Uma House by Yurbban South Beach

We were thrilled with our stay at Uma House! I travel a lot and am extremely picky about where I stay because I want to be comfortable (clean room, comfortable bed, good amenities), and I want to feel safe. I almost passed Uma house up because the rates were so much lower than other comparable places - I thought there might be something wrong with it. I hit the jackpot with this place. Fantastic location, very safe and clean (no unpleasant odors in the room - I can’t stand musty rooms or ones that stink of cleaning products), bright sunny room, the employees were friendly and helpful, and we LOVED the amenities. Beautiful rooftops on each building, a great pool lounge area, great views, discounts at the restaurant in the sunrise building, free beach chairs at Boucher brothers, and they stored our bags for us after we checked out. In a few of the reviews I read before booking, people complained about not being able to open windows. The room is very well ventilated and it is hot and humid as heck outside, so I don’t know why anyone would want to open their window anyway. A note for the hotel - it would be great if there were more hooks for hanging beach towels and regular towels. I put one of my employees up in a room at the hotel as well and she thought it was fantastic. We both plan to stay at Uma again if we find ourselves in Miami Beach.

My friend and I had a great stay at Uma House Hotel. Pear, the receptionist, was absolutely lovely during our check-in. She was so kind and welcoming. We arrived early in the morning and they were able to accommodate us with an early check-in, which was such a huge help and really set the tone for our trip. The hotel is small but perfect for two girls. It felt super safe, very cute, and honestly perfect for taking photos. The room was more spacious than we expected, which was a nice surprise. Even though our room was in the building next to the main reception area, it was still very much a part of everything and didn’t feel disconnected at all. We stayed for three nights and housekeeping came each night to make our bed, which was a really nice touch. The rooftop has beautiful circular beds available for all guests, and the pool area, although small, was quiet and peaceful during the afternoons. Our stay included two beach chairs located about three blocks away, which was super convenient. Even after we checked out, the hotel stored our luggage and still allowed us to use the beach chairs, which was amazing. We booked through Booking.com with no issues, but just keep in mind there is still a resort fee charged separately. Another bonus was the discount at Café Americano, just down the block, which we were able to use simply by staying at the hotel. Plus, Lincoln Road was so easy to get to by walking—it made exploring and shopping super convenient. Overall, we had such a fun, easy, and relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend!

This place is beautiful and in a really great location. The staff were really friendly and try to make your vacation very pleasent. Just be ware that it’s two different buildings so one building has the gym and the other one has the roof top pool. The beach is walking distance and you get offered two chairs per room but you have to pay extra for the umbrella. The room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant on the corner offers 10% off to Uma guests and was absolute delicious.

Great hotel naar Miami Beach. Hotel staff was very friendly and proactive. Beds are quite small (1.50cm in new building and 1.30 in the old building) and there are only 3 rooms with two Queen beds. Swimming pool and roof terrace are great to relax in the afternoon and evening, when sun goes down. Biggest improvement can be made by housekeeping. Day 2 they forgot to clean and on the other days we received to little towels. Also, the extra duvet/blanket we requested was gone after day 3. Besides larger beds this would be my biggest suggestion for improvement. Last tip do not book breakfast, you will get a limited card of Cafe Americano which is far overprised

This looks like a European hotel 3* maximum. Of course there are no slippers, robes, toothbrushes. The windows do not open. The neighboring windows are exactly opposite, 5 meters away. The furniture looks cheap. The bathroom is not bad, but the ventilation does not work well and the mirror quickly fogs up. There is no balcony, there is no heated towel rail in the bathroom. How to dry clothes after the beach??! There is a private beach, but an umbrella is for an additional fee. Of course, I expected more for $ 240 per day without breakfast. But the US is not Europe - there is a lot of bad quality for a lot of money. Having lived here for a few days, I want to say that the hotel is quite good in terms of price-quality ratio. Everything works well in the room.and the owners try to make the guests' stay enjoyable. There are happy hours when guests are offered coffee and wine for free, there is a nice rest and relaxation area on the roof. Friendly staff. In any case, thank you for the stay!

Our trip sadly started off with a flight delay, so we tried many times to reach out to the hotel via phone. Their phone line kept dropping the call so we used their WhatsApp chat, where we spoke to Fabiola who was very kind. This was somewhat helpful, but it wasn’t communicated among the hotel staff that we were arriving the next day. So when we ended up arriving very early the next morning, we were told our room was not ready and we would have to wait 6 hours for check in. After a long day of travel, we were looking forward to a shower and a room but were given no options. |Randolph and Pear were assisting us during this time for about 45 minutes, as no supervisor was available. After they sent us away advising us to return later, we had considered leaving the hotel altogether. However, Pear saw us outside and told us that she would check one more thing. Come to find out, our room was ready the whole time but the note on our profile didn't properly specify our situation. All in all, Pear and Randolph eventually helped us resolve the situation which we were very thankful for. |We later spoke to Lucia and requested to speak with the manager to request a refund for one day, given that we arrived the next day. She was kind enough to relay this message to the supervisor, and granted our request. |The staff was very accommodating during these complex situations, however I think there is a lack of communication among them. |The location was good, close to the convention center and close to some of the main streets. |The room itself was moderately clean, with some stains observed on the sheets and some red stains that resembled blood on some of the pillows. |The pool area was in a different building but was nice, and they provided towels which was great. We enjoyed the free wine hour and met some other hotel guests who also enjoyed their stay. |Thank you Uma House for your hospitality!

We loved our stay at uma house! Champagne when you check in! Happy hour at the pool was the best! Pear and. Dianelis Dario were so helpful at the front desk when we had questions about valet and the beach! Had the best time! The room was very clean and modern. The view from the room was just the other building, but rhe rooftop pool view was great!

5 times in Miami , the last 2 in this Hotel. Honestly I'm not going to search other options the next time in Miami either 😀. ||Everything was as expected, the location, the room , the high cleaning standard, the friendly staff, Dario making really good cocktails and conversation in the pool, the breakfast in the Cafe Americano..everything.||Some things as improvement, but in a cool way! 😉 |- The headboards of the poolbeds should be fixed to the beds.|- A couple of more umbrellas would be nice because only the half of the beds have shade. So sometimes 2 people use 2 beds.|- Please NO balls in the pool. It is a small pool with a super nice vibe.|,music,etc. It is amazing for couples and families, but the 2 balls in the pool are a terrible error in my opinion, because sometimes the adults are worse than the kids playing annoying 😑. ||Thanks so much |I hope to see you again soon
