A great spot for lunch with a variety delicious special rolls and sushi. I love the concept of trying various options and pay by weight, perfect for those with commitment issues. For those who are indecisive and salmon lover, my favorite are - seared salmon nigiri - salmon inari (tofu pocket) - double salmon - salmon obsession These are good quality pieces that i wish i got more. We went a busy lunch time so a lot was waiting to be refilled but still plenty of good options available. Don’t sleep on the sauce station as well, very thoughtful with the cucumber water! Will come back!

I really like this sushi by weight concept and the quality I’m getting for the money. This place has great variety and the quality is great. I’d say the quality of the sushi is on par with most neighborhood sushi restaurants. The ingredients are fresh, the sushi rice is well cooked and flavorful. Overall just decent sushi. Price is very affordable too at $14.99/lbs. For reference, the two trays are about 0.7lbs each, so 1.4lbs together, and the total after tax is $24.22. That’s seriously good value as a premium sushi roll from the grocery store these days costs $12-15. So offering quality sushi at this price is seriously good value and I’m all for it I really like the whole concept and the sushi this place makes, I’ll be a regular and I hope they keep it up!

I absolutely love this place. Such good variety and quality. A must-try if you work nearby especially. I paid about 20 for this tray and it was perfect. This is an awesome place if you like variety because you can get 1 of everything!

This place is simply amazing. I luv sushi but I like to try many things. Unfortunately, even at AYCE, when you order a roll you get 8 pieces and honestly I only want to have 1 slice, so I can try others. Finally, someone decided to do a sushi by weight. We do ice cream and pizza by weight, so why not sushi. But here’s the kicker; the ingredients are fresh, high quality and super flavorful. And the trays I purchased was about 2 lbs total for only about $15 each. Thats at least one maki roll in restaurants but you only get to try one thing. But I really like nigiri, and the cost by piece is so much less than restos and grocery store nigiri. The space is contemporary and very clean, extremely minimalist, which gave it eye appeal. The staff was helpful and friendly. There is very little seating but I think that’s apropos!! My suggestion is get your trays and walk across the street to the nearby parks or the steps of the Art Institute and people watch or enjoy with that special person in the open air!! Definitely will travel to Loop just for this food concept!!

Very unique concept to grab a quick bite of sushi. You can pick any sushi pieces you like, and you pay by the weight! My plate was about $20. Would recommend for something quick, easy, fresh and healthy.

I stop here after work about once a week around 5:30, and they always have trays full with a great selection. The price is very reasonable for how fresh the sushi is, and the free spicy mayo, eel sauce and ginger are a bonus. If you're a student you also get a discount. I've recommended this place to all of my friends who like sushi. If you also have a hard time talking to people, this is your spot. You serve yourself and keep to yourself!
