14 Brand-New Montreal Terrasses to Check Out This Summer

"Boiling down a country as remarkably diverse as Indonesia into one encompassing cuisine is tough, but Uluwatu takes a fine stab. Enjoy dishes like Sumatran rendang (slow-cooked beef with bean paste and green chili), cumi goreng sambal gami (fried calamari with roasted shallots, chili, garlic, and shrimp paste) and vegan-friendly lontong sayur (coconut milk soup with rice cakes and tofu) while seated on its terrasse, on a small, tree-lined Outremont street." - Joel Balsam

10 Montreal Restaurants Offering Delivery - Eater Montreal

"For great Indonesian food, which isn’t so easy to come by in the city, Outremont’s newest restaurant, Uluwatu, is definitely worth a (takeout) visit. But for anyone who can’t make it there in person, they’ve got their own drivers ready to deliver their delicious creations, like Soto Betawi, a soup with diced beef short ribs and vegetables, originating from Jakarta." - Yara El-Soueidi

Delicious food and great service from one of the co-owners, we even got a free dessert on the house which was very sweet. My favorite was the rendang, wow! Will definitely come back, a new gem addition to Outremont!

Had a great family dinner here tonight with attentive service and delicious food. We ordered 2 prix fixe dinners and added a few extra skewers for 4 adults and 2 kids. We were stuffed in the end and the 2 desserts in the end was just enough for 6 of us.

I had the vegan Lontong Sayur. It was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the chewy rice cakes and the creamy coconut stew. The tofu in it was particularly delicious and the black beans and corn surprised me! I hope they think of adding more vegan options in the future because I’d definitely order them. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of were little chips that came with the dish which I found a bit bitter.

Came here last night for dinner with my parents and boyfriend and wow it was delicious. The pandan iced tea with lychee, two orders each of the vegan main dishes, roti canai and fried bananas with chocolate sauce. Our favorite was the warm salad with the most incredible fried tempeh and lemongrassy peanut saute sauce. The roti was super flaky, the coconut curry was rich and flavourful and the ice tea was refreshing and floral. We couldn't stop raving about the meal and can't wait to return.

Unique home food. Ambiance is very simple and cozy. Nice place to discover something new. Bit pricey, but they must put a lot of time in food preparation (or it felt that way to me!)

Indonesian dishes use a lot of coconut milk , pepper , cloves, curry and other spice seasoning . steam rice with coconut milk , smell so good, large portion , and full of stomach.

Duck was very very dry. After seeing the amazing reviews online, we decided to order the whole entire duck for delivery and regrettably, the best part of it was the sides and coconut rice. Flavor was certainly there for the rice, but the duck was on the salty side and the biggest offender was how dry and tough it was. Our home dinner turned into a jaw exercise activity sadly. The Rhum cream dessert was good to be fair, and was the only saving grace of the evening. Expected better for the price. Maybe worth it in store.
