryer. I would have rather had a cold donut with filling than a hot donut with nothing inside. The dough seemed tasty enough. I wanted to order the scallion donut but it was unavailable. It does take like 10-15 minutes depending on how busy they are but they are made to order. The corndogs and cheese stick are tasty. Worth a try if you haven't had Korean corndogs before.

Yelp
A nice busy spot located in the heart of the town center. In regards to the food, the coating was nice and the food was crispy and hot. I got the American dog with panko, spicy Mayo, and honey mustard. FYI the wiener is all beef!!! I recommend everyone try this place because it's really cool and the food was good. Nothing too special about it besides the fact that you order your own food. Be prepared to wait for some time especially if you order several hot dogs.
google avatar

Yelp
If you thinking futuristic and innovative this is the place! It was fun and dynamic, the people here were so friendly and nice. The owner introduced himself and wanted to get to know us. Gave us a FREE drink welcoming first time customers. The ordering process was a little different and a bit confusing at first, but once you got the hang of it...it was pretty straightforward. I thought the food presentation was great and as a collective group we all agreed it was a great atmosphere. The food was good, I guess I expected more flavor with all the signature sauces. All in all I give it a one thumbs up and a 4 star rating.

Yelp
Had to hurry and run in here to say this place was delicious. My first time trying Korean Hotdogs and now I'm in love. This location is in the Pearland Town center, right in the middle of all the stores and entertainment. Cute and straight to the point store. No indoor seating really but a few tables outside. The 2 stools inside is for mostly waiting for the order to be ready. Once you walk in, there are 2 kiosks to order from to the far right. Very user friendly and you pay there too. The shop has multiple signs informing patrons that everything is made to order and fresh so patience is appreciated. Most definitely worth the wait. Your receipt will contain your order number which is called out when ready and also posted above. They will also ask if you will like to add any additional sauce on top. We started off simple with the Mozza Dog combo in planko, Cheddar mix dog combo, and original Ugnut with cinnamon sugar. Everything was hot and fresh. Nicely packaged for us to take on our way. Delicious crunch and that soft melted cheese with the Hotdog was so Savory. I topped mine with some spicy mayo too which was perfect. I ate mine on the way home and regretted it... because I wanted more! My kids thoroughly enjoyed their ugnut. Loved our order and will be back to try their specialties and drinks. Was keeping it simple with time around.

Yelp
We LOVE Ugly Donuts & Corn Dogs!! The space is super small. They have 2 big screens where you can place your orders. They make everything when you place the order. Service was fast and staff were great. It's our 2nd time going here. Both times-- didn't disappoint. Crunchy corndogs and yummy donuts. And their box presentation is always amazing and beautiful packed! It's now one of our go-to's for Korean corndogs and donuts!

Yelp
I'm a little late to the party, but I finally got a chance to try my first Korean Corn Dog. Ugly Donuts and Corn Dogs is a a New York based shop that had one lonesome location down here in the south. When it opened here, the hype was real and I told myself I would wait till it died down. I found myself running some errands at the Pearland Town Center and decided to grab a little snack. I came around lunch on a weekday. It's a tiny little shop located in the heart of the outdoor mall. The place was completely empty when I walked in. The two employees were looked at me and told me to order at the kiosk. The poor customer service of Pearland establishments continue! I looked over the menu and decided to go with what I always see on social media for these types of places. I got the Mozzarella Dog with the Potato topping. Keep in mind everything they have is made to order so expect a wait. I saw them batter and assemble the dog and it was hot and fresh when I got it. They also have a variety of sauces either to go or they can drizzle it on there. I got a spicy mayo to go with mine. At first glance the glizzy creation looked very promising. I took my first bite and had to process everything. The outer coating is a rice flour instead of your normal corn bread batter, so it had a chewy consistency to it. It was also sweet. The potato topping tasted like stale potato chips embedded in the batter. The cheese was melted perfectly and had a mighty fine cheese pull. The beef sausage inside was tasty, but tiny. They put two small pieces inside. The meat to everything else ratio was way off. In this case, size mattered. I washed it down with a mango lemonade, it quenched the thirst, but nothing amazing about it. Overall, I would say my first try of Korean Corn Dogs was just ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, but wouldn't be opposed to checking out more of their menu if the hunger strikes while shopping.

