A special place to go for dinner and after dinner. Lovely atmosphere. Great place and exceptional service. Food is outstanding 👌 to perfection . We ordered one of the best Turkish wine Urla red wine Nero d'Avoli . A big wine and exceptional year 2022 93/100 . The rib eye dry aged medium with salad artichokes and asparagus. Potatoes and mushrooms 🍄 😋 👌. Price very reasonable. 260 Euros per couple including wine. 110 euros for the wine 75 euros per person for the food. Maybe expensive for Barcelona. But very reasonable for Istanbul. I will come again next time I visit Istanbul. You can also order Raki and mezze with kebab and pay for 2 people 5000 turkish lira

Average Food, Dishonest Prices: They Tricked Us Rating: 1 out of 5 Stars I recently visited Ulus 29 with my friend. The restaurant looked nice, but the main dishes we ordered were only average I really didn't enjoy them much. However, the worst part of the visit was the way they handled the bill. We felt tricked and very disappointed by all the hidden and extra charges. 🍽️ The Side Dish Trick The biggest problem started with the side dishes. When we ordered our main meal, the server asked us, "Would you like the salad or the fries with your steak We thought this meant one side dish was included in the price of the main course, which is normal at many restaurants. When the final bill arrived, we were shocked. They had charged us full price for both of the side dishes. The server's wording was clearly designed to trick us into ordering extra food without knowing we'd have to pay for it separately. Extra Things We Didn't Ask For The dishonest charges didn't end there: 1. Unordered Avocados: We were charged for avocados in the salad that we absolutely did not order .This unauthorized charge was unacceptable. 2. Hidden Table Fee: There was also a charge for "Table Service" 250 Turkish liras for every person at the table. This fee was never mentioned by the staff, the host, or written clearly on the menu. Final Thoughts The restaurant’s business practices are completely dishonest. The food was only average, but the bill was outrageous due to the multiple hidden fees and unrequested items we ended up paying 11,000 tl . Customers should not have to fight the staff to get an honest bill. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone because of the confusing service and the dishonest pricing.

Exceptional bartender at Ulus 29. The bartender impressed me with outstanding professionalism, perfect cocktail balance, and excellent attention to detail. Every drink was prepared with precision, creativity, and top-quality ingredients. Friendly, attentive, and highly knowledgeable, he elevated the entire experience. One of the best bartenders I’ve encountered. Highly recommended.

Ulus 29 is an outstanding fine dining restaurant! The staff are incredibly professional and friendly, providing exceptional service. Super excellent food and service! Our waiter was so professional and polite. All staff are super trained. The food is delicious and made with perfection. Very fancy trendy restaurant in Istanbul. You even see famous Turkish actors and actresses in this restaurant. Absolutely a must to visit in Istanbul!

We had dinner at this restaurant during our stay in Istanbul, and we can confidently say it was an exceptional experience. The food is simply exquisite, with dishes carefully prepared using high-quality ingredients. The real highlight was the dessert—a 100% delight that completely won us over! But what made the evening even more special was the impeccable service. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind, always attentive and caring. A special thanks to Barish, a truly kind, helpful, and warm-hearted person. He made us feel at home with a warmth that we will not easily forget. We are from Naples, and we know what true hospitality feels like—here, we found it! Thank you for this wonderful experience; we will definitely be back.

Delicious mixed appetizer platter. Fresh Guacamole dip. Amazing spaghetti & 1kg Lobster but you don’t have to get 1kg since it’s a bit pricey (ask price before you order). Perfect Beef Tenderloin. Great service and even greater view overlooking Istanbul skyline.

I was disappointed with my experience. The food quality was well below average. The chicken was poorly marinated and extremely bitter, making it inedible. The seafood pasta was also disappointing, the pasta tasted overly floury and lacked flavor. On top of that, the electricity went out multiple times during our visit. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

Food was great. We had the asparagus soup. And salmon entree. Both delicious. Breath taking view and very cool music. Loved it. Will come back.

