Yelp
Kaiser Gateway has been wonderful for my children. Dr. John Anderson is thorough, friendly, knowledgeable, works together with my family as a team. He always remembers us as well. Unfortunately, Kaiser providers for myself haven't been good lately. All of the good providers I have seen have moved on. Two providers at Gateway failed to properly diagnose my injuries after a motor vehicle accident. They refused to manage my pain properly and although Kaiser responds to reviews, in my experience, they don't follow through on the follow up. The front desk staff are great, the lab folks are nice, and most pharmacy staff are good too. In my experience, your care at Kaiser depends on your provider. You can file a grievance with Kaiser but they NEVER find themselves of any wrongdoing, even when it's clear they were wrong.

Yelp
Kaiser Permanente is a complete joke! Dr Uhng-Choon Shim is an incompetent physician! She didn't even have the decency to call my father to tell him he was diagnosed with cancer after struggling for 3 years to even get this diagnosis through Kaiser Permanente. He found out by reading it on his online chart. I'm appalled and disgusted by Dr. Shim. My father has been in pain and Dr. Shim labeled him a drug seeker and all along he's had cancer! She made a chart note stating his weight loss and anorexia was because of the use of pain medications and to take vitamins. This is how idiotic she is, how does she even have a medical license. I have nothing but time and will be turning her into the board and writing every review possible about how unethical she is! Her and her entire staff! Kaiser is everything that is wrong with our healthcare system!!

Yelp
Excellent healthcare. My doctor was ope-minded and listened to my issues and acted on them quickly.

Yelp
I had an interaction with 3 different staff members at the pharmacy and all 3 were cold and seemed like they hated being there. If you hate your job, leave. But don't make the company look bad with how you treat your members. Did not feel cared for at all in this location whereas other locations, the staff is very warm and friendly.

Yelp
Wow, I've visited this brand new medical clinic a couple times now and am thoroughly impressed. It's a really beautiful, modern clinic with a bright & colorful interior design, and lots of natural light that make it feel far more open and inviting than your average doctor's office. Their services include primary care physicians (internal medicine, family practice, and pediatrics), as well as pharmacy, lab, nurse treatment room, and imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, and EKG). They also have a nice secured outdoor waiting area in the back where you can bask in the sun and play bocce ball or eat your lunch, if you so desire. The only downside is that they're only open weekdays (Monday-Friday), so you have to go to the other clinics for weekend services.

Yelp
After having a bad experience with my last primary care Dr at Kaiser, I went to the Portland Clinic for several years. However, I decided to recently switch back to Kaiser because all of my specialists are there. Dr. Sasha Mallett couldn't have been kinder or more thorough. She immediately put me at ease. I feel very good in her hands!

Yelp
I had been going to a Family Practice Doctor at Rockwood Kaiser for a few years, I developed some issues that needed more attention. One of our clients who works at Gateway suggested Dr. Dexter, an Internist there, she was so sweet and helpful, she arranged my first appointment and took care of making him my PCP. Dr. Dexter is WONDERFUL, I feel so much better now, being in his care. The staff at Gateway are all very sweet and professional, this is now my go to office.

Yelp
Kaiser is not patient centric. They are strictly about the bottom line. Most doctors there are straight out of medical school. Went to get our flu shots in 2017 and found out they use the trivalent rather than the quadrivalent. Since I work in the medical field, I can tell you it is because it is much cheaper however, less effective. Go figure. I am trying to find a new doctor within Kaiser as the current one I choose is "like" so not mature. Yes, she says "like" a lot. Makes me feel "like" I am at some high school treck meet. I am "like" so over it with Kaiser. We are signing up for BC next open enrollment. Done with Kaiser, never looking back. Addendum: Elizabeth: I cant believe you would ask me for my HRN. Thats privileged and private even if you do work for Kaiser. Let it suffice to say that I am a Kaiser patient. There is nothing you can do or say to sway my opinion.

Yelp
Never was a great facility just adequate and then having to work with membership services to get my records sent to the new primary care doctor was hell. The woman who works in membership services likes to say she's helpful at the same time belittle you - very disappointing, when all I was asking for was what I deserved the first time I had requested my records - finally after four requests let's hope I get them successfully sent to my new primary doctor .

Yelp
I'm thrilled this location opened!! I have had wonderful service here. My wait time is minimal for labs, pharmacy and general medical appointments. The staff has been friendly & professional.