Yelp
The venue/building: Its very tiny. Can get overcrowded very easily. There was 8 ppl in the lobby and there was literally no space. The service: The cashier was a very friendly young man. He was alsp training a new girl. The food The vegan donut was actually pretty good. If I hadnt read the sign, I wouldnt have known it was vegan. My daughter really enjoyed the corn dog. I will day the items are pretty pricey. Like carnival food. $6 for a corndog and $6 for a donut.
google avatar

Alena B.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place after doing some retail therapy. It's a self service place but has staff in there to help you make your order. Funky little spot with corn dogs, donuts, & filled pretzels. Some limited vegan options but we're rooting for more soon! In Pearland shopping center. Check it out!
google avatar

Lakeya W.

Yelp
The food, service and atmosphere were all good. This place seems to be pretty popular and I will definitely return for the sweets moreover the corndog. I tried the pizza dog with cheese inside and the American dog and it just wasn't for me. I had a bit of an issue with the dough and panko together, it was a texture problem. I may try a different dog next time just to be certain. What I can brag about is the donut filled with Nutella, it was delicious!!!
google avatar

Cassie T.

Yelp
This place is busy for no reason. All the donuts and hot dogs I ordered were so greasy it made the dough super soggy. Did not enjoy anything at all. I gave them two stars for having a creative menu
google avatar

Elicia D.

Yelp
While shopping at Pearland Town Center I stopped by the ugly donut and corn dog place for a snack. Such a cute concept in Korean Street Food. There is self service kiosk. I ordered a cheese Corndog Which was cooked fresh to order. It was absolutely delicious. The place is packed, but moved through the line efficiently, workers are nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Had this in NYC. Found out there one in HTX and had to try it out. Order the original x 2. One with sugar & one with cinnamon sugar. They taste pretty similar. Except the cinnamon is little sweeter. Also, tried blubbery stuffed donut. The star is Matcha Green Tea Whipping Dip! Do not forget to add that. The wait can be long. Overall 4/5

Kimari C.

Yelp
Sooo yummy ! Service was fast and friendly. Food was fresh and the ambiance was a vibe (they were playing drake) 10/10 spot !

Yelp
Fun place to visit ... I got the hotdog with fried potatoes , don't get me wrong it was an experience to join but I'm not tooo sure about going back. The line was super long , the establishment was super small and too be honest the staff needs a little more training on customer service .

Yelp
I was excited to see this little shop because I love mochi donuts. I took a quick walk from the Courtyard Marriott to check this out. Mochi donuts are typically Japanese & this was advertised as Korean so I was intrigued. The store is really small. When you walk in, they ask you to order on the machine. There are 2 & you can pay via the machine. I got the original ugnut with sugar & a side of fresh matcha whipped cream. I also ordered the midnight lemonade. It's so pretty which offsets the "ugly" donut. The texture isn't as chewy as a mochi donut but very close. The matcha whipped cream was really good. Overall I enjoyed my little snack.
google avatar

Harley M.

Yelp
These are some of the fluffiest donuts I have had in a LONG time. Not too sweet but just enough to curb a sweet tooth, especially when paired with the house made whip cream. We got the matcha flavor because the black sesame was sold out, but I cannot wait to come back to try it! The crust on the corn dogs was a little sweeter than I expected but paired with the very stringy cheese and sausage it was the perfect pair. They have multiple sauce topping to choose from. The lemonade was made with sparkling soda water which I wasn't expecting, but turned it into the summer drink I was craving in the Texas heat. I do wish there was either seating indoors, or a fan outside but other than that this will be a place I visit from now on when I come to Pearland!

Yelp
So this is my first time trying this place I hsve passed it many time and decided to give it a try. I have tried Korean hot dogs before so I wanted to give the donuts a try. So this is a small cute little place soon as you walk in you go to the right at the kiosk and order your food. I got an original donut , red Bean and cream cheese and blueberry cream cheese. I also tried the house made cream and the black sesame cream. They make them fresh to order. So you ll wait a bit but it's worth it. I loved all the donuts. The red bean was good but it was just a tad bit more filling then I would have liked but I liked it. The cream omg he should bottle that - I could see myself using that on fresh fruit for a snack. Now the black sesame - it was good but I felt it was more savory then paired with a donut. I could see myself eating that with the hot dog , with crackers or something like that. Overall I'm very glad I tried this place I will return to try to hot dogs

Yelp
If you have food allergies for eggs & dairy. Highly recommend getting their ugly donuts. It's soft and crispy like a donut. It does take awhile to make and If it's busy line and you order the cheese dogs your dog may be just sitting cold while waiting for your order of donuts. I like the strawberry cream cheese stuffed donut. The ride dog isn't bag they use less batter ratio. The staff were all so friendly at first on our few visits. But the last visit we were just speechless. We ordered the chocolate whip cream, they have no spoon and my husband asked for a straw to use and refused to give him one. Like how are we suppose to even dip the donut in the whip cream that's so thick to even dip in. On top of that the donut is covered in granulated sugar. I guess bring your own silverware if you plan to get the whip cream dip.