Fun experience with good music, subpar service and an eclectic menu. Out of the limited local selection we opted for their koftas and they were sublime. The view is to die for but in the fall and winter it can be a little cold. Listen to the music, it is a DJ playlist combining local Turkish and international dance music that will have you hopping in your table.

Amazing! Beautiful views. Service was great. Beat short ribs I have ever had. Other menu items we ordered were sea bass, burata, crispy shrimp and risotto. All delicious.

Views and atmosphere are out of this world. Really nice setting in the hills above Istanbul. Took my daughter here for a nice dinner. Went with corn frittatas which were sweet and tasty. Also an order of guacamole which was better than we expected. Mains were steak which went over well and I got a mixed kebab with meatballs and steak. Quite good though I did prefer the meatballs. Side of truffle fries were awesome. Bitter chocolate soufflé for desert May have been the star of the show. Super good. Had some Turkish red wine made from the local grape which was solid. Just a few tips. It can be cold even in summer, and windy. So bring a sweater. They will give you a shawl if you forget and there are heat lamps but better to not be chilly. Also they allow smoking (and usually there is a lot of smoking going on) so you have to deal with the smoke and bits of ashes whipping around the table. After dinner they will call you a cab to head on home. Check it out!

Don't want to be unfair, but this place who shows an amazing view of beautiful Istanbul is kind of overrated, I was advised to go while visiting which by the way I selected to share my birthday celebration with family and friends, I was surprised when waiter approached our table with desert for me to blow candles, make wishes and .... Sad part, when I saw they charged me for this never ordered dessert, couldn't believe it, to my claim waiters showed not concern, so guess I paid of course, please be aware. Funny part, "the Ravioli dish " I will never forget the little Shrimp eyes looking at my friend coming out from the pasta, what make you laugh is never bad !!

Not only was the view amazing, but the food itself was some of the most amazing food I've ever had both in taste and presentation. I still have dreams about the steak sometimes.

Gorgeous restaurant, attentive staff, great food. The view from here is spectacular. Make a reservation in the summer time and ask for the terrace so you can enjoy eating outside overlooking the city. If it's too cold, make sure to request a window table! We tried all the lamb dishes for entrees. The best by far was the rack of lamb. It was melt-in-your-mouth heavenly. The others were good too, but that one was as good as it gets. Try the Turkish wine and a few mezzes. Everything we had here was delicious.

Dining at Ulus 29 was difficult for us. On the one hand, the view, food, and service were impressive. On the other hand, the menu was so ridiculously overpriced as to take an otherwise 4.5 star review down to a solid 3. The difficulty was seeing people eat such overpriced food in a city with immense wealth inequality. The menu itself is so expansive as to be almost confusing. Traditional Turkish dishes, classical French/Italian cuisine, plus sushi? That said, everything was very good to excellent and I have no complaints. Great food. But the prices! They must be using solid gold bricks in the oven....$35-$60 US for entrees is really inexcusable in a country where I can get a fantastic Turkish dinner for $5 US. The wine list too was expansive and even more pricey than the menu. Wines ranged from ~$50 US for the lowest end Turkish wines to upwards of $1500 US. Average bottle was probably around $300 US. That's just silly. Bottom line: You can do much, much better in Istanbul for the money. If money is no issue, it's worth a visit.

Our visit to Ulus 29 was very nice, the views are spectacular, service was Excelent, food was good but not as I expected, prices I thought were not bad for a restaurant of its kind. Overall I was pleased with my visit, e had a group of 5 and we tried the meatballs for appetizer they were excellent, I had for main dish the Cafe D" Paris good but I'be had much better, my husband had the track of lamb and he liked them but also have had better, or friends had the sea bass and it was OK but nothing to rave about. If you ask me I will go to Ulus again just because of the views and the service

For those who love dining in a classy restaurant, Ulus 29 is an ideal choice. Great Bosphorus view, stylish decoration, attentive waiters and tasteful menu. Also one of unrivalled night club in the city. Come here early to have a cocktail and enjoy the amazing view. On the other hand it is overpriced considering the tiny portions.

What a beautiful view of Istanbul! We had a great table and a very outstanding dinner of Peking duck ! It was our fancy dinner of the trip and nicely surprised with the decor , location
