Walking in you are greeted with unique decorations and printouts of items from the menu. What's nice is that they have an open salad bar that you can use as much as you like. The prices seemed very reasonable to me. Unfortunately, I was not too impressed with the food. While it was good, it was not amazing. There was nothing that really stood out in my dish and it was quickly forgotten as soon as I left the store. If you are craving some Japanese food and don't want to dish out a lot for it, this place has you covered. Just don't expect out of the world flavors.

I love eating here. The staff immediately greets you when you come in. You get a warm towel to clean your hands. The people that waited on us were so friendly. The food was delicious as always. The atmosphere was excellent. There are still so many things I want to try. I'll definitely be back.

The main reason to come to Umacanon is that you want to taste authentic Japanese food in reasonable price. Exceptional food and services. More than 25 small dishes to share and all tasty. Excellent fried chicken and sashimi set. Best fried shishamo fish ever. I really don't see any inexpensive and really good restaurant like this place anymore. Highly recommend to call for reservations.

We got here at a perfect time because it flooded by the time dinner rolled around. We had no reservations, which is okay but they only seat you when your complete party is present. The food was delicious and we will definitely come back to try everything else. I would say the beef tongue was delicious as well as the Crunchy Shrimp roll. Don't forget to save room for the green tea cheesecake!

A really nice Japanese restaurant. The Maguro, grilled Makaro, and the chicken thigh are so delicious. The green tea moji is the dessert most surprise me. I though it will be a hard-chewing feeling, but there is ice cream in it! That is just so good. I will definitely recommend to my friends and I will come back next time.

Beware portion. Some of them were large enough to serve more than 2 people especially okonomiyaki. The price is excellent compared to the size of dish.

Definitely try their grilled seafood and salmon or tuna avovado bowl! I really like this place, not a full 5 but really close. The seafood is fresh and flavors strong. Been a few times and never been disappointed. I usually eat the grilled seafood as an appetizer for two. It's savory and buttery, really good! The scallops are smaller but have a chewy side portion that I really enjoy. The salmon bowl is tasty and not heavy, although it does have a LOT of rice. I usually don't like tuna but the tuna avocado salad is fresh and the flavors work well. I haven't had much luck with their meats. But their fried chicken is juicy, could use some more seasoning though. Overall a great place to try, probably a 4.5 but I'll round up!

Liked this izakaya-ish restaurant. You can order lots of small dishes to try. Like that you can add a soup/salad/rice combo for $3. The yakitori was good, I think next time I will try more of those. Everything we ordered was good. Really liked the potato salad and croquettes. Solid place for a casual meal.
