"Ultimate BBQ, a new Indian restaurant specializing in grilled meats and tandoori-fired entrees, has officially opened its doors in Irving. The restaurant quietly debuted at 6421 Riverside Drive in Irving late last week, bringing the city a brand new destination for Indian-style barbecue, biryani, vegetarian dishes, dosas, and more. As its name might indicate, fire plays a particularly important role at Ultimate BBQ, seen in the expansive menu of dishes cooked in clay pots in the tandoori and Indian barbecue plates. Diners can look forward to dishes like paneer tikka and pomfret cooked in clay pots and fish tikka grilled on the tandoor. As far as the barbecue is concerned, grilled proteins like za’atar spiced lamb chops, jumbo prawns in chili sauce, and masala chicken cakes will be on offer. On the vegetarian side of the menu, find vegetarian korma, palak paneer, and tomato pappu. Dosas, a variety of biryani with various proteins, and desserts like ice cream round out the massive menu. An application filed with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission indicates that it has applied for a permit to serve alcohol, which means that a cocktail menu could be coming soon. Ultimate BBQ is now open for lunch from 11:30 to 2:30 Tuesday through Thursday, and reopens from 5:30 to 10 p.m. for dinner service. Fridays and Saturdays, it’s open from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m." - Amy McCarthy

Heard about the place on Funasia Radio ads and got intrigued by their menu and options. Being a vegetarian typically take a back foot on going to places with “barbecue” in its name. Right at the onset when we entered the restaurant , were welcomed by Shubham who took utmost care to get us seated in our reserved spot We were a party of 12 and had made reservations . Ambience was awesome, and so were the seats which were very comfortable . We hit it off with the starters first, and were pleased to see veggie tandoor options Dilliwali Paneer, Paneer Kurkura fry as well as the spring rolls for the kids. All of the dishes were awesome, specifically the kurkura paneer was a whiff of fresh air ! We liked the Dilliwali paneer so, reordered . Given the large group, our entree choices were long, but highlights were Tawa Veg Biryani, Paneer sashlik, Paneer Pepper fry, All varieties of bread, but specifically liked Onion Kulcha and Garlic Naan. Kids loved the Veg Fried Rice and the bowl was clean before we blinked !! Some of the pictures are included. One last thing , kids loved the masala French fries as part of the starters and should be on your list to try. Overall, the service by Shubham and the food were both awesome, and will be a place we foresee going back again !!

Ambience: 5/5 Great ambience to be. Service: 5/5 Quick service Food: Veg- 3/5 we had pepper baby corn starter, it was was extremely hot and spicy. Will appreciate the Manchurian, was lovely. Veg noodles were not good :( Liked the North Indian food( kofta n roti) Non veg - 5/5 chicken lollipop was the winner. Chicken garlic noodles were also good.

We were here yesterday for dinner and it was recommended by one of our friend for it's tandoori or bbq food but I would say we were were not impressed by their preparation. We ordered paneer tikka and Patiala kadi paneer I guess. Paneer tikka was okay but not up to the mark as it was suggested by our friend and kadhai paneer was like vegetables and paneer or cottage cheese was just boiled for a moment with tomato sauce and stir fried the same. Both dishes lacks flavours. The most annoying thing of this restaurant that the mosquitoes and flies we have seen flying around our seat. We definitely not going to come again

Experience was not good. The staff was unable to manage the crowd. Foods were not refilled. Few of the food didn’t have ample salt for taste. Non veg was nice.

Really high quality Indian food. I have been to many in the area and this place consistently has food that appears to have been made from scratch. Really friendly staff who will explain items if you don't know what they are. Many options for Veg and non-veg. The Thali is a very good deal! Certain dishes can be a little spicy if you are not use to it. Good ambiance too.

Am not ready even to give one star. I am very regular visitor to this restaurant. we took a take out and the food was pathetic. we ordered Kadai panner and Butter Nan. They gave plain naan instead of butter naan. I called up the restaurant by the time it was closed. I called up next day. the guy in the restaurant he is saying i need to call immediately when the food was not good and carry to the restaurant i told him i tried to call no one picked up and restaurant closed. He knows me very well. I go almost once in a week. I got irritated. I told food pathetice over cooked and no salt and paneer was not soft. Please value the money you give better food for the money what you are charging. worst experience and worst response from the restaurant. I will never visit again. Paneer was too roasted and it was soggy and NAAN was totally burnt.
