The food and prices are on par for Naples, but the service/ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. Given there are plenty of other places with good food in the area, I probably wouldn't return here.
We had two pizzas during a late lunch (~3pm) on a Saturday. When we showed up, the place was surprisingly packed given the time. Most people appeared to be finishing lunches or just having wine, though, and it was basically empty an hour later.
It aims for this old charm, touting its 1916 foundation date everywhere. However, it comes across more as a facade with little heart/history behind it; the waiters go through the motions without showing actual care/interest for the customers there.
Will it do the trick if you're hungry? Sure. If you can't read/speak a word of Italian, they have English menus and most of the wait staff speaks English, so it has that going for it. Will you leave feeling like just another table turned over? Pretty much. The coffee bar at the fancy grocery store across the street will make you feel more appreciated.
