Once you do find this Holland Park basement, after overshooting the silver plaque by the stairwell a few times, you’ll be met by its matriarch: equal parts loving and no-nonsense. No, she shan’t be bringing the cutlery over to you. It’s by the bar. This is not a restaurant. This is much more than that. It's a community centre, a place of congengration and refuge. But the food it serves is of restaurant quality. It is home cooking done every well. Loved the gentle borscht, the exquisite dumplings and this layered chicken liver pate lasagne type dish that was heavenly rich. Shall come back for more, and maybe even learn a thing or two about Ukrainian culture.

Amazing place with good atmosphere, food was great, same with drinks! Not to mention prices are very reasonable too. Special thanks to Svitlana our host that day, she is very welcoming and positive, we had a great time.

I’ve been there a couple of times, the menu it’s quite simple, it has authentic an Ukrainian & Easter European cuisine, prices are quite affordable considering other similar places, a helpful staff always ready to help you and serve, the only downside is that’s really missing there, they have no on tap beer, you still can purchase a bottle of beer though it won’t be the same experience.

A lovely place that organises events and acts as a support hub. The eatery offers nice, home-made food and friendly service at affordable prices. The borshch was alright, but the cabbage rolls were great. During a busy time I'd probably recommend booking a table to ensure you get a place in the room where there's the bar (the other room around the corner is less cosy). You can get take-away too. I'll come back to try more dishes :)

Amazing hidden gem where you can try Ukrainian traditional dishes cooked in a homemade style exactly as Ukrainians eat at home. They also have amazing Ukrainian ‘nalyvka’ which is a liqueur made of cherry. Everything was Delicious!

Cheap good quality Ukrainian vodka at the bar. And the food at the Eurovision party was amazing and low priced, I loved their perogies / vareniki!!!