Yelp
BIG FAT LIAR! i needed an xray for my chiropractor, so we can fix my back that keeps causing me problems. i saw my doctor for a routine exam, and he informed me i can get the images burned to a disc so i can take them directly to my chiropractor. he stated "its no problem, if you have any issues let me know". When i finally got in to have the x rays the 2 people working in imaging told me that i needed the radioligyst to view them first, and they don't even have the ability to burn a disc for me. i signed the form so a disc would arrive for pickup th that location in about a week. 2 weeks later still nothing. i called member services to search for it and there was no record of it in the system. she then called to gateway kaiser to see why they are unable to burn images on discs for patients and found out the can and do, and the lead tech told her he had no clue why i was told that they could not and don't. she called me back to tell me they are burning the images to a disk as we speak and i could pick it up anytime. i went in later that day to get the disk, and the tech who came out to give it to me was the same extremely obese woman who told my they couldn't burn me a disc. i could tell she recognised me immediately as she came out. i asked her if it had just arrived today in the mail knowing she just burned it, and she replied yes. i was really going to let her have it, but instead i went to member services to file a complaint. i have been a kaiser customer for 37 years now. i didn't realize they employed people that would for no reason cause care delaying problems for the very patients they are employed serve at the best of their ability. its open enrollment season, and i might just switch because of this. p.s. F*** you Wendy at kaiser imaging gateway on 102nd ave in Portland, OR

Yelp
I have been using this location for some time and am generally happy with all the departments I have visited. I was shocked at how low gateway's ratings were. I have had good, fast service and courteous treatment in both the lab and pharmacy. And I love my doctor and her team.

Yelp
This year, I decided to go pay a bit more on my premium and choose KP as my provider. Man, I'm not impressed at all. You think that since your insurance company and the clinic you go to have the same name, they can easily tell you how much do you have to pay out-of-pocket for a simple/yearly blood work, right? NO. I told the doctor that I have nothing to be concerned about my health and everything looks normal when they check my heart rate and blood pressure. But when I went to the front desk to ask how much I have to pay for a blood work, she couldn't tell me squat. She even said that she's been doing this for "years", which makes it worse. So, insurance with it's own lab and clinic, can't tell me nothing. Seriously? I understand if it's like Anthem or other insurance company where they don't own their own clinic/hospital. But if you can't tell me a simple thing like this, I'd rather take my business somewhere else.

Yelp
The worst pharmacy I have EVER dealt with. I have a seizure disorder and was denied one of my medications today even after the doctor wrote the prescription for me to pick up that day, they said it was early and gave me a million excuses, yelled at me, belittled me, and power struggled with the doctor. Get a life!! Just because you hate your life and job doesn't mean you can take it out on patients! Pharmacy staff=a bunch of thugs!

Yelp
My doctor here was definitely determined to get me to show up for unneeded appointments, just to cash in on me as much as possible. I showed up for one thing, and the dr said she couldn't handle what I showed up, and needed to refer me out to a psychiatrist, but that I would need to come 2-3 more times just to get the referral. Which I can say is not normal. Then she said she needed to run an MRI for spots in my vision (I'm 25) that started when I got a birth control shot, and then changed her mind and said I needed to see ophthalmology.....when I wear contacts and get my eyes checked regularly. So I went to see a different dr, who took care of the issue, and it has nothing to do with my eyes. So based on the fact that I saw another person complain about the same exact thing, I would just rather die on my couch than to be "helped" by a dr here. Ill end up dying anyways because they McDreamy me, and are more concerned about their wallet than helping me. (Grey's anatomy reference where the Drs let Patrick Dempsey's character die because they were too stupid to give him an MRI.)

Yelp
New to Oregon and picked up Kaiser insurance. This place was great. Got there 25 minutes early and was seen within 3 minutes of sitting in the waiting room. My doctor, Dr. Patel was awesome. Very kind and actually seemed interested in what I had to say. Was very polite and accommodating. Gave me a quick check up then very thoroughly answered all my questions and concerns. She treated me with the upmost respect and I'm happy to know I will be dealing with her in the future. Also had blood work done and my phlebotomist was very good. She was super friendly and was to talk to. Happy to know this will be my doctors office for long to come!

Yelp
Really bad experience today: Came in for a physical and to address a couple of other basic concerns and left with a 9min talk from physician about not having enough time to cover everything. I was early for my appointment. I spent a total of 5mins with MA and 9mins with MD for the 1hr 15mins I was there. To top it off, forced into another appointment and another copy to cover my initial ask for a physical. Not happy right now.