Yelp
I recently tried Ugly Donuts and while it was decent, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Inside the tiny shop has cool kiosks to order your food/ drink. There's a pretty cool interior aesthetic even though it's pretty tight. There was a slight miscommunication with the associate when asked for my condiment selection so we had to wait for a corn dog to be remade which took several additional minutes when the wait was already pretty long The corn dog had a crispy golden brown exterior that crackled with each bike, Kevin way to a moist and savory hotdog center. The ketchup and mustard out of the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavor is the complement of the corn dogs salty notes. Together, the crispy texture and zesty condiments made for a classic unsatisfying snack that did actually hit all the white spots. Overall it was a mediocre experience with some fun street food. I would consider going back to give it another shot.

Yelp
We went in and were confused as to why they weren't taking our order. Another customer told us that we have to place our order at the kiosk. We ordered the pizza, Classic American, and La Mexicana corn dogs and Nutella donut. They had interesting flavors. For drinks, we ordered matcha latte (watery) and midnight lemonade (didn't like).

Yelp
This was my first Korean hot dog experience, and I want to come back. I got the mozza ugdog with potato. The potatoes on the outside were super crispy; there was major cheese pull on the mozzarella; and the honey mustard sauce was yummy. My child got the kids dog, which I believe was alternating cheese and hot dog, and he loved it. My friend got a ugdog that was hot dog and cheese. She was very excited that they alternated cheese-hot dog-cheese-hot dog instead of all cheese followed by all hot dog (which is apparently how Mochinut does it). The inside of the place is tiny; it is just for ordering (no bathrooms or tables). I was not prepared for the only-outdoor-seating situation on this hot July afternoon, but there is a pavilion with seating close by that provided some shade plus powerful fans that created a very nice breeze. We also eventually located some bathrooms across the street from the pavilion that were for the shopping center. If you eat at the tables just outside Ugly Donuts & Corn Dogs, there isn't any shade (those tables aren't part of the pavilion) but there are fountain jets that my son and another child were having a blast running around in (so you might want to come with a towel and change of clothes if your kids are in to splash pad type activities). Main reason I didn't give five stars is I couldn't believe that the lemonade was $5.99 (almost the same price as my mozza ugdog). The midnight lemonade was super pretty - layer of purple, lemon, and sparkling water (though they gave me a heads up to stir it before drinking).

Yelp
Ugly Donuts & Corn Dogs Our very first time visiting Ugly Donuts & Corn Dogs today, Saturday, 7/16/22, here in Pearland Town Center since they opened. Even though the interior of the establishment is really tiny, its location is prime especially during the weekend. At the time of our visit, there was a steady stream of customers coming in and it gets packed really quick!! You order and pay at the kiosks and wait for your ticket number to be called. Current health inspection by the Pearland Health Department (7/6/2022) has a score of 100. As it should be, especially it is new. Food wise... we ordered three (3) kinds of donuts. 1-Nutella filled donut, 1-Original Ugnut, and 1-Strawberry cream cheese donut. It is unfortunately a hit and miss.. 1. The Nutella donut is good, as expected... But it was already COLD. It would have been EVEN better if it was still hot with the Nutella oozing out as you bite into it. 2. The original Ugnut was really good, as it was freshly made and just came out of the deep fryer. The dough was hot, soft and crispy!! 3. Unfortunately, the strawberry cream cheese filled donut was DISAPPOINTING... Although it was also hot and fresh out of the deep fryer, ours barely had any filling and whatever we had barely tasted like the strawberry flavor and cream cheese its suppose to have. For the price of $4.25, it was definitely disappointing and was not worth it. Hopefully their preparation process gets better over time... making sure that all of the donuts are hot and fresh as they are served to the consumers and that their filling is right and just with flavors and quantity, to make their price justifiable and worth. Otherwise, if you are in the Bellaire area "Chinatown", there are other places who serves fried dough that might be better to explore, for now.

Yelp
Ugly Donuts was great! The space is small, the AC didn't seem to be working, and there's only one ordering kiosk, but the food was very much worth it. I had a mozza mix ugdog with potato topping which was fantastic - the mix of mozzarella and hot dog was great. The alternating hot dog and cheese was fun, and the mozzarella was a perfectly stretchy texture. There were lots of potato chunks and the light dusting of sugar made for very tasty contrast. We could see them make this fresh. The ugdogs were also good! We just got the plain ones and they were very tasty, almost like a churro. I'll definitely try a stuffed one in the future. Overall great food, will be back!

Yelp
American corn dog was amazing! It was an all beef wiener topped with crispy onions, relish, onion powder and spicy mayo. It was cooked just right with the perfect crisp. Beware the line was long and they cook it when you order so be prepared to wait. But it's worth it! Grab a dog and sit out at the pavilion.

Yelp
I think this is yet another hippie donut pastry spot. Pearland seems to love those (i.e mochinut, cinnaholic etc). I enjoyed all but the actual corn dog. Got the classic American. It just tasted messy. I loved the cream cheese and red bean filled nuts. The twisted plain nuts was just ok. I'd definitely come back. I think this beats mochinut. One gripe...the wait was a bit long. But I suppose they make em fresh? Final grade: B+

Yelp
Finally had a chance to stop by around 2pm on a weekday. We were the only ones there. Order 2 hot dogs and a donut. Took over 15+ mins and they had 4 workers. How long is the wait when they are busy?? Customer service is not great. They need to work on that. It's a small location with no indoor seating. AC didn't feel like it was working so it was warm. I can see parking would be a pain unless you had errands to do in this plaza. Mozzarella Mix Dog - tasted good and crunchy Cheddar Mix Dog - we saw them used american cheese instead of cheddar cheese Nutella donut - it was hard and not good It is one of those places I may come back if I am in the plaza area for something but wouldn't go back just for them. Prices already jump up almost 20-30% since opening recently. A bit higher than most Korean hot dogs places.

Yelp
The corn dogs preparation isn't their best. Lack of knowledge. Even though service is good, food presentation is not.

Yelp
There were four of us, so we had to wait for a while for the food to be made. But the food made the wait, worth it. They have premium ugdogs and or ugnuts. Didn't try the the donuts. But I highly recommend the gauc and pizza ugdogs. Don't like meat? You have have it filled with either cheese or a mix between hot dog and cheese. Plus you have plako or potato toppings and I think about 6 different sauces you can add to them. It's right in the middle of the Pearland town mall so the atmosphere is pretty great. Seriously, in the area? Try it!

Yelp
Starting with how welcoming the staff was as the door slid open I was welcomed. Right away I saw the stands to order super easy and self explanatory. I did not mind that a person didn't take my order because as soon as my order came in their system they were on it. The cleanliness of the facility just makes you feel so eager to enjoy what they are prepping for you. I ordered the strawberry milk donut it's stupid how delicious it is. The combo mozza mix ugdog was layered cheese sausage cheese sausage loved every bite and the potatoes very crispy and delicious.

Yelp
The concept is nice. I wasn't impressed by this one but I still think it's worth a try because you might like it. I'm not crazy about corn dogs but I love a good donut. Being a native Houstonian you already know who has the donut game on lock!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for so long and I'm so happy I finally was able to. The donut was amazing, cream to donut ratio was good. I think my favorite thing was that instead of most Korean corn dog places when you get sausage and cheese it's just half and half; Ugly Donuts & Corn Dogs does layers of that makes sense lol. So it's like cheese, sausage, cheese, sausage LOL anyway, definitely a 10/10 in my book!

Yelp
Warm and freshly made, that being said there is a wait time for your orders, which is understandable for the quality of the food. I love that the donut creams are not that sweet. The service crew are polite and welcoming. The place is a little tiny and squished but theres seating outside the shop.

Yelp
I give it three stars for the creativity and the actual batter and crunch was delicious. I got the Mexican one and a regular panko cheese dog for my toddler. Impressive looking but I was really disappointed at the hotdog to breading ratio. There was half a tiny hotdog inside, and it tasted like one giant mozzarella stick with a sweet crunchy outside. The corn dog looked huge. I expected at least a full sized hot dog inside for the price. Staff was friendly, sauces were delicious.

Yelp
It's a shit show here. Food may be good but they don't know what's going on and clueless. Waited over 30 min for a donut.

Yelp
First time trying it yesterday and it was a 10/10 experience, the food was so good and fresh, that cheese pull on the corn dog??? So good! The service was so friendly and informative she helped me decide which sauces were good with my corn dog! I definitely will have my family try it out as well!
